fasting prayer and I felt the Lord gave me a concept on worship he took me back to the Old Testament Tabernacle and he he said there's a lot of churches that are outer Court churches anybody can come to the article anybody can show up at the door of the tabernacle and he said then there are some churches that will go just a little deeper in there the holy place they have the light the bread is there the Spirit is there they can smell the incense they can feel the anointing when they go to church but he said my desire is that my people which are called by my name would create the holy of holies every time they go to church you got to go through the outer courts you got to repent get rid of some things when you walk in the house there needs to be a washing a cleansing you need to receive the word in the spirit but your job is to create a holy of Holy's this morning where the Spirit of the Lord can dwell in his Shekinah glory where someone can be healed just because they're standing beside you in an atmosphere of pray where someone can be filled with the Holy Ghost during worship hallelujah lujah Lord and the Lord wants us to do that this morning somebody needs him this morning somebody needs that touch can you create that atmosphere with me this morning hallelujah in the presence of everything that you need we see his day that's when he comes down Oh all for you in the presence of that's where that's where your whatever you lift your hands and reach out Oh I want you to say that again I will wake you just close your eyes and ratios and that's just sad think about it and I will I'm waiting on you I will wait ooh Oh exact yes in the trail away your present surah in the prayers in the presence of the law where I wanna be in the yeah your turn on you we're waiting right now I will weigh Oh boring I feel one more time singing the prison you're the presence of the Lord in the presence of the Lord that's where you'll find everything when we see his fake um down Oh Oh hallelujah oh yes Lord we praise you we brace you can you just lift your hands and give them a little wave offering right I why should you are you Oh your present shoe I am so thankful that no matter where we are we can be in our home church we can be in a building like this it's multifunctional we can be in our car be anywhere and we can feel the presence of that holy God I am so thankful for that he's a god that's always present and if you are not feeling the Lord if you're not feeling something now and if you need something you're not getting it it's here it is here and I don't want you to leave going home the same way you came if you're sick you can be healed if you've got a need it can be met and I'm so thankful so thankful that he's here and we can feel his presence you may be seated except Angie Beecham Angie Thompson stand up I want to give a praise report this is Angie my cousin she goes to the Finley's church and one year ago this week she was having a surgery for cancer and she's here well cancer-free and we're so thankful she's a testimony to everybody and I know there's others that's got testimonies but we can got time for all of them so right a man's sister tournament is always asking for praise reports send them to sister's tournament pictures praise reports anything you've got get them to sister's tournament she'll get them to the daughters of Zion they put a praise report on the internet on the website so website so get them to sister's tournament or send them straight there yourself it doesn't matter we need praise reports we pray for things and we need to know that they've been answered we're know they're going to be but we need to know that they're going to be answered we're so happy you're here today this is a wonderful crowd this year we're just about maxed out again and we're thankful for that god is good to us we want to Vicki Piercy are you in the audience Vicki pearcy all right we missed her while ago she's she's even shorter than sister Fannin so we don't know if she was standing and we missed her we missed her but we're glad to have sister Vicki Pearson she's one of our sectional leaders tune does a great job at sister plot didn't she do a wonderful job this morning she can be so funny and do funny things and then just turn it around and make a blessing out of it and I'm thankful thank you sister plot wherever you are and sister Granquist is here she is three hours behind us in time so you know we didn't know it being so early on her time if she would even make it this morning but didn't she bless us last night thank you sister Granquist and we're looking forward to another night of it tonight we have a special lady with us today and she never needs an introduction because she makes herself known as she married a Tennessee boy so we claim her her mother-in-law and all her sister-in-laws and all the Finley family is here and Chicago family's here from her church in Chicago and she was from the same church my husband was from and her husband Steve is from the same church as I was from so we kind of got together but it's a miracle she's a wonderful lady it was a miracle especially there I'll let her tell you about if she wants to she is a wonderful wonderful lady come on sister barb I learned a long time ago you hear a lot of people talk about missionaries and their wives this is a missionary she's not just the wife so sister drope I never said brother Walter drugs the missionary and this is his wife these are missionaries and I want you ladies I mean that song this morning sister Gregg has told us last night we're women that are powerful now I don't believe in women's lib I do not I am NOT a women's libber I'm just I'm totally against it but I know that with God we have power and this is one powerful lady and she'll just tell you more about herself god bless you sister barb Willoughby my poor sound men are trying to adjust me for some reason I think my head is congested or something but these floor things sound like they're dead maybe you're hearing me out there but it's dead on the stage is it that way was it that way for you last night okay it just feels that way it feels like we're on that side of a well ladies never mind my head feels that way too so it might as well feel like that on the stage then it's all in agreement right last night I told God before I came to service I said Lord I want you to use sister grant quest to confirm some things in my life about what you want me to speak about today and it was kind of unusual because what God was going to have me speak on is something I haven't spoke on into the there they come you got it brother you found the button um praise God he's still on the throne can you hear it now see it's not my imagination hmm okay when I was laying in my room yesterday and I wasn't feeling well God gave me some specific thoughts for you lady and you ladies in Tennessee I thought it was significant for several reasons one being that you have been such a support to me and Steve off over the years in fact when we landed in Knoxville Steve started talking hillbilly again which you know that's his generics you know that's all right I'm Chicago so he tries to help me we got in the car and he started doing that thing again and so I tried to practice instead of saying you guys y'all and all that stuff and he said don't barb so I'm not going to try that but there is a long heritage between you guys or you all and us we go back a long way and God has intertwined our lives and so it was very expected in my spirit that God would tell me something that I felt was specifically for you ladies since I was coming here and all the virtue and the love and the support financially and the backing and prayers that you have done for Steve and I over the years and we've been gone now for about 15 16 years overseas it seemed that God would do something for you women and so as I was in my room I said God I'm willing to do anything even though it's not something I would usually do I'm willing to do it but I want you to confirm some of it with sister Granquist and lady you are awesome as you spoke last night God confirmed some of the stuff that I was feeling in my heart I would go and do anything anywhere you are I have done ladies meetings and I have not felt what I have felt when I've been around this lady she is a awesome one woman of God and the anointing of God is on her and I feel thrilled that I'm in the same meeting as her with that all in mind I don't know why I'm talking so much about all this before I start I woke up this morning about 4 o'clock and God woke me up and that's how God does it he just wakes me up out of a sound sleep when it's time for me to get up if he wants me to get up and pray and God reminded me of a story and I'm going to open this session this story so you will know what God is trying to do for you ladies in Tennessee I think it's significant and I think it is going to be something that is going to set off something in the spirit realm that cannot be stopped I believe one prayer or one day can make that kind of difference I woke up this morning and God reminded me of the story of sister Julia sister Julia was a lady in Malaysia when we first went overseas who was just a lady in the church she was married to a really nice man he was a businessman he worked in the insurance line and they were just a young couple when we first arrived there and did not have a lot of experience working for God we taught them Bible study they brought in their friends we taught their friends Bible studies and these young couples became a great backbone to that church that was in the capital city of KL well over the years they became such a strong support to the pastor that was there that in the middle of the night after I don't know maybe 10 years had gone by she called us and she called us very upset she called he said brother Willoughby would you please pray she said my husband has just been taken to the hospital he's had a massive heart attack and they have told us he will not live through the night and God told me to call you I don't know what to do now what I'm talking about today is going to be on obedience and that obedience has three key elements that God told me to tell you women in in Tennessee that there was three key things that he wanted you to understand about obedience that was going to set you in a chain reaction to some things that God wants to accomplish for the state of Tennessee she was in obedience in the middle of the night when her husband was in a massive heart attack she's calling Steve and she said God told me to call you I don't know what to do but all I know to do is I'm supposed call and see says I don't have an answer for you God didn't tell me anything specifically he said but I will go in prayer and I will pray until God gives me an answer sister Julia don't worry go back to your husband and I will pray and I will call you give me your cell phone number I don't know if you guys call him Mobile's or hand phones we call him cell phones he says give me the number and I will call you as soon as God tells me something to tell you and so he prayed for about three hours and when he did God told him this now this was way out on a limb I'm talking this morning about obedience and obedience that can take you out on a limb to an area that maybe is not very comfortable for you in fact it should not be comfortable for you because if it is comfortable for you you are probably still in the flesh but the Spirit is wanting to take us to a place of obedience that will take you way out on a limb and when you do that he will meet you there he said I've got a big one for you God told me to tell you this she said he says what is what is the doctor said about the prognosis she said they say he won't live through the night brother willoughby it was a massive heart attack he said God just told me to tell you in prayer that your husband will live through the night and in three days God will right raise him up and he's going to walk out of the hospital fine now if you know about major heart attacks that's not normal you're usually an ICU for some time hopefully then you're into all kinds of surgeries and then you're into all kinds of recuperation then you're into two weeks so don't do anything and be careful and then checking you up he said God told he said I know this sounds crazy but I'm a no BAE what God told me to tell you don't worry when he wakes up in the morning he's going to start feeling better in three days he's gonna leave the hospital and as God spoke the word so it happened in three days she calls you she says we're leaving the hospital he is totally well they don't understand what happened he came in and they thought he would die and he's leaving totally well that is where God is wanting to take you Tennessee women into a place of obedience that lead you into the supernatural it's not going to be anything you have to make happen it's not going to be anything you have to do except obey now why God reminded me of this story was this we received an email about a month and a half ago from sister Julia she and her husband when God raised her husband back up he totally left his business and he was quite successful in it major city and they sold all their possessions and they moved the East Malaysia which is very more like the country it's another part of a city and you have to fly there over a big ocean but there's still the same country God told them to go to this remote area that did not have an Apostolic Church that they were to sell everything and that they were to go there and they were to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to those people so they had sold everything and they had moved to that country they did not know anyone they were simply obeying what God told them to do and revival broke out needless to say because whenever you obey God you can expect that God will show up revival broke out among those people they started winning businessmen and business women they started winning children God just gave them the increase she'd go to the grocery store witness to people and God would add to the church everywhere they went God would bring people to them and allow them to open their mouths and to share their testimony and it would bring forth fruit what this email was about I thought was mind-boggling the way God does stuff folks is never the way you think it's going to happen so stop trying to figure out just do what he tells you to do she wrote the email and said that God woke her up early in the morning and he'd been doing this for over a month and finally she said she felt like she had to write us and say what does this mean she says for a month early morning before daybreak God had woke her up and told her to intercede for Tennessee she said what is Tennessee is it a city is it a state where is Tennessee she says all I know is God told me that I'm supposed to pray for Tennessee she said would you ask Singapore to join in with me praying for that place what is it brother Steve he said well it's a state and it's where I came from she said well God has shared with me an early morning prayer that he is getting ready to release a great revival to that state and would you join in prayer for me I don't know where it is I don't know who they are but I know that the spirit said it's coming it's coming and if all do what I should do God will do what he should do hey you don't know her what I'm trying to tell you is you don't always know what's happening you may think who could intercede for me and who could pray for me and God has somebody on the other side of the world that does not even know you doesn't even understand the state name you're living in but he says it's time and when God says it's time if you obey what he says the gates of Hell shall not prevail against the word obedience to the word the most powerful concept in God's kingdom today obedience the most powerful concept in the world today is obedience you say well I've heard obedience all my life maybe you have but maybe you have never applied it the way that God wants you to apply it because it is a powerful force in the world today then if you just obey what thus says the Word of God it will do something that man cannot do and man cannot stop 1st Corinthians 1 and 20 says for all the promises in his word I put that behind that for all the promises parentheses in his word of God in him are yes and in him amen it's pretty settled it's pretty simple the promises of God are yes and amen to the glory of God how through us you want the promises of yes and amen it will come through you through your obedience you will get yes and amen the promises of God verse 21 now he who established us with you in Christ has anointed us his promises will come through you because he has anointed you when God filled you with His Holy Spirit he anointed your life the moment you spoke in tongues so I'm waiting for this anointing to come it's already come when they spelled you he anointed you he gave you the level of anointing that you needed right when he filled you now I have often said that there's three levels of anointing one is when you're filled with the Holy Ghost and one is appointment it's when your pastor or somebody over you a headship says would you try to do something and you're like Lulu I'm so scared I remember the first time they ever asked me to speak I was like so sick to my stomach it's like I don't know if I can do this but I did it because of the anointing of appointment in other words has that ever happened to you you have pastor says I want you to teach a Sunday School class and you see I can't do it I cannot do that that is that is like too scary and you finally step out in faith and you do it and an anointing comes on you that's a placement anointing that happens every time you obey Authority because it flows from the head to the tails of the garment the oil flows downward as you get underneath the authority of God that oil of anointing will automatically go for man and flow over you and it will be a placement anointing you don't know if you don't have to know how to do it you don't have to know what to say you don't have to have the education the training it comes it's called placement anointing simply out of obedience and the third level is suffering obedience obedience to God's Word and his principles or fails they never fail they will never fail you when you obey the spoken Rama word of God to your life when you obey what the written word says there will always be a response in the supernatural when you agree in the physical with the spiritual and you say I will agree with God's Word you make a covenant the flesh makes a covenant with the spiritual man spiritual God and you become his partner and he will not ever leave you shortchanged whenever you do what the Word of God tells you to do whether it is a written word of God or it is the spoken word of God for your situation for the day you're living in the year you're living in the city you're living in if you do want to save the Word of God God will always back you always obedience to God's words does three things first one obedience to God's Word start you on a progression into his presence now let me explain that when you obey God's Word it may be the written word you may actually struggle with what some of the things in the Bible tell you to do that does not mean you're evil that means you're a little too fleshly still you know but that's something we all work at so I don't condemn you I don't say nasty bad bad naughty girl it just lets you kind of gauges yourself you can gauge your spirituality by your mouth if your mouth is saying I think that's stupid I don't think that's necessary did it does the Bible really mean that you're getting real close to what happened in the garden be very careful when your mouth does not agree with the written word of God it will speak it and what do you do when you know that it is a good gauge it's kind of like a thermometer it lets you know hello I'm a little bit too fleshly my flesh is a little bit too strong right now because how do I know it's too strong because I know by what my mouth is saying my mouth is confessing what my heart is like and my heart is not where it should be or I could be obedient to what the Word of God says because the bottom line is this he's God you're not his word is eternal you're not if God says that that's all there is to it I don't care if you like it if you don't like it I don't care if it's easy if it's convenient I don't care if it's comfortable God doesn't care he's God and God says you doing my way or the highway but your mouth will let you know where are you at in your obedience to him sometimes when you are going to obey God you do not feel God when you want to obey you feel nothing it is simply obedience there is no feeling involved you don't do it because you feel it you do it to feel it you don't respond to God just because you feel the Holy Ghost you do it because you want to be obedient to the Santha Word of God and when you do obey it you start on a progression into his presence but it starts out feeling nothing not me give me an example after I had been sick and I was laying in my bed after my surgery I knew that they were having church and I knew what was going on I knew they were all worshiping and they were shouting and having a great old time and I was laying flat on my back that was my first Sunday and I couldn't do anything and so as I laid there I asked God God I'd really like to be in that service but I'm not physically able to do it today but still I would like to be a part of what is happening so God I want you to direct me by your word what I should do God is always speaking God is always directing you God is always moving God is never still he moved he talks he directs but the problem is is we don't listen and we don't obey he tells us to do stuff and were scared and we don't do it and so he stops talking to us and then when he does talk to us and we get back Jimmy asked us did you do what I already told you to do and we're like no and he's like why not it's kind of like my kids when they come to me and they say can I go outside and meet my friends for lunch and I say well have you made your bed no well did you brush your teeth no did you hang up your clothes no then go upstairs make your bed hang up your clothes and brush your teeth then come back to me and we'll talk about you going and doing something so maybe a half an hour goes by and they come back again mom I'd like to leave is it okay we'll have you hung up your clothes have you made your bed have you brushed your teeth well no well then why are you asking me because you didn't do them when I first told you sometimes God does not tell us again because he's still waiting for the law or the first mention he tells you what to do but you don't ever do it and when you come back to me takes you right back where he started to in the first place and says if you will do that then I'll tell you something else and I was laying on the bed and I said God what is it that I need to do in this situation because I want to be obedient to the Spirit I'm laying flat on my back I don't feel the Holy Ghost I don't feel anything except pain sharp pain surgery pain no Holy Ghost zero Holy Ghost and God takes me to his scripture and the scripture says in Philippians 4:6 rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God and the peace of God which passes all understanding will guard your heart and your minds do Christ Jesus and I said wow that's a pretty neat situation there what do I do with it God are you telling me for me to be obedient in the situation I need to thank you for right where I'm at am I supposed to thank you that I've got cancer that sounds really weird God now if that's what you want me to do fine but I want you to help my understanding because I don't want to say thank you for something that I don't understand how I can possibly thank you for it if you will help my understanding then I will be glad to be obedient to what you want me do and God said just obey and the understanding will come often that's how God is God doesn't tell you why he just tells you to do it because he's God he doesn't have to tell you why but when you do what God tells you to do he will often times tell you why afterwards and so I laid on my bed and I started the strangest things I've ever done before I laid there and I said God I raised my hand I didn't feel a thing now I'm talking about that obedience leads you into the presence of God I did not feel anything I was strictly doing what I thought was obedient to God and obedience to his word spoken or written and I said God your word says and everything give thanks so I raised my one good arm and I said God I want to thank you for allowing cancer to come into my life did not feel a thing I said okay I said that God now you're gonna have to help me out a little bit because I really don't know where to go from here I thought if my mom hears me saying this prayer or my mother-in-law hears me saying this prayer they're probably think I'm nuts how could I ever thank you for this situation and as I laid there then understanding came see because obedience leads you into his presence but you don't get understanding until you get in his presence you have to step out on a limb and do what he tells you to do with no understanding but when you get into his presence then it's when you're in his presence you're where he is and where he is his scepter is and where the scepter is his power is and he will instruct you and tell you what to do and as I was in his presence and I could feel him God started talking to me pray for this and so I said okay God and I started praying thank you for allowing this in my life I don't believe you gave me cancer but Lord you knew that I would not charge you foolishly you knew that I would still serve you you knew God that I would trust you you knew I would never leave you you knew God that this would not destroy me God you could have given it to a brother or a sister in the church and they might have left you they might not have served you they might have given up on you oh God but Lord you have that much confidence in me that you know that this this would pass and then I would serve you and I would use it as a testimony for your glory thank you God for trusting in me that much thank you God that you are confident in me and when I started praying like that then I could feel his presence because the scripture says and everything give thanks sometimes when you're given thanks purely out of obedience you will not feel a thing until you do it but once you start doing it you start to feel it and I felt his presence and when I felt his presence then God told me further instruction but I had to get into his presence in order to get the instruction and God told me okay that's good barb you praise me now let's go a little deeper and I said well God what do you want me to pray for now he said now you're gonna get into the heart of the matter now I want you to pray for revival in Singapore now get the picture folks I'm laying on my bed desperately needing God to touch me not feeling him until I thank him for what I'm in the middle of and then when I feel them he tells me good now you're right where I want you now pray for the souls of Singapore that's supposed to be the place where we say wait a minute first we spend the next three hours praying for myself because I've got a big problem here I need you to focus on me but that's not how obedience to God's Word operates obedience to God's Word never has you focused on yourself obedience to God's Word spoken or written is always for somebody else's need for somebody else's problem because God understands the principle that if you will be about his business he will take care of your business you're not to worry about tomorrow he will worry about your tomorrow you don't have to take care of your needs he will take care of your needs for you and so I started interceding and I started praying God send the angels to the east and the north and the south and the West to Singapore and I started crying and travailing for the souls of the nation of Singapore is that God you've got to save these people but I pray that you will send a revival in to this nation and let us read these people that are hungry take off their spiritual blindness God open their hearts that revival would break out we've got to win them Oh God you've got to save them and as I prayed like that God said that's great but you need to go a little higher and I thought God just tell me what you want me to pray for I'll do it God and God said let's go to the 1040 window let's aim a little bit higher and I said God you've got to save China you've got to save Indonesia you've got to save the Philippines you've got to save Cambodia you've got to reach into Thailand Oh God the other diet you've got to save the lost and when I did that never once to God let me pray for myself when I did that I could feel the presence of God coming to my room all of a sudden he was there all of a sudden God Almighty had stepped into my room and my situation and I reached up and I could feel his strength I could feel his might I could feel his power I could feel his presence it had stopped the end of 2004 or 5 whichever year was he was there and I reached up and I grabbed God and my other hand reached out and I was gathering and sheep Lord gathering in the lost and you know what happens folks this is the principle because when you are obedient to God it always takes you into his presence that's the first thing it starts you on a progression into where he is just simple obedience as I touch God and I reached out and I made a funnel it was impossible for something not to happen to me because I was reaching God and I was reaching out to someone else and when I did that power of God just soared through me and when I did then BAM and only then the peace of God threaded my mind it's letting a guard in my heart it didn't do it because I prayed for peace then I pray for understanding it was a natural byproduct of me being OBT it to what God said to do he guarded my mind he guarded my heart as I prayed and reached for others when you are plugged into God's presence and you are about his commission your needs have to be met because his Spirit is flowing through you and where the Spirit of God flows there is Liberty where the Spirit of God flows there is victory and power you cannot remain the same if you are plugged into the power of God and you are reaching for the lost the first thing you do with obedience is it takes you into his presence excuse me the second thing you do with obedience is obedience gives you God's provisions now these three things God told me this just for you ladies when you obey God he will take you into his presence and when you get in his presence understanding will come it won't come until you get there and the only way to get there is by obeying him and it will be scary my husband spells faith our is K it's faith God can see you have to take a risk you have to expose yourself you have to step out to where your flesh is not comfortable but when you do that obedience will give you God's provision when sister Granquist was preaching last night I just had to smile because two of the examples that I felt God had gave me for today for you women was the two examples that she used when you obey God God will always provide for whatever he asks you to do now he's not going to ask you to do something that you don't that he doesn't provide for I do not we had a pastor once that was wanting to give money overseas and he said I'm gonna put it on my credit card I said I don't believe that's the will of God I don't believe God deals in credit I said if God doesn't give you the money then you don't have anything to give God doesn't do credit cards God's bigger than that he supplies your needs as you step out in obedience just like the woman that had a handful of meal when Elijah the Tishbite came to her in first Kings seventeen and one she was doing what she always did she was gathering the twigs she was getting ready to do what she did every single day but in the middle of doing what she always did God showed up to ask her if she could be obedient and what she always did and her obedience was connected to her provision today's obedience unlocks tomorrow's blessing today's what you do right now will unlock your tomorrow and so she was just using what she always had she had the twigs and then that man of God says and I thought that was awesome when you said that God had already spoke to her and already told her it was coming God does not do anything without letting you know he always spoke to his prophets before it happened he will speak to you it's not going to be surprised you didn't know no God always tells you what's coming what's coming for you to do he will reveal it to you and explain it to you and let you know you're supposed to do it but still you have to obey and he says give me some water and as she's getting some water then he said and she's being obedient to that one that one wasn't too hard for go get some water everybody's got water so that wasn't too bad and in the middle of getting the water then it says in the scripture that he says give me the meal that you have and she's like if you take the last bit of my flour what am I gonna do to feed my son I was just getting ready I gathered up my six what I usually do and I was getting ready and God had already spoke to her God had already told her to be obedient and yet when if she was faced face to face with her obedience situation she debated should I do it or shouldn't I do it let me tell you something God is trying to ask somebody here today be obedient to what the Word of God has already spoken to you don't doubt what God has said don't doubt what God is going to do if God said it that's enough if God says it it's always enough you just simply have to step out do what you've always done go and do like you've always done but be obedient so she takes the water and then he asks for the meal now the water she jumps up with yeah I remember that word I remember you told me there it was coming I can do the water no problem then that man had the gall to ask for the meal obedience will always cost you something the water didn't cost her a whole lot because that one she could jump up real easy that was not her difficult area but what was going to cost her something was that hand full of meal because whenever you are obedient to God God will ask something of you and will cost you something to be obedient obedience is never cheap it will cost you something and when I thought of this I thought of the three sins the lust of the eyes the lust of the flesh and the pride of life every sin is connected to those three things the lust of the flesh the lust of the eyes and the pride of life and the woman with the hand full of meal was the lust of the eyes she could only see what was in her hand the lust of the eyes that's my provision that's how I'm gonna survive you mean that you're gonna ask me and my obedience to give up something that's gonna cost me physically this is all I see I put my hope in my trust in this meal it's my last meal of we're gonna die and you still want that you mean you're gonna take it all every time your obedient God will ask you for something it will either cost you something physically or it will cost you pride Noah he built the ark it cost his pride it was the pride of life you can imagine as he stood there and he built that boat how much his pride was crucified daily as he built that you mungus object that caused him daily ridicule from all the neighbors and friends and and people that live by and they thought he was a nut he crucified his pride as he nailed in every nail because God when you obey Him it will cost you pride it will cost you an area that you will have to give up that may not be very comfortable but the Bible says that Noah did as the LORD commanded Daniel he prayed three times he refused to change his allegiance and when I thought of this story it reminded me of the situation with the lust of the flesh because Daniel had to cheat either the visible king or the invisible king he had a choice it was the lust of the flesh it was either he did what was good for the flesh and he didn't pray and he only prayed to the king of the flesh or he prayed and he went ahead and prayed three times to the spiritual king it was a battle of the flesh and the spirit it was the lust of the flesh it was nature sins and many times when God asked us to be obedient it will crucify our nature well that's not my nature to dance well that's not my nature to shout well that's not my nature to testify well that's not my nature to be outgoing I'm timid I'm backward that you know we've had people actually come up to us and say I love to watch you worship to me that's an oxymoron how do you love to watch someone worship worship is something you do it's not a watching thing and the lust of the flesh is a splash and a spiritual battle you will either give into your flesh your nature your natural nature that you were born to when you received when you came into this world or you will do what God tells you to do be obedient to his word which is contrary to everything you were born in to of the flesh and you will walk in the spirit and you will do as the spirit says but to do that you will have to crucify your flesh but when you do it it releases your provision now I've already said that obedience takes you into his presence and obedience releases God's provision and the demo is constantly trying to get us to sell off short he's wanting to try to convince us that we don't need to change our sin nature that we don't have to change the way and what we were born in then we can be just like we've always been have it your way that's McDonald's have it your way have it your way that's not God that is man selling you short of where God wants to take you in the spirit God is saying there is no your way in the spirit and the spirit there is only the stat the Word of God and if you will do what the Word of God says then I will give you provisions I will provide for your needs I will give you everything you want but you got to do it my way what was it Frank Sinatra that did that world famous song what is this I did it my way boy we love that you know we like those kind of songs but God says there is no your way there is only my way in fact the king realized this when Daniel was praying these three three times a day and and the King said I'm gonna do something to try to change this nature of these people and so they realized in the Bible days that your name said who you were it told your nature it told your destiny it told who you were in God and what God wanted to do with you until the king said I'm gonna change that the king was just the physical it was what we battle with in this world the King said I'm gonna change your name Daniel because your name means God is my judge he said I'm changing it first thing he did when he got in him into that situation as he said I'm changing your name to Belshazzar and that means bail will protect and he says Hananiah he said I'm going to change your name because your name means God is gracious and I'm going to change you to Shadrach because Shadrach means that a male date deity of Babylon is going to be your protection he said that Michele your name means who is God no can't have that can't have that name I'm gonna change you to me Shaq which means who is like the moon deity and as their God is my help I'm going to change your name to a bendigo servant of Nemo which it was which had to do with astronomy today's obedience will cost you something it will cost you pride or it will cost you provisions that you have that you're putting all your trust in that money that you have or that security that you have or that retirement that you have or whatever it is got the Scott stock piled up to feel pretty comfortable in that everything's gonna be alright when God gets ready to do something with you he usually creates a void when he created the heavens and the earth the earth was void and darkness hovered over hovered all over and the Spirit of God hovered over that God is attracted to voids so he will usually create a void so that he can show up in a big way let me give you an example we were in Singapore I'm talking about that obedience will cost you something lust of the flesh pride a life whatever it may be we were in Singapore and we were getting ready to come home and Steve was out on early morning prayer and he was at the East Coast praying which is along the side of Singapore's just a little island so it's on the east eastern side of the island he would go there for morning prayer before sunrise and he was there praying and in the middle of his prayer he said he could feel God's presence and God spoke to him and said Steve you know that $10,000 that you have in savings he said yeah he says it means too much to you and she says no it doesn't I haven't even thought about that ten dollars $10,000 that's in a money market I won't use it until I go home for deputation we'll buy a car with it I hadn't even thought about it and God said yes he said but you're getting ready to go home and he says yeah I am he said and you've been thinking about that car that you need to get and he said well yeah he said I want that money and Steve said okay but you need to talk to Barb can you tell her about this obedience will cost you something so he walks into the room into our house everything gets done with prayer and he comes through the glass doors that was our sliding doors into the house and he says barb I was out at morning prayer and God spoke to me and he told me something really significant he said this is a biggie I said okay and he said God told me to give him something he said but it's a big amount and I need for you to confirm it and I said ok no problem and I was heading up the stairs to the second level and he said no listen to me as if I wasn't he said I need you to pray about this this is a big thing I said ok no problem it's like I heard it the first time so I went upstairs and he said well I want you to pray about it for a couple you know for a week or two then get back to me and tell me what God tells you he said because I need an answer I said no problem so about a week or two went by and he I never said anything to him and he came up to me and he said did you pray about this I said I didn't have to what do you mean you didn't pray about this I told you this was really important God told me we had to do something and I needed you to pray to confirm it I said I already knew what God wanted us to do he said you mean when I walked in there and I told you God told me something you know right then I said yeah why didn't you tell me you didn't ask he said well what did God tell you I said he said to give him $10,000 that we have in savings he said oh my word you've done it now he said that money's gone I said well it was gone two weeks ago because as soon as you walked in the door I knew it was gone God said ten thousand and I was like okay so four we started praying about three months we prayed about that $10,000 who to give it to obedience will cost you something for three months we get up early before sunrise and we said there's got to be a missionary on some sandy beach somewhere crying give me money cuz that's what they always need so we were sure there was a missionary somewhere crying out for money so we said God just tell us who it is we've already got the check we've already told us yes just tell us we'll give it to him no answer dead silence three months we prayed for this weird finally we had a special speaker that came to Singapore obedience will cost you something this speaker came to the church and they were with us in the middle of the meeting they got a phone call they were in the process of taking their youth choir to Europe to Prague to sing on the streets and hold revival meetings there in the middle of them doing a meeting for us in Singapore they received a phone call and the phone call said I'm sorry but the quote that we gave you for the choir to come is gonna cost you $10,000 more me and Steve smiled at each other we were so excited this is so cool 10,000 god you're so cool we knew it was them this is awesome three months before they knew they had a need God had already told us to supply it - awesome so they're sitting there with this need and we're praying everyday can we tell them can we be obedient now is this the now God is your is now the time God says you can't tell them two weeks they sat in our living room what are we gonna do about this I don't know we cannot we're just gonna have to cancel the trip I guess I mean it's ten thousand we're over-budget the kids have cut corn in the fields they've worked jobs they picked beans they've done everything there's ten thousand short we have no more money I don't know what we're gonna do and we're sitting there going I do but I can't tell you and I don't know why I can't tell you but I know it's already been taking care of him we take oh don't worry about it you know one of those casual statements that they're like you don't understand how can you say don't worry about what we knew why not to worry about it the money was already in the bank they left Singapore we never got to tell him Lord this is very odd you had us pray about this for three months they'd show up the two weeks they're here and they're totally distressed and anxious about this and we have the answer and you won't let us tell them you are really something God and we God says just keeping to keep continue praying so we prayed for the next forty days every day we get up is this the day God that we get to do what you told us to do no is this the day God no on the 40th day God said call him now okay God you really do stuff like we wouldn't do it she picked up the phone and he called them they're our dear dear friends brother and sister dowdy in Mattoon he called me said now you guys are going to feel really uncomfortable with this because I know you don't like taking money from us but God told us three months ago that we were to give $10,000 to a need and when you landed in poor and that need arose God told us it was you but what was so weird and what we didn't understand is God said we could not tell you that we had your answer and now all of a sudden this morning God said to call you now and to tell you now that the need has been provided for he said do you understand all this he said would you wait one minute I've got to go get sister dowdy she's in the church praying right now I need to go get her and let her talk to you and he went in there and she said she told us she was at the altar and she had been in Singapore and in Singapore God had told her if you will obey me for the next 40 days and do what I ask you to do in prayer then on the 40th day I will provide for your need she said I was laying in the auditorium crying and saying it's 10:40 where's the money I've been obedient where's the provision I've done what you said where is the release and she got on the phone and she said what you didn't realize Steve was that God couldn't release my blessing until I was obedient to what he told me to do but that's not the end of the story they went on their choir tour to Europe and they sang on the streets of Prague and there was a girl off the streets by the name of Bergy de who got the Holy Ghost mber kita could speak five languages she spoke Japanese Chinese three Slovak NATO dialects thank you and she spoke English and I don't know what the other one was and after God saved her we were on deputation during this time after we gave the money we went home and when we went home we had a huge need in Singapore and we did not have any way for anybody to take care of our office the church was very small at the time and we desperately needed a secretary and it didn't make sense because if we had taken that $10,000 we could have hired a secretary while we were gone but God says no no no it's not about you wrong no you don't give to yourself give that money to Mattoon because Mattoon is going to Europe and when we got back from deputation and we walked into our office they're sitting at the computer was a girl by the name of Brigitta and I said hi who are you where did you come from she said oh my name is Burkina she's I said well how did you get saved you know how did you come to know the Lord how did you end up in our office have you been here long I don't think you were around when I was we when we left you know how did you get to sit behind this computer in this place in the middle of Singapore she said it's the wildest story she said I was walking down the street in Prague and she said there was a youth choir that was singing and God spoke to my heart and they prayed me through to the baptism of the Holy Spirit and I got baptized in Jesus name on the streets in Prague I said you're kidding who was that choir she said it was love choir from Illinois I said Mattoon how did you get the Singapore she said well after I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost God spoke to me and told me that I needed to take three months or four months or five months I don't remember how long and I needed to come to Singapore and I needed to volunteer my time and help here doing what I could and I said that is awesome now let me tell you I could have taken my ten thousand dollars and hired somebody in Singapore to be the secretary but obedience is not the way you think it's going to be instead God said give it to Illinois and Illinois is going to go to Europe and Europe is going to save someone off the streets and she's going to come to Singapore and your answer for tomorrow is going to be connected with exactly what you do today when I speak to you out of obedience tomorrow's provision what you need tomorrow is directly connected to what you do right now it will never make sense it will not be the way you think about it but the fourth thing it does and I'm going to close quickly obedience takes you into his presence obedience releases his provisions and obedience releases his power for your situation when you obey God when you obey the spoken word if somebody comes and speaks a word to you or God speaks a word to you Rama for right where you're at if you're reading your Bible and it jumps out to you and it's something that is 4 right where you're at if you will do what that spirit is drawing you to do God will release his power and his presence to you he released the provisions that you need to do whatever he is asking you to do and he will back up everything he says with his supernatural power and I'm going to close with this example Ezra was talking to a backslidden people that was in captivity and this is in Nehemiah eight one two three and it says that all the people gathered together as one man in the open square now when I underline one man in an open square I put under that that they were not in one mind I've always heard it preached that they were in one mind and one Accord they were not in one mind they were in one Accord that's all the Bible says they were in one Accord in other words pastors wives your Saints will not always be in one mind with you they don't have to be in one mind with you in other words you can have a different way of going about doing something than the way I would do it that means we're not in one mind your idea is different than my idea it's okay that you have a different idea than me it's okay that you share your ideas with me but that does not mean that I necessarily am is going to do whatever your idea is I take your ideas I pray about it and I ask God what is your perfect will for this situation then we say God said for me to do such and such and such then we get in one Accord see the difference one Accord means yes I am going to be behind the man of God even though it's not the way I would do it even though I don't understand what he's doing I simply will be obedient because it is the man of God it's not the way I would do it it's not the way I would say it and Ezra it says in the scripture that they were together in one as one man they were in one Accord in the open square that was in front of the water gate and they told as we described to bring the book of the law of Moses which the Lord had commanded Israel now Ezra the priest brought the law before the Assembly of the men and the women and all who could hear with understanding on the first day of the seventh month then he read from it in the open square that was in front of the water gate from morning until midday before the men and women and those who could understand and the ears of all the people were attentive to the book of the law now I'm telling you that when you're obedient to God it brings his power on your right side and your left side he backs whatever you do when you're obedient he shows up is what that means Ezra was talking to a black slim people that were in captivity without direction and without wisdom they were totally void of what they should do and when he needed them to be obedient and to get back on track he stood in front of them and he read to them the Word of God and this is significant because when he read the Word of God the scripture says all who could hear had understanding in other words revelation came when they got into listening to the word revelation wind forth Rama went forth and their mind had understanding for what they should do and they were obedient now this is what I think is so awesome because obedience releases power always obedience to whatever God tells you to do will release a chain reaction and the supernatural for God's power and provisions to be seen when they did that while he was reading the word it happened with the understanding power showed up and in the middle of him reading the word if you go on and you read in this scripture it says while he was doing this seven man came and stood on his right hand and seven men came and stood on his left side now seven is the number of completion and this is in the seventh month and seven is on the right and seven is on the left in other words God's perfect completion took place as they listened and obeyed and had understanding of the word and these names of these men are very significant I'm going to tell you their names and then we're going to close on the right hand of Ezra was Mathis ayah that meant gift on the right hand with scheme' than men hearing on the right hand was an Anaya answer of the Lord on the right hand was Uriah light of the Lord on the right hand was Massie ayah refuge of the Lord so on the right hand of obedience to God's Word is gifts hearing answers light and refuge whenever you listen to what God tells you to do and it is in direct correlation to his word he will put on your right side gifts that you need in the spirit to do the work he wants to do he will release hearing and understanding he will give you answers he will give you light in the middle of your darkness and he will create a refuge for you in the middle of God says to do we're in Texas and God told us to dance we were in a ladies meeting and nobody was dancing everybody was just standing and God said dance so he said I don't feel anything say it's not about feelings barb it's about Who I am go down and dance so I said okay God we went down and danced and God started moving and all kinds of awesome things took place and we went we left the meeting and when we left we went to a church and brother Kilgore was there and he said did you know what happened last night I said no I hadn't heard about it and Steve at that time Steve was sitting on the platform and he passed me a little piece of paper before brother Kilgore said this to us and that he said he said look what God just told me read this and I read it and it says you'll never dance alone I said wow that's pretty awesome you'll never dance alone that it's kind of neat you know and he said and then brother Kilgore said do you know what happened last night in that meeting and we said no we're not aware of it he said while I was leaving the tabernacle he said and as I left there was a little old lady who was sitting in the back of the tabernacle and she looked like I thought maybe she was having a stroke or something because she was sitting there and she just was like and he went back journey says grandma are you okay he said what he said you just look like you're you know is everything all right what's what's wrong and she said can you see it can you see it brother Kilgore knee said well no honey what are you talking about she said she said you can't believe it she said I can't believe what I'm saying and he said well what is it she said when you were when brother Willoughby was preaching the word she said the whole time the message was being preached she said I saw lined up around the walls of the hole auda Bern echo at this camp meeting she says was the angels of the Lord and they were just posted one right next to each other she said I could see that in the spirit I could see the mother she said they never moved they never did a thing she said on till she said the minute they started to worship she said the minute they got down there and started dance and she said brother Kilgore they left the post on the wall and she said they flew down and they would get their arms around those groups of women that were dancing and they would dance with them wherever they went these angels of the Lord went with them and sees that God just told me I never danced alone and I said that is so awesome no wonder obedience unlocks these things you know God is going to tell somebody in here there's something they need to do I can't tell you what it is I can't tell you who's number one but I know that in God's Way of a of running a service or running something he will say somebody holds card number one someone always holds card number one and when you do what God tells you to do it unlocks a spiritual explosion I can't do that for you and I'm not even supposed to try to do it for you that's not what I came to do but if you will do what the Spirit is telling you right now out of simple obedience God will be there with you you won't do it alone you never do it alone his presence is always with you his presence will always go with you you never dance alone say I've never danced before well you know what try it try it you may like it because you never dance alone when you're with this when you dance before the Lord his presence will dance with you Lord right now we want to be obedient Lord I was obedient to what you told me to do God it is not usually what I would the type of thing I would do but Lord I did what your word told me to do and Lord right now I turn it over to you Oh God right now I pray that you just create in us O God a heart that would do whatever you sold to do Oh God all right all right
