Apostle John Eckhardt | Pastoral Release

through five we're gonna read them together second Timothy chapter four verses one through five let's read together I charge thee therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ who shall judge the quick and the dead anthe of his appearing and his kingdom preach the word be instant in season out of season reprove rebuke exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears and they shall turn away their ears from the truth and shall be turned unto fables but watch thou in all things endure afflictions do the work of an evangelist make full proof of thy ministry amen father we thank you Lord for the anointing Lord that is upon us in this hour Lord not just to preach not just to teach not just the promise our Lord also to evangelize and lord ahtur's pray for the spirit of evangelism to be stirred up in the church like never before Lord let this church move out Lord in evangelism like we've never known letting more people get saved a lot this year than we've ever had in any year of this church Lord let multitudes come into the house of God and be safe father we thank you Lord for giving us a revelation of the place of evangelism in the church today god we thank you and we bless you for it in Jesus name Amen amen you may be seated I want to pick up really where Brent Douglas left off and I believe that something was stirred during that conference concerning evangelism and I want a really Minister from verse number five of 2nd Timothy chapter 4 but I want to do it in a different way than maybe you've heard it before many of you remember that several weeks ago it may have been several months ago I preached a message on restoring order to the church as far as where the pastor belongs in the church in relation to the Apostle the prophet and the teacher I was just in Colorado Springs sharing it with another man of God from England and I began to share with him the fact that in first Corinthians chapter 12 and verse 28 that the first three gifts that are mentioned apostle prophet and teacher and that the evangelists and the pastor is not mentioned in 1st Corinthians chapter 12 and verse 28 and it's only mentioned of course the word evangelist is only mentioned twice in the New Testament is mentioned in the book of Acts is mentioned where i'm sorry three times it's mentioned in the book of Acts is mentioned in Ephesians chapter four and it's mentioned here in second Timothy chapter four the word pastor is only mentioned one time in the entire New Testament and that's in Ephesians chapter four the word apostle and the word prophet I found much more in the New Testament than evangelist and pastor it does not mean that we don't need the apostrophe and the Evangelist what I began to share with him and he began to see it so clearly and I shared it several weeks ago and it just it broke something in the mentality of the way we do Church how many remember that day I taught and preached on the fact that the pastor in the Bible is literally not the person that should be over a church now that is so shocking and I want to spend some time talking about that again because if you say that the most people they would automatically think you're a heretic you're you're crazy how can you say a pastor is not over a church well the reason why I say that is because of our tradition we have made every leader of a church we call that leader the pastor and so we made the office of the pastor as the leader over a church when in reality in the New Testament churches were started by apostles they were set up by apostles elders were attained by apostles they were things were set up apostolic ly and just as the Roman Catholics call all of their leaders priests we have put the pastor label on every leader regardless who were the they're an apostle we call them faster if their prophet we call them faster if they're an evangelist we call them faster as long as they have a church or they / a church we call them a pastor now I'm not saying that you can't call me a pastor I am NOT saying that you can't call a person a pastor I am NOT preaching against that as far as calling someone a pastor if you call me a pastor I will not rebuke you and say call me apostle I know apostles they do that even in this city you call them pastor they say they consider that to be an insult they say oh excuse me I'm on apostle I'm not caught up in the name you call me Pastor John that's fine with me I do pastor in a sense I do it out Restonic Lee so I don't get a Finn I'm not caught up in it you know I'm the apostle you must refer to me as a hustle how dare you call me pastor that's there's pride vanity people take gifts and go crazy with them just relax a people call me brother John I am brother John I have a people call me John that's my name I don't get offended I wasn't apostles not on my birth certificate now that respect we refer to leaders out of respect you know apostle the pastor you may not call me John out of respect just like you didn't call your mother father about that first name I says I grew up I call my mother about her first name my mother's name was Josephine I used to call it Joe that's unusual and she didn't bite didn't bother her but you don't my children all come to me say John you say daddy how many of you couldn't call your mother father by their first name you know that's just respect it my my son coming to my hey John what's up I'll say excuse me I am daddy to you that is mother to you but I grew up in a home we call our mother my first name we called it Joe and it was just it was just the way we did think but that is unusual out of respect you may call somebody something but let's not get in bondage in empowering and your people walking around when I'm an apostle don't dare call me pastor because I'll correct you that is the epitome of arrogance and pride let's let's let's know that there is a respect but we can't get bound by titles and so I'm not preaching against your calling the leader pastor you're the pastor Crusaders Church I'm not preaching against that I'm not being dogmatic what I am saying though is that we've used that term so much until we have locked people into callings that may not be their dominant calling so and a pastor a person again who has just called into the office of a pastor generally speaking has a desire to touch everybody the pastoring anointing is a hands-on anointing a pastor person who's called into the office of a pastor where generally have to be in touch with people they have to touch them they have to talk to them dance they have a personal relationship and that's the nature of that gift and so most listen very carefully most people who say I feel led to Pastor because their concept of pastoring is having their own church they go out and start a church and it usually doesn't grow beyond 50 or hundred people and the reason why is because that is intended to touch so many people because you can only touch so many people you can only have relationship with so many people so a lot of people say well brother car I feel called a pastor and I feel I love people and that's good I love people I want to teach I want a minister I want to touch and so I go out and start a church so you got all these churches where people who are pastoral over them but the church never grows beyond 50 or 100 people because we've now set our churches up apostolic I believe that churches need to have apostles over them and if you have thousands of people you can have many pastors in that church and they can touch people with a pastoral anointing and it doesn't mean that they are the pastor of the church the Apostle is the person who can oversee thousands of people because as I said the Apostle does not have to touch everybody because y'all know that by me don't you the Apostle doesn't have to do that that's not his gift he's able to operate in a realm where he can watch over thousands of people without having to touch them all he is not worried about not touching people he doesn't go home and say oh my god I don't know five thousand folks names he can't you can't spend time that's not his gifting but the pastor he has to touch people and so if we don't set our churches of apostolic ly where pastors are in a church and they're not the pastor of the church there are many of you sitting in this audience you have a pastor call upon your life but because you have only thought that a pastor is somebody who has a church you have not ever walked in that call but you have a desire to touch people you have a desire to reach out to people you have a desire you like counseling people I'm a giving an example ie plan on doing this here's a person out here I don't even know where he is where's brother ha phone that brother on stand up stand up brother Hong Kong has a strong pastor Carla pond is like this man always wants to touch me he always wants to touch me he'll call me on the phone and say this person is sick I want to go pray for him this person needs money we need to help him that's the pastor call but see he'll never ever in most churches walk as a pastor because in most churches the only way he master is he's got to be some ordained minister that has a church and stands in the pulpit and so he'll never ever step up and call himself a pastor because the concept of mastering is you've got to be over a church but in an Apostolic Church we're not just releasing apostles and prophets we're also releasing evangelists pastors and teachers in the house of God and in many of you like that you have pastoral calls upon your life but our whole concept of the path that we have the pastor how in the world can you have a church of 5000 people have 500 prophets in one pastor can you have more than one prophet in the church I'm going to be ridiculous if we have 5,000 folk and there's one prophet they'll be ridiculous there's 5,000 people and there's one evangelist it's even ridiculous have 5,000 people and have one apostle and it's even more ridiculous to have 5,000 people and have one pastor how can one pastor put his hands on 5,000 people we got it we got to change the whole way we've done sure and so most people who feel they say well brother cannot feel call the pastor I love people I want to touch them but see their concept is therefore I got to go out and start a church so they go out and start a church struggle financially have 50 people but they are pastoring and it's not because they're bad people it's just because they want to touch people that's their gift but they are not doing it in an apostolic Khans context we've got a raise up Apostolic churches where there are apostles and prophets and leadership in the church and there are teachers in leadership in the church and there are evangelists and pastors who go out and touches people the Evangelist goes out and touches the laws the pastor goes out and gets the lost sheep and the herding sheep one thing that touches a pastor more than anything is a backslidden a lamb when a pastor sees a a sheep going astray they want to go out and get that sheep and that's the job of the pastor and we have Pasteur's operating in churches we'd have a lens backsliders in the church how many follow what I'm trying to say I almost feel like I rehab because how many know what I'm trying to say to you we need more passes in our churches and not just people who sit up here we need people operating in the pastor there are people in this church that backslide I don't even know a thing about it I don't know everybody in this church how can i I'm in Zimbabwe if you next week what I'm in Zimbabwe you left him back slid I probably wouldn't know about it but there's a pastor in the house that would know about it and would going hit you and minister to you and bring you back see but we think we're instant is the pastor's job and see that's why I don't go to Johnny cars Church because there's so many people there that if you've actually he wouldn't even call you cuz he your concept of a church he is you got the pastor he pulls to run around all looking for lost sheep he pulls a run around put fires out and every time there's a problem he's supposed to chase after but you can't do that with four and five thousand people and if God gives us churches of twenty and thirty thousand people you can't put that on a pastor we got a we got to redefine the whole way we've done church we got to come out of tradition we got to break all this religious tradition and set our churches up apostolic that pastor has to touch the people that pastor is a shepherd at heart and then then we did we get like this because there's a pastor in the church who's touching then somebody goes to and say you know you ought to go start your own church that you get so full of love and you pass that car he don't care so why we just going start a church now I know all of y'all are Apostles the prophets but we may have some people in this audience that feel called a pastor and that's the gifting and you know I'm not saying you're you're gonna flow in that gifting but that's you you recognize that is your gifting that is your heart that is your motivation whether you're male or female I want you to stand right now don't be afraid I know I know you know I know the apostles and prophets ain't gonna stand I know some of y'all too anointed for the pastor but this is a great given to pray for these people I've ever come down here right now do you plan on doing this come down here right now we need to start releasing these anointings come on puts hands together and thank God for them he gave some apostles some prophets some evangelists some pastors and teachers
