Apartment Tour | In Depth With Where I Got EVERYTHING

hey guys what's up um welcome to my first ever youtube video my name is kristen and for the first video i wanted to do an apartment tour i had a lot of people like i posted pictures on my instagram and a lot of people were asking where i got certain things and there's just a lot so i figured that it would be good to put it all into a youtube video so it can be a lot longer and i can really explain things and maybe some tips stuff like that so thanks for tagging along and let's get into it [Music] days are long your car won't start it's hard to fix with the broken heart okay so this is the view as soon as you walk in and then to the right we have this huge storage closet which has been so so helpful um we store all of our coats in it some of our shoes we still have more in our room and then this like storage shelf is from target which is super handy as well we have like extra cleaning supplies some of my extra hair stuff um just like tools and paper towels and then we have our vacuum and swiffer but this is like so nice like it's huge like as you can see really big walk-ins so that is super helpful and then this is the entryway which i want to do something with i'm not quite sure what yet i don't think i really love that little rug anymore so probably going to get a new one um but i kind of might want to put something on the door and then maybe do something with this wall maybe do if you saw my instagram which you'll see later the decaling around that mirror um that i have i might do on this wall i don't know and then we have a cute little key holder which is from target um right there and we have masks on it and then some masks down here and like hand sanitizer and on the other side is chris's office um and so it's like a really decent size we got this apartment because it had like a nice den um and his desk is from he's playing video games but his desk is from ikea and same with this lamp which i love and the bookcase like all ikea really in here so really nice okay and then right here we have the washer and dryer which is amazing that we have that in unit it makes life so much easier um and i keep all the stuff to kind of like tide pods and all that up there and now we get into the fun stuff so here like i literally am obsessed with this kitchen that was a huge draw of this apartment because it's huge for an apartment and there is so much storage and i also loved the island because we didn't need to get like a table and chairs we just eat here so these bar stools are from target which i am obsessed with i love the back and they're very comfortable um see i really love those and then here we have a tray on the island which is from home goods these coasters are from home goods the vases from at home and the candle and the stand is from bath body works and this trim or wick trimmer is from yankee candle so i just love having like just a little something on the island it doesn't take up much room which is good because there's still a lot of counter space but kind of adds a little something and then over here this rug here is from target um from like studio mcgee and then i love love love this area so this clock was kind of like a diy you we got it off amazon it was 20 and it comes in all individual pieces and it is just such a good statement piece we literally did this the first week that we were here because we knew like this blank wall needed something um but yeah so the reviews were like i'm like super happy with it because it keeps time really well some people said it was like hard to put up or maybe it didn't keep time well but we've had it for three months now and it's kept time so well um and it was pretty easy to put up but you have to be patient obviously since it's all individual pieces you have to really measure it took us like probably an hour but it wasn't hard um and then here we have the sink which is like pretty decently sized it's pretty big and stuff like that dishwasher right here and then underneath the sink is where we keep trash and um cleaning supplies stuff like that and then here we have fruit bowl which is off amazon and same with this toaster also off amazon and i love it because i want one with like really long slots um because i like to have like sourdough or artisan bread and other toasters aren't able to you know you have to cut it in half to be able to do it so that's why i like love this toaster and it's just really aesthetically pleasing and then i have my vitamix here which i am obsessed with um it's definitely on the pricier side but chris bought it for me when they were having a sale which was so nice because i literally use it every single day um and it's definitely worth the hype it's so strong and can make like the thickest smoothie bowls you don't need a lot of liquid to blend i've made the best peanut butter of my life was just using peanuts and blending it in 60 seconds it's and i've made hummus it's incredible i like highly recommend and then up here is where we keep all of our like glassware and dishes so so cute all the dishes are from home goods and all those glasses are like all these ones are from home goods these mugs are from ikea these two are from home goods and same with these little like jars these two we just got from target so cute and these are old pasta jars so yeah and then this cabinet is kind of like nothing really it's just like not really organized it's just like kind of extra oil side note this chili onion crunch from trader just so so good if you like a little spicy it's really good and so then underneath here i love these cabinets like this one especially it's so deep like look how far back these go it's so much storage like this whole kitchen and so i have my kitchenaid which i love um it's such a good investment and i got a really good deal on it i think i paid like 150 for it which is insane because they run for like close to 400. i got it around christmas and they were already having a sale and then if you like sign up with your email for bed bath and beyond you get extra 20 off and then we had gift cards so and then cutting boards from home goods and this is such a good electric frother from amazon i'm obsessed with it definitely gets it frothier than the handheld ones and it's not that expensive and then electric can opener and a panini maker back there and then in this cabinet it's kind of like where we have our like bar stuff i was gonna do a bar cart but i've had one before and it just gets so dusty and i always feel like i have to like really clean out glasses before um i drink out of them and it's just like was easier to keep it all in this cabinet since it's like so deep everything fits um so yeah and then down here some like cocktail books my old blender in the back and mixing bowls okay and then i'm obsessed with these drawers that are next to the oven they are just so nice so like here i keep all my spices if you know me you know i love to cook and i love using spices so i keep them all in this drawer maybe one day i'll like get all the matching um like the matching jars and labels but honestly like i like these because i can really just see what it is like i i know what they look like rather than if they're all matching i'd really have to read um and then i don't really think i have much in these other drawers like this is my apron but i love that the bottom one is super deep so i keep extra um like baking things in there then the oven these like little dish towels um were just from target i think they were three dollars or maybe five but i just i don't use that as actual dish towels it's really just for show um because they're pretty thin so i use a different dish towel when i'm drying dishes and this is from my mom and it is for my birthday like two years ago and it's a kate spade tea kettle it's so cute and then underneath the oven is more like obviously storage we keep our baking sheets like that and then this utensil holder is from home goods and utensils in it and then same thing with this drawer here's all the it's kind of like oven mitts and this has like kitchenaid stuff and then down here i think is more baking stuff so yes and then microwave and just like um you know storage above the microwave we don't really have anything in there and then i love this cabinet i kind of made it like my tea health cabinet sort of thing so it's so cute you can just go in and grab whatever tea and yeah i love it and then like protein powder and stuff like that but super cute and then fridge which is sparkling today and then above the fridge storage waffle maker and like baking stuff stuff like that and then even though you thought there were you know we had enough cabinets there's even more here and then in here is where we keep all of our utensils both of these utensil holders are from target all the silver waste from target these knives i got off amazon and this is the best knife brand my brother told me um to get it and i love it they are so good and these are some glass draws i got off amazon stainless steel straws i forget where those are from i think they were a gift or something the measuring spoons and measuring cups are from target and then we just have like some other stuff in here and then underneath here is where i keep all pots and pans so it's awesome because it's super big and accessible um this i got from target i think it's the brand um cuisinart yeah however you say it um this is like the best everyday pan i love it um stainless steel then we have non-stick strainers cast iron pans and then pots and we're getting more pots my parents are moving and their new oven can't like take the pots that they have so we are going to get them and then have tons of pots then this is like kind of a drunk drawer it's a little bit messy but um ziploc bags stuff like that and then underneath here is where we have all of our glass tupperware this is like the cutest thing and got it from michael's and it's um a berry container so after you wash your berries and you keep it in the fridge and these actually have strawberries and i can show you and then some water bottles stuff like that and i'll give you a peep into our fridge might as well we're just gonna go grocery shopping after this even though it looks full actually yeah we don't need that much it'll be just like a little one but that's my homemade peanut butter and then these are like the strawberries in that but yeah and then we have this we blow through water so we keep like two water like i don't know containers full and the brita we have to refill the brita like twice a day and the freezer stocked i honestly don't even think we need anything from the grocery store just realizing that that's fun okay and then this wall here i am obsessed with um we got the mirror from target and at first we got 28 inch and i think this is 32 or 34 which is way better for this wall the other one is so small so like it just looks small on this big wall and then i knew i wanted to do some sort of detailing around it i just wasn't sure what and then at target in the dollar section sort of area they had um they had these stickers and it was five dollars for a pack of like 10 sheets and i didn't even use all 10 sheets on this and look how like i wanted to do an arch sort of thing on this wall for so long and i was looking at etsy and because i don't think we can paint and i was looking at etsy and buying like arch stickers like a hundred dollars so it's just perfect it matched a color scheme it was meant to be and i am obsessed with it so fun moving on to the bookshelf the bookshelf itself is from target um and yeah those little candles on the bottom i just got yesterday from walmart because i'm trying to incorporate more like pink or orange into this but i'm not sure if i love them yet so trying to find a place for them but um the candlestick holders are from home goods the vase is from at home this whole shelf is from home goods the bubble like jar and candle are from h m home magnolia tables the magnolia cookbook from target the little vase with flowers on both of these are from michael's the jar is from at home and the diffuser i got years ago i think from amazon but definitely want to incorporate some sort of pink or orange into it i just am struggling a little bit with that but i'm also not like i don't know those two candles from walmart were like three bucks so i didn't really care i'm kind of like i'm not gonna buy a piece unless i love it moving on to here so this rug is from home goods and i am obsessed with it it is so nice like moving to the light you can see all of the different like coloring to it we actually got a different rug at first which is now in the bedroom so that rug was out there first but it wasn't big enough um and then it like looked perfect in the bedroom with our bedding so it worked out actually perfectly and this one is just so much bigger fills the space out more and i just love the coloring so so cute okay so moving on to here the fun room so this couch is from boro and i am 100 obsessed with it we got it for a lot of reasons but it's extremely customizable so you can pick what color you want it to be obviously and then the the arms there's three different options we got the tall and narrow ones but you can they have like block arms all that and you can customize what legs you want and it is just such a good investment for like a first apartment it is definitely a pricier side of for a couch but like an apartment couch especially but each of the pieces come like as an individual so the arms come separately each piece of the couch comes separately and to assemble it you literally just snap them together at the bottom and that is it is easy as that it took us five minutes to assemble this couch it was so easy and it's just so good because since this is our first apartment we're probably gonna be moving um to a different apartment or just moving yeah so it makes it easy because when we move we just unsnap the bottom and it's all individual pieces and it's so light like anyone can carry it it's you know not super heavy whatever but i love it it's very comfortable as well and another cool feature is that it the back of the couch plugs into an outlet so down here is a usb that's attached to the couch so like if someone's sitting here needs to charge their phone they don't need to worry about their charger kind of not like being able to reach and i actually use that feature a lot more than you would think and the these cushions are reversible so if you wanted it to look like more like that style you could i personally like the more minimal look but who knows it's fun to be able to switch things up and lastly we got about the couch we got the ottoman so as you can see it's not like a lounge piece you can get a lounge piece um we just didn't because we thought an ottoman is a lot more flexible you can move it around wherever easily and then if we have people over three people can sit on the couch and you can move the ottoman like over here and hold their seat rather than one person just taking up the whole seat but they could if they wanted to so then the prints these prints are um from etsy they were a digital download and then we printed at walgreens and um the frames are from target and i'm obsessed with them i mean it's definitely the cheaper way to do it some prints are so expensive and if i had just bought these prints like i'm sure they would have been so much more expensive than um what we did so yeah that was definitely smart and over here this lamp is from target i love it gives off great light and the little blanket basket is from home goods and the blankets in it are from home goods and target there's a bunch of blankets so that like people would never be cold if they come visit there's so many blankets and then this fake plant we just got from target i actually think it looks pretty real i was very impressed with it and then over here so this orchid is from trader joe's and i love it like the yellow and pink is so beautiful this succulent is from my friend ashley she got it for us as like a housewarming gift and then i got this little planter sort of thing from um target in the dollar section and then this guy is from lowe's but yeah this is our view too it is so nice like such a beautiful day out today and then this tree actually lights up at night this is what i meant by it lights up at night so cute um but yeah it's so so nice and love that and then this couch was such a find um it's actually from wayfair and i loved it because it looks so similar to our couch like it has similar legs and i we wanted a love seat for over here um just like in a different color so this was so so perfect and if we got a love seat from the place we got our couch from it would have been a thousand dollars which was totally not in our budget and this was 270 so i mean it's pretty perfect does the job um and then this is um from target and it's actually a really light green but it doesn't really show up like that on camera and both these throw pillows are from target and same with this accent chair throw a pillow from target and the accent chairs from target as well and i love love this little guy so i love this area because it's like such a good conversation area especially since we don't have like a table of chairs this is perfect and coffee table so the coffee tables from target the slab of wood on it's from at home and same with the coasters the fake plants from target and the candles from home goods and i love this round glass coffee table if you're in an apartment or a small space i definitely recommend a glass coffee table because it just makes the space seem a lot bigger and more open because it's see-through and then the tv stand so we have the tv and sound bar which is amazing makes such a difference the tv stand is from amazon itself the fake plants on it are from target um the rest is from at home except for that clock is from home goods the battery candle is from amazon and then that is a coco chanel box from my perfume and then in this corner we have this huge glass vase with sticks in it from sticks are from michael's and the glass face is from home goods and glass vase was actually only 30 bucks you would have thought it would be more because it is actually the size of me and over here we have the end table which matches the coffee table um and on it that vase is from h m home it's so cool and the pompous grass is from michael's um and then those two little candles the pink and orange one are from target the dollar section area and then that oatmeal milk and honey candle is from my friend madison she got it off amazon though and the candle behind is from home goods which is a really good dupe for the anthropology candle um i've heard this like smells super similar and then this is my water bottle but side note i love it it's the slm i think you can get off amazon or i got it at target and it's so good i love it okay so then heading into our bedroom here we got the mom set for the bed and the nightstands and dresser from ikea and then the bed itself the sheets are from the white sheets are from charter club which i am just obsessed with they are like the best quality sheets so right now i looked them up and off macy's say like 120 but don't pay that they always have a sale like almost always and we got them for 60 which is really good for like high quality sheets then the quilt is from target and it's like velvet i love it so much the duvet cover is from target and the inserts from amazon and the throw which is so cute with the tassels and the throw pillow are from h m home and then the rug in here is from overstock which i love it like matches our room perfect and same thing with the prints got them off etsy and the frames are from walmart then our fun end table lamps and matching standing lamp are from target i love them so so much and yeah beautiful view from in here as well and then to the side so that's my little office nook but yeah also we have a kind of full-length mirror in here from at home and it's beautiful i think it's 120 dollars which for me are like that that's really good so my office nook it used to be out in the main area but i like it so much better in here it's so much more private um my desk is from target chairs from staples same thing with the prints and the frames are from target and i want to do something else i think on the wall in here kind of just separate it more from the bedroom space but i'm obsessed with it and i love it being in here and so then around the corner is our closet so yeah have some extra storage up there laundry and then more of our shoes honestly those are all my shoes um but yeah a big thing why we got the mom is because you we got the under the bed um storage which has been a game changer just because the closet's not huge so i keep a lot of my clothes underneath here and um we have the dresser too so definitely plenty of room and then lastly is our bathroom so in here this is the shower curtain it has a little texture to it as you can see i love that i kept it all very white in here because i think it feels very spa-like our shower caddy and then there's this subway tiling all throughout the shower which i love and then we added these little like wood shelving in here just to make it feel a little bit more like i said spa-like and having the white towels stuff like that trash um and then all of our towels in here so like these two the towels on that and then the towel they are all from home goods except the hand towel is from target and i love love love this robe i think it's ralph lauren um just from macy's but i love it and yeah the shelving is so cute i like the little fake green area is from target um the little jars are from amazon that candle's from target but it just feels like we usually keep both these doors open so it feels super light and just airy and spot like and then over here we have our food pantry all of the bins in here are from target and yeah just super try to keep it super organized and that is it everyone i hope you guys enjoyed um my first ever youtube video um i hope if you're looking for an apartment soon
