welcome to this tutorial today we'll show you how to visualize and animate this duplex apartment with D5 render first apply a glass material to the window wall and adjust its base color to pristine white import a cityscape backdrop and place it outside for an attractive external view choose a sunny HDR sky from d5s built-in library and lower its light intensity then switch on the custom sun and adjust the sunlight to the appropriate angle for a sunbathed atmosphere now we can move on to edit materials and light sources first apply the cloth material template to create translucent fabric curtains the opacity map controls the perforated pattern as the intensity increases the curtains become less translucent cover the floor with a light colored wood material and adjust its orientation and size for the desired effect pull up the normal map intensity to enhance the seam move on to texturing other surfaces since I have saved many materials from previous projects in the local library it's easy to complete the material editing requiring just a few tweaks to certain maps for example decrease the UV intensity of this wall cladding material for a sparer pattern increasing the normal intensity can make the slab look bumpier decrease the roughness intensity so that the slab becomes more reflective the fundamental materials covering extensive areas like the flooring and walls in the room are now in place let's shift our Focus to enhancing the lighting and refining its material details lighting strips in the kitchen serves a decorative role enhancing the Cozy atmosphere therefore adjust it to emit a warm glow and minimize its attenuation radius to ensure it doesn't interfere with the primary Lighting in the living room next let's make a small garden Under the [Music] Staircase after completing the Garden install a row of spotlights across the rooftop to serve as the primary illumination making sure to maintain a neutral color temperature for optimal lighting balance we've basically finished arranging the lights next up is the interior decoration [Music] [Music] last but not least add some post- production effects to further enhance the atmosphere that completes our tutorial thanks for watching
