seen fire above every person present in that room you know the holy spirit that unseen thing entered the promised holy spirit entered every person the fire i believe removed all fear from those 120 people of an uncertain and dangerous future and completely transformed their lives this is what we are believing for these next few days come on what a transformation 120 moved from fear to being unafraid to speak the biggest miracle that also happened that day was all the nations were united and they were united because they understood the language that was being spoken and in a moment i'm going to invite people from our church who were not born in this land of new zealand but born in other lands of the world who speak their native language and i am believing that just as what happened on that day in the second chapter of acts where all the people heard and understood what was being spoken that whether you're here today whether you're watching on the live stream you will understand in the spirit the languages that are being spoken on the stage in the next few minutes father god i just pray for a uniting of all people of all cultures of our native maori people in this land lord mouth and believe in your heart that god raised jesus from the dead you will be saved in a moment i'm just going to say now and if you're here and you've never given your life to jesus i would invite you just to come and stand up the front friend i promise you i will not embarrass you everyone will pray a prayer out loud with you to support you but what a thing to say that i gave my life to jesus christ on the night of firefall 2021 on the first night and like the bible says he that gives their lives to christ is a new creation all things have passed away and all things have become you are you lockdown a second time and we had to delay the conference but i think it was better because things have heated up in the spirit around our nation now it's another story another time but uh it is awesome to have here i want to just welcome ian and jane mccormick they're here tonight what did you stand up and uh just great great holy ghost ministries and they'll be ministering and of course very close friends of mine um wares and janet chambers very close yeah forgot their names from living waters i'd say fantastic church and of course i noticed um my dear friend uh rani kirya and asanap rani um they're gonna be doing the music is it tomorrow night or the next tomorrow night i tell you the best christian music i tell you there is not music like their music and that's why i took them to the united states with me and then i got them into fiji because they just had a whole nother level so i tell you tomorrow night it's going to be phenomenal and um and because we've got ian coming to your church on sunday morning and uh it's so good to have you here thank you thank you the name of the church is celebration church south auckland or something like that and we've got other pastors here we've got clinton deidre from brimbay uh encounter in green bay uh craig monroe is here from i think it's king of kings church and it's absolutely a great church down in south auckland and i love it i love it and of course um sake am i right pastor levy i'm sorry see look i forgot those guys and now you got you guys and it's so good to have you guys here from stand up and let's say welcome here man wow anybody else pastors of churches well amazing we're not doing an offering tonight um because i get sick of going to every conference and they're trying to get money out here um oh patricia says that's not what he's supposed to say but we will there's plenty of time for that tonight i just want us to enjoy freely god's presence and what god wants to do and we will be taking up offerings over the the next few nights but just tonight we wanted to give time for what we did at the start one of the things that's happening tomorrow is i'm going to do a meeting here at i think it's 10 30 on the three elements of a move of god how to move in the power of god and you're all invited to come um and i'm going to teach it i'm going to demonstrate it and and and just let you see it and then we've got other meetings um account you've got your brochure make sure you take that follow on uh with what we're doing uh we have got some of the best in our country and tonight one of my closest and dearest friends is going to minister and um i remember joy [Laughter] but uh apostle mike connell has preached in some of the largest churches in the world some of the greatest conferences in the world and a man that carries such a weight in the spirit i believe that honor should be given to whom honor is true i want you to stand and welcome apostle mike connell please thank you wow that's so good let's give jesus the honor tonight he's the center of our attention he's the one we honor tonight we cast our crowns our victories at your feet we give you all the honor we thank you lord we declare you lord of our nation we honor you and lift high your name tonight amen come on give someone a high five [Applause] awesome wow well just great to be great honor to be here great honor to be opening the conference too my goodness and what a great atmosphere already wow just a great presence of god and people getting touched is so just magnificent and i trust you're all really open for god to do something in you tonight amen i hope you didn't just come on a bit of a look you know it's never you know people that look don't usually get much people that come saying god me touch me that's why i want and i'm still hungry for god after all these years so glad brent that you're just starting these meetings again a fire fall and uh this is great anyways ask me to open up tonight and that's uh there's a reason for this because over the week there's a building in the spirit and so the first meeting tonight is about cleaning you up tell someone next year you need this tonight is what you need is for you [Laughter] we all need it but you know that's the thing that people don't sort of get you know we're in a spiritual warfare zone i haven't seen anyone go to war they didn't get dirty and bloodied and messed up a little bit on the way if you're engaging there's going to be some challenges and we just need to let god come around our life heal us deliver set us free amen amen why not why not praise the lord when you open the bible with uh 2 corinthians chapter 7 verse 1 i want to speak on spiritual defilement so not quite just a deliverance message it's related more to preparing us to get set free and i want you to open your heart and just let god move in your life tonight i believe at the end at the beginning this first meeting god is wanting to bring just an outpouring of father and cleansing and open you up so you can start to receive so just let god work in your life amen i'll be first up in the old come always first i like to be up in the altar call you know so he says here uh in there in verse one therefore having these promises beloved let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of flesh and spirit perfecting holiness in the fear of god and the whole context he's talking he's saying that we're the temple of god that we're got the honor and privilege of caring the presence of god uh he talks about in the in the verse preceding that he said that god wants to be our father and he wants us to be sons and daughters sons and daughters are builders of the father's house sons and daughters are representatives of the father so if you're going to represent the father clean your act up it's just if we're going to represent what god is like we need to let him work in our life to change us and make us clean and so he says he says now beloved having these promises the promises of caring revival carrying the presence of god being the temple of god walking in sonship if all that that implies he said then here's what we're responsible to do we need to get work on our lives cleanse ourselves from all and that word filthiness is the word defilement so he wouldn't say let's cleanse ourselves of defilement if defilement wasn't possible oh thought that's for someone else the word filthiness there is a word department it comes from a word meaning to stain it means also to pollute it means to contaminate that's my raises some questions then see if we're to be if we're responsible to to work and participate with the holy spirit in our lives becoming clean it's clean from some things that stain us leave a mark on us after we're exposed to it some things that contaminate us that they change what we're like they they they affect our usefulness things that pollute you don't always see pollution but if you're an air that's polluted it has an effect on you you're not healthy so he's saying let's cleanse ourselves right so to farmer that word means stain pollute contaminate by contact or exposure to so living in a world that's uh literally dominated by demonic and unclean spirits it's impossible to walk in this world without being contaminated or affected or defiled by the things that are around us we're going to identify some things shortly and so just the walking in the world that's why jesus said to the disciples you're clean but i need to clean your feet i need to clean your wall because in your walk you get in contact with stuff that changes you affects you and you may not even know it how about that it another definition of it means the state of being unclean it also means the state of being dishonored so when a person is defiled they're not carrying the honor that they should they're being treated as someone of no value now their life has been changed by that so we need to let the holy ghost into our life to help us so so i want you have a look with me in luke chapter four then luke chapter four and uh we see here is a great example and this is a man who is defiled and guess where we find him we find him in the church verse 31 he went down to capernaum in the city of galilee and was teaching them on sabbaths so as a weekend meetings and they were astonished to this teaching for his word was with authority now in the synagogue there it is in the synagogue in the gathering of believers there was a man who had an unclean demon there it is he was defiled by a demonic spirit he was contaminated we're not made to be contaminated like that we're made to host the presence of god we're designed to be a gateway through which the presence of god comes in and the kingdom of god manifests in the earth we're designed to reflect god's nature we're designed to bring his creativity we're designed to advance his kingdom but this man had been polluted this man had been contaminated this man was in a place of dishonor not in the place of honor he should be as a son or daughter of god and it says here he had an unclean demon and the demon cried out with a loud voice saying leave us alone it's not just one there's more than one what he needed was deliverance and cleansing but he's coming week after week after week to meetings and what's missing is the anointing and the presence of god which has the power to make you clean when you come into a holy ghost church where the holy spirit is welcome where the worship is free then there's a cleansing river flows things wash off you sometimes you'll be singing the songs they sang on sunday every morning when you wake up there's been something happen to you when you're in that environment where the house is full of the holy ghost you walk away and you're clean you actually feel clean because you are because there's been a river of god's presence and a lot of stuff just went we need to be in powerful holy ghost churches eh so he needed deliverance in cleansing so people wherever he went he's carrying contamination and you're meeting people like that every day so he has an unclean spirit something is present in him that's gained access to his life and he's not even aware it's there see this is the problem people can be defiled and contaminated by evil spirits and not even be aware they're there i've had people who have come to me who've been pastors unaware how deeply they've been defiled by demonic spirits i had one that had been abused when he was sexually abused when he was about the age of seven after he was prayed for and ministered to and got tremendously free came free from all of that stuff he said all the voices have stopped i said you didn't tell me there were voices but he's got all these voices in his head and they're abusing him and they're talking down to him they're voices of rejection the voice of shame the voice of abandonment the voice of being defiled the voice of being unclean all of this stuff is talking to him all the time there's like a constant noise i prayed for a girl the other day and i said how you doing now and she said well it was like i was in the cafeteria he said like i was in in a busy very busy place it was just noise all the time we prayed again and she's just like in a cafe then we prayed again she said it's all gone the noise the voices the the defiling voices that are speaking negatively about her identity and putting it down and causing her to be depressed to the point she ends up in the psychiatric unit she was defiled by demonic spirits their origin was in sexual abuse and perversion in the family backgrounds a generational thing some people are carrying defilement that comes right through their family and they've just got used to it never realized that's not me so this man is struggling this man's struggling see he's struggling because he's got this constant barrage in his mind and emotions he can't get free off and many people carry that for some it's rejection i prayed for a a a lady this week uh last week rather and i just cried afterwards i just went i just went cried and she was very old lady very white here and uh i talked to her and she shared her story if her husband had gone that she loved and gone to war come back and very embittered and damaged by the war and then to be very abusive finally she couldn't stand it anymore it left him and then she was condemned by all the family and when i just prayed for the injustice she'd suffered and the defilement of bitterness to go she's broken whipped and whipped and whipped and whapped as that stuff left her and she's she's carried it for years this is why we need to be free all this stuff see so so so exposure to demonic activity defiles us and and that can be a number of ways it can be that we're just wounded and hurt by people through life experiences when you get a cut cuts one thing but if it gets infected that's another and so after we can't go through life without experiencing some wounds and pains and things like that that that opens the door for these things to come in we can come into agreement with defiling thoughts and make room for them to come into our life see and many people are in agreement with the things that defile them or putting it another way they haven't come to the place of disagreement and resistance so you end up being condemned by these defiling things god wants to help us with that when we yield to sin it can open the door to these things so we can open the door we want to get free of all that stuff the bible says don't open the door ephesians 4 27 do not give a foothold so you want to guard your life not just from serious or gross sin but rather from being defiled by demonic spirits so that what comes out of you is a mixture a flow a river that's polluted so i want to share with you some ways or sources of spiritual defilement some sources of defilement here's a here's the first one the first one is bitterness the one that's the most common of all is bitterness it tells us hebrews 12 and verse 15 it says take here or be be careful be diligent lest any of you fall from the grace of god and a root of bitterness spring up in you and many be defile there's that word contaminated if you let bitterness develop in your life you become a source of contaminating others if you are exposed to bitter people and you don't put up some resistance their business will defile you their bitterness rubs off it it's not nothing it's a defiling activity it's a defiling presence in a person's life so spirit of bitterness will come and enter the heart of a bitter person and it'll just be coming out on their words all the time and if you're around bitter people it will defile and undermine your faith they all got so quiet about all this so we can either allow the bitterness to develop in our own heart or we're exposed to the bitterness of other either way you get affected and i found in church as many bitter people that they'll smile and raise their hands and say hallelujah but then they're dealing with people the bitterness comes out bitter envy of others advantages or being moved or promoted or whatever but envied ministries the bible describes in james 3 whenever there's bitter envy there'll be strife and confusion every kind of evil work demonic spirits are are operative around bitterness bitterness develops without us always being aware of it we get hurt and we don't do anything about it we just sometimes just carry on bury it don't even say anything hurts lead to anger lead to resentment lead to bitterness and you can become like that without even being aware of it many people are not aware they're bitter but the fruit is seen in their life no joy there's no joy look that look on the face i see it a lot around people they can think oh my goodness you have to get older it's harder to hide they get a look it's almost imprinted on the face oh my goodness wow so they're so they so they're a bitterness bitterness interesting the thing is that that the very first issue god addressed with israel when it came out of bondage in captivity was bitterness in exodus 1 14 it says that their lives were made bitter by the hard things they experienced the taskmasters of egypt the life before they were saved they were made and bit they were embittered by what they experienced so when they were saved and when they came out and they come under the holy ghost under the cloud of glory and they're saved and they've got money has been given everything like that what hasn't changed is their heart in their heart they're still victims in their heart they still think like a victim a victim blames everyone else for why they're like they are a bitter heart will blame everyone and everything and in blaming others you become totally powerless your first step is to recognize there's bitterness take ownership of it take responsibility for it and take god's remedy to deal with it which is the cross of jesus christ the people complained moses prayed god gave him revelation that the cross doesn't just fix our sins the cross can free us from bitterness and a victim mentality and bring us to a place of empowerment say in order to enter their inheritance they have to have faith in their heart you don't develop faith in your heart if it's bitter because you blame and something happens you blame god blameless blame that and people many people have gone through such terrible things and they don't realize they're not having those things happen anymore the bitterness of what they wear is that's the problem for them now so bitterness defiles us you get around bitter people they're critical they're negative they have no joy they don't see any good you share the great things of god and they throw a wet blanket over you but you understand it's defilement because it takes away your just your joyful edge so so you walk away and you came there and you're excited to know what god is doing in the life and passion of the lord you walk away in this something's changed that's the farmer you may not have picked up a demon but you were defiled by the bitterness and the spirit that went with it the words words of spirit they minister they do something to us how about that here's another one then witchcraft this is another very common one witchcraft i want to show you something in one kings chapter 19. i'm not going to minister a lot and i just want to just open it up and get you to think about this god wants us to be a prophetic people and one of the great enemies of the prophetic is the queen of heaven spirit of jezebel witchcraft witchcraft is one of the most common things you find because you're either surrendered to the holy ghost you're trying to control life it's really quite simple so so if i surrender my life my inner life and my plans and learn how to yield and flow with the holy spirit i come under increasingly his influence and his fruit is born in my life but if i seek because of fear to try and control and protect my life from being hurt i'm yielding every decision i make like that i'm yielding to another spirit it's not like you go out and say well okay i'm gonna yield that spirit now not like that it's just little by little by little your light becomes more under control and then when it comes to rejoicing there's no rejoicing in you too much control how about that right so there's elijah elijah's done grants great things and in chapter 90 verse 1 ahab told jesus about all elijah dunt how it executed all the prophets jezebel sent a messenger now notice there jezebel did not come personally it was a messenger someone else carried the message it's always people carry the message that crushes you and intimidates you it's always people carry something that can come against you people who are under the influence of that spirit they carry it and so they try to control everything that's going on and says when he saw that he became afraid now notice what's happened he's been contaminated or defiled by a controlling spirit so the man who yesterday pulled fire down from heaven the next day is doing a runner and here's what happened he abandoned the position and the spirit god had given him and then when you do that that spirit will drive you into a very bad place and this is a this is a warfare that will increase in the end times the book of revelation talks about the spirit of jezebel being very active in the end time church and those who overcome it will have authority to rule and reign with christ so therefore there is a war and there's a fight to overcome being intimidated the canceled culture is driven by that spirit to intimidate and shut people up and silence the voice of truth we're seeing it emerge in the world now these things that you're seeing emerge in the culture across the world particularly the western culture they're nothing new they're old gods emerging they're just old gods emerging again and the church is asleep and doesn't see what it is and where it's heading so there it is so witchcraft we think well i haven't seen too much well there's a whole range of ways that witchcraft can come against you remember it's a spirit power but if you yield it'll gain access and then your life becomes affected by it he became affected by it he became intimidated afraid and then it didn't stop there he left connection he isolated he left his assignment and then you find him sitting down he's no longer fighting and this is where a lot of the churches is sitting down god wants you to step up in your spirit whatever it is that put you down and held you down god wants you to overcome it step up get the spirit of warfare not be not be defiled by that thing how about that so here's a whole number of ways that it comes against it it comes through word curses people speak where people speak our words can bring life or death so words people speak that criticize you and cut you down unleash against you a spirit of intimidation and this is where a lot of people are you get in some churches and you try to move and things of the spirit you're shut down like that and you're intimidated and your gift shuts down some of you sitting here tonight your gift has been shut down by the word someone spoke sometimes those words are spoken by a pastor that's the tragedy of it and when someone who's given spiritual authority to represent our father who is an encourager and a blesser and a builder and they use that to say words that literally are cursing over people they unleash witchcraft against them and i tell you what it's not easy to get free of it sometimes it requires you come to another pastor who understands that to break the power of that word spoken over you because of the weight of authority it carries we want to do that tonight i want to pray to break those words i do a lot of that kind of stuff so there can be words spoken another area that witchcraft will operate is people praying ungodly prayers about you or for you they come into agreement to impose their will on you and you start to feel pressure uh heaviness all kinds of you know where it's all coming from but there's people been speaking or praying or doing something it's unleashed something in the spirit against you you got to recognize it stand up break the power of the words and arise not be intimidated by it that's why we have to be aware it's easy to become defiled and the evidence is your life is drained out you lose the joy there's a heaviness but when you're in kingdom authority there's a peace in your heart and a joy the holy ghost gives come on let's give the lord a clap sometimes it's done through manipulation greasy flattering words people with agendas and when you get around someone like that they defile you not always aware of it just feel disempowered and can't work out why step back and see if something's going on that you hadn't seen before ask the holy ghost to show you so when people whenever there's witchcraft all relationships are defiled you look through the bible whenever there was witchcraft the outcome was relational death every time disconnection from life and so we just need to be aware of it not not intimidated by it need to understand it and then realize i give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and all the power of the enemy you're not to live under that stuff amen glory to god here's another one sexual sin will cause defilement sexual assam will cause the farmer if you read leviticus 18 and verse 24 we've got to tell there now there's more than just the sexual sin there's a whole lot of idolatry and other kinds of things going on there but it says and notice here in verse 24 it says do not defile yourself with any of these things and he's talking about homosexuality talking about bestiality talking about all kinds of sexual perversion he said these defile you why is it people can't see you get defiled where to avoid defilement sexual sin defiles us and notice what it goes on and said don't defile yourself with these things for by all these the nations are defiled so he's talking now whole nations defiled because of the idolatry the spiritism and the sexual practices they've gone through the nation was defiled that's pretty serious and then he goes on to say even the land was defiled and it's now chucking them out so the nations were dispossessed because they were defiled that tells us a whole nation can be defiled it tells us a land can be defiled so we need to recognize that and and real realize that we've got to take spiritual action to deal with the stuff so sometimes you just encounter people who are defiled by unclean spirits and they're seductive and their language is seductive and unclean it's very easy to be drawn into that you're being defiled by it it's very easy to be drawn into unclean pictures they're just everywhere pornography so readily available but it's a gateway to defilement once anyone starts that gateway and opens it up you are on the way to department i've seen people defiled immediately they have the first look we have to recognize these are the ways that these the the culture around us having abandoned god now there's an avalanche of defilement taking place and if you're not aware of it and keep yourself clean and keep yourself a temple unto the lord and have a vision and a destiny to be a carrier revival you just give way to it and they're all getting quiet i don't even get very good do you think about it so i'll show you another one here's another one go down to luke chapter 24. luke chapter 24 and this is the disciples and uh another thing that can defile us and uh cause us to have a deep effect on our life is a a trauma or wound experiences in life where we're wounded if we don't address them they become doors for defilement and so there's a whole lot of things deep rejection opens a wound that cause you to be defiled i've got many people that we've they've struggled in their walk with god because the wound of rejection has never been addressed they're literally it's been an open window for defilement in their life for some it's abandonment for some it's physical or verbal or sexual abuse and they're defiled and all their relationships become defiled it's like god wants to clean us up he wants us to have great relationships that's why jesus came to heal the broken heart so luke chapter 24. if you ever look at these disciples now around about verse 13 two of them were traveling the same day to a village called emmaus which was seven miles for jerusalem and they were talking together about the things that had happened and while they conversed and reasoned jesus himself drew near and went with them now here it is and recognize him how do you not recognize someone you live with for three years it says it says their eyes were restrained their ability to perceive spiritually who he was was withheld and he said what kind of conversations this you have with one another as you walk and you are sad so here's the thing we can be defiled by disappointment disappointment if you don't address it quickly can open a door for you to become defiled and now your life is affected by that you hold back and don't passionately pursue god in this case they were defiled not just by disappointment but also by betrayal imagine you've given up your life your career your family to follow someone called jesus you're on a roll everywhere you go there's hundreds and hundreds of people out there's miracles galore this is the greatest thing ever this is it the messiah is here this is really it we're on a move and then suddenly the guy you've been sleeping next to the guy you've been ministering with and talking with and eating meals with has now betrayed jesus and wiped you all out they're really angry they're really betrayed betrayal can cause a wound that stops you ever getting up again the feeling of being betrayed betrayed by someone you trusted deeply a spouse or someone in ministry and you trust them someone in business you see if we don't address those areas then demonic spirits just enter the womb they become defiled and now we're living a different life it's not because of something we did it's something we didn't do we didn't ask to be betrayed it happened to us but we didn't respond and we got defiled by it we didn't ask to be rejected but it happened anyway and instead of responding we got to file by it yes and this happens everywhere rather than saying well god help me to grow through this jesus you want me to become like you you were betrayed help me now to grow through this betrayal and become like you in my capacity to love people and carry your presence it'll get so quiet so think about it and think about this how we get the fire and then not only is it what's done to us it's the way we respond and react we become embittered by it and next thing you know we've got walls up and we're not the same person we used to be i've had to battle and fight in my walk in order to stay free in my spirit and pure in heart not affected at a lasting level by things people have said and done you actually have to take responsibilities as your life let us cleanse ourself from every filthiness of flesh and spirit your spirit is affected it flows through your soul if your soul's got this junk in it it comes out poverty meanness bitterness anger resentment all those kind of things see you see we can be defiled by those things here i'll give you a couple more things we can be defiled by we can be defiled by the spirit of unbelief we can be defiled by the spirit of unbelief so you read in matthew in mark chapter six and verses one through to six jesus passed through copenhagen went through his own hometown and of course it says there they all said that it says well in this jesus even the carpenter wanted me and and with his bro his mother's here and his sisters are here and whatever and and uh where's all this stuff come from and it says they were offended at him and jesus said a prophet is without honor in his own town or country and then it says he marveled at their unbelief he was astonished at the atmosphere of unbelief and even he could not do any mighty work so mighty works are hindered by a culture and environment of familiarity and unbelief where respect for god and honor for god is removed from the house where things are tolerated that should be confronted where disrespect comes for god an environment of unbelief takes place and in that environment of unbelief it says jesus himself couldn't do any mighty work it says in another place he took the guy out of town to do the miracle in another place he got the people out of the room to do the miracle so what so that tells us he recognized atmospheres can shut down the move of god we build the atmosphere god moves so what atmosphere are you building in your life through your confession through your prayer through your praise what are you literally building around your life when we gather together what is built see we come here tonight i have to wait to warm up it's all hot here very hot yeah you're gonna get hotter too okay i'll just i'll give you one more and uh how many finding this helpful this one it does it affects you it affects you i ca i can feel it i remember i remember i took a friend to i took a friend to fiji and he wanted to come and learn how to move in the spirit so we did a week in a bible school did all the deliverance training and i need to have two meetings where i can actually get the team to go out and practice doing the deliverance and so anyway they had a church they said we come to this church got a night meeting so we went to the church and the moment i walked in that church i felt this religious spirit sitting over the whole thing i looked at the layout and i thought oh no they had men on one side women on the other side that was one thing oh that's that's different and then they had this huge gap and then that little stage and then that little wee fence then they had a thatch thing and the pastor's in behind that with a worship dream i think oh my god is he in the same room he's not even in the same room you know they're in another place and i thought this is horrendous and you know i tried i tried everything i could we could not break through there was nothing even trying to prophesy dear god about the best i could get out as jesus loves you that was about that was about it i thought this is so bad i my ears i cannot hear anything this is just horrible and it gets worse no no it gets worse and then it gets better see so when something like that happens because you're a carrier of revival you are deeply rejected by that spirit so when i went back i felt so rejected and low i said do you think we could just catch a plane out of here and just pretend we were never here it was just horrendous but there's no way we're catching a plane anywhere and i said the guy with me i said you know what i said it's just a religious spirit we're gonna have to fight this thing so we got up and we stood in prayer for about an hour in prayer against the religious spirit to cream the authority of christ over declaring it's about broken and i thought you know tomorrow i want to get with the bible school i'm just going to talk to them about religious spirits so anyway we get up and said hey listen guys instead of teaching the first session let's have a chance to ask some question and the first guy put his hands up and i said what is it he said can you tell us about a religious spirit i said oh can i i said you guys just encountered it and shut you down because all the team that i have with me the moment they walked in and felt that spirit they just sat down like this they were just emasculated spiritually emasculated like that they were defiled by the atmosphere all faith went out of them everything went instead now i'm on my own even the guy with me said i can't do anything now what to do he was confused in his head anyway so i started to talk to them about i said what you saw last night the way it's laid out the way it's ordered everything i said there's a religious spirit a religious spirit will be your main enemy in church planting and evangelism you will have to recognize it and stand up to it and endure the opposition that comes and as i began to speak a whirlwind started up inside the room now we're in a little we're in a hut on on the side of a hill there's open windows and and as i'm talking i hear the wind i can hear the wind and the wind is so strong it's going to blow everything i have to grab my bible like this while i'm talking because the pages are going like this and everyone's looking around what's going on i thought my initial thought was oh it's just the wind sort of got up out there we've got no block no curt no windows or anything and then i rest oh it's a religious spirit bump it just vanished like that and and then it didn't stop there no no it gets better it gets better the next thing i hear now you ever been in in a storm when when there's loose roofing iron and the storm catches it and he goes and we heard that crash i thought well there's a bit of roofing on's gone and crash and it just kept going on and on i thought well was something going on outside so after we finished the mess we went down and we went down and there's a like the side of a hill and there's a number of huts and one hut it's got the whole roof off it everything is gone and everything's like it's been inside a washing machine everything's scattered to the sides like the whirlwind was in the room and it's the church planting and evangelism hut how about that and they listen they came in they knelt down oh forgive us for not making you welcome holy spirit they really were quite frightened they were they were terrified of it and then we and we went to the meeting that night and talked about chalk and jesus man the moment i stood the power of god started to come people that were rolling there they were laughing they were healed they were delivered every kind of thing happened that night it was an amazing move of god see but notice here the key thing is a spirit of unbelief a religious spirit can defile you you become religious under its influence that means you're focused on what's external rather than what's internal the life of the spirit see you become legalistic under another spirit see how about that well that's there you go so anyway we sorted that one out so spread of unbelief you can feel it upon people it actually stops them receiving i remember i remember a guy come to me and uh he said uh the father said can you pray for this guy i thought i want to be the meeting and then he said he's come four hours just to get prayer i thought okay i'll pray and so he came and i thought four hours he's really hungry and hunger god loves hunger so anyway he came and i said what do you want you want to get filled with the holy ghost i mean pray for lots of people never get filled with the holy ghost i'm thinking okay well i'll share with you how to but there's a block you want it god wants it uh you have it and you're you're blocked so what's the block and i asked a few questions i said listen did you were you ever part of and i named a church movement which was very fundamentalist movement he said yeah did they teach against the holy ghost yes they teach against speaking in tongues yes i said then you have come under a spirit of unbelief and an antichrist spirit you've come unto false doctrine and the false doctrine has stopped you receiving what god has for you and so i said here's what we'll do i lead you in a simple prayer here's the first prayer first prayers get rid of the spirit of the behind the false doctrine so i got him to just confess christ is his lord saved and redeemed by the blood of jesus and then renounce the false doctrine teaching against tongues and the holy ghost i just prayed and broken off his life there's no big deal and then i showed him how to receive the holy ghost next thing he's filled just filled and he didn't just get filled everywhere he went he was like a fireball he i met his dad a year later he said oh my i just got to give you a hug and thank you he's transformed he's transformed he said he has won so many people to the lord he's literally a fireball wherever he goes but you should notice this it was false darkness this is the last one that you get to file by the last one have a look here in one timothy chapter four verse one time one timothy chapter four and verse one and uh let me show you a couple of things that i want to give you a couple of verses and just show you something else i'm not going to go into it might just want to put it out there in front of you and verse chapter four verse one now the spirit expressly speaks in the latter times are we in the latter times in the latter times then some will depart from the faith so where were they beginning they were in faith they were believers have you noticed recently online how many people have been renouncing their faith it says he gives the reason he says they will depart from faith because here's the why they are listening giving heed and responding to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons in other words there's error in the doctrine they have and behind it a deceiving spirit and the outcome is they're quitting on christ in other words false doctrine can defile you and undermine your faith and take you out of the race how about that two timothy chapter four we'll just give you one more then we'll just get the end of this now we won't have a chance to pray that person next to you needs help you know that don't you i mean you you just know that i have it okay 2 timothy chapter 4 and a verse 2 he says preach the word preach the word praise what the bible says hey i said be iridium seize now season convince rebuke exhort well it's hard to rebuke and exhort people these days they all get reactionary the time will come oh the time has arrived when they will not endure sound doctrine but according to their own desires because they have itching ears they will heap up for themselves teachers that will turn their ears away from truth they'll be turned to fables but you be watchful in all things now notice there it talks there we saw one verse in the last days one of the things that will happen will be teachings presented in the church which are doctrines of demons think about that and the consequence will be to erode people's faith in jesus christ the work on the cross and the power of the holy ghost he says there and not only that he says people won't want to listen to good teaching in fact actually i could go other places and show they will actually turn against good teaching and try to cancel it as being hate speech that's the time we're in right now that's the time we're in right now if you were to look in the old testament at uh some of the uh the times of decline one of the first times of decline in israel when they declined and the nation fell away was under the leadership of jeroboam now get this now jeroboam didn't turn people away from the lord he just created a new lord for them he said oh it's too hard for you guys there's too much effort to go there but we don't want to have hard religion it's so difficult and easy convenient for people and so instead of going all that way over to jerusalem going all that way here listen i've made something here i made one in bethel and one and dan and you can just come and worship the lord or putting it another way we're going to preach a gospel that's really simple and doesn't require anything from you no repentance no cross no blood no power of the holy ghost it'll all just be about grace god loves you and god accepts you and god's wonderful and he's loving no judgment no see you understand these are things that are emerging in the earth today and they are doctrines of demons you see you'll find that when people embrace those teachings they never do deliverance never they don't believe in it they believe all it's all done for you therefore you don't need to discipline your life jesus made you accepted he's made you perfect you're all in the state now where god loves you and everything's wonderful you can just do what you like and live like you like because you're under grace listen grace is given to us to empower us to become the person christ wants us to be to empower us to overcome not just to do whatever you want so think about that so so that's another jesus the bible warns us about it's a different jesus so what jesus are you receiving because paul warned you can receive another gospel another jesus another spirit the jesus we know came as a lamb and will return as a lion he came to offer grace but that same grace there was judgment on sin you see you can't short change the gospel without changing who jesus is and that will put you into a place of defilement that's why notice under jeroboam he just wanted to make it easy he wanted to make it seeker sensitive no requirement of holiness of sacrifice and this is the challenge the church faces now is to become a people ready for the coming of the lord to let the spirit of god show up these places of defamate and we turn from them how do we get sorted without the farmer you got to see it first of all and say god i got stuff hanging around i want to get rid of this stuff i need to be in a holy ghost church i need to be a place where the word of god has spoken i need to be under apostolic ministry that speaking and governing and directing my life i need to let apostolic ministry equip me for the worker ministry not entertain me week after week i need to let apostolic ministry mature me by speaking into my life and correcting the short things you see i need to open up and let christ be lord of my life i need to let him have that first place again i need to build again the altar of the lord which is broken down and make my life a living sacrifice it starts by saying god i see there's stuff around me i want to be free i need to repent any place i participated agreed with it father i bring it to the cross i bring it to the cross now i repent i break my agreement with that thing i forgive those who hurt me now i command that department to go in jesus name every defiling spirit go i belong to jesus christ listen tonight god wants to set you free you're being defiled and hurt and broken whatever in church or you've got stuff you've been carrying around for years come on don't spend three or four days at the conference with all that junk tonight is your night to cry freedom tonight is your night to reach out to the lord for his fire to come it says elijah repaired the altar of the lord and fire came and i believe tonight god wants to bring some fire cleansing fire deliverance fire he wants to put fire on top of you and all you've got to do is repair the altar of the lord your heart is the altar come in repentance humility hunger for him and let go of the things that have defiled you break your agreement with them and say god deliver me i want fire from heaven on my life tonight not tomorrow the third night the wait till the last night no tonight fire on this altar come on let's give the lord a clap get the musicians up we're going to have a time of deliverance of time a breaking yolks and breaking bondages a time of getting free if you're watching online you want to get ready to you really get ready to respond god's fire that's in here going to come and touch you as well amen if we get the musicians up not magicians musicians man i love it we need to get some and this is what i want you to do if you if you're warning tonight you say god there's an area in my life to fire maybe it's hurt that's rejection maybe it's bitterness maybe it's things people are sad maybe it's curses spoken over you by people by parents by people in authority maybe it's words spoken by leaders and i know we're not going to judge them or why they said i did what they did we just need to get free of the clutter hey we're not we're not into judging people we're into just putting things right with god and so tonight we want to do that if you're struggling with unclean stuff then why don't you come and i said god i'm going to put it away when i go home i get rid of all that stuff clear out that computer clear out the stuff i've got at home if there's things that are defiling you things that you say my god i see tonight there's a defilement in my life of uncleanness i want to be free tonight then you come up and do business with god build the altar in your heart i believe god wants to touch us tonight this is how we're going to do it we're going to worship the lord together because in that atmosphere of worship fire comes this is what i want you to come to the front and then do your own business with god build an altar talk to him about what the issue is repent of it confess it forgive the people if they've hurt you break your agreement with the thing and cry out for him for freedom then after that i will lead you in a corporate prayer at the end of the corporate prayer we're going to shout to god we're going to lift a voice of freedom this first night and then the ministry team going to come in their hands fire will be all over you it'll be great you get delivered you'll get delivered that stuff that's been bugging you will go and you think where is it huh i can't find it anymore it's not in my head anymore man it's wonderful when that happens
