my name is Rachel I'm addicted to knickknacks [Music] so yesterday me and Nick went to a new antique spot that we haven't been before which when you were an actual granny on the inside is very exciting so this place was huge it had two floors and just endless rooms so I figured it would be fun to do an antique hall since I haven't done one of those in two years now I figured I would show you guys what I got each item it would be nice cozy fun while we were there [Applause] [Music] [Music] thank me up along with you me darling doing let it go it's not a whole lot but your girls are cheapskate as you probably know as much as I love antique shopping my problem kind of lies with the fact that I always end up buying just knickknacks because with a lot of antique stores that's the only thing that I can afford so I did try to avoid some of the knick-knack buying I'm mildly succeeded let's get started I pulled something in my butt so first up yes she took the price tag off ah it's mercury I don't think so so this Lantern was $25 I have been looking for a lantern like this for a very long time now and I wonder if it would still work I probably shouldn't try I actually really love the patina of this and how it is sort of rusted so this one is a Dietz debts Dease so this is a deets Lantern and on the back I actually didn't notice this when I was buying it but it does say the date and it says three 1014 which is pretty darn cool so this is from 1914 so as some of you may have heard in a previous video for my sunroom my grand plans are to turn it kind of into a Swiss Family Robinson treehouse room so I already have my old sofa in there that is my baby this baby is gonna go in there next up is this tray this was $14 I'm not sure if this is actually as old as it looks it's kind of hard to tell sometimes I'm not gonna try to pronounce that because I know I'm gonna be wrong but I think this is a brand of wine French wine but it says 1911 on it I don't think this is a 1911 you can kind of tell it has that like fake patina on it kind of like anything in HomeGoods but I thought it was cute anyways so my grand plans for the kitchen and no kitchen and dining room area is to turn it into a sort of French bistro type room yes every room in my house is planned to have a different theme welcome for the Maxie household it is basically a museum but I figured this would go really well on my dining room table kind of give it that cafe type look I don't know I just thought it was pretty food break [Applause] so next up I know we just met but so this is a Kodak camera says the pocket Kodak number 1 series 2 made from 1922 to 1931 the chap that this had said that it was 1918 to 1920 so I'm not too sure either way it's beautiful I'm not too picky about what year it was manufactured in but this was $22.40 I'm assuming it doesn't work but that's ok the fact that this little baby used to be someone's is really really cool to me and now I will treasure it forever mama's got you all right so speaking of antique cameras these next two are actually Nicks purchases so there's this cute little guy and he comes with this cute case and she is not coming out oh I see I'm sure some of you are like we just stop stop but it's all right we're good ok so this is an Argo flex 75 how many rachels does it take to figure out how to open this aha so Nick mainly like this because obviously it looks really nice and also the lens itself so that was main reason that he got this because he's been looking for one with a nice clear ones for a while and sometimes they're a little foggy and a little dusty and dirty 12 dollars the final version of the 75 amp was in production until 1964 but they started in 1949 because of the great quality of this I'm assuming it was closer to that 1960s date the next thing that Nick picked up is a light saber or is it so this is an old camera flash it was $8.00 personally it reminds me of that little dinosaur from Jurassic Park and it also looks like a lightsaber which makes sense because Nick educated me that Luke's lightsaber in the first film was partly made out of an old camouflage so next up is this beautiful little lady so if you're anything like me you cannot see this at an antique store without going and touching it don't touch come on just makes such a nice noise I [Music] figured I could just kind of tuck her in the background of one of my knick-knack shelves and she would fit right in it will go into the smaller items some of which are knickknacks I can't be stopped I'm a mobster so first up is an Edison phonograph record I see these at antique shops all the time and I never end up buying them mainly because we don't have an Edison phonograph player but I just thought it was beautiful it is I would like to get more of these just so they can kind of be stacked on top of each other and have a little collection of sorts and then maybe someday I'll get my hands on one of the players so I can listen to them next up is an old photograph so this is from 1911 and I just thought that she was a badass she's got her little riding outfit in her whip and you can tell that she was feeling herself in this photo I do want to get more vintage photographs I think I said this in a video before but I just think it's important to give old photographs a new home next app I found in a big old box of older jewelry and I had to dig a little bit for it but it is this old watch not actually sure if it will fit my big ol wrists probably not no it actually might on the first notch it will fit yeah I just liked the look of it I really like watches that are simple like this it doesn't need to work its fashion so I think we're down to the last two items these hats oops and they've already got frontal hair all over them so these were 2 for 15 first up is this Navy one just kind of just sits on the back of your head I just really loved it and I have a lot of Navy items that I don't have enough accessories for so I figured this would be and then last but not least is this black hat which has tiny little veil material it's like a mesh I just thought that was really cute I started the video up here and now I'm just it happens so yeah that's it we are finally buying this house very soon hopefully and we can start doing some of the more major renovations that we want to do and then a house tour will come and hopefully I can get more antiques so my house can be even more like a museum I should set up like proximity sensors so that when people go to touch my knickknacks it just wears an alarm but yeah that's it I hope that you guys are having a cosy day and I love you guys with your new or old to this channel and I will see you in the next video ie so yesterday I don't know if I'll end up cleaning it I kind of like how dusty it is are we surprised no that's embarrassing I probably shouldn't put that in but do you you are a good boy do you are the best boy in the whole world you woke me up by scratching the bed this morning that's fresh I love you [Music]
