I've heard this so many times that you have to Nepal. From a plane only. And today I understood why people say that. While admiring such breath taking views, I landed in Kathmandu. A city of chaotic peacefulness. We had previously planned to go to the Tilicho lake. But now we're going to Annapurna base camp and Machhapuchhare base camp. I've landed in Nepal. And as you might know that immigration isn't needed if you're coming by road. But since I took a flight Visa is needed. You need to carry your passport if you're coming by air. Because Visa is needed. Now I'm in Kathmandu and on my way to Thamel. Where I have to take permits to go to Annapurna Base Camp. So I have to take 2 permits and withdraw some cash and buy sim cards. So when you'll come here, keep your first day free to do all these tasks. But I didn't even have one day free. So I had to go to the Nepal Tourism Board to get permits for myself. Got the permits, withdrew cash, got a sim card and off I was to Pokhara. From where the treks mainly start includin Annapurna base camp trek. At midnight I crossed Nayapul and reached Ghandruk from where our trek to Annapurna base camp will start tommorrow. Ghandruk is so gorgeous that it cannot be described in words. Hello. From Annapurna Sanctuary, we're right in the middle of the conservative area. And this is the largest conservative area in Nepal. We're here to do the ABC trek, without a guide, without a porter. This is the bag that we're carrying. We'll try to complete this trek without any help from any trekking organisation. From Ghandruk we're going to Chhomrong. So let's see how this day unfolds. To stay in such a scenic place, we had just paid 600 rs. And we were thinking about how beautiful would be the Annapurna Base Camp. We picked up our luggage and started moving slowly towards our destination. After one and half hours we've taken a pit stop here. We're not yet able to see the Annapuran range. But despite that the view is still beautiful. We've walked for about 1.5 hours so probably we're somewhere around this area. Which is Ghurjung. I'm not sure but we're probably somewhere around here. And we have go to atleast till Chhomrung. The maximum altitude we're going to gain is 4200 mt. And since we're going to be gaining around 4200 mt, there's a high possibility that we may get AMS, which is acute mountain sickness. You get all this from the Nepal Tourism Board, wherever you're going to get permits. So you should really get them, it's very helpful. AMS has symptoms like headache, vomitting, nausea, dizziness. So you should be drinking a lot of water. You can add some salts, ORS. Okay, let's go. One of the checkpoints that we've reached right now is Komrong Danda. There are many lodges and tea houses here. You can stay here if you don't want to stay in Ghandruk. to come all the way here. Here's some information about places where you can stay with contact numbers. So you can easily make a call. The network is still available. I have Ncell network. Which is still working. And the internet too is working. The good thing about going down is it's easy and you won't get tired. But the problem is you can accidentally lose your balance, so you have to concentrate. And pressure is also applied on your knees. It took us 1 hour to come down. Good thing is that we aren't tired. But our legs are paining so much. But it's okay. We found a river and we're getting water here. And usually it's recommended to carry filters. But we don't have any. Usually the water here is very clean. Do you talk? What's your name? Uncle didn't told us his name, but he told us about a lunch spot a bit ahead. And we were so surprised with the lunch we were served. This right here is called Dal Bhaat which is a speciality of Annapurna. And it is a very healthy and filling dish. I strongly recommend Daal Bhaat. It was for 550 rs. The quantity is very much. So you can take the left with you in a tiffin box. And you can have it in the way or for dinner. We're now climbing up on stairs. It's so hot and we're so tired. We've wore sweaters which we shouldn't have wore. Vartika, So what do you want to say? I want to get to Chhomrung, eat and sleep. What do you think of the trek. It's difficult because we're not physically fit. You can see from my face that we're very tired. Especially because of our bags. The clim is steep so we're having difficulty while climbing with bags. Still 2 hours away from Chhomrung. After seeing this rooftop you will know that your ascent is now over. And now again you have to go downhill. So it's a blue coloured building. So it's just 40 minutes trek from here and then there's plain ground. I'm so relieved to hear this. So guys we've made it. We're in the lodge. The name of this lodge is The Excellent View, which you'll find at the beginning. And the view from here is really excellent. It has gotten dark now, so I can't show it now. But I'll show you the sunrise for sure. There's Vartika. It was so difficult for us in the middle that I thought we'd crash or die or something like that. I really wanted to give up to be honest. But we managed. I thought I couldn't do it and I should go back. I think for the first half I was pushing you. And in the second half of it you were pushing me. Like this we just managed somehow. And I don't want a porter anymore but I do want to offload my stuff because it is so heavy and the belts are not working. But we made it. You can see my hair and you can guess how messed up an tired we are. By the way for your information you'll have to pay extra to get WiFi, charging point and hot water with addition to the room charges. And the more up you go it will start to get more. So this is the bag that I'll be carrying right now. And we're leaving these bags here. Which has our things. It is so heavy. I think it's around 12 kgs. Yes because we've offloaded more than half of our stuff each. In the way we're just carrying ourselves. And like this our journey till Gandhruk ended. From now on we will trek towards Annapurna Base Camp. These next days are very challenging but very fun. We've offloaded our bags. And we're well prepared for our new adventure. See you in the next video. Thank you.
