Animatronic Band and Scary Dark Ride at Gillian's Wonderland! Ocean City, NJ

hey you all carpetbagger here coming to you live from the north more specifically ocean city new jersey right here on the ocean but even more specifically than that i'm in front of jillian's wonderland this is a classic boardwalk amusement park here in new jersey a very old-time feel here and i'm very excited to see what lies within this castle so please follow me [Music] look at this amazing facade here let's see the rotating letters is spell out wonderland look here that big purple dragon interacting with that character right there some fairy tale characters on the side of the building there's humpty dumpty we got jack and the beanstalk how does anyone remember this story where the lion had a thorn in its paw and the mouse helped him is this alice in wonderland the happy flower and an angry flower [Music] look at that cow we see the cow jumping over the moon the cat in the fiddle dog laughing and the dish ran away with the spoon i don't think i read that correctly here we have these answer from morphic food items this here reminds me of an early version of fry lock from aqua teen hunger force a pretzel hickory dickory dock the cat was asleep under the clock and look at this i have a dark ride a haunted dark ride and their dark ride is called dark ride looking up here in the windows of dark ride you see different spooky characters the spooky skeleton there something moving around right there so without further ado let's head in to dark ride all right our chariot awaits that spooky skeleton there all right first ride through of dark ride oh look at the colors look at that oh my gosh i love the bright colors what's that guy doing oh so cool these portraits here oh look at these spooky ghosts oh that's a loud bang oh my gosh is that the headless horseman oh look at that creature a giant rat right there oh what is even going on in this scene look at that creepy doll right there oh out of the closet oh look at this spooky skeleton playing that organ ah oh it's got a head severed head into the dungeon look at this guy look at that who are you i love how everything is so bright and colorful in here it's a real oh spider spider oh into the seventh oh jump scare to the cemetery by the grim reaper oh there's ghosts on both sides with the the vultures and the zombies and oh oh oh oh oh oh oh i knew you were going to jump out oh yes the best oh clowns some evil clowns oh so good i loved that so cool i don't know anything about the history of this particular dark ride but loved it was very unique had the the really bright colors i loved the everything was fluorescent and it was a lot a lot of props well done well done but i can't just ride it once let's head back on to dark ride all right second ride through of dark ride get maybe a closer look at some of the things at the dinner there's a pig pig head jump scare lady the guy on the floor there creepy lamp creepy glock creepy organ pictures all right the ghost hanging right there oh gunshot that one lunges at me it's a stack of boxes this kind of reminds me of a bill tracy ride that creature the rat leans forward and then this insane i think this is the reference to the scary movie actually oh almost almost forgot he was gonna jump scare us and then the oregon the skeleton something's gonna jump out of that closet and so does this big weird fish right here all right torture dungeon spooky head look at all the weird things going on this one this ride is so weird i think that's one of the things i love about it so much weirdness going on in here then the grim reaper jump scare there check out some of these uh jillian oh these are jillian themed headstones that skeleton's pointing something happens there this guy jumps that lady points and then we're in the clown room the clown room for one last jump scare the clown's gonna drop down and yes he's gonna scare us awesome the bumper cars here let's see that cop telling you no head-on collisions bumper cars are meant to bump but they're not meant for head-on collisions some sort of crazy motorcycle ride and i just noticed the motorcycle is actually themed after different properties this is the simpsons motorcycle and they have shrek what's this one okay spider-man and power rangers there those look like those controversial crows from dumbo it's a friendly rabbit couple bursting from the ground now it looks like their log flume is down for the evening it looks like it actually does have some theming on it you can see a native american woman there riding a horse some gophers there at the host's feet see the characters there in the boat it's a little pirate guy okay hold on this actually looks like it would be a really cool ride got the uh got some like gnomes or elves mining that got to be dwarves maybe or the wise bring a gap shirt this guy here says hold on to your hats what does that say what do they say they're at a disneyland you best be removing them oh yeah it's like a cave of a little people oh my gosh this looks amazing i didn't even even know about this that guy right there oh that one says quite a large and beautiful ferris wheel as well got a teddy bear tilt-a-whirl there not too intense teddy bears travel at a at a slower more manageable velocity than a traditional tilt-a-whirl [Music] there's the glass house it's like a mirror maze but instead of being mirrors all the walls are see-through i guess the number one rule of glass house throw no stones you can just imagine just imagine the amount of windex that goes into maintaining a ride like this little fun house here called raiders you can see an indiana jones s character there kicking a nazi in the face here comes who the heck are those guys up to the top of that building a strange strange little characters superman right there gotta head upstairs to ride the frontier express see that train going by some gravestones there as we head up to the top [Music] and see how the train kind of travels around the perimeter of the building oh i think that's the train captain right there but before we hop on the frontier express look what we have here there's an animatronic show this looks like maybe a uh a chuck e cheese band with a makeover we've got uh a dalmatian here playing the banjo it's uh old man with a top hat it's a panda and i don't know some sort of panther maybe but look at this for a show it's only a dollar so let's see what our dollar will get us here oh there it goes panda is singing guy here looks like he's some sort of crane captain i think apparently the name of the man here is man and dog i guess that is man right there and that would make this dog the names of the characters man and dog henry had a hat pin from rocky and bubba hey there how you doing boys and uh lady say howdy to the folks [Music] is lovely all these great rounds here come on back to sales oh almost forgot time to hop aboard the train says there were 1 163 miles from fort lauderdale florida thank you all right headed out on the train interesting ride this this elevated train takes you above the entire jillian's wonderland park see all the different little kiddie rides down there [Music] on this side we maybe get a little little tiny peak of the atlantic ocean old school carousel we're rounding this corner here got some interesting murals the castle a pegasus um a bear superhero the corner got a very very happy sun here we're heading outside into the exterior section of the amusement park yeah really cool little ride here that's gonna just take you around the park and kind of get a bird's eye view of all the attractions [Music] rounding the bend oh you can see the big carousel up there and then you can see dark ride looks like the carousel is actually on top of dark ride it's a effective use of uh space but let's take a opportunity to peer in the creepy windows of dark ride looks like we're headed back into the station here momentarily back into the interior section of jillian's wonderland [Music] the frontier express foreign next to wonderland they have tea time golf which looks like it has some wonderful old-school mini golf features see the very first hole is this really cool rotating octopus looks like it's tentacles block the ball down there at the bottom and as you follow the yellow brick road through the golf course you can see lucy the elephant lucy herself the real lucy is a giant elephant statue that uh is not too far from here probably about uh 20 minutes from where we're at right now it's a moving clock there very interesting little rabbit character i don't know i almost think he looks like the uh the rabbit from the sex ed video in the simpsons there's a german fighter plane what was it there was a certain time in american history where people were fixated with world war one german fighter pilots you can see the miniature river boat there [Music] a giraffe munching on that tree some cartoon characters here along the wall it's that droopy dog that's mickey mouse with except he's a rabbit oh look there there's the cancelled pepe le pew [Music] this wonderful half windmill half clown creature yeah we have a british castle guard peeking out from the gate some more guards poking their head up there i don't recognize all these classic cartoon characters if you know who these are leave them uh comment in the comment section that one's that one's porky pig i know that one i got a brontosaurus see moves his head back and forth [Music] look at that fred and barney driving their little is that the flintstones mobile what is the car called into the alligator mouth you can see him chomping classic this one's interesting it's almost like a pinball machine actually it is a pinball machine it says pinball wizard right there so let's knock our ball here in to the pinball machine oh here it comes there it goes where'd it go oh look at that clown sticking his tongue out that's crazy and would you believe that is my first ever hole-in-one in mini-golf we have a dynamite shack you can see there's actually pieces of dynamite in there see if we can get our ball into the dynamite shack oh no no no oh okay oh but it didn't go in that hole you see this kid here in the dynamite shack mixing some dangerous explosives actually says don't do this kids don't make your own don't make your own uh fireworks at home okay so this ball must be knocked into a hippopotamus's mouth hole all right so let's get us inside the hippopotamus oh right in oh it comes out he comes out of his butt but another hole in one nice look at these giant whales bursting forth from the astro turf now this is the final hole here and i'm trying to understand what's going on before i knock my ball in there's some sort of person turning a crank this appears to be the little woman who lives in a shoe there's like some sort of rube goldberg-esque device anyway let's uh try to knock our ball in all right let's knock this ball in okay the ball look at the ball just dropped down there oh old lady just peeked out of the shoe and our ball goes up there being raised to the top of the house [Music] oh deposited in that tunnel there it goes here on the side of the shoe we have the old lady bursting out from her shoe oh wow looks like the flog flume has actually reopened so maybe we will get a chance to uh take a ride on that oh wow that goes fast and here we go out on our log oh my goodness oh look at this grumpy guy got a plunger and dynamite the dome mine okay so there are gnomes in the mine we've got a cougar just the dynamite gnomes oh look at these guys oh man this is a little rough these guys oh the waterfall here the naked man taking a bath oh yeah look at these gnomes i'm traveling really fast and this is free floating but uh yeah i don't want to check out these creepy gnomes look at that hey gnomes little bats hanging from the inside of this cave okay here here we go headed up to the top of the flume oh my gosh oh my god this may be a terrible decision i don't know why i i don't know why i got on here i don't know why i wanted to ride this there's the big wheel there as we look over the ocean and uh ready ourselves for our plunge of doom [Music] oh that was terrifying now that it's getting a little darker we can take a little a little bit of a better peek into the windows of dark ride yeah what is that thing right there that's pretty spooky crazy submarine there's a little mermaid there oh and i think that's spongebob's house and then this side of the submarine we have a giant lobster as well as a smiling starfish and then we have this we have a little little bear mascot wonder bear so thank you for joining me here today at jillian's wonderland here in ocean city new jersey i must admit i did not even know about this place until just a month or so ago someone mentioned it in a live stream it just reminds me there's so much cool stuff out there that i may not know about that that's why the
