well I've been asked why come out here from anti-area right I was born and raised warming and ten years ago I came out of Mormonism and I want to share a little bit about what I believed when I was a Mormon that really really hit my heart in doctoring Covenants section 82 verse 7 Spencer Kimball quoted this to me from miracle forgiveness and now barely I say into I Lord will not lay any sin to your charge go your ways and send no more but under that soul who sinneth shall the former sins return saith the Lord your God now I wanted to do anything that I could to not listen to what President Kim will have to say about what we can connect and then stop spinning but when I read that version dr. and covenants that my sins returns to me if I kept sinning I was trapped there was no way around it because the doctor covenants was a revelation directly from God is God speaking and so I knew that I needed to keep all the commandments and and I thought my mind there must be a way around this and I thought well maybe I can repent when the next life after I die and then Spencer goes on in his book and he actually talks about this no one can repent in the next slide that they have to do it in this life if they've heard the gospel bill repentance in the next life commended for those have never heard the gospel and then he did another thing that bothered me the heck it was an Alma a quote Alma 34 verse 34 and it says you cannot say when you are brought to the awful crisis and if you go back and you read all of chapter 34 you'll you'll notice the awful prices in your hearts to his death and so you cannot say when you're brought to the top of prices or death that I will repent that I will return to my god now you cannot say this for that same spirit with the possess your bodies at the time that you go out of this life that same spirit will have power to possess your body and that eternal and so I realized that for me as a Mormon I've heard the gospel that in order for me to truly have forgiveness I had to repent in this life before I died or I wasn't going to have a chance when I finally learned that Mormonism wasn't true and I started studying the Bible I found some verses that really brought hope to my life the first of these was in Romans 4 verses 6 through 10 and this is amazing how powerful this verse was david says the same thing that he speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven whose sins are covered blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him now before I go on and read the rest of this verse think of the word never how long is never never is a forever statement it's the person who is forgiven this way is forgiven prominently now Paul goes on is this blessing this is this forgiveness all the way for the circumcised are also for the uncircumcised we have been saying that Abraham's faith was credited to him as righteousness under what circumstances wasn't credited was before he was circumcised or after it was not after but before Abraham before he even did any good work such as circumcision was forgiven by God permanently for all of his sins so that he would have a place in heaven forever and that is a righteousness that sticks it's something that doesn't leave you it's a hope that doesn't go away Jesus he confirmed this in John 5:24 I tell you the truth whoever hears my word and believes in Him who has sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned he has crossed over from death to life now listen those words will not be condemned that is a permanent forgiveness he has crossed over from death to life now as a warm and I used to say but the scripture says that you will be judged by your works yes that's true if your name is written in the Book of the Dead by your works but it says that if your name is written in the book of life that you will enter into the kingdom of heaven and see what Jesus said here is once you believe your name is taken from the Book of the Dead and given to the book of life and that means you are forgiven and it's a permanent forgiveness this is the hope that I'm trying to share here the Manti pageant it's a forgiveness that lasts I don't have a question about whether I will be good enough because I know that Jesus was good enough and therefore I have a hope that is freeze and I know that I'm going to be in heaven because with Jesus because he gave me this eternal life was preached in the book of Romans can I read this verse for you david says the same thing whose sin the Lord will never count into him now I'm going to ask you a question how long is networks that's a forever statement guys this forgiveness that he's talking about is a permanent forgiveness don't you will never have your sins counted against you is this blessedness because only for the circumcised or also for the uncircumcised we have been saying that Abraham's faith was credited to him as righteousness now under what circumstances was it credited was it after he was circumcised or before it was not after but before see Abraham was given this forgiveness before he was even circumcised this is like saying that Abraham received his forgiveness from God prominent forgiveness before he was baptized that's amazing let me tell you another scripture this is great jesus said I tell you the truth whoever hears my word and believes in Him who has sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned now this statement guys will not be condensed of permian forgiveness he has crossed over from death to life you guys remember in the book of Revelation there's two books that people are judged out of there's the Book of the Dead and then there's the book of life and the weber's game is written the book of life will enter into heaven jesus said I tell you whoever believes in Me has eternal life and is crossed over from death to life your name is then taken from the
