This is an exceedingly clever idea, and well within the capabilities of ancient peoples, even if one only accepts the standard historical model of technological development.

My only question is, if the empty room was left as a decoy, why didn’t they add more hieroglyphics after the elevator was lowered, and finish the floor better, to make the disguise more complete?

Anyone here ever heard of Joseph Farrell or Christopher Dunn?

[Music] hello everybody and welcome to ancient architects please subscribe now to get the latest ancient history news and independent research from around the world I've been meaning to make a video on the Great Pyramid elevator hypothesis for quite some time but I've held back because I needed to get my head around it and the implications if the idea is true there are in fact two different hypotheses out there that claim that there is at least one elevator shaft within the Great Pyramid one theory says the elevator shafts were used in construction something that Bob Crowley is a great deal of work on but another is their hidden elevator shaft hides the elusive remains of pharaoh Khufu and this is the hypothesis I'll be focusing on in this video I know there is a huge body of thoughts that the Great Pyramid is not the tomb of pharaoh Khufu and I'm not saying that I believe it is but it is something we need to take seriously as a strong possibility as the inventory stealer shows the kings of a late period of dynastic history certainly associated Khufu with a Great Pyramid Herodotus also says that Khufu builds the Great Pyramid the Derby of mirror also shows that there was substantial building work at Giza during his reign and then we have the somewhat dubious Khufu graffiti in the relieving chambers yes it's all circumstantial evidence but and the very least Khufu could have renovated and reworked the structure and turned an ancient pyramid into his tomb it's strange because most people seem to believe the Greek philosopher Plato when he talks of a lost island called Atlantis a third or fourth hand accounts with no real physical evidence yet when Greek historian Herodotus says Khufu is associated with the Great Pyramid it is often dismissed as rubbish either way the final resting place of pharaoh Khufu has never been located and whether he built the Great Pyramid or not for the sake of explaining this somewhat unusual hypothesis let's say he was laid to rest inside the structure because this hypothesis explains sort of the anomalies we see in the Great Pyramid and also while we haven't have found the final resting place of the Pharaoh I've been reading a theory on a translated Russian websites and I sadly can't find the name of the researcher who came up with the idea but I know that he or she has per great deal of effort into it originally I scoffed at the idea and dismissed it but the more I read the more impressed I am so here is a convoluted look and the Great Pyramid elevator hypothesis the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid is the top of an elevator shaft the idea goes of the crooked and haphazard granite patchwork floor of the King's Chamber is in fact the roof of an analogue elevator today the elevator is at his lowest level turning the top of the elevator and the shaft into a decoy burial chamber to put it simply is a fake to for tomb robbers an empty decoy complete with false sarcophagus that was always positioned on the roof of the elevator the claim is that this sarcophagus was always empty always lidless and always broken so that any later explorers whether in ancient Egypt or thousands of years later would see the room and stop their search believing the Kings tomb had already been looted and therefore leaving the Pharaoh in peace the elevator itself is made of stone probably limestone with granite and it wasn't made to keep going up and down it was made to go down once and only once when the Kings body was placed inside the researchers who have worked on the hypothesis say that this idea explains more than 40 strange anomalies from the function of the so called air shafts to the huge amounts of salt in the Queen's Chamber - strange vertical scratches on the Kings chamber walls as well as white powder if somehow this hypothesis could be proved correct it could mean that there is a perfectly intact burial of a king in the very heart of the Great Pyramid and before you think that this idea is ridiculous or impossible just remember that the Great Pyramid as a whole should be an impossible structure it is the best quality engineering built by the most intelligent minds of the time and therefore nothing is off-limits the idea certainly got my attention and hopefully it's got yours too so I will now explain smooth the evidence on the elevator hypothesis although it's important to note that there is a lot more I could go into again this is not my idea but it is that of a Russian researcher or team of researchers whose names I'm struggling to locate firstly the reason there are no hieroglyphs or iconic imagery inside the King's Chamber painted or carved onto the walls is simply because is a lift shaft and a decoy hieroglyphs and funerary images in burial chambers were not decorations for tourists nobody else was ever meant to go in they were important for the deceased person only and so if anywhere they would only be painted or inscribed at the place where the body actually is number two the floor of the King's Chamber is not connected to the walls as noted by Flinders Petrie and as shown in the pictures from inside the cavity in the northwest corner of the King's Chamber the walls actually continue below the so called floor level but why well maybe because what we call the King's Chamber floor is not a true floor at all number three there was a lot a mysterious white powder found on the walls inside the King's Chamber the researchers interpret this as dust generated by friction as the limestone or granite elevator scraped down the granite walls when the lifts moved number four there are vertical scratches on the walls of the King's Chamber and nobody can explain them as they look to be done after the walls were polished the researchers explain this as the movement of the elevator when it was lowered to his final position number five the King's Chamber sarcophagus is poor quality with cut marks clear to see it has no ledge and was seemingly broken in antiquity some say it's also possibly unfinished this is explained in the hypothesis by it being a decoy a fake coffer never meant for a king number six the King's Chamber has excellent quality polished granite walls but with a poor quality finish on the floor in ceiling in fact the floor is a complete mess a mishmash of different sized blocks the researchers explained the quality wall finish by saying it was on this way to reduce friction for the elevator a finish unnecessary for the roof of an elevator shaft and a false floor number 7 it's always been a mystery while the pyramid has so many relieving chambers and numerous strong granite beams above the King's Chamber the King's Chamber alone wouldn't need this level of support this can be explained by the fact there is a larger Hollow an elevator shaft therefore needing extra levels of strength in the roof number AIDS why is there so much loose quartz sand in the pyramid sanfur has been found in cavities around the lower queen's chamber seeping through the roof in the Queen's Chamber recess as well as in the Queen's Chamber air shafts one possibility is that the elevator shaft may have once been filled with coarse sand the strongest type of sand to lower the elevator the sand was released filling the specially made cavities inside the pyramid I'll go into this more later number 9 and the micrograph imagery data as shown in a previous video this shows that there is a large cavity under the floor of the King's Chamber there is a strong reading directly under the entrance where you would have entered the elevator in a race position there is also a large oblong shaped anomaly in the centre and this is where the sarcophagus would have been placed the data is roughly showing the internal dimensions of the hollow inside the stone elevator where the true sarcophagus was placed and shown here somewhat crudely number 10 and the hypothesis gives the pyramid air shafts a real working purpose they are explained as being the mechanism for lowering the elevator to its final position there are in fact two different ideas one is at the lowest section of the elevator shaft was once filled with huge blocks of solds to lower the elevator water was poured into the King's Chamber air shafts from the outside which ran down the sides of the elevator shaft dissolving the blocks of salts below the Queen's Chamber shafts are then opened and the now salty water runs from the elevator shaft into the Queen's Chamber air shafts and then into the Queen's Chamber which explains the huge amount of salt that was found encrusted inside the chamber by Giovanni Cavalia the quartz and cab and I've explained in previous videos that I found a bull and around the Queen's Chamber are interpreted as kind of reservoirs places where the water can go from there it can seep through the pyramid without compromising its strength if the course and was actually limestone sand the type we see on the Giza Plateau and the water if slightly acidic could have potentially dissolved the sand and therefore making the pyramid somewhat unstable there is also another variant of this theory which I mentioned earlier that says that the lower part of the elevator shaft was actually full of fine coarse sand not salt and the water that came into the king's chamber air shafts was simply used to dissolve the salt plug that emptied the chamber of sand moving it down to the Queen's Chamber air shafts and therefore lowering the elevator so it all seems quite amazing and highly intriguing and I'm not really giving it justice I'm really just giving a brief overview but of course with any hypothesis there are problems we know that it's very likely than the Caliph al Mamoon and then how advice dug down through the floor of the Kings chamber in the northwestern corner and by all accounts they found nothing in actual facts the original hole may have been dug in ancient Egyptian times and not by the Caliph al Mamoon but this isn't evidence against the idea because the elevator hypothesis doesn't imply that the elevator itself is a big square box with thin walls like a room but is made of solid blocks of masonry with a small room or hollow inside for the sarcophagus so to answer the problem al Mamoon and how advice simply did not reach the burial chamber by all accounts vice gave up on his search because of a lack of discoveries and put it down to old excavations by tomb robbers but you have to ask yourself why did anybody dig down in the first place if somebody knows something we don't did somebody know exactly where to find the burial chamber this hypothesis just get a little more exciting though because it could bring into play the new void was discovered by the scan pyramids projects as far as we know there is no possible connection from the known internal layout of the Great Pyramid - this void it's just there floating around all by itself and therefore there must be other corridors leading to AIDS but there are a number of options for how it could connect as I showed in my video on the trial passages there may be a vertical shaft located in the junction of the ascending and descending passageways there could also be a corridor from the small void that was found behind the pyramids outer Chevron blocks but if this hypothesis is correct it could be connected to the burial chamber the one inside the elevator and its lowest position and it could be where the King kept all his worldly priceless possessions for the afterlife but if like many people you don't subscribe to the Khufu tomb hypothesis but you are attracted to the elevator idea what else could have been placed down there could the true purpose of the Great Pyramid have been hiding inside here all along and could it still remain to this day I don't know exactly how I feel about this hypothesis but it certainly got my imagination going and it certainly has a somewhat indianajones feel about it could it be true or is it just wishful thinking please comment your thoughts below thank you very much for watching this episode of ancient architects if you enjoyed the video please
