hello my friends welcome to the video today we are going to be trying a box of scottish snacks that an amazing subscriber angela sent to us and i am very excited because i took a little sneak peek at the goods and it looks really exciting i'm excited scotland is definitely on my bucket list for travel dave and i um well prior to 2020 we're kind of researching like doing a bike tour across scotland the hardest part i know right i know i know it's crazy it is awesome and i even found i'm going to say it wrong and brew and burr not spelled at all like that ah cool okay is that it's like one of the biggest cities where danny mccaskill's from okay anyway we were gonna stop there after the bike ride and then i found a couple of cool excursions there was one where you could like cliff jump off these rocks and then swim with seals that is awesome anyway we clearly haven't made it to scotland yet so this is the closest thing we get we need to travel buy food travel via my stomach uh to to scotland so here is what angela said just so we know because she talked about a couple of the things most of the items are made in scotland but there are a few that are made in the uk or are uk snacks but highly enjoyed in scotland i see this one got open pickled onion rings okay oh that's a very vinegary smell smell that right that's gonna be good why don't you get yourself a little nibble whoa i will whoa that'll clear your sinuses right up wow the package got opened in the box so they're a little stale the flavor's there right wow those are strawberries that's like salt and vinegar onion rings with some pickle thrown in with some pickle you went on i'm pretty good what kind of grows on me i'm good it's just the texture because they got open they're floofy like cheetos yeah it's like a cheeto without yeah there's no texture it gets in the back of the throat [Laughter] for sure like it gets you right here and then if you laugh it's like up here in your ears oh man all these packages are so cool i'm trying extra mature cheddar and chili bites wait oh there you go why do they smell sweet are they cookie wait cheddar and chili cheddar biscuits kind of but little not sweet no not sweet at all there's something we have that's very similar to this yeah the red lobster cheddar biscuits i was thinking something else i don't know that's not what i was the texture is different but it feels a little cheesy yeah to me oh there it is the flavor mhm those are so good they are good yeah they taste like cheez-its but the texture is not like cheez-its right haggis wait a minute haggis and cracked black black pepper potato crisps which is scottish for chips [Laughter] i know that's what they call them over there they call them potato crisps crisps crisps crisps are chips okay good yeah and then a biscuit is a cookie i do that and a and a scone is a biscuit [Music] the haggis scares me because i've never had haggis i haven't either but neither but i just think of the scene and so i married an axe murderer when she was like ooh haggis yes uh do you have haggis i don't actually know anything about it those are good oh yeah i like those okay i'm just reading the ingredient list okay nothing in there looks scary is there a smoke oh oh yeah [Music] like peppery and smoke it's like peppery smokey and a little sweet like barbecue but the texture is more like a that was a little crazy it's more like a pringles right like it's not like a regular potato chip it's crunchier than a pringle no i'm saying but pringles are typically made from like a potato flower yeah kind of make formed these are not typically like these are not like little sliced potatoes sliced potatoes who's that barley flour oat flour yeah wheat flour you're right it's a manufactured potato they're super crunchy i like these a lot they're next up we have these shortbread mini bites you want to open that for me i love a good mini bite just kidding i like shortbread particularly dipped in chocolate very similar to many shortbread cookies we have i think it's way less sweet oh yeah that's less than the ones we have the ones we have here way more sweet than this this is like buttery flaky yeah you know what it needs a little bit of lemon curd oh yes i have a hard time eating shortbread cookies about lemon cream but those are really good there's okay there is sugar in it i was like there's no sugar in this i love how flaky those are they're super flaky dude you know the shortbread cookies that are in the danish cookies like those are way better these are better than those before yeah i agree because they're way better soft sugar coated iron brew flavored is it pasties pasties how they say in harry potter oh pumpkin passies two pumpkin pasties please pumpkin pasties so she said she said she wanted to send the iron brew the national soda but she didn't want to send a liquid so she said this they're like gummies it's like dead handy form of a drink correct which we have a lot of those yeah okay oh they are like a gum so when cho is asking for pumpkin pasty she's actually saying pumpkin pasties yeah i don't know that they look like orange but that they don't taste like orange a little orangey a little bit oh i like those oh why do they taste fizzy it's a drink these are so good these are way good dude oh my gosh i want the drink it even had like a little bit of a butterscotch this is amazing is that my am i crazy a little bit of butterscotch you're crazy citric acid flavorings cornstarch whoa you get a different flavor the second time these are so good what are they these are so good i'm here for it all day you are fabulous that is so good look at mine [Applause] let's talk about the crunchy bar i've got these from canada really oh yeah they're really good but she says they're a uk snack this one but they like them a lot a cadbury crunchy yeah have you had this this is like one of my favorite snacks or snack candy i want to go back to the iron brew i know they're really good okay so it's like a aerated toffee kind of inside okay that looks so cool stop why don't we have anything like this i know the things that they do to the chocolate oh my gosh all these kind of things like the aero bar and the bubbly chocolate i'll be back later what do you think so good one of one of the best one of the best they're amazing is his tongue still fizzing something's going on milk chocolate tea cakes it's a biscuit topped with marshmallow and covered in chocolate this sounds like something americans would make hope you didn't want dinner sounds like something we would make sounds an awful lot like a s'more right oh look how beautifully these are packaged it's a bit squishy first you take them all out you're killing me smalls oh it is covered it is covered in chocolate it's like an already made s'more because that's like the yeah the graham cracker those dang elves oh my gosh it's so it's so soft that is the cookie is really soft what is it about chocolate over there that they do so much better than we do their chocolate is so much better our chocolate sucks sting all the chocolate that's that's really good that is amazing oh my gosh i feel like i might need a private moment you girls are ridiculous get back up here and let's finish this video this is like the most decadent thing i kind of want to see what their nutrition labels required okay so here's what's cool we're good they have it everything is by a hundred grams oh perfect it's their rules yeah i think that's cool hey there's even some protein in there [Laughter] i don't think that's why you're eating this a scale out of one to ten i say 74. oh you are nothing mrs tilly's the famous scottish tablet based on the ingredient list of this one it looks highly similar to a candy that we got in the dominican republic like a lot sugar whole milk salted butter sweetened condensed milk right like the dulce de leche a little bit a little bit like that i didn't really like that because it was like so much it's like a milk candy it was it was not my favorite thing well he struggles with that i'm also going to open the dolly dolly mix mixtures which is from the uk not from scotland but they like them okay okay here's the tablet the famous scottish tablet okay i need a way smaller piece [Laughter] that looks like the same size that doesn't look any smaller haley i'll take i'll bite half of this for you okay oh that is so good that's better than the one we got in the dr buy a long shot wow oh my gosh it really is like a dual sailor light kind of like a i need milk i taste a very very caramel like deep caramel flavor what's funny is this is your comment tastes like the second you brush that's so real powder yeah yeah that was really good i was worried it was going to taste exactly like the ones that we got in the dr but this one is a lot better i see you the famous scottish tablet oh there's like gumdrops wait what is that wait is it gum is it candy what the crap it's taco it's not good it's candy you got a gum drop i got a gum drop one yeah there's different those are different oh it's a weird flavor oh i like the gum drops what is the flavor i got black currant raspberry lime chocolate orange strawberry blackcurrant lemon so i'm going to try one of these so i'm going to try the lime that's probably the green one right oh that's nice i'm trying to figure out what it is like it tastes really good but like okay what haven't i had there's a lot of sugar in there a ton of sugar i like those those are way good yeah dang nice choice what can we get stuff like that i don't know we can't get anything that good not any of this why do you think chips that are that texture i feel like the mint chocolate is a classic right it's going to send us it looks like a big old andes mint it really does yeah but andy's mint doesn't have the the white center it's like chocolate all the way through so a big york it's a big york peppermint patty that's what it is chocolate mint oh yeah definitely it's dark chocolate yeah but it's like not american dark chocolate dare i say that that's better than new york because the chocolate's so much better that's chocolate that's amazing that's really good oh my god that's really well done very well done there hasn't been anything in here that i haven't really liked no i've liked everything maybe the first one wait did you not finish your marshmallow puff i'm watching my figure oh my gosh let me watch your finger for you macky's honeycomb dairy milk chocolate with honeycomb pieces i don't know that i've ever had actual honeycomb i know i haven't i haven't either what are you doing how do people in scotland get into packaging step aside two legs yeah you gotta go like that oh i don't think dad's ready for scotland no i don't want to take me instead haley's coming instead of you you can't handle it you can't handle the wrappers doesn't it feel like when you open one you're like where's the golden ticket no oh oh they're beautiful they are beautiful hang on what does that say does it spell anything i think it smells macky's i got the cow oh my gosh stop wow that's really good set that aside for me for later oh my gosh yeah that's rock solid i'm speechless the way it is coating my tongue i never glorious i never wanted to end that chocolate is so rich and luscious oh my god you know us oh my gosh the chocolate is so creamy [Laughter] okay eating all this like chocolate stuff i have never been happier makes me think america's chocolate sucks because america's chocolate does suck it does i'm really impressed last one yeah last one this is the last one last one caramel wafer biscuits oh my gosh those are so they're so cute here tell me in the comments do you pronounce it caramel or caramel which way do you say it oh these are going to be better than our wafer cookies i smell yours [Laughter] it is so good you expected to like crisp a little bit but it's actually got a little bit of like chew to it because the caramel oh i think i'm speechless that's better than there's any stupid wafer cookie i have [Laughter] i've never tasted anything in the u.s it's like that you ever have the little debbie peanut butter ones that are like this but they're peanut butter i don't think so it's a wafer cookie but it's peanut butter covered in chocolate yeah that sucks compared to this call me little debbie i'm little debbie okay if you had to pick your top three no okay yeah these are definitely i'll put these in the top three the marshmallow bomb thing the iron brew things are your all right the marshmallow thingy i'm like can we do top four and then we're gonna oh my gosh we missed one we're all done caramac by nestle more nestle that's a caramel bar wow that's really sweet that is really rich it's not a white chocolate it's no no it's it's caramel it tastes like caramel but it tastes to me more like a milk yeah they have milk in it i need to like balance all of this okay okay top three my top three can i go do mine first um i suppose no i don't want to do my first [Laughter] kayla go pick your top three these are the iron bruise yeah okay soda you keep the tea cakes tea cakes if i had to choose between the wafer and then this like honeycomb bar mm-hmm okay so mine is the iron brew and the tea cakes the mark i'm going to call them the marshmallow bombs i like that and the crunchy bar oh i forgot about that oh man that one's so good are you gonna eat the last piece no the crunchy bar okay okay those are my those are my three so mine i'm i'm definitely gonna choose the iron bruise right i think i'm gonna take these dolly mixtures okay yeah you and your fruity candy and i think i'm gonna take the mint chocolate yeah okay who are you changing it up it was a really tough one between that and the crunchy the crunchy is amazing everything yeah this is it's better than anything i can get here now on all the savory ones there weren't that many these these these hands down are my favorite no i like these onion onion things yeah that was nothing oh i like that one i like that one i just don't think i like the texture because i was expecting like crunchy strawberries this is like a cheeto it's a cheeto poof a cheeto poof yeah okay that's gonna be it for this video thank you so much to angela for sending this awesome box of
