All Of Our Rigs Are Going To Be Broken After This Sketchy Recovery!

everything we got will be broke down before we get out of here today thank you so much for being uneventful yeah morning we got us a little different project today got a broke down Jeep in hog Canyon you've seen us go there before with the tow truck and pull a Jeep out with Matt we've towed a bunch of stuff out of there this one we're gonna try to fix it and drive it out instead of tow it it's a CJ five or seven I'm not sure which but has a broke steering box Well the box is good the mound is bad as you can see it's missing all the parts they brought me that with a bag of bolts I'm gonna try to weld this thing back together fix it we're gonna run out there put it back together I'm just waiting for Ben and Hunter to show up I'm gonna start piecing on this thing see if we can get her put back together and uh go get his Jeep we'll probably recruit some help give Papa Dar to go just in case things go sideways and we need some more power so we'll see what we can do I just happen to have a steering box out in my stuff that will bolt to this so I think I'll bolt it down and then we'll be it all out weld it up good we'll put it back on this should drive us out there if we're careful yeah yep the steering box fits so that means that one goes there [Music] pretty close isn't it so this is cast iron so we're going to use a couple different methods here I'm going to welding this back together we're going to heat it get it warm then after we're done heating it we're going to take this air hammer and ping it I don't know what that does exactly it's supposed to relieve some tension out of it so it doesn't crack my uncle taught me that and I've just done it and it works so I keep doing it all right that's number one for the day I hit my head again I'm gonna start act like Homer Simpson it's gonna work isn't it yeah it's gonna work good enough [Music] what can't hear you well it's hot now the question is does it still fit foreign let it cool down we'll let it cool off see if it cracks properly cooled down and it appears appeared to be good enough I don't see any cracking that's going to drive that jeep out we'll load our junk up and we'll go put it on and see if we can't get it out of there for this guy Ben's tightening the heater hose up right now a heater core hose had a little antifreeze on this on the floorboard today so we fired it up we're giving the old FJ once over the doors are going to be a little Heat cleaned up rope straps tools bolts you got the parts I think we got what we need to do this job get out of here we better give our a call tell him we're ready to go we're just leaving all right we'll see you at Ramsey's bye all in now Hunter let's go we are officially on this recovery we're going for it got Ben and Hunter we're uh going to meet with DAR th and we'll go see if we can get us a Jeep hopefully it's uneventful for us and you guys probably hope that it's actually available so that it's entertaining but hopefully it goes smooth we'll welded bolts is going to be uneventful it doesn't gonna be exciting we're going to have a strap hooked off of each side trying to keep it straight yeah should be fun all right away we go oh the heater's working if we had these dang bug catcher Wing Windows figured out that'd be nice yeah they got their windows rolled out oh yeah they've got oh yeah that's why they kicked me to the car over here the torque converter but hey it's working converting torque so that's all it matters [Music] got one we had to have a center for a yellow submarine 6-0 will be pretty cool in this thing yeah the hill was pretty smooth that was good until we hit one of the house later this is where the fun begins yeah build the trans is running 180 degrees converter's a little warm yeah that converter's uh doing some converting in there and she's got to make her through the tail girl we'll put a new one in here yeah come on I'll treat you better don't give us up maybe dar's gonna have to drag two of us out of here that was the bottomed out right there enough we'll just be in the tow truck for this yes this will be a support vehicle right down here is the GateKeeper when they get to this they either go on or turn around and go back yeah I guess I should have looked at the gas we got a half a tank can't take us more than that to get in there now we may pull a Matt Wetzel today and run out of gas no never breaks yeah that's definitely a gatekeeper holy cow I've never done willing quite like this before right here video a little we're just driving yeah you gotta remember it's not that easy is the heart she's fixed yeah welded up modified and let's get our plunder let's get all the goodies down goes Hunter and away he goes my problem fixed steer that thing a little Dar let's see if it breaks off that way I keep going right there yo I guess let's figure it out if we can start this thing that's the horn all right horn Works try the lights that sounds like winner once again Hunter you the way right there on the other side and on the other side about an inch and a half of weld holding it so we're gonna go easy is what we're saying real gentle let's see if you can turn it around it's staring doing staring things gonna work yep I think we're good we'll get turned around and this thing's just small they're little it's a little G yeah like the Golden Nugget size but yeah a little bigger I like these old Jeeps that went pretty smooth we'll see how the rest of this trip goes that's how I was hoping this was going to go yeah pretty smooth and easy you're not out yet all right let burn it on there and weld it in and two-wheel drive that jeep out of here that one's pretty mobile I just have to help in a couple spots so we'll have a train another inch whoa hey do you got a new in here yep looks shiny oh it fell oh my god oh you got goggles and everything yeah you can't weld without goggles going can you hold it right there for a second got it egg Flame [Music] we're trying to fill a gap we didn't get this all the way up in we couldn't put a bolt right back here to try to weld it in that'll show it oh that'll do it so much for being uneventful yeah yeah killer yeah she's uh welded up good enough to get us out of hog if we can get out of here 190. huh I think the tranny's Dead everything we got will be broke down before we get out of here today hey the CJ5 one pulls all your way and then I'll go pull dar th [Music] foreign ER is not happy about it this is not happy at me it sounds bad yes it yeah it's not good let alone having one broke we have two and then we have three we knew this one was broke when we came that's true take that off I'll just follow you okay come on trans cool down with old girl well that was more eventful than I expected today we got this all done right now we're gonna have to get us a couple rigs fixed sounds terrible I just need to get this back to the truck or we're going to be Towing it you know I don't think it's supposed to sound like that yeah saying I think that you need to turn your radio off what's up converters screaming at us telling me the things out of there I haven't haven't failed to start slipping yet I'm sure it's coming I'll bet that jeep rides a little rougher than this one does oh wait Ben's going to be going a little slower here I'll put my sunglasses back up it's such a wild ride only got one all right it's easy road now very good now everything's still hanging on oh yeah no issues I'm good to go let's get to the truck and we're out of TOMS deep recovered deep welded transmission cooked all right we should be over the hill now maybe the trams can cool down a bit I hope we're at uh 2 20. on the trans tail this is the reason I didn't go to the last day of Trail hero because I knew that I hurt this I just haven't had time to fix it I'm gonna make time now evidently [Music] raining almost 250. look at that gauge in there oh yeah she's toast converter it did all the conversion steam or smoke coming out of it converters left the building how was it in there we could see uh bouncing around a little bit she started bucking a little bit it was pretty nice she got after it a little hot rod I like this little thing running out of vehicles what's happening to your voice man I think I got a cold all right Jeep recovery successful it's hooked on so the steering box see my weld's held everything's good but not a permanent fix they're gonna need to find the right part get this thing fixed because you don't want that to fall off when you're driving down the road so definitely a temporary fix but it got us out of the trail it got us home yep thanks for watching all right Randall just showed up in the shop look at that ugly mug what's going on people he's been doing his thing
