to make sure we was together I should take them and work with me and hit you all everybody know everybody know I'm at work remember Calvin used to fuss at the guys that was coming up with me and they was in the streets a lot he was telling them like you can't have one feet and then one feet out you gotta be like all the way in it like focus on the goal you know and them guys they went left and um Unfortunately they they got killed you weigh the odds out like dag did you want to go to jail or you want to live that's the whole idea to come to the boxing gym if I ain't had the people I had around me like the people that started with me and things like that I probably would have been off the scene for a long time you know I think that the people that I started with really keep me sin and keep me focused because it's not just me that's fighting this battle it's people that's that's what me you know I mean that's walking with me day in and day out some kids are good with the mind some kids are good with their hands and some kids are good just fight Kenny used to always say kids like that come every 10 years so what happened we got one of them [Music] what up man we're gonna give you a piece peace it's a piece all right just to cut a piece you're the best man yeah I mean the whole thing yo we cleaned the place foreign [Laughter] for Davis the Garcia bout marks the culmination of a you get over the pain and before you know it you're back in the pain that's what it felt like it was torture and I said to myself I don't want a box no more I'm done this is not even me and I tell my mom I need I need help I'm so proud of my son for everything he's gone through and you know overcome it's amazing it's an amazing journey in boxing more than most sports feelings can be mislabeled as weakness Garcia knows better because he understands the power that can be called from facing and reconciling an unseen opponent As Time passed by I started really getting back to myself something I woke inside me it was just true truth was in me therapy the life-changing variety comes in all forms and for King Ryan boxing doubles as meditation a contrast necessary to always come back stronger
