ALL 120 Features In Minecraft 1.20 Trails & Tales!

if you like new Minecraft features then 1.20 certainly has plenty if you remove the dot you'll be perfectly on the spot for exactly how many are found in this update and that's just features that across platform between bedrock and Java there are actually some Java exclusives and some Bedrock exclusives I'll be covering in this video on top of that number but yeah this update is huge and it can very Loosely be grouped into customization and personalization but the truth is Tails and Trails does not do a good enough job at conveying exactly what's inside and so let's do that in today's video by splitting it into sections of what exactly you can find when you download this new update right after I give you a very brief subscription pitch saying that hey if you want to see new things done in this update and the latest update news you can subscribe to the channel and you'll see me destroying all of the new biomes as soon as they come out speaking of new biomes I think it's important to start with the second best wood and that I certainly should because Cherry will make you very merry but bamboo is something that takes a little bit more explaining because it's our first wood block that exists in Minecraft craft that you don't find by chopping down a tree or tree-based organism instead you get bamboo blocks by combining the old bamboo plant they finally decided to add these to the game which is really fun because you get the bamboo block and the strip bamboo block variant which you can get by stripping the bamboo block now I just have two of them and then there's also the bamboo Mosaic blocks as well as all of the planks the stairs and the slabs for the regular bamboo planks this is two brand new entirely you know different sets of planks I really like the bamboo Mosaic it kind of leans into the bamboo identity uh but you might like the regular bamboo specifically for making these strong vertical lines kind of like bricks but made from wood I like it a lot and you certainly might too um then we've got the bamboo fence skate and the bamboo fence which aren't available in both variants but still I think they look decent enough if you want a yellow wood block font then this is a great way to do that the 11th feature is the bamboo sign and this is a fun way to say hi we've got the bamboo button which you can press and it sounds exactly like the other ones but the interesting blocks to me are the bamboo trap doors at 13 the bamboo regular door at 14 because both of these have unique ways to see through them every single door and trap door has different visibility patterns and this trapdoor is perhaps the most you can see through one which makes it really great for having a physical barrier between stuff but still being able to see exactly what's behind it I can see that there is a cherry sapling behind that pressure plate which is really really nice um the pressure block by the way the pressure plate is uh very non-notable it's the 15 feature but the 16th and 17th are some incredibly bizarre items because the boat for bamboo is actually just a raft this was a very interesting design decision because you might think wow Minecraft is trying to make the boats really unique but that's not the case in the Cherry Grove which is a whole new biome I really love this place it is one of the most astounding features in this update I mean look at the way these petals fall from the trees look at the fact that this is decorated in a whole new way we've got a brand new type of pink wood but that is really the features that come within the biome which you can find an old or existing worlds your generation has changed forever in some ways that are pretty positive because now you can find the new cherry tree sampling as well as the cherry tree that grows from it I think cherry trees are one of the most beautiful ones yet partially because of all the blocks that come with them they have cherry leaves and Cherry logs and cherry wood which is obviously the kind of bark block thing you can then strip the cherry wood and you can strip the Cherry log and then we've got the pink petals which are found on the floor pink petals seem mostly useless and that's because they are but if you really want to push their usefulness to the max you can do some interesting decorations with them because when you place them on the ground you can choose which direction they go it's not like grass for it spawns on a basically random part of the block you can actually summon them in so you can have lots of Cherry in some places and not much in others and if I'm being honest 99 of Minecraft players are not doing that level of detail if you are good on you I'm proud of you do your fun stuff but if you're not you can simply just use it as a way to get pink dye which I think is a great way to make you not want to die however it does have to be said that the Cherry Grove biome is not just limited to these things by themselves because as we walk through the place really appreciating the beauty it should be said that also here you can get the brand new Cherry planks turned into Cherry stairs and Cherry slabs seriously look at this block palette it's so good I know calling bamboo the second best word might have been a disrespectful thing but after seeing Cherry I think we can all agree it deserves it this was the wood type 1.20 needed and it's the wood type we're all going to get as a result after the 29th feature comes 30 through 33 and again I personally actually prefer the uh the bamboo trapdoor just for the purposes I'm using it for but again this is mostly just here so if you have a pink palette which works quite well with a mangrove from 1.19 by the way this is a great way to tie that in speaking of tying into 1.19 I think this update does a really good job at improving a lot of people's perceptions from that update but we'll move into that more after mentioning that the Cherry button is a thing it's a button but it's pink the Cherry pressure plate is a thing it's a pressure plate and get this it's pink and the Cherry sign is a thing and this one is also saying hi to me wow isn't this such a nice lovely world uh speaking of lovely worlds this is my cherry boat and it's piggins and troops there and this is a cherry boat with a chest and oh this one looks good too huh I love it so with that said that is the end of the Cherry Grove biome but don't be fooled into thinking that's the end of the natural generation changes because archeology means that desert temples and desert Wells have changed substantially too and this is a really fun one in my opinion because it means that there is now a brand new tool and a brand new reason to use those tools in the existing structures so these existing structures doesn't mean that you can find these in your existing worlds uh unless you find a brand new one but yeah you'll find suspicious sand chilling around this is a clever way for it to be hidden the 42nd new feature in 1.20 and what do you find inside the suspicious sand honestly I apparently gunpowder in this case you can find find all sorts of things hidden below the world even in these kind of previously existing structures this is a great update to existing stuff and what you can find is not just gunpowder it's the archery Pottery shirt or a diamond that's not a new feature but it's nice that you can find it you can find a skull Pottery shirt or an emerald again not a new feature but it's nice like me you might find a gunpowder or if you're luckier you might find the minor Pottery shirt as well as the prize Pottery shirt or a TNT I mean this is the TNT update and now we officially have a new way to find it right TNT because Tails and Trails you get it right anyway so with that said the 47 feature it has to be these big guys right I love floppies they are such ridiculously cute mobs and honestly every Minecraft update needs to have one of these we need gameplay improving ways to you know make the world a better place and more useful and blah blah blah but we also need Derpy face camels and I'm glad this update has you know managed to get the both of those things in there but yeah the desert well also has its own set of loot which you can find under and around it but inside of that you can find two brand new Pottery shards as well as suspicious stew sticks bricks and emeralds again so if you want to get emeralds no longer do you have to trade with currently alive villagers you can steal from their dead relatives which is what I've been doing in my family for years speaking of stealing from dead relatives say that in a video speaking of stealing from dead relatives you can do this using gravel as well suspicious gravel is a brand new thing you can find and you can find this potentially in Ocean ruins if they are cold this is pretty great and bold uh because in fight side effect you can find four other new Pottery shirts do you see this how different Pottery shirts are hidden in different places if you want to find a particular type of pot you need to find a particular place in your Minecraft world if you really want a wooden hoe then go precisely anywhere else but if you really wanted to get it underwater then now you officially have a way to do that but that would be a waste in my opinion then we have the warm ocean ruins which has its own set of stuff including the sniffer egg which I guess we're gonna have to dive into a little bit later but it's really fun to see that right but now let's show you the trail ruins which is something you only see exposed in a crater I know a lot of people saw the early snapshots and not a lot else but this is an incredible structure which as you can see has uh you know a lot of uh Beauty to it it's definitely the most um put together structure in Minecraft the most in need of improvements you might say but this is deliberate because this is an archaeological find that contains all of these brand new Pottery shirts which are loots in their own right but also an item you can use to craft beautiful pots you can also find brand new smithing templates you can find candles you can find all sorts of weird loot across your Minecraft world I don't know whether you'd necessarily want to find all this stuff it feels like inventory filler to me but you certainly want to find these and you probably want to find these as well and just in case this is your first video and you're wondering why do what you want all these Pottery shards what is the point the point is to make decorated pots these can be made with just bricks and they'll look like so but you can also use any of these Pottery shards if you really want to and you can craft your own pot which will be almost certainly unique there are 160 000 combinations I apparently a missing one there are 160 000 combinations off these because there are 20 unique pot shirts and you can use them in any order and so when you make a decorated pot you are probably making one that no one around you none of your friends or family have ever seen before and so you can tell specific stories this is about is this a mushroom that is uh this is a weather mushroom that is on fire and so you have to fight it you can tell all sorts of weird Tales of previous times if you want to or you can just make dope looking pots it's your choice speaking of dope looking pot that's what you'd have to be on to have this bad a typing ability and it used to be that when you saw a sign this bad you just have to break it but now science can be edited by right clicking or left trigging on them which means you can go through and you can say gotta fix your spelling mistakes here this is a 4 out of 10 job adorable hoe you gotta do better next time and you can go through manually and you can fix your worst spell checks or if you want you can uh you know if you if you actually disagree with something you want to say like well you know I really don't like the way that he wrote dark oak in the UK we actually spell Oak like this uh fun fact very little known so that is now something we can fix that is a true fact don't look it up that is how we spell Oak anyway speaking of spelling Oak uh the oak uh hanging sign is really nice by itself but what about the spruce hanging sign these are signs that can be held not just in One Direction by the way but you can take it down and then you can put it on the side of something just like this so you can see this is one way this is another way and then you can also if you really want to be fun you can put it on the side of blocks but hanging from the side just like this so there are lots of ways you can hang these signs and in fact they also work as a fun like I guess almost parkour element because you can physically stand on them as long as they have this top post as well something I absolutely uh find swell honestly so the spruce hanging signed the oak hanging sign sorry it's uh there's just a typo here sorry to be so unprofessional not spot that in the video the Birch hanging sign the bamboo hanging sign there's there's new hanging signs for every type of wood including if you can imagine it the cherry and the bamboo wood which is really nice I mean again if you look at these hanging together they just look so beautiful and I'm never gonna actually see these as signs and write things on them I mean what else is there to write on them besides vague threats about subscribing uh certainly nothing that's what I would say so yeah that is the hanging signs uh one of the first features they announced this update one that a lot of people forget but it's one you shouldn't sleep on and just in case you're curious as to how you get them it's not a regular sign the regular sign is this thing right here um just to prove that to you this is a regular sign a dark oak sign and uh that's placed on the wall like so but if we try that with a hanging sign which is crafted like so then it will look like this because hanging signs and regular signs are very similar yet distinctly different distinctly different is also how I would describe this guy one of the weirdest mob designs we've seen in Minecraft and you can't even be mad the community voted on this because we thought that sniffing up archaeological plants would be so great which is something he actually does do so the sniffer can be hatched from a sniffer egg that is something you can find in warm ocean ruins um and you could also if you're playing creative just use a snippet spawn egg you can see these are two distinctly different items because these are the only way to find your first sniffer in survival as you can see it starts like this and then slowly hatches it reminds me a lot of a Yoshi egg like in design and I love that it's a dinosaur sort of I mean vaguely and as you can see he's just fetched me some torch flower seeds what can you do with torch flower seeds you'll be mind blown to known that actually you can grow a torch flower with them what does a torch flower look like this thing this is a new source of orange dye but more realistically it's decorative flower and the picture pod can be grown in dirt too and this is like this a new source of diet but more realistically a pretty too high plant I like the look of these things I find the look of this guy to be something that I will not talk about because instead we'll be moving into the next section smithing tables have now been changed in quite a serious way there are three slots not two this third slot requires a trim no matter what you're doing even just upgrading your gear to never right thank God we did it before the update is going to require a new smithing template but these smithing templates come in lots of styles do you want to see all of them well first of all wait have you noticed my armor do you see how I've got lapis lazuli armor on right now that's made possible by these new armor trims so armor trims come in lots of variants but there's also a new smiffing template called The Never I upgrade this can be used alongside diamonds and uh rather alongside um you know like the Diamond Tool and also the navri Inga to upgrade yourself right to neverite tools which might be great for making stuff like this um if you're curious about um what you can trim armor with any type of armor can be trimmed and it can be trimmed with any of these 10 variety this leads to the number of armor trims being measured in the in a number I can't even say it's just too big damn it it's so many what how would you even start reading that number out but that number of trims exists in Minecraft and so as a result you can see wow look how many different variants we have personally I have a few favorites I really like the Vex armor trim it looks super smart I really also like the dunama trim because it's got the nice eye on it and realistically the silent summer trim is one of the rarest but also one of the best when you trim your armor with silence it looks more like the trim than the base armor this is actually a gold chest plate not a Lapis chest plate as you could probably guess from the fact that there is no lapid chest plate but yeah the fact that you can trim any armor and make it look this incredible is why silence is incredible um actually waves Lance is so incredible then the 109th feature in this update we are still going is the piglet head this is something that is certainly as good as sliced bread and it's obtained in the exact same way as all of the other Mop Heads besides the dragon head and the wither skeleton head which is you get a charge creeper to blow up the mob however the 110 feature is the ability to play that sound with a note block which can be used for dumb trolling like this or maybe just for a fun noise like this or you could do silly things like this wait did the skeleton make a piglet noise [Music] it did right weird anyway oh I see what happened there there's a skulk sensor hooked up to a you know piglet head on top of a note block which means anytime anyone moves it makes piglet noises allowing you to jump scare people and also a really cute way because look at the piglet head and how it moves honestly wait you know what this is a side track time to talk about the piglet head I only have an orange Square for my head which means all I have to do is take this very beautiful thing put it on there and I can show you one of the best things about this not only do I look like a piglet but look at my ears sway as I walk is this not the best part of the update okay no it's not you want to hear about real features fine 111 has to be the block of amethyst transmitting vibrations from the sculpt sensor you could use these like over there and you could transmit the vibration that way or you could use the calibrated skulk sensor which can do some real fun things speaking of fun things if you've been annoyed by the sound of these these skull shriekers maybe it would help if we water our skulk Shrieker wow now that it's waterlogged it can't breathe and there are no choices coming out but I like that explanation you know I can't breathe so no more noise if that's what it takes then that's what it takes speaking of things taking things I want to show you something amazing slimes and magma cubes are now affected by leaping which I'm gonna regret doing this but where did he go I genuinely don't see where he ended up there he is okay so now that slimes are affected by leaping they can do some really dumb things realistically you're not going to give them a leaping potion I hope but if you wanted to you could have a lot of fun speaking of a lot of fun the camel was here if you haven't already mentioned it but he's super cute uh the Chisel bookshelf is here and it brings with it the ability to store enchanted books or regular books if you really want to on bookshelves just like so uh so you could have a set of you know bookshelves over here for defensive enchantments then we could have a water-based enchantments over here if we want to and being able to do that is oh so fun because you can pick where on the Chisel bookshelf your book should go want the book to be next to each other you can do that I want the books to be above each other you can do that too the world of book art is now available to people and should you play around with it the answer is I mean is it gonna do much for you yes it is it's gonna be great speaking of great things there are four new music tracks on this update a familiar room romiliad Crescent dunes and echo in the wind there's a new main menu Panorama that is something we're going to be seeing on the update release date for bedrock and you can see it already for Java isn't it beautiful and then finally the 120th feature is that this update is not the Wild update I cannot imagine an update in Minecraft's history that's had as much of a poorly received uh you know like a end as the world update did and uh the reason for that is because a good update was going to be made but then uh Mojang realized that a good update would be poisonous to frogs and they had to make last minute changes to remove all the good content from it but uh more seriously I think the fact that this update is better received by the community is a very good thing for the fact that it means that more of us can now enjoy it together so Java does have a lot of exclusive additions and you can pause the screen here if you're a Java player but for better players which is where we are I want to mention the shield banners is huge crouching parity we can now finally go over 1.5 block gaps it is so surreal to me to see the Crouch animation like this it feel is wrong but it's something we can get used to and also there's a nice new death screen wait what's what's gonna happen when I should have seen that one coming and it go it gives you this great third person view that I actually really like and uh yeah oh wow I'm right over here it seems this is something that's really nice before considering the free new Bedrock achievements Java has some advancements it's worth mentioning which are very Loosely uh mentionable was like well they're sort of like the achievements but obviously achievements are generally more sought after because they're con you know that they're like account wide as opposed to worldwide speaking of things being worldwide if you want to subscribe to the most worldwide Channel then I guess you'd have to find it first but if you want to subscribe to the only place uh where you know greater than 99 of house fires don't happen to you then the ibx toy cat channel is the place for that I love uh that this world was built with adorable hoe with great assistance in both the building and the editing from Harrison gray thank you so much to him and to both of them they're helping me out with this because I love
