Alison Hammond Goes Swimming in Brighton as Restrictions Ease | This Morning

[Music] we hope you're enjoying another day of glorious sunshine forecasters have predicted that parts of the uk could reach 24 uh centigrade today british would make it hotter than uh santropay and majorca oh that's so exciting alison hammond is making the most of the warm weather by heading to brighton beach look at that for some restriction free fun what are you getting up to alison oh holly phillip i'm having such a wonderful day the sun is shining blue skies i've got sun sea and sun between my toes it's absolutely beautiful for everyone who's worried about me don't worry i've got my sun factor on as well i'm having a wonderful day in fact today i'm going to be showing you around a few amazing spots around brighton which are opening for sporting events and as you can see at the moment i'm here at yellow wave sporting facility and as you can see all the volleyballers are out raring to go and having a wonderful time so all morning i have actually been practicing my skills but first before i get on the court i want to talk to the lovely cater here who's the owner of yellow wave it's so lovely to meet you what's it like to be back babes we're so pleased and what a day for it is so lovely it is so so lovely now you've been playing are you feeling fit are you doing well healthy i'm like absolutely puffing and my arms are red because we've not played for three months just like everybody else you believe it's three months and this is the very first stage time first day we're back on court and everybody's we're not normally this busy but actually beautiful sunny day first day back after lockdown and we're delighted to get all our players and community members come over here go and get back on there and what does it feel like when you look around you look at all the people here what does it feel like for you and your family oh it's really like you sort of feel a bit well that because it's really special moment because the players here are a real community of people and sports so important for them and for us um so to get them back on the sand is just brilliant okay so i'm so happy for you now i have been practicing all morning you're very good i never wanted to live in brighton as much as today because i feel like i'm in uh hawaii it just feels amazing i'm going to get on the court uh uh do you want to watch me watch my skills because i don't know if you know but i'm one of the best sporting people where's the ball where's my ball there we go right check out my surf first of all i'm not even messing the road all right get in close here we go right yeah go on kate oh katie didn't get it come on okay here we go oh here we go here we go oh yes hey watch my skills watch my skills honestly it's the best thing i think these these facilities i'm just thinking volleyball should be everywhere because it's exercise but you don't feel like you're doing exercise you're just having a good time i'm just having such a happy time thank you guys it's the best day this oh he let you down uh now throughout today's show alison hammond is taking us on a tour of all the exciting places that have reopened this week well for her first stop she decided to play some beach volleyball great success and now she's having a go at crazy goal but you good at this as well alison holly you know i'm good at everything can i just reference the fact that how good am i i've got an outfit for every single such a lovely day guys honestly i feel so blessed and so privileged just to be out and about in the fresh air here in brighton brighton is just the best place ever sun sea sand blue skies it's absolutely lovely but listen as you know i am a professional golfer i take my sports very very seriously so let's take a shot am i going to get it in in one obviously i am let's have a little go let's get into position holly is it a yes or a no yes i think you're going to do it ruined in two it's a hole in two hold on yeah oh it's a hole in three hold on it's yeah yes thank goodness but listen come with me thank goodness come and meet harry this is harry hoffman lovely to meet you harry you've got a manager here how good is it to be back babes oh it's amazing you know it's it's as you already referenced it we've been so grateful to have this outdoor space you know the sun the sea the sand and then now everyone gets to come out and have a bit of fun as well in the sunshine and you close it down just for me because there's no one really around they've got one one family over there is it gonna be open more people like it just reopened yesterday um you know we've got a cafe bar as well so we've had that running through the lockdown and that's been great just to keep ticking and have people able to come in somewhere and get a takeaway in terms of the course we've just taken the opportunity to renovate the whole thing oh have you done that in lockdown yeah we have we never usually close apart from christmas day so to have a few months suggest free space uh to put into new water features and fancy new holes so well it's a crazy golf course is it crazy though it's crazy well i'm gonna carry on playing let me carry on let me do that one over there you shoot it off and thank you i'm gonna do one more because i'm absolutely loving it i so needed this vitamin d today i really did i'm having such a great time did i get it in did i get it in let's have a look where is it oh what is this oh yeah it's crazy golf i've just got soaking wet from some voodoo situation over there i don't know what's going on but listen back to you and again and again i'm gonna move out the way i'm absolutely soaking my shift i was gonna take you to a lido later but i don't need to no after this look at this what is this sorry oh allison back to you in the studio i'm having the best day ever day ever that was voodoo it looks like you know sort of easter island or it could be aztec aztec it's an aztec thank you very much we'll see you in a bit well i'm going to go off to the lido now go on we've been enjoying the beautiful sunshine it looks like alison hammond is doing exactly the same uh so she's uh she's down on the coast oh look at this isn't it beautiful holly and phil i'm having such a wonderful day you guys have surpassed yourself on today's morning i've played volleyball i've done a bit of crazy golf and now i'm here by the pool now welcome to salt dean lido everyone's come out in fact they were supposed to be closed until may but they decided you know what we want you to come back there was such a high demand uh they opened up a little bit earlier two months earlier in fact and as you can see everyone's out some people are not distancing because obviously their families and stuff like that uh this is normally um this is 40 meters and you want you won't believe this but it's actually heated not very many lido's are heated so this is heated lido is it is it cold ladies just like you should come and try michelle what's it like to be back in the pool this is amazing i'm so happy to be under the bright blue sky with the sun out in this gorgeous floor my favorite place to go amazing and collette um have you missed it what have you missed the most oh i've just been able to do something other than walking i'm so over the walls who's over the wall we need to get swimming now what about you though do you feel like you're on holiday cause you look like you're in the bahamas all i need is a cocktail in my hand and i really feel like i'm on holiday i haven't got cocktail vines and unfortunately i'm really sad because i haven't got my cossie unfortunately but i can't no i can't come in no i can't come in because i haven't got my cousin it's one of those days um we've run out of time unfortunately they just told me so i can just dip my toes no i think we have i think we haven't run it we're still on you keep going all the way in still still here thank you see you later bye still on you still watching he's gonna get hated
