Alex Honnold - Three Classic Films

so when you meet Alex Honnold you're gonna be like huh this guy is the bumbling dorky awkward goofball you have girls in here a lot girls in here a lot until he steps on the rock and then he's literally doing the the hardest biggest free solos in the world moonlight buttress feels very exposed so little of your body is actually touching the rock is all air ragged oh no hands knee bar baby then he climbs a North Face to have them without a rope there isn't anything else that requires that kind of concentration for that length of time with the penalty being certain death if you make any mistake found myself like 1,800 feet off the ground I just had this like mini nervous breakdown the big objective is to solo the triple now Watkins Oh captain and half now the three most major walls in the valley in under 24 hours it's outrageous it's not free climbing it's not egg climbing it's by any means I'm scary walking Han Solo terrifying nobody get out he is writing a chapter in history right now I feel like I should have a disclaimer on this you should not do this even though I love it and I think it's so fun to traverse the entire Fitz Roy Massif Ridgeline he's got to be one of the coolest things I can think of Tommy told me that he wanted climbed the Fitz Traverse I don't even know what that means exactly never had much interest in Alpine climbing I don't know how to use ice tools I don't like being cold but uh how bad can it be the most interesting part of the day was Florida crevasse this is no place for joking dude this is extreme LP there is a lot of snow there's Tommy send in the NAR this is gonna be so rad dude this is the kind of thing I see an elf in this magazine except we're actually doing it pretty epic camp set up oh wow do you check out the shadow we're about to climb to the actual summit and this is Alex's first climb ever in Patagonia which is pretty freakin rad alex is a beast there's no doubt about it you can make anything happen
