Air National Guard || Day in the Life || Living out of a HOTEL

all right you guys so this is my first attempt at a vlog so this is vlog number one um and it happens to be kind of a really good time to be vlogging my life because i'm living out of a hotel while i train with the new hampshire air national guard more to come on that but basically they put you up in a hotel for training if you live too far away from the base which in my case i do and so i'll be living in a hotel for the next four weeks so i'm gonna give you a tour of my house and kind of what it's like to live in a hotel they didn't really give me um a kitchenette so we have this beautiful king-size bed a couch which has all my stuff on it which happens to be a pull out bed so hit me up if you want to hang out and a beautiful window that kind of is sketchy because it literally looks out onto the front of the building and then this is the desk which is being converted into my kitchen um there's a mini fridge and a microwave of course a television and i'm on my way to walmart now to get a hot plate so i can have an actual stove we have this beautiful very large probably echoing uh bathroom and it's sort of a sub kitchen as well i decided to convert this half into the kitchen this half into more like the bathroom stuff and then there's obviously a toilet lots of towels and a walk-in shower which is quite large all right guys so i just got out to my car um it's actually a super beautiful fall day out here and it's really actually kind of nice and um it's really pretty early in the morning still but i'm on my way to walmart i just made a list because walmart can get super dangerous and i'll probably leave with things that i don't need um i also decided to do my grocery shopping at walmart which is maybe a little sketchy but um i don't know i'm going there anyway might as well get it all done in one hall double chin angle so i'm on my way to walmart so why am i up and about why am i here what is going on so with the air force you can do a part-time option which is called the air national guard and that's what i've been doing for the last five years and it's been pretty incredible basically what they expect is that two weeks out of your year you can dedicate some time to them and so i do that every summer fall time frame i'm on night shift though so this is going to be four weeks where i work from 3 p.m to 11 30 p.m but super exciting i get to hang out with the guys um i make money while doing it so honestly it's a good um also there are a million speed bumps in this parking lot there's a compilation all the speed bumps as i exit the hotel [Music] that was it all right so i'm in walmart and i'm filming and trying to shop at the same time uh which is a lot harder than i thought and i feel very uncomfortable and people keep staring and just shout out to uh liza koshy and emma chamberlain for doing this for all these years and making it look so easy because i am so uncomfortable um anyway peanut butter time for some jelly get some bread get the out of here okay so this is why i came here this is the main reason i came here it was for this the hot plate that you can use virtually anywhere it's like having a mini kitchen at your hotel room here's the deal two choices i'm gonna pick one get out of here because they don't have a lot of good groceries i just realized something kind of great they serve breakfast in the lobby so like 10 in the morning so there's an option right there for food even though i just bought half of the grocery store with food all right guys real talk walmart is not a great place to go grocery shopping because they don't have like fresh food so i couldn't get chicken and they didn't have my milk i'm gonna go to the real grocery store tomorrow and get the rest of the items but for today i got a lot of the essentials hopefully they all fit in my mini fridge also bought the hot plate that i'm gonna set up on this desk and i can start making food i just dragged all that up the stairs i'm sweating to death the initial phases of living out of a hotel it's very challenging there's so much that has to get done i'm really glad that i can be here for an extended period of time and i'm not checking out on friday because this would be insane i think we're off to a good start i'm gonna unpack my groceries make myself a snack and head to the gym and then head off to work here's my grocery haul again missing a couple items because i need to get those at an actual grocery store but frozen veggies sandwich meat chicken sausage eggs some tea cereal peanut butter and jelly i also got some bread [Music] so pretty much if you can get yourself into any gym and you can work out for any period of time it's beneficial it's probably beneficial for you but let me tell you something this bench is the most uneven wobbly thing i've ever dealt with so those are extra hard all right so my workout's all done so i'm going to make some eggs chicken sausage and toast and just get a really good meal in and then i'm going to uh clean up and get ready for work so that's kind of what the rest of my day looks like work is from 3 p.m to 11 30 so um that's going to be kind of the majority of the rest of my evening i'm going to set up my cooker and kind of test that out and see what meal prep is like in this hotel room [Music] okay so i just got my little cooker set up it's super easy i just plugged it in turned it on and then turned on the dial it's just taking a really long time to heat up which is kind of annoying i bought the more expensive one hoping that that wouldn't happen and it just it seems like it's taking a while so yeah i'm a little concerned but it's okay uh we'll see how this all goes um kind of smells like burning plastic too but i'm just i'm fine i'm fine everything's fine okay kind of starting to sizzle just this just does not look good all right it's really starting to sizzle now starting to take a little bit of color which is good got my eggs ready to go i'm just going to throw them in scramble them up and make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich uh pour myself a glass of water and enjoy this final result still looks kind of terrible but i promise you it's very good it's sweet apple sausage three eggs peanut butter jelly on a multigrain bread and i'm gonna pour myself a glass of milk and i'm super excited all right you guys thank you so much for following
