Ahrefs Tutorial Part 5 - Rank Tracker

hey guys in this video i'm going to teach you how to use the ahrefs rank tracker stay tuned [Music] so i'm inside of my ahrefs dashboard and i've clicked on the ranks tracker tab and right away i can see the project that i created earlier if you haven't created a project yet uh go ahead and just click this new project button and go through those steps answer all the questions about the website you're trying to track so i've already done that here for my website and i'm gonna click into this to see what i can find in the rank tracker so previously i added these keywords and you can see here uh it is in fact tracking my position in these searches now uh if i want to add more keywords i'm just going to click this button up here in the top right and i can add them here and if i have a geolocation that i want to specify i'm going to put that up here if i were to add a keyword now it's going to add two keywords to my list one of them is going to be for all of the united states and one of them is going to be for fort lauderdale florida where my business is headquartered so i don't want the entire united states so let's say graphic yeah sorry it's very cold in here graphic design and let's just leave it at that so i'm going to add this keyword once this is done loading it's going to take me back to the rank tracker dashboard for my project and i'm going to see this keyword added to my list and it's going to give me information about my ranking and information about the keyword itself so if i scroll down to the bottom here you can see the graphic design has been added and i can get all kinds of interesting information about each of my keywords so if i were to click into this it'll show me my positions if i were ranking somewhere that uh hrefs could index me it would show me a lot of interest interesting information here it's going to tell me what kind of serp features i have so i have site links for this keyword because this is my brand name so that's pretty common i also have images in google images that are ranking uh for the for my brand name so that is the rank tracker there are a few other features that you can explore but uh i find this fairly helpful i don't report on rank tracking i i don't find any rank tracker really to be very accurate so i never really report it to my clients it's kind of scary to report rankings to your clients because you may see a very high ranking with your rank tracker but in reality their ranking may be much lower or much higher than what the rank tracker says it is so i would look more at the organic traffic that your cornerstone pages are getting to give you a better understanding of how your how you're ranking because ranking depends on many factors geolocation being one of them but also search history demographics device those sorts of things affect ranking so i hope you guys found some uh benefit to this video i look forward to hearing your your comments and below uh please like or subscribe if you got some benefit to this video and i hope to see in the next one thanks [Music]
