AFK Journey Tier List Review: Are These ACTUALLY The Best Heroes To Use?

hey everyone Mt here and I wanted to do a bit of a tier list for AFK Journey rather I want to go to the pride win tier list and I want to let you know if I agree or I disagree with any of the choices that they've made in these tier lists now the table mode shows you the early mid late game all these things and so what I'm going to do is I'm going to look at their rankings and I'm going to tell you if I agree now just to conceptualize or give you some context here I played into the very endgame of the PTR or the beta tests for this game I got my characters to 240 and Beyond I pushed the very endgame I beat every single AFK Mission I grinded I just did it passively I just I just liked it I didn't talk about it much I didn't make any videos on it because it was still the PTR but I really enjoyed it and I actually am am making content for this game I'm going to make multiple videos on this game all right uh so let's get started I want to talk about all the different characters and and to check out AFK Journey for yourself but uh let's get started sisia sisia is the first legendary that most people get because she's guaranteed in the first 10 pulls all right she's a guaranteed unit for your account and I would agree early game mid game late game she is an S tier uh Pusher for the story for all the campaign stages for the AFK stages she's absolutely insane now in some of the bosses she is passable she does some decent damage but she's not going to be an absolute God and in the end end end game you want the god tier dream realm units because that's how you get some of the most rare resources in the game to progress your account further I would agree she's amazing you should use her there are situations where she will carry you in the beginning but she does fall off in some of the dream realm stuff and then in PvP um there are situations where she's going to get picked off before she gets valuable but she is still very good if you have Rowan I'll talk about Rowan later uh it makes it a little bit better because she gets her ultimate sooner but I think this is pretty fair sisia is a good unit so I'll just start with that good unit would use highly recommend getting copies if you can good unit Val Val is on the current banner and I know that people are going to be very interested in if she is good I think she's a good unit but I'm not sure I agree as much with this now she can kill people in the backline and she can stop them from using their ultimate the only issue with that is I find in the mid to late game of the story The positioning of the units doesn't play into Val's hands they have these weird situations where where the the the healers are in a in the middle like a smokey or they have different ones where I just don't think she's as effective uh but in the early early game she can kill their healer and then it's just an easy fight same thing goes with PVP P I think there's situations where she absolutely pops off but I think she is a unit that needs multiple copies to really shine long term overall she can do decent in the dream rail especially necro Dragon because she moves around a bunch for me I'm not investing into vea or Val I think she's a good unit but for me I just don't like her play style as much she's not someone that I really care about maybe I'll regret that maybe I'll eat my words good unit not for me as for huan huan uh is a very good healer for most of the content pushing as well as in PvP she definitely shines but she gets a lot more valuable with copies the reason why is because she starts getting damage mitigation when she heals and it's an area of effect full map heal so it doesn't matter if you're in the backline or if you're one of the uh damage dealers on your side you're still getting heals she's a little slow to ramp up and get functioning you need people to survive for her to really start popping off and getting those heals but once she starts healing um if it gets to that point you've won the fight essentially so that is the good thing uh would recommend Riner s+ s+ s+ s+ s+ Riner is the best unit in the game I do not care what you say Riner is the best unit all day of the week 100% guarantee it every piece of content you want Riner if you don't pick him from the the the stargazing if you don't buy him out of the guild shop you're throwing as for Thoren s+ S Plus plus god tier unit Thoren is an amazing unit especially when you start getting his specialty weapon uh because he starts just being this like IM mortal being he is so good the best tank in the game for almost all content in the game and very good in the dream realm as well the reason why um he can come back to life and so with the kroer boss he dies and then he comes back which is amazing because uh then it forces the boss to use its ability again on him I don't want to get into all this semantics but he does things that other people cannot he's very sticky on the battlefield highly recommend um as for Rowan we've got the S pluses in the early game okay late game in some of the the bosses in a and then PVP s+ I think this is very safe uh overall the reason why is Rowan gives you energy early and with that energy uh you can get your ultimates off Rowan is a highly recommended unit especially in PvP because if you get your ultim off usually you win the fight and he makes other people more op he makes Riner more op he makes sisia stronger because she gets her Golem on the field right so Rowan is a highly recommended unit but the nice thing is you don't need a ton of copies if he does get more copies he gets better but I think Rowan is one of the best units for a single copy in the game I happen to have multiple copies and I've got them at Mythic and I can definitely see the value but it is a nice treat getting one copy your own can be a game changer uh vein he's good early on falls off if you get a mortal uh with his ultimate and if you can get his ultimate off he's great but a lot of times he dies before his ultimate would not recommend investing in vein whatsoever as for Brutus uh highly agree in the early game his s tier in most content he dies too quickly but that being said I want to make a note of this he he goes Immortal and when he goes Immortal there are situations in the mid to late game pushing that you can only win that fight because of Brutus in my opinion uh because he goes Immortal he will survive longer than some of your tanks and so I would highly recommend if you have a copy of Brutus and you can't beat a level try it just throw him in and see he's kind of a a cheese character uh overall but you know that that's kind of where I position him uh right now I'm just going to I'm just going to go down here a little bit I'm going to scroll down Corin um you can see corin's rankings are very very good unfortunately I'm not investing in him currently and I I kind of I kind of wish I was but there's only so many units in the game there's only so many uh characters that you can build Corin is very good in the end game uh dream realm stuff and for that reason he's good because this is one of the most important things in the game Corin is someone you should probably throw on your wish list I have Lucius because I'm trying to get multiple copies because I I just I keep getting them I just keep getting from all those little purple things I get him I swear every time and so I'm in this weird limbo where I'm just going to try to max out my Lucian first or Lucius first and then we'll go to Corin later but Corin is a high recommend I would say put him on your wish list no matter what Leica uh again I think this is like pretty spot on I'm actually really impressed with this so far uh she's very very solid I think she falls off she does some pretty cool Buffs if you get multiple copies of her uh she can give your team like aack speed and all this stuff Leica is solid but um I just think that long term there's better DPS units overall Smokey god tier Smokey is busted Smokey makes the game so much easier in so much content uh would recommend everyone use this unit I mean I wish I had him on my account right now and I don't but um I can also understand um there are some fights where he doesn't function there are some PVP maps where he doesn't function there are some situations like um well he's not on he's not on here yet he's lower down but um iron or irion or whatever his name can completely mess him up uh CIA can kind of mess him up uh vea or Vala depending on your placement can mess him up there's there's a few different units that can kind of screw him but Smokey is god tier uh Brian I thought it was Byron is it Brian ran anyways um I think that he's he's like I've never loved him I've never felt like he was caring as much uh I don't know I you know what I'm going to say this is probably accurate but I haven't really fully built him and got him to the S ranks um he can revive with his ex weapon I actually didn't know that cuz I've never built this guy I think it's probably Fair he he he's he's he's probably Fair he's probably good if you build him but I just haven't granny Daphne um I think this is fair she's pretty good in the content pushing because she can heal and she's pretty sticky I think she kind of steals energy uh I would agree she's she's kind of better in PvP than some of the other tanks uh just because if she if she starts getting her ultimate off it can really mess up the battlefield so I think that's good she's like a good unit would recommend viperion um I would agree with this stuff he can get very juicy um with with the the AOE damage um I think that if you've got enough healing and can keep him alive he's pretty darn good he can pop off in the arena uh I would agree vian's good I've got him on my wish list I want multip multiple copies I think he's pretty good as for OD ODI is god tier if you don't know what OD does he poisons everybody and then he instantly kills units he gets so much better when you get more copies that yes in the mid game in the late game he's even more valuable uh in PvP he's insane because he instantly kills people he he stops your their healers from really functioning because a unit just blows up and dies um highly recommend OD would put him on the wish list if you don't buy copies from uh the dream realm and you don't have them on your wish list you're throwing a little bit walker uh I actually have never really built this unit because he's he's like a newer unit in the PTR and I just never really built him uh I've heard he's fine passable at best Lucius not highly rated did but I just have so many copies of him I should probably move on from him Lucius has kept me alive in some situations where I should probably be dead and if you have a bunch of copies he's a fine tank right not everyone's going to have Thorin so I think that yes in the early mid even into some of the late game stuff he can still function but he does kind of fall off I can already tell a little bit uh merily yes story not good this is where you want her merily Mar whatever you want to call her is a must put on your wish list you want to Max her out as soon soon as possible I think OD is more important and then you want her just because OD is better in in more situations but she is a god tier unit you want to get her up uh reys trash in my opinion I think she's the worst character in the game she moves around a bit so you can I guess do necr dragon I don't like her abilities it's kind of like random Fire I think she's trash Tamia uh I do not agree with this at all I don't agree with this at all the only way I would agree with this is if you have huan uh who's able to heal or something I feel like Tamia just doesn't uh I don't know doesn't feel tanky enough doesn't do enough damage doesn't bring enough utility um can kind of knock people around but I don't know I've never had my tsia pop pop off for me I I think it's it's just not I don't know maybe I haven't got enough copies but tsia is like an a tier at Best in most stuff for me I think B tier in some situations did not like this unit at all but hey their rank here pretty high necr Dragon S Plus snow stoer maybe they know something that I don't um on Tandra I think that on Tandra is a very good tank and if you've got Smokey if you got Coco on Tandra uh really solid um I think yeah uh probably falls off on Tundra uh I think definitely falls off not great in PvP I would agree not great in any of these things but uh a pretty good pushing unit Coco I feel like Coco is getting the good ratings here when you start getting copies she's amazing would highly recommend you build I I think that this one is very fair I would definitely agree with more copies starts becoming more valuable so you don't get one banged in some of these uh pieces of content in the late game and yeah valuable for the bosses can be kind of trolly and PvP with the survivability I like it uh Shakir I think that's it's probably fair I don't love him he's kind of just this like life steal Bruiser kind of unit better than better than Brutus for sure uh overall but Shakir um I feel like either pops off or falls off if you know what I mean like in some fights just just doesn't do enough but uh pretty decent uh dianel never built dianel this is a ranging unit um can have pretty crazy damage overall pushing content but not as good as Riner it's just you're dumb if you don't get Riner so it's like yeah I'm sure you're good but yeah uh sorry can't recommend sylvana sylvana is actually someone that I am picking up on my account just because she does something different and I think some of the other uh kind of a tier Heroes for the grborn are currently kind of weak sylvana is mostly going to be used for PVP in a situation where I can nuke a character and that's pretty much all I'm using her for she she's just going to be used for that but she's not a priority because I can't use all my acorns uh on her because I need to get my uh Thorin and my sishi Ops so she's pretty good I think she's she's got some situations in PvP and uh and nuking like a Healer but uh she's not a priority overall okay as for eigor eigor is very trolly he's able to stay on the field for a long amount of time if I get a copy I'll probably use him uh even if he's not built really well he can stall for such a long time that it allows your DPS units to uh survive eigor is a good unit I would build him if you have him uh if he get copies he can get crazy for sure but I think eigor for me is not someone I'm prioritizing on my account right now I'm just going to uh kind of skip out and and avoid him for this moment in time scar um I would agree very interesting in the middle to late game uh because scar essentially makes your tank unkillable they get half of her stats and she just makes them super tanky uh I would agree that in PvP very good because you can throw Thor out there he just doesn't die or you can you can tank up different units uh would highly recommend you try it out if you ever get a copy but again if you don't Max Riner you are dumb so it's hard to recommend scar you're not going to get a copy really uh ever uh until until you've got Riner it just that's all it is um I'm surprised that Sana is here as low as as low as possible she does like this HP key burning type thing and uh she actually has done a lot of damage in here so either prideinn has not tested her as much as I have or the The Meta has changed since the last PTR stuff that I did but centana was actually like kind of a a good pickup in the dream realm maybe she's not meta I mean there's only so many slots you can have but uh if you got a couple a couple copies hanging around here's what I'll say throw her in and just try it in the early game and see if she helps out your team do more damage just to get that extra 2% that extra 5% you might be surprised there are going to be some situations where uh when your characters aren't all maxed out Mythic and Beyond she might actually do a crazy amount of damage for you so something to pay attention to uh Fay falls off not good her heal is like a kind of area and people move around not a good unit would not recommend I agree uh Muriel big AOE you can user for some of the solo Crucible stuff but again just doesn't bring enough value to the team parissa again not enough value highly agree not that great Cassidy um Cassidy has a magic defense shred so when paired with someone who is doing magic damage that is a bonus um so Cassidy is actually has some value in the dream realm depending on the comp you're using like ODI I think the poison is Magic damage so uh Cassidy has some potential but I think in a lot of the content she's like not that great overall but the shred adds value because the the further you get into the game the more defenses they have the more valuable this is uh KRON I would agree not a great unit can be used to kind of one bang people at the beginning of a fight or or like really chunk them down but the further you get to the game the less that's viable um so yeah not great uh nairu I think cheese comp potential but this is when you've got everyone at Supreme it's it's a Cheesy thing you can get everyone Immortal when you use Rowan uh I I would probably agree in most situations he feels bad so I just wouldn't focus on him if you want to cheese someone down the road you can let me just scroll this one more time I'm going to have to kind of move my head uh a little bit uh Seth uh I would agree with some situations he pops off some situations he's really good because if an enemy Target loses some of their HP he starts getting a bunch of Buffs and if you can provide any other Buffs if you use Riner to teleport him into the backline and and give him the healing uh there's situations where Seth can pop off and like actually one V5 the other team but the situations are not uh it's not going to be frequent enough for it to matter uh burial again bar or whatever you want to call him um just get Riner I like I I'm just telling you this is an assassin unit he's fine he's cool shifts around the battlefield but this is like the lowest priority because you go Riner and then you would get SCAR or the do guy or die or whatever don't get this unit sorry ardan I don't know I've never built ardan I don't plan to build ardan maybe they're fine but probably not worth your time uh Damian can be very trolly uh the thing about Damien is can kind of blind and disrupt people which is cool multiple times he's sending out his cart that will take Agro and then it dies but then he brings it back so he's essentially a multi revivor Damen is a very good PVP unit because he's a goddamn troll Damen is a big troll and I love it overall healing and stats are like fine they're not the most thing it's mostly just like an endgame Damian maxed out Damian uh that provides some good heals and utility and PVP would agree with this uh Carolina Carolina is someone that gets better over time gets better with copies way way better with copies and you can see s+ in the end game once you get more copies S Plus in Arena especially when paired with iron both of these units are the same thing you can see here both of them are kind of ramping up into the endgame s+ s+ s+ s+ completely agree uh mostly for you know fighting waves or doing actual PVP they're not great in the dream realm stuff but these are units that down the road when you've been playing for 5 months then you start building them and using them and they're going to be really good for you but it's going to take time it takes so much time to get them up and running so I know that people hype them up and it's like well the sooner you start pulling for them the better I'm sure but I am going to be at like AFK stage 700 when people that are pulling them are going to be at AFK stage 400 and there's going to be situations where like they'll probably pass me or they'll you know they're good they're good but I just I don't think that it's something that I'm going to prioritize Krueger this is is someone that you don't need a ton of copies of you just got to make sure that he stays alive get enough copies to get him to like kind of Mythic but obviously with more copies gets better and is an end game unit um for the dream realm which means he's valuable dream realm is the most or one of the most important things in the game so highly recommend um Atlanta trash tier overall very very bad Lamont is the worst character these are these are s-rank characters Lamont is so bad he's terrible um I don't know I just it's in PVE missions he's the tankiest thing ever when you use him he's squishy it's trash uh salzer cannot get uh enough abilities off kind of feels like vein just doesn't bring enough to the table so there it is overall if I look at these tier lists I agree there might be some situations where uh someone's like a little bit better like valot like honestly like this is going to be this is early game mid game so they're they're moving around they're changing around right they're all changing around in a different spots um I think that like most of them are pretty accurate if you look at all these different things there's not many units that I would I would I would move around or I'd shift around um this is the most important thing though look at the dream realm look and see where people are functioning look at your story mid your story late but these three are are kind of the main things because you want to get your AFK stages up you want to complete complete the story because completing those things give you more polls so that you can get your account up and running and PVP is something you do on the side until you you know can can further your account and it it's very important because it allows you to buy units but um I I don't know I I think you need to I think you need to just like get levels and and level up your characters and Ascend them and if you're not pushing AFK stages your PVP team is just going to be lower level than everyone you know getting dupes of everyone happens because of the story and so PVP is kind of like something that inevitably will happen long term and you can definitely look at it and consider it
