AFK Journey F2P Progression Tier List (Wish List Guide)

hey everyone uh I wanted to do something different today I think that the pride win tier list is pretty good but there's one thing that's not really explained in here while it does say early and mid game and late game and dream realm and and where things are good it doesn't explain why in a lot of cases and there's a few things on here that are misleading if you look at this tier list you might see Carolina and it's like oh my god s+ tier in late game and she's an S Plus tier in PvP I should get her but it doesn't really explain that you need you know six copies of her and you need six copies of another person and then six copies of another you know it it it's it's one of these things that if you want to progress your account if you're a free-to-play player I think I would play the game completely differently than what you might expect from this tier list there's a few units on here that you can tell right away Coco seems pretty good yep crazy uh OD seems pretty good yep crazy there's a few of them that are on here that you can guarantee on your account you can buy them out of the shop you can progress that way so there's a lot of ways that that this tier list is accurate 98% of it is accurate but I want to go over what I would do my wish list who I'd be pulling for who I'd be buying from the shop if I wanted to progress as far as possible let's get started so I'm going to go all the way through light rers MERS Wilder all that and explain why so with the srank heroes in lightbearer it's honestly not that important I have the tank because he can be kind of trolly in the dream realm in necr dragon and can give you some pretty good numbers but honest ly uh you could also use Cassidy cuz she's got a magic defense shred uh which is also very valuable you can use it with anyone that does magic damage and that's pretty darn good but it doesn't matter too much the only one that matters is Rowan Rowan is a very cool healer because he gives your team energy highly recommend even just one copy of Rowan obviously every unit in the game gets better with more copies uh but just one copy of Rowan can be kind of trolly and very good in PvP overall um so that's good but I'm going to move on really quickly to the light bear A-list Heroes because these ones are the cream of the crop Marley or merily gets better with ranks everyone does but she is exceptional getting crit damage attack speed attack percentage scaling ramping attack damage she's crazy she is the best damage dealer or second best depending on the boss uh damage dealer in the game period very important so highly recommend getting copies of her the other one is Corin K is good in all content um he's he's really Shifty he does a lot of great damage he immobilizes targets but he has this really interesting crit rate crit damage passive and he has guaranteed Critical Hits uh so he's a very interesting unit but on top of that he does true damage based on the percentage of the boss's HP which is nuts it hits so hard highly recommend you do those um as for the other Heroes uh you could you could try to get some of them but for the most part you should never take these two off until they're maxed as for MERS uh once again the only one you really care about is Smokey and honestly if you rerolled your account and you got Smokey uh you're probably going to be able to push much faster and further because a lot of the early game progression the MERS are the best uh very good I want to explain why but Smokey is a very good pickup and uh I honestly kind of want to reroll and do a free-to-play count and and just try to get Smokey as for the other ones it doesn't matter too much um I'm going with him because I feel like he's the best longterm if I get copies it is what it is but Brutus is a cheese unit used to um tank for a little bit there's some situations where uh Brutus can let you win a fight because he just tanks all the damage for 5 seconds uh but honestly all the other ones are pretty bad reys is trash she is so terrible uh lumont is bad as well a very bad tank overall would not recommend so that's what I would do as for the A-list Heroes this is something that I want to discuss OD should be on here first always do not take ODI off ever until he is maxed because ODI um instantly kills enemies poisons them does amazing damage in every situation could be used in any content S Plus tier highly recommend however in the early early game when you're doing your first polls you need to pay attention to who you got copies of if you got copies of Coco maybe you put uh her on here Atlanta to or whatever what artand oranda whatever her name is the tank because she's a really good tank if you need a copy of kruga for the dream realm you want to maybe just switch these ones out to have a couple of copies but for the most part I would recommend the tank as a priority the reason why is based on her rank she will get exponentially more tanky and actually be able to survive and allow you to push content um Coco gets better as well very very good if you put her on here as well you're still going to progress you're going to do amazing but I think that the tank and the ranks are important but that's going to depend if you get like Thorin and you get a a different tank you could take her off and then I would focus on Coco but you don't know what you're going to get so you're going to have to kind of make your decision here those are the two I would recommend so I'll just leave it at that as for the Wilder uh I want to explain this one so I already got the the Healer on this account so you know I would probably put the Healer I'd probably put these two on a brand new account or I would put Granny on here uh but iron or Aon he is god tier in the end game but you need multiple copies so my thought process is well I'm just going to put him on the on the wish list to hopefully get that eventually hopefully get him up in online eventually um Granny is a a decent tank can be pretty good but I think that the the best character here is huan because she's a really good healer overall as for the the a rankers Damian is probably the the best pick if you care about PVP because he's um he's a a very like annoying healer and you can either do uh Leica or Arlin because this guy is a weird DPS unit in the end game but um both of them are pretty solid I would probably just do that it doesn't matter too too much because uh they're not really used for pushing a lot of content but the graveborn is important so everyone gets a copy of sisia and she's very very good and you can go all in on sisia I will not cry I will not question that decision because that's what I'm doing on my other account I have almost a supreme CIA CU I just keep getting her but the other argument is I want to have the best account long term so I want copies of her sooner rather than later to get her up and running and functioning right so um Carolina is very good in the end game and and very solid in PvP but honestly either one is going to be good I I don't really care um as for the other one it has to be Thoren if it's not Thoren you're throwing he's the best tank in the game once you start getting a Mythic plus he is essentially Immortal he's super good as for the uh the aless heroes they're kind of bad they're all they're all really bad overall well they're passible but I chose Silvana so I have a pocket pick for PVP that's literally the only reason she's on here and the only other one I care about is viperion because he can do some pretty darn good damage in PvP and and some of the waves that you know you just need some AOE damage the other ones are are kind of bad like there's not a lot of situations where he pops off this Warrior guy is pretty bad bad and then nairu he has some cheesy comps but he's just not great I would rather nuke the enemies and kill them uh in this comp first uh versus anything else I hope that we get some new Heroes here eventually so that's what I would do overall if I look at progression if I look at the tier lists I think that it's very accurate but if you want to progress the fastest here's what I would do all right looking at my account I have pretty much the setup that I would want you want her as a tank you want OD on the team you want Coco and then you can have another DPS or a tank uh and then you need some sort of healer the optimal would be Smokey because then I'm getting one two three bonus um then if you start getting Riner and hypogen units you can throw them in there but these three units at the very beginning are absolutely Paramount to your success you've got a tank you've got a a healing unit uh the more copies you can get the better just going to get more value out of these units overall and uh this is this is going to be a game changer for you and then again ODI absolutely insane unit long term and then Coco works everywhere as well very good support unit and so you've got um you've got some choices do you need more damage throw them in if you need more tankiness throw them in but these are going to be the core units for your progression in the early game and if you had Smokey it's just the obvious choice you've got the four MERS right off the Hop and and that's kind of what I want to do I want to reroll I'm going to do some polls right now though um I've got some polls I want to discuss this you get a lot of polls early on if you do the pre-registration you get 10 polls but you get these these other 20 polls right from the start so you can find out very quickly did I get Smokey or not on top of that there's a lot of codes there's like 4,000 gems in codes so you can do that and you can find out really quickly did I get that uh Smokey but I want to warn you I want to do one thing is if you are going to reroll and start a new account and do this free-to-play journey when you do a character switch if you're going to make a new character once you've done it on that server I can't make another one on this server and so right now um this is the newest server in the game maybe in a couple hours there will be another one but I can't do another one on This Server so you can go back in time and do these ones but you have to understand that these servers are going to be 10 hours 12 hours a day 2 days uh ahead of you so there's not be as many people you know running around doing corrupt creatures at the same time some of them are already in a guild you are behind people in uh when you're getting your first hypen or Celestial unit like Riner PVP is going to be harder it's very recommended that you just start on a new server the newest server possible and that's what I'm going to do I'm just going to kind of refresh this until 276 does and then I'm going to start a new account there so we're all starting right around the same time uh to get that Advantage overall if you go back here and you're playing against these people people like I think my server is like 19 you are playing whales you are playing people that are so far ahead of you you will get crushed in every piece of content uh all the PVP is going to be garbage you can't win in the dream realm and be the best player in the dream realm you can't get those rewards for being in the top 1% your account will get neutered long term so you have to make a new account that's all I'm going to say uh I'm going to kind of keep my eyes open and and try to play on 276 uh and I think I'm going to make a free to-play account to kind of progress and and show you unless I pull smoke right now on this account okay so I'm going to do a couple of polls I've got a few polls right now I'm going to do uh whatever we've got here and hope for the best I'm about to get uh Another srank Hero if we grab Smokey then we'll keep this account because it's already started pretty good with my A-list Heroes all right we got a four bang here what did we get trash pole unfortunately um I didn't get any of the the MERS you want to every time you get an epic you want it to be a merer every single time time if you can it is what it is I'm not going to cry about it uh so that didn't work out for me too good uh let's do another 10 pull I'm just going to use all my diamonds on this and just try to get uh Smokey and as many mullers as possible oh my God a double pull okay that actually is crack cuz we got other other kind of four stars if we get a bunch of MERS that's good so we ended up getting CIA we got Corin which is good but this is a situation where I'm like kind of tilting because I would love to get Smokey instead and I don't want to invest in sisia that much I I really don't she's on my wish list I thought it was going to be Carolina I thought I saved that I didn't save it so that that is just a a throw I completely just threw uh it is what it is we got a couple of these maybe we'll get really lucky we're seven away I'm probably going to roll though I just want to roll I want to I want to get some different units I want to get Smokey um just because he's he's kind of crazy in the early game yeah that's it have a good one I'll
