Advice To My 24-year-old Younger Self Feeling Lost In Life

not knowing where you're going and feeling lost at this age should be exciting not scary as you don't have much to lose stressing about not having a plan it means that you'll miss out on the amazing experience of not having to have a plan and trying new things if you find it hard to motivate yourself to do the things you think you're passionate about then you're probably not as passionate about them as you think you are you don't actually find out what you really love doing for another couple of years so just treat everything up until that point as experience just a heads up though you're passionate about photography and video making but you just don't know it yet so get yourself a camera sooner rather than later it's okay to fail and you will fail failure teaches you lifelong lessons and it prepares you for the bumps and the road further down the line without failure you'll miss out on things you can learn and therefore never reach your full potential when talking about failure there's that well-known saying that comes to mind it is better to have tried and fails then to have never tried at all and it's very true stop trying to impress other people and stop looking at what they have or what they're doing you never know what's going on behind the scenes in people's lives and who cares if Jim has a Porsche you don't even like cars what looks like other people's success now doesn't look the same see further down the line people achieve success at different points in their life just look at the colonel he didn't start KFC until the age of 62 and now look how many people are enjoying his finger licking chicken don't give up on things that don't seem to work straight away follow your passion even if it doesn't pay very well and don't get swayed by others opinions if you're good at what you do and you love your career choice the money will eventually follow start posting on social media today and even though you say you will never in a million years start a YouTube channel because you're worried about what others think you start making videos for at the age of thirty anyway so just get on with her people will always make fun of you when you do something that is out of their comfort zone and so just don't pay attention if you stick with it and it starts making money they'll be the first ones who want to know how you did it as you do make a career out of social media further down the line start now so you can give your 30 year old self me more if I had start and I'll be ever so grateful the one thing to always keep in mind is that you are in control of your life and you can take it in a new direction at any time you choose you don't need to rely on anyone else other than yourself [Music] but for now enjoy yourself and stop putting so much pressure on having everything figured out at the young age of 24 so go have fun and go and live your life you little scamp I don't want to scare you but you're still pretty lost at the age of 30 but you're okay with that you
