In Premiere Pro, we can use the Warp Stabilizer to remove unwanted shakes from our shots and make them steady and smooth. A lot of people know this already. But today, we'll learn two hacks related to this effect that a lot of people don't know about. The first hack will solve a major problem. A lot of times, Warp Stabilization doesn't work. When we apply it, a weird wobble appears. To tackle this, we can use three solutions. First, go to Advanced Options, go away from Fast Analysis, we can select Detailed, and by reducing the Smoothness parameter, we can choose anything between 3 to 10. If Premiere was trying to stabilize the shot at 50, it will now decrease. This increases the chances of wobble disappearing. But in some cases, these two fail. No matter what you do, the wobble will come. A lot of people then replace the shot, delete it, or leave it as it is, if it is the only shot that they have. In that case, use Brahma Astra. A secret hack that works almost every time. But before that, like this video, because this hack will blow your mind. As we all know, this effect analyzes the shot and identifies the shakes first. If there is a movement in the shot, to counter it, this effect will send the frame in the opposite direction in the same pattern to achieve stability. So if our camera is moving in this pattern, Premiere will apply some counter movement like this. If our subject is close to the camera and it is also moving, then Premiere considers its movement as unwanted shakes. It is not able to separate our subject from the frame, it is not able to differentiate between the two, and considers the subject's movement as unwanted, and goes to stabilize it. And that's why we get wobbles. To solve this, we have to separate the subject from the rest of the frame. Select your clip, come to Effect Controls, from Opacity, pick this Pen tool, I will draw a mask, which will cover only these two. Do as much as possible. If you don't know the basics of masking and its creative uses, I have already made a detailed video, you will find the link to it and other videos in the description. I will draw a mask and invert it, so that these two disappear from the frame. Now just because our subject and camera are moving, we have to track the mask, so that they are not visible from start to finish. For that, we need to activate this mask path stopwatch. I won't do automatic tracking through InOptions, because in this case, I didn't get such good results from it. But maybe it works in your case, I will track manually, it won't take much time. How do they do automatic and manual tracking? And how can we add creative effects with it? I have covered all that in the masking video. So as you can see, I have removed the subject from the shot. A little error is fine, if something like this comes, it will work, not a problem. Now I will right click on this clip and nest it. And then I will add the effect on this. Basically, we are tricking Premiere here, making it a fool. By removing the subject and nesting, Premiere will think that this clip is like this, there are no two people in it. So Premiere will stabilize this video, considering only this much frame. When it is finished, go inside the nested sequence, disable the opacity effect to get your subject back. Come out and there you go, our hack is working perfectly. It will be even better if we reduce the smoothness to maybe 25 or 30. Now an important thing, when we bring the subject back, Premiere will see changes in the clip. And that's why it will give the option to reanalyze. Don't press this. By returning the analysis, the old data that was used for this, will be lost. And in stabilization, these two will be considered and bubbles will come back. So do not press this. So that was the first hack. Comment and tell us how you are feeling after knowing this thing that no one has told you till now. Now before going to the second hack, let me quickly introduce the sponsor of today's video. Hitpaw Video Converter. Hitpaw is a company that is specialized in AI and its mission is to provide effective tools for everyone. You must know that in Premiere Pro, we cannot import MKV format video files because that is unsupported. But with Hitpaw Video Converter, you can easily convert them to MP4 or MOV or any supported format. For resolution, you can select same as source. That means if your video is in 4K or 8K, it will come out in the same resolution. Or you can select some other option from this list. It easily solves the problem. And the best part is, this entire conversion is lossless. Because of which you won't see a drop in quality. You can also convert audio formats to one another. Through batch processing, you can convert more than one video to the same or different formats. Now let's say that the size of your exported video with editing software is very big. If you upload it on social media platforms, they compress it in a very dirty way. And because of that, there is a huge drop in quality. So before posting, you can compress the videos in this software. Our original is 4.9 GB. From here, you can select the output file size. And you can see its estimation here. If you want more control, you can click on this settings icon. If we upload all this on social media by ourselves, then Instagram and YouTube don't compress our videos as heavily as they should. Because of which the quality doesn't degrade. This software has even more great features. Like here, you can do basic editing. And here you will get more next level tools. Not just for videos, but for images and audio files as well. Like Vocal Remover can separate vocals and music from any song with the help of AI. Background Remover uses AI to remove the background from the images by keeping only the subject. You can then export it as PNG. Or you can add a solid color or a custom background to it. So this software is very useful because of its multiple functionalities. If you want to explore more features of this software, you can download it from the links in the description. For any type of exports, you will have to purchase a license. Now let's get back to our video. Hack number 2. Let's say you are a solo filmmaker and in your majority shots, the main subject is you. Because of shooting on a tripod, there won't be any natural movement in the shots. But you want to mix it up. In some shots, you have to add a handheld movement so that you get the feeling that someone else is filming you. A lot of the times, this handheld movement can also support the story. If your character is in tension and is feeling uneasiness, if there is some chaos going on in his mind, then through cinematography, the shakes coming from the handheld movement can put the audience in an uncomfortable vibe. Now, if you are sitting to animate your shot through position keyframes, it will take a lot of time and the movement will look very robotic and unnatural. So the best way is to get a shot whose handheld movement you like. Right click, Nest. Now apply the Warp Stabilizer effect on it. So if your camera is moving in this pattern, Premiere will apply a counter movement like this. Once stabilized, go inside it, delete the reference clip, and keep your static tripod shot. Come out and don't click on Analyze because we want to apply this counter movement on our tripod shot. If you click on it, it will fly away. Play this and you'll get a realistic handheld movement on your static shot. Make sure that the duration of your shot is equal to or less than the reference clip. This is because, let's say your reference clip is 5 seconds and your tripod shot is 7 seconds. So we will have data only to cover 5 seconds. The remaining 2 seconds can be problematic. So that is it for today. Thank you so much for watching. Keep creating, and I will see you in the next one.
