Adorable little Ewok puppy

this is Joey and he's a 12 week old Shih Tzu puppy today I'm going to be giving him an introductory to grooming and some tips and tricks to use at home to get your puppy accustomed to grooming stay tuned if you need a boost in serotonin levels let's get you tired out so that you're good okay let's get you tired if you guys want to know the quickest way to tire out your little small breed puppy it's by doing this oh yes get the broom get the broom little pup we are going to make you nice and tired so that you're good for your trimming okay I'm also establishing a little bit of a relationship with him so that he doesn't just think that when he comes here it's all about grooming you can think okay maybe I have some fun too little Joey oh you little crazy Joey oh you got it oh you got it so he is 12 weeks old Shih Tzu puppies are so freaking cute I can't even begin to explain shih tzus in my opinion are one of the easiest dogs to have they're easy to train they're very laid back they don't require a lot of physical activity they are great for people that just want an easy pet they are also great for older people who maybe don't have as much energy to put into a higher energy dog I think Shih Tzu's a well-bred shih tzu is a great addition to a family oh yes you're going to be very tired I'm going to keep doing this until he stops chasing it because that will tell me that he's tired so this might take a little while first we're going to start with nails I have some liver treats here for him to kind of distract him he is not he does like the liver treats but he is not super food motivated so hopefully look they're right there hopefully he'll stay really distracted good boy good boy very good boy look there's more on the ground he says don't touch my Paws please sir I must give me those little nails please I'm gonna try to distract him using noises and see if that helps [Music] oh you're so cute again I can't take it yes there's treats keep eating them be distracted there look oh you cute little thing I can't take it only a few more nails good boy I think the most difficult thing to do is probably going to be his eyes boy you little stinker okay now I'm going to shave his little peepee hairs look smell the Clipper what's that yep you ready oh there's still more to be shaved I'm going to need you to participate okay so now he won't pee all over himself now we are going to try to do your eyes so I would like to use Clippers you're gonna follow your little stinker but he is going to be nervous for the sound I assume okay we give you love you little freaking nugget I can't I can't like just let's just take a moment are you going to be a little Menace when you grow up are you going to be a good dog oh my freaking God how are we gonna do your little face monsieur let me touch okay let me touch good boy good boy yes my hands smell like food you want some more treats more treats more treats for you can I shave your little paws is that allowed I can tell that this has already been done by the breeder that's a sign that he came from a good breeder who made sure to take care of him before he went to his new home I love to see that okay we're just doing it doesn't even need to be done I'm just doing it to get him used to it get him used to the sound let me see this little foot please these are scissors that are rounded at the tips in case he moves oh you're being really good you're being really good what a good boy good boy Joey yeah that was so good we're not done but it was really good I was having a little bit of a bad day today for absolutely really no reason and then this puppy came in and now I am extremely happy so thank you for boosting my mood little man okay can I do the other eye now let's see oh no let me see it can be CBC good boy good boy good boy good boy are you cute huh are you cute man good boy good boy okay I gotta get these hairs off of here because you think they're food will you let me get in there with the clippers because that was really what I would like to do [Music] oh good boy good boy good boy okay let's try with these scissors because these scissors are going to be much better come try this again let me see nope must stay foreign good boy what a good boy you are okay now you can see you you wow yeah you can see distraction there you go good boy he says ma'am I would just like to get the treats on the table please leave me alone one more foot please good boy so on a shih tzu you are going to want a very good Slicker brush and you're going to want a metal comb in order to brush through them properly he's just a pup he's got no matting obviously just came from the breeder okay look at this can I brush your face good boy what a good boy he was really really good I'm sure he's gonna be fantastic when he's older and now we're gonna have some puppy play times right he already had a bath last week so we're not going to bathe him today but next time he comes in he will get the
