A/C dye injector to find a leak on my wife's #ND #mx-5

so my wife's Miata has a AC leak here so I wanted to show you guys like what we use here so this is a tool that we bought this is uh we filled it up with the refrigerant it's about a/ qu ounce that's usually more than enough for most cars cars and trucks actually so you got to turn on the AC and have the compressor kicked over and we're basically going to screw this on and inject it in so we got it hooked up and all you got to do is just basically hold the hold the body and screw this down and it'll start adding the dye now if you're wondering if it had injected basically look at that you'll see that there that there's that the Dy in it and that there's really none in it so as far as like excess right so like I said we put a/4 ounce in so that's quite a bit so if it wasn't injecting through this then it would definitely be uh like filled to the brim here so now we just let the car run for about 15 to up to 45 minutes and then we'll hit it bring it in the dark and then we'll try to find uh where it's coming from all all right so I had to add some refrigerant here um it sucks because it's a little bit of a waste of money CU we're going to have to vacuum this back out but the compressor was cycling on and off and there's just no way so now we got it fill it up just enough to get it to to run the compressor uh we'll let it run for about 15 or 20 minutes or so and then we'll go come out here and hit it with the UV light and hopefully we can find wherever our leak's at so if we don't find our leak though on the exterior we're going to have a problem because that's going to mean that it's something on the inside and I'm hoping it's definitely not any of that so I guess we'll find out it is all right so if you look here we've identified the leaks if you can see that there's that neon green right there that's from the die so we've got a little bit of leak right there obviously this valve core is going to have it because this is where we ejected it but you can see that it's bubbling up so that tells me that this this core is also leaking as well and the last leak is actually from this one as well um if you can see there so our leaks are pretty minuscule fortunately enough there nothing major so we'll go ahead and get those fixed and we should be right as rain
