Got AC leak? How to find AC leaks inject UV DYE to find Leaks Any car or truck

got this honda civic uh customer said ac keeps leaking they keep recharging it keeps leaking so what we're gonna do here is customer got tired of it going to this mechanic and uh we got ourselves a little kid that's been sitting around but i do have an ac machine so they just recharged and it's been running the ac is running making cold but it lasts the customer about two to three weeks and it dies off so we're gonna add uv dye in it so we got this little kit here there's a number on this kit if you guys want to find this about like 125 bucks a kit and uh works really good and it's gonna come with glasses and everything that you see up in the front is going to come with a syringe the whole system the line is going to come with this light right here this is called the uv light ultra violet light and if you take these glasses okay as you can see there's nothing here there's nothing here you want to go all around you want to check everywhere okay everywhere on these lines you want to spray this light everywhere and uh and if you shine this light you you're not gonna see a really good like that unless something has leaked out you also want to go in the bottom here and check the condenser over here okay i will catch it let's see if i see something and we will check that baby out you see that that's how this looks so it's gonna allow us uh it's gonna allow us to inject uh you ultraviolet uh dye inside so i had more than one kit that's why i have extra glasses so it's gonna come with spares so pretty much what we're gonna do here is uh we're gonna take our line here and you're gonna take off this low side you're gonna take this baby okay let's not put this on yet so let me set up my camera because if you put it on now it's gonna start to spray out so let's get this thing straight there you go we're gonna take our line here we're gonna take this if you need to fill this up all you do is uh you push that thing back and you fill this baby up so what we're gonna do here is let's not open this side uh yeah we do need to open this side and we're gonna put this baby on i'm gonna get a smaller leather rag i'm gonna clean this up it has a little bit of a dice sticking out of here so let's clean this baby up so let's see if you can manage to find something on this baby you do need to run the car probably for an hour or two hours so go for a drive or let the customer or you yourself um go out there and driver on so you can uh get around the system use the ac system and it will shoot out spray out or come out from somewhere take your time if you can't find it on day one try it again you know give it a date and let's back this baby up a bit so what we need to do here is we're going to take this on the low side and you're going to just turn this guy so it can push so we're going to go from here one two three lines we're gonna go down so it's really gonna put about a teaspoon in there or a little bit more than a teaspoon and that should be more than enough more than enough that works for me always so let's take our camera to that side off here and we are gonna it's gonna shoot pressure though don't get scared that always happens to me once the cat just say i'm gonna show you how you how you uh push this into the valve so what we're going to do here is hopefully the camera can see it and the camera can see it but not so good but anyways we're going to go from here to here and there it is and you're gonna pull this off have your rag ready and uh you're gonna see a big submerge right there and uh what we're gonna do here is we're gonna take our cap put the cap on so don't forget the cap but notice we already checked here uh it shouldn't be leaking there and uh what we're gonna do now is we're gonna run the car and then we're gonna come back and check it okay so we drove around this vehicle it's back and a good 35-40 minutes so we're gonna dig is we're gonna take our little guy right here we're gonna turn off our light on the camera and we're gonna put these cameras we're gonna put this camera with these glasses and then we're gonna take our uv light okay what we're going to do is we're going to start off right here um uh most important what you want to do is you want to check the bottom because most of the time this condenser takes a really good hit rocks and stuff so you want to check any open areas and just go around with the light all over all around but i want to show you guys there's a reason why i went down here first there's a reason so there's nothing to see over here and uh i put my finger over here rubbing my finger to see what the hell this was so as you can see let me get my uv my light is kind of probably low on battery or so there you go and as you can see look at that spray okay my light keeps flickering but look at that that's the mess you're gonna find but this is not the leak the leak is down here you see that you see all that is spraying up is squirting down a bit so if you have successfully found the leak you also want to go all around on all these lines joints everywhere at the end you want to go everywhere you want to go everywhere you want to check on top of the ac compressor okay don't see much there there's nothing there but this is clearly a big leak right there which will leak in on probably a week or two weeks and uh it's common it's common okay this stuff is common over here but anyways there we have it guys that's how you're gonna find your ac leak very easy and simple there's no um saying that you're not gonna find something like this okay anyway
