hey there boys girls of the youtube world today duff dog and i are gonna see if we can't get a 1962 ford four-wheel drive running [Music] uh picked this big orange rig up here a couple months ago out in eastern montana turn so pretty dry but at the same time cowboy country so it's kind of whammy in every single panel wow let's uh take a look so this here is a 1962 ford f-100 factory four-wheel drive half-ton looks like it had a winch on here at one time you can see where they nitchied out the cross member here for the old power takeoff shaft and then this is where the winch would have mounted looks like that was some kind of kit maybe it was homemade it's been off the road since 1983 so yeah 38 years duff that's a lot older than me and you we're gonna see if we can get it running it's got a y block under the hood i'm assuming 292. we're really good with y blocks so this ought to go swimmingly there's i just i don't know where to stop and start on the whiskey dance in this thing they're just everywhere it does have a little lobster left in her windshields fubared the mirror's still on it fenders are tailed in by ginormous screws spare tire mounts been welded by ray charles via the feet oh it it broke there so they just kind of braced her up a bit real nice it must have been a crank off something and that was a bolt at one time wood floor she's seen better days once they have a spotlight in there at one time you know worms like that i wonder if it wasn't a state rig or something it had 17 and a half inch wheels on it when i got it uh none of them held there so i just threw these white spokish looking wheels on here for now with 3110 fives they don't look they don't look horrible but not a white smoke guy so i think the 17 fives are gonna be pretty freaking sweet if anybody's got a spare 17 and a half inch wheel five on five and a half volt pattern five lug hit me up comment down below or uh check out the description got my email down there get a hold of me i need a spare wheel it's got quite the add-on rear bumper package here you got plenty of room to have a dance party over in there tailgates held on by hopes and dreams look at how neat the safety chain is right there yeah you just hook your safety chain right on that or you drive your chain through there and then it just drops down and falls right in there what do you think duff oh look at stainless steel bolts holding the license plate on back here fancy i was looking at this one i was pushing it in this thing has been through so much torture that it popped every single one of the spot welds out where the tailgate curls over kind of neat being a long box step side pretty much all the long boxes that i see are fleet sides the latches need some work tail lights are busted they did a lot of brazen in their patching days which is cool i can respect that seems like this box side is they're a little bit deeper taller than standard halftones i don't know i don't know much about these can you guys let me know what i'm missing on this thing but as far as rust goes this thing is good i mean there's a little bit of rod down there but not bad let's let's take a look at the inside and off oh yeah door opens nice solid in the step area i think that's our tailgate latch fuel tank behind the seat somebody tried setting a fire in here had a heater anything good in there spare points oh yeah there is always spare points and they're always used i used rotor oh that might be new okay quit smelling me i wonder what what there is that for your vent levers window cranks are there what's this what is that oh your screwdriver holder stanley better hang on to that somebody used a dull chisel to put a stereo in it got a four four-wheel drive lever looks like it's got two wheel drive four low and four high i believe it's a divorce transfer case and she's a four speed on the floor oh yeah headliner's a little saggy it's got the midwest seat cover yeah i know you like it i'll go for rye later hopefully a little more brazen up there they might have actually done some bondo work after that one passenger side of course is beat up more than the driver's side if this thing could talk i bet she's seen some stuff why are you wagging your tail it's it's got to just reek in there don't it duff hey keys are in it good to go it does have the hazard flasher emergency knobber on there i don't know if that's i think that steering wheel stops with something else how many miles duff 64 000 i don't know is that 164 clutch ain't too worn i would say that's just 64 000 really hard mild a little rot in the cab mount floor there area floors seem okay we'll find out when we crawl underneath it seats seats a little chewy hondoff no hey don't don't chew on that goober what's back here what's back here anything good antenna nope nothing good visor for how to run your four-wheel drive i'm sure they had a really sweet tack in there one time so you could get all the rpms out of the old why block jeez it's got a custom door handle doors open and closed pretty respectable pretty respectable duff let's get the hood open and inspect under here this hood's she's tough got the chrome squirters for the windshield wipers stainless wipers oh yeah how does that happen grill's pretty decent-ish they didn't even weld it in there oh there is a little rust in the hood we just need to find an orange hood you got an orange hood let me know so i think i determined all the damage to the hood because it's it's just really had a rough life and all the inner structure is completely torn loose and they tried bronzing it yeah i don't know how that happens we're gonna have to do some welding probably find a hood anyway there it is the glorious y block it's got the script valve covers on it ford so you know what you're looking at it's got a great big two barrel holley oil bath air cleaner the obnoxious wrap over exhaust manifold it's been patched with a little heat tape i'm sure that's just fine oh look at that thermostat gasket that's homemade fuel pump's been replaced still got a generator on it no power steering no power brakes it's got the canisters type oil filter yet what are you eating something you found in this pickup i'm sure eclin voltage regulator yeah she's pretty bare bones got the easy to steal solenoid up there on the firewall well oh yeah that's that's the good stuff right there based on what we saw from the last y block i think we're going to pull the valve covers off before we even try turning it over just to make sure the rocker shafts aren't seized up and then if those look okay or if we got to take them off i think we'll pull the plugs out and spray some lube down the cylinders because i do want this one to run i don't i don't want to have to find another y block these things are hard to find and i can't make them run so this should be great okay pull those valve covers off good news took her top off [Music] and i like what i see also got spark plugs out sprayed a little zap them in the cylinders plugs all look pretty good nothing too suspicious in there they all match so i mean there's that you know they're all sooted up a couple of them are kind of rusty of course they're the ones in the back water wants to run downhill i haven't tried to turn it over yet i think i'm just gonna let her soak for a while underneath yeah she's she's pretty farmerized the pto is missing it's got a glass pack no tail pipe i'll give you a tour under there and you know there's a heat tape on that side well this side yeah i feel like we're just gonna need to run some stacks right out the hood with a couple of tank tanks on there you know what a tink tink is you know like the tractor's got to go tank tank tanks now you know it's real nice yeah pretty clean underneath the valve cover not all sludgy definitely not rusty so we might have a chance at this one what do you think duff nap time he says all right next thing i guess see if she turns over so i shot a little zeppelin down the cylinder throats last night before i left so after sitting there for about eight hours hopefully it just did its thing and now it's just gonna purl like a kitten but first thing i do is i'm gonna go underneath put my bar on the teeth on the flywheel see if it turns over you guys keep an eye on that fan blade hopefully it turns so it's weird about these pickups is the battery is below the floorboard where in my unibody it's up on the firewall so i don't know if this four wheel drive only fail but it's got the hold down and the heater hose preventative rub maintenance look at how solid the cab mounts are oh never mind they got some rot that's got a glass pack and it's not even held up with mechanics wire looks like the taillight wires need some tlc a couple of fancy repairs on the bed floor oh look they mounted the bed with wood classy ford man this thing is seeing some things look all those dents and the shocks from bashing through the pasture oh of course they've been torn off and patched the diff housing is all beat to crap from gravel and whatever this was wow this sucker's had a hard life is that oh man look at that diff she's been all welded up those are all weld beads going across there cripes does this guy even have a spine that drove this thing you know that side ain't all welded up oh my goodness i'm sure they welded that nice and straight lock oh look at that handy dandy hitch they got back there uh i'm guessing the diff is going so we'll still try getting it to run but that's gonna be an issue oh boy you joints are tight though now we know why they parked it oh look at that yolk's been welded on oh my gosh mechanically this pickup is a disaster how about the front [Music] we're good we are good looks like that front drive shaft's a little sloppy in the splines how's this one well that one's pretty good i'm guessing the transmission's got a little leak to her you can see where they see where they cheated out the old cross member for the pto shaft that's where the pto would have bolted up and ran up to that winch look at that sweet trust that they welded onto the front div so i'm guessing they exploded a couple of those before they had that figured out god this poor pickup that was a rough few thousand miles she had oh yeah yes now we're gonna put our wrench on the teeth see if she turns over see so there's no inspection cover that was easy to get at no holes in the side of the block that i see so that's a plus come on man let's go oh yeah ouch go back the other way they say okay that's moving a little ways but trying to rock it back and forth because it seems to be sticking after i don't know 30 or 45 degrees but my spring came out of my flex plate tool so better fix that so pull up the battery cover out of the floor on the passenger side drop the battery in there hooked up the corroded battery cables didn't see any smoke so let's hit the key see if it spins over oh starter bendix great as you can hear the starter bendix isn't engaging starters turning over but engine's not getting tied to it so guess i'll have to drop that out of there and see what we got going on there we're pretty familiar with this you can go check out the orange chevrolet truck that we drove home from the farm we had to do a teardown on that one for kind of the same thing so oh i can't imagine that mouse poop and grain hurt the bend at all just something they do they get sticky and they wear out great so here's our starter motor i noticed there wasn't a top bolt in there and now i notice the ear is broken off so that's good i think these were kind of a semi semi-common starter motor in these fords here's your starter bendix or your drive you might call it and that's what it's supposed to be doing is as it spins it's supposed to sling out like that but it's not well we got it engaged but it won't disengage so we're going to take some zap and get it all lubed up you don't want to dry drive well the [ __ ] thing won't disengage let's get a hammer these fords are bass backwards you know what chevy it goes zing and it shoots out forwards and all they pull it in whatever forwards so we could hook a battery up to it see what it does now if i keep my fingers clear of that chewing it off like an alligator and we touch this she should go zinging the problem is it's not disengaging it's causing that duff why don't you go back it does not want to kick out i'm gonna see if i got another one of these starters laying in my collection because this one clearly is busted up anyway or at least a better bendex so threw a different starter on there good thing that we never got that flammable y block going so we had a donor see if that alleviates our bendix issue here we go now that we got her turning over let's see we got for spark we're gonna do oh yeah i'm gonna go get the loser switch see if all the push rods seem like they're going up and down rocker arms and such well i found an issue over here we should have noticed this a while ago oh yeah we got some valve train issues so here's the issue that um push rod ain't supposed to be like that that does look kind of fresh so maybe we had a stuck valve there i could have caused that i suppose well the rest look okay let me get this one here it was way down there i don't know how that even happens but i guess we're gonna have to get a magnet see if we can't fish it out of there then we'll check see that those valves are moving before we put any of the push rods out of the flammable y block that y block tried burning the shop down but it's the gift that keeps on giving so we got our whale aid push rods out of there and i don't know if there's really any way to prevent this sort of pulling the head all apart and cleaning everything up it appears that this valve is really sticky same thing on the other side and it just fought that thing pushing it down to the point that it bent this then when it went down that won't come back up so let's spray some zeppelin on there and get the valve loosener out because that's mortarkey's favorite thing to do i just bumped it over until it started pushing the intake valve open and this is the exhaust valve obviously there's never going to be two valves open at the same time so now we know this one should be closed so we should be able to tap on it and the spring should be pushing it back up and it's just going down and not coming back up i suppose we'll have to get the pry bar now why is it valves for me all the time just always valves maybe we should spray down the rest of them too huh good idea these old ford flathead valve removal pry bar two leos mcdabbers they work pretty good for persuading valves that don't want to do as they're told this freaking exhaust really ford got it i just stuck my bar in the spring there gave her a good pry and she came back up i'm going to give it a liberal dosage of zeppelin and then whack on it some more just so that it don't do that again hopefully i don't know what it is about hitting valves with hammers it's just so satisfying now we just got one more to do until the rest decide they want to stick as well of course this one's i don't know what number on these fords exhaust on number two so a little bit further back a little harder to get in there to pry on i got it figured out though maybe a hook bar is the answer just get on in there oh boy this one's real angry there we go hope i didn't bend the stem and that's why it's binding up we'll just keep working it see what happens finally got them all duffers so after diddling around with this gosh darn thing for i don't know how many hours last night i sprayed the everlasting dog snot out of it walked away and a whole lot of prying back and forth on it what i did is i just stuck this bar in there and come on get in there work that valve back and forth just like that and then if you just tap on it it would snap back at the end there now she's good to go ah crap knocked that pusher out of there showing you guys that get back in there and then i did find that this number one cylinder the exhaust valve was janked up so was the number two and then the number five over there but we got them all working so i assume now we're gonna have compression and we can move on to spark and fuel i think before i get to fuel i'm gonna replace the fuel hose i did check inside the tank it looks good so we're gonna be able to use the fuel tank no boat tank check out these freaking push rods they're bad the number one is real good never seen one do this so that's pretty common or they just kind of bend like that that was a number two cylinder number five cylinder just kind of snapped the end off look at the number one there how cute is that this little ah so good thing uh the flammable y block the gift that keeps on giving had a few donors a lot of those were actually a little bent up there so let's uh put that fuel line on there and i don't know check for spark she's gonna run now finally gonna get a y block that runs maybe all right quick easy way to check for spark is just pull the coil wire off turn your key on turn it over see if you had a nice hot spark coming from the coil wire and by coil layer i mean the coil wire that goes from the coil to the distributor cap you don't need anything else no fancy tools nothing so here we go i bypass the ignition obviously i got my loser switch here and then i got this jumper wire going to the positive side of the coil you don't want to go to the negative side of the coil that ain't gonna work clip that up to power right there and then you know if you were using the ignition switch this would test everything you're not just testing the coil or the wiring here we go oh i got the battery up or did i knock something off here with the french toast well we'll just clip around the cable then can't be any corrosion on the actual cop work in there how about that here we go look at that been off the road since 1983 so whatever that is 38 years nice spark so if you got you know you got spark there so you know your points are working so basically after that you just need to make sure your plugs are working your wires are working and your cap and rotor are working which odds are there fine so we're just going to plug that back in throw the old plugs back in it because we're on a budget here i mean we're bored or losing the shop so we can't afford new spark plugs they're like a buck a piece buck 17 on rock auto so slam some plugs in give her some gas we could check compression but it's either gonna have it or it's not how dumb is it you gotta get on a creeper to put spark plugs in a y-block duff yeah well it's easier than going up top and doing it so it's down here sticking spark plugs in because you know ford things do it from underneath there's what a freeze plug supposed to look like that's a dormant inch and three quarter i'm guessing that's been replaced but cheese and rice what the french is that thing i feel like i should take that keep it as a souvenir i've seen some weird freeze plugs before but this whole pipe threaded dome thing that's that's some west river stuff right there just wanted to show you guys that while i'm under here enjoying my life oh yeah canister type oil filter and an external oil pump why block things got our spark plugs in that sucked because you got to put them in from the bottom ford things i was going to check the firing order but the spark plug wires are so brittle that they just kind of fall into the place where they got to go suck a new fuel line in but i don't have any fuel in the tank so i'm just going to run around the old hot sauce for a bit i think it's still got oil in it i put like a can and a half a zip into the valve train trying to loosen that up so should be plenty of lubrication there we might actually change oil on one of these one of these times this might be the one but i think we're gonna hook up the ignition wire hit the button see what happens hook up the old green ignition switch let's see what happens little's good lots better hopefully it doesn't run away it's not a diesel they don't do that do they [Applause] oh look at the exhaust just chooching out up here yeah it's gonna go all right here we go [Applause] boy you just tried fire now you don't want to oh that throttles she's stuck let's address that first ah hot sauce everywhere oh golden that's a big throttle spring ah she's a little sticky but it should work your battery's getting dead whoa that hole in the crossover pipe that points right at your face yeah that's not safe [Applause] i think we better check the firing order and timing and whatnot that might not be good firing order looks right one five four eight six three seven two uh check the engines at top dead center on number one rotor's pointing at number one or close-ish we should be within ballpark and i can't imagine timing would be off unless somebody parked it with the timing on so i don't know i guess the flames are coming out of the exhaust and if you're going to have flames it's better to have them there than the carburetor let's keep giving her see what happens is our battery getting angry or what can't imagine that y block starter that we used on the flammable wide block is not in tip-top shape let that battery charge a little bit or maybe grab a different one still looking for a battery sponsor swap the different battery in there i did loosen the distributor a little bit so we can play with the timing if we need to see what happens [Applause] maybe uh [ __ ] a little bit [Applause] are we getting spark [Applause] oh for pete's sake why is it now running chokes open [Applause] uh i suppose we should check the cap and rotor out it seems that i had him off and didn't look at him it's not too corroded let's scratch him up a bit suppose we could have stuck those new spark plugs in when we had the old ones though that would be the smart huh duff gonna use a spare spark plug here see if we got spark at the end of the wire [Applause] good spark there you also got the only two y blocks in the world that don't have enough compression to run i mean pretty good chance hopefully this one doesn't start on fire for me i got them plugs that aren't quite new we use them in the other y block for a while so i think i'm just going to go ahead and slam those in there and i don't have to worry about that then we'll still don't run then we'll check compression because that's the last thing we do there's no fix to that so we spot our newish plugs in there and uh i guess it's gonna just start now slingshot engaged slingshot engaged oh what is your deal so this battery cable runs all the way to the battery underneath the floor on the passenger side and it's old it's not very heavy gauge so very first thing to do is throw off some new battery cables on it and uh just to make it easy yeah through our no-name battery right up here and through some new cables got a new ground going to the intake see what happens still not turning over fast sounds better i think we need to find a starter she's pretty angry this headliner is real low and this seats real high should we go for a ride duff yeah go for a ride i think duff wants to go for a ride you like it oh my gosh so many licks of the face well duff's a lot more excited than i am truth of the matter is we don't drink and drive nor do we condone it we're not going anywhere did a compression test not good that does zero on a cylinder 25 on three more we did have one that was 100 so i mean there's that pull the low mileage plugs out put a couple shots of atf in each cylinder and screw the old plugs back in so maybe it'll rejuvenate itself i doubt it but with a shot it's not the end of the road for this thing either we'll pull that 292 out and do rings and bearings probably not gonna with a complete overhaul but i think i think duff says we're gonna look for a good used y block to put in here nice good running 292. this thing deserves a live on pretty rare pickup didn't build that many factory half ton four-wheel drives back in the day so plus it's a v8 and it's it's pretty solid she's banged up but duff likes it it's kind of the same color as you orange with white dash white seat white headliner so another learning experience spent a lot of time getting valves loose and we had to do that in order to check compression but just wasn't in the cards for us this time why blocks too mort's key and duff zero ah you always know how to put a smile on my face don't you so if you know of a y block let us know hit me up on the instagram or the gmail down below mordskyrepair gmail or mordskyrepair on instagram as always doesn't matter how you get it done as long as you're having fun one of these days we got to get something done though i had so much faith in this y block you did too well you still think it's gonna run don't you look what duff found in there apparently these cowboys were anheuser-busch drinkers that a boy oh my gosh look at all that stuff falling out of my hat so much headliner you guys really didn't think i was gonna leave you hanging like that did you nah guess what we found a good y block so see if we can't get that running and maybe stick her in here put this thing back on the road and then find a diff and some tires and some brakes and fix the fuel system in the hood and everything else what do you think about that duff oh you're excited so here we go we got a another y block that's a crate engine no it's a pallet engine right duff pallet engine so let's drag it inside see if we can't get it running we'll have an engine to put back in that pickup put her on the road again so i think what we got here is a 62 ish or so 292 y block that's the guy told me came from the same town as the last one that we got that was real good as you guys remember it's got the big holley 2 barrel on it so it's got to be later 50s doesn't have a 4 barrel on it so it's not a 312 most likely it's got the baldy valve covers on it i don't know why they call them that because they're nice and smooth and around i talked to the y block guy yeah that's his name on instagram about what this oiling system is he says it's uh kind of a band-aid whatever for the oiling system on these things he said they're not it's not a good not a good deal but it's on there so we're gonna leave it it's got some nice spark plug wire holders here it's got two battery cables so that means there's a starter on oh yeah it's got a it's got a oil in there duff sure enough i did turn it over before i bought it so i mean it's not locked up it's got a flexi hose so that pretty much sealed me on the whole deal crossover pipe's not all rotted out it's got the coolest air cleaner on it i always thought these were pretty neat other than they sit and fill with water and get rusty in the inside i think this is like an aftermarket fram or something oh yeah definitely fram yeah it's got that great big holly on it i think that's what the last one had carburetor is louis this thing was sitting inside in a case dealership for what do you say like 25 30 years pick up ran and drove that he had it in and he was gonna take it out put it in a truck and then never needed the truck or sold the truck or whatever so this thing sat and heated heated that's a loose term wood burner in the corner that had burned the shop down once before but now the shop had burned down wasn't the wood burner's fault right duff needle chop had all kinds of cool tools like for riveting brake shoes and recording radiators uh coolest whole spin balancer so on and so forth but back at it so yeah it's got spin on style oil filter it's got some weird instead of a road draft tube it's kind of got this thing on there but the y block guy said that that's actually kind of a good setup but from getting shoved around on the shop floor that's kind of janked up so we might have to get a new bolt for that if we get it to run huh duff gave him i think like i don't know what i gave him for this thing like 200 bucks but i told him that if it didn't run i was going to come break his knee gap and i think he took me seriously maybe because i had this look on my face but anyway 200 bucks said it would run i'd give me my money back it's more than we say for the last guy so hopefully this one runs right duff you don't want to go be breaking anybody's knee caps so i don't know i think like they tapped off like that's for your oil pressure gauge is supposed to go so they teed into that and then went into these valve cover bolts i don't i don't know what's going on there i don't understand it so i'm gonna have to do some more investigating there but based on you guys comments sounds like these things would sludge up real bad basically everything back then sludge up real bad but these seem like they were worse than most so it's got a hydraulic clutch so that makes me feel like it's 61 or 2 because that's when chevy had hydraulic clutches and international so i'll just leave it at that it's got smaller bell housing volt pattern so it's out of a pickup not a truck doesn't have the dual exhaust so it's not out of something cool like thunderbird yeah coil's missing because everybody steals the coils don't ask me why but the wire's there something we need to get a solenoid a battery a coil yeah and then just tickle it with some hot sauce and she's gonna light right off what are the odds this thing starts pretty good pretty good maybe not all right let's get after it got everything we need duff sure he says hey nancy she's our battery sponsor of the week or until this battery dies which maybe blow up on this thing we might need two battery sponsors didn't we have two batteries hooked up to the last wide block so thanks for the battery nancy i had to buy a new solenoid after running the last one 24 volts apparently they don't like that [Music] i think you got to ground these solenoids so we're just going to clamp her to the exhaust mount i think that's what we did last time maybe we ended up taking exhaust manifolds off because we thought there was restrictions in them or something i don't know because we were gonna put headers on so now we hook that up to the battery and we get our loser switch it should turn over but it won't oh hey you don't want that starter wire drawn out to your vice grip oopsies try number two even sounds like it's got compression and a big little chunk of poopy just happened to roll out of the bell housing that was a big mouse how there was that big rat pudding saw hanging on the inner fender that 64 in the power yeah this thing looks like it was set up about how the chevy love was just a whole rat's nest so now i guess we gotta get spark because it sounds like it's got compression so that's one up on any other y block we've ever worked on so we're going to take our wire coming off the distributor hook it up to the negative side of the coil but yes thanks should we hook a coil up backwards sometimes see what it does some guys say that spark will be weak some people say that it won't work some people say that it burns out the coil or the points i think the consensus is that the spark is just weak so apparently enough of you guys have done it to know what it'll do or there's just enough experts out there that think they know what i'm doing i've never done it i screwed up a lot of stuff but i've never hooked up a coil backwards that i'm willing to admit too go to your own why didn't you just go home that's your home are you too good for your home answer me got a jumper wire here so this thing hasn't run in at least 25 years he said so what are the odds we got spark probably not very good and we don't let's pop our cap off so oh man she is real [ __ ] in here i flick these points we should get spark over there and we don't because the points are open let's tap it over a bit i can already feel the spark hitting me i'm due to get shocked there we go oh we got sparky turn it over [Applause] good enough to run scratch up our rotor a bit here this is gonna be easy peasy lemon squeezy duff you might not have to break anybody's kneecaps is it pumping oil out that hole over there well that's good that's gonna make a mess we probably need to find a pipe plug for that definitely needs a new cap don't get mad and think that i hate ford i hate all manufacturers equally i'm an equal opportunity hater gm mopar studebaker [Music] they all do stupid stuff i'm gonna go find a plug so we don't shoot oil all over my floor cause this thing is gonna light off for sure always put your teflon tape on the right way so the way i put it on is you hold the plug the way that it's going in there and you roll it so that it's going the directions of the threads aka if you were to turn it in it's going to pull the tape around the threads not bind up and push against them if that makes any sense probably not that's the way grandpa taught me therefore it's the right way that's the way they did it in the old country all right hook up our coil give her a little tickle hot sauce i'm gonna sit over here so i don't get bloated up from all the exhausts coming out the one exhaust manifold [Applause] oh my gosh peanuts we've got peanuts duff do you like peanuts yeah i guess they uh filled the exhaust manifold by they i mean the mice pull up full peanuts for the winter that that was a big mouse it's probably the big mouse that had that big poop right there that's fun let's see if we can't blow the rest of the peanuts out of this thing put her right into the peanut butter jelly time peanut butter jelly time peanut butter i think i think she's gonna go we're getting more peanuts though it's like the circus here oh are you excited now this is easier than a gmc [Applause] we're gonna have to hook up a boat tank where are all those at one's in the 64 impala and one's on the 59 chevy it should run all right get a little more hot sauce all right i just hand okay switch hands left hand wfo all right [Music] is it backfired what's your problem are you gonna tell me what the problem is oh what happens when this bottle catches fire then we never touch y blocks ever again and that's what [Applause] whoa all right we're done with y blocks for tonight did i not call what was going to happen there how ballsy was me just hang on to this thing with just a molotov cocktail right in my hand maybe it was just stupid not ballsy all right on that note i think we're gonna get a boat tank and hook it up before we blow our faces off in our hands not the smartest thing we've ever done so we got our fuel tank from the 59 now we're gonna hook it up see if this thing will run on its own and such big duff ford couldn't just use a regular rubber hose with two pipe thread hose barb fittings between the fuel pump and the fuel line coming up from the tank they had to have their own special braided thing with a swivel and pipe thread everything else so now we need to go find those arb adapters right you know where those are at okay you know it's only a run stand or a run pallet whatever you're gonna call them but definitely don't wanna run out of fuel don't be a wank fill your tank plus if the lights on fire it'll be way better fireworks show this way you go up here oh yeah see some moisture up there i'm sure the accelerator pump's all dried up let's see what happens [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] say she runs not too bad why does it not idle down the wall you got something bent here duff oh there i so your pump's even kind of working so this screw right here should set your idle but this thing wasn't see if i can reenact it wasn't coming back to where it was touching that screw then i realized there's a choke manual choke cable adjustment here and there's a screw over here that was hitting that high idle so now that we've got that flipped open she'll come back so now it should idle look at that she's squirting we like squirters don't we duff so let's try it again now that we got the idle situation maybe addressed let's see if we can't get her to slow down just here coil wire snow shot engaged slingshot [Applause] [Music] engaged [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh [Music] i don't know what you guys that's way better than any other y block we've had on the channel so i think we'll pressure wash it real good fired up again i always like to do that after a pressure washer and fire them up so that we'll all water out and stuff and i suppose we should stick it in some old ford test it out on the road huh duff let's open the doors though it's getting smoky in here huh sweet so you have it how to get a wild lock running that was actually pretty easy hook up the fuel pump and boat tank flicked the points took up some battery cables this one was way easier than the last one had to work for that last one i'm sure he needs plugs and wires tune up carb going through but at least we know what we got now pretty excited so there you have it we actually can make a y block run remember doesn't matter how you get it done as long as you're having fun when you get this thing strapped down so you can really romp on her though [Applause] [Music] you
