[Music] see [Music] [Music] growing up as a kid everybody's father grandfather worked in the mines so my generation all my friends everybody went to school with they were connected to coal mining in some way so to say coal mining is my heritage or a part of me is a big understatement [Music] you know as a kid I remember riding my bike down here and some of what I consider the old-timers used to sit over here at the lamphouse and used to tell stories and you know just talk about the good old days of Lynch and I used to sit as a kid and listen to those guys my other friends would be off riding bikes I would be listening to those old guys that portal 31's always held a spot in my heart that's one of the reasons I decided to stay here to raise my family is to see this place succeed because this is a story that needs to be told the sacrifice that these guys gave not just for Lynch not just for the state of Kentucky but for the entire country in the entire world people just need to they need to know this heritage that's why I choose to stay I want to tell this story and I just want to see this place succeed I love this job love it [Music]
