I’ve watched this video numerous times over the past year. It’s hard to put into words the joy this man brought me on many Sundays. All the times he led miraculous comebacks and the times he just purely dominated.

This one is another one of my favorite videos:https://youtu.be/CubJC-ygHvc

Favre was who made me fall in love with football and the Packers. Rodgers took it to an even deeper level.

Honestly I don't feel good about the break up. I wish Rodgers was able to ride or die with green Bay until his career was over and I definitely feel he gives the Packers a much better chance to win in the next 2 years.

I honestly don't even want to watch or follow the NFL next season. Too many emotional heart strings are being ripped out and I think I'm just gonna take a year or two off from the NFL.

To me, it just doesn't provide me with the enjoyment that it once did. Hopefully stepping away will bring back the excitement. All the great seasons and heart breaks over the years and now the departure from Rodgers have left me jaded.

I honestly invest too much of myself into it all. It becomes one of the only things I look forward to and I think about it too much. It gets me nowhere because I'm obsessed. I just don't feel like it serves me well at this point in my life.

I know nobody cares and I probably sound like a bitch right now, but I just felt the need to somehow write down how I feel about something I've cared about deeply since I was old enough to remember. It's not all about Rodgers just being a fanatic in general. Sports can become unhealthy if it becomes all you care about. I just need a step away and to gain some perspective.

Goodbye NFL for a while.

[Applause] aaron rodgers roger no room to move that way comes back to the near side [Applause] not getting any scholarship offers out of high school what a beautiful throw because really he ascended to the top so quickly coming out of high school rogers wasn't recruited gonna be moving on now i guess is it cal berkeley pretty sure right now aaron rodgers a sophomore who transferred from butte college and he had the best sophomore season in pac-10 history mike 60 of his passes he completed he finished his collegiate career at cal berkeley just under two minutes now third and five a very critical third and five for the golden bears it was very evident that the guy was pretty special [Music] back to pass again on first down and throws it back over the middle to taller is wide open he drew comparisons to joe montana he reminds me of montana i'll throw out a big name here and his accuracy that we talked about a bowl win here at the inside bowl 52-40 which was perfect since rogers was a lifelong 49ers fan and the 49ers held the number one overall pick in the draft many predicted he'd be the number one pick 2005 nfl draft the san francisco 49ers select alex smith quarterback utah everybody thought that niners should have taken him instead of alex smith second selection in the 2005 nfl draft for miami dolphins to select ronnie brown he fell further and further and then we all painfully watched him in the first round sit in that green room braylon edwards cedric benson sean you know brady quinn was able to leave the green room after nine picks here i am you know we're in the 20s and they're cleaning up the other six tables that they had set up in there all the way to the package the green bay packers select aaron rodgers quarterback california then he sits behind brett favre it was probably the best thing for him right to sit and watch in green bay rogers would sit behind the legend brett favre for three seasons rogers walks into the cafeteria and barb is the only one sitting there says good morning grandpa their relationship was infamously shaky although i knew that at some point i would not be the starter in green bay i knew that it's only natural there would be friction farv knew rogers was his future replacement you know i don't have to give him any insights to what i do or don't do i don't know him or anyone else anything fiverr is not nice to rogers at all when farv retired rogers was finally given his shot i am officially retiring from the nfl farv retired but soon changed his mind and all but demanded his job back meanwhile the packers will move forward with aaron rodgers as their starter we'll look up to superman batman though i say five minutes but went far unretired packers fans were divided on sticking with rogers and trading farm away this manifested in a very icy welcome to the beginning of the rogers era aaron rodgers to begin the new era in green bay packer football down the middle when you look at a guy like brett favre and how loved and respected he is try to follow that the ice thawed quickly though as the world saw the remarkable mr rogers got those bodies out of there got a lambo leap in yarn go take it we are 15 minutes away from the detroit lions either making history or avoiding it [Applause] lions have to make a stand here rogers on first down looking deep driver is going to go in for the touchdown [Applause] and the o in motown officially stands for oh and 16. in his second year starting rogers was poised to take his place among the nfl elite two minutes and 28 seconds remaining in the fourth the first step was to establish dominance over the nfc north erlacker came on the blitz and missed him that time and the is caught at the 41-yard line by donald driver trailing late rogers went for broke on third and one third down and one from the 50. fake to grand rogers touchdown packers [Applause] it took some lebowski-sized bowling balls nobody was with the jesus but rogers had recaptured the north [Applause] i think i think aaron rodgers is the better quarterback than brett favre first down by jennings rogers on second and four puts it up roger's ascent to the elite class of qb was complete in stride and he will take it in touchdown packers his reign over the nfc north continues [Music] [Applause] this dude can throw like that but he can also run for the pylon does he get in yes touchdown aaron rodgers [Applause] look at this throw perfect placement this guy is not open he's covered touchdown aaron rodgers threads the needle one of roger's most powerful weapons over the years has been his hard count he draws defenders offside using his powerful cadence earning a free play and roger just throws it down the field and it's called outside defense his decline the play results aaron rodgers the veteran that he is he knew he had a freebie there the legend of the dragonborn had begun and into the end zone is greg jennings for a touchdown aaron rodgers the green bay packers basically say aaron go do it because they can't run the ball it's all on him here today it was now time for the california kid to cement himself among the great packers qbs who came before slings for the touchdown james jones and aaron rodgers showing what he can do when you talk about it the only thing keeping aaron rodgers from immediately being mentioned with peyton manning tom brady is post-season success and the leadership he provides and the coolness and the way he handles things it seems like nothing ruffles this kid now four-man rush rogers for james jones touchdown what a catch they are in the nfc championship game aaron rodgers they may be a six seeded team but what they do offensively all those weapons are seeing why they're so dangerous so does the packers and bears and it's never meant more than this the nfc championships the 186 meeting it truly is nfl history in the makings as a sixth seed rogers went on the road three straight games i just mentioned a guy like tom brady he knows what his game is it ain't outside the pocket aaron rodgers has made how many plays like that touchdown and what an impressive start to this game for the packers this is a bad man i'm trying to tell you man a historic run to the super bowl fueled by the incredible play of the batman aaron rodgers [Music] [Applause] rogers [Music] just a perfectly thrown ball by aaron rodgers puts it right where it needed to be rogers threw three touchdowns approaching the two-minute warning here in arlington over the middle and was named super bowl mvp [Music] touchdown greg jennings [Applause] the final snap of super bowl 45. the green bay packers have won the super bowl the lombardi trophy is coming home do you ever feel like you get overlooked i don't really worry a whole lot about that i mean i think you know the fact that we had our success last season and won a championship that kind of does the talking coming off winning the super bowl rogers had what can only be described as a season for the ages [Applause] it would be the first of roger's three league mvp years first and ten from the 32-yard line that is coy here's pogba the rookie inside the 10. touchdown packers and randall cobb will do his first lambo lead second down in two throw his abilities on the long balls phenomenal he puts it right on the money and touchdown packers [Applause] the dragonborn [Applause] more flags torching the league to the tune of 45 touchdowns touchdown and a single-season passer rating record of 122.5 looks like long jumped across too soon free play deep throw for jordy nelson [Applause] right now aaron rodgers is the class of quarterbacks and it's not even close the underrated athleticism should have been sacked right there by gibson his unique talent and skill set was something the league hadn't seen the things that you see in aaron rodgers how crisp and concise he is his footwork immaculate rogers flushed out to his left stays upright he could throw accurately off platform on the move across his body james jones he could stand in the pocket and deliver perfect passes and he's into the end zone for the touchdown 41 yards [Applause] his arm strength his ability to throw on the move or stand in the pocket how he just makes things happen wide open at the 30-yard line is tom crabtree rogers throws touchdown pass number six that touchdown pass pulled aaron rodgers even in packer franchise history with bart starr at 152 dragonborn they came across again on second and seven free play for the touchdown james jones [Applause] there's number 12 aaron rodgers 2011 mvp three-time pro bowler rodgers 34-42 480 passing yards four touchdowns no picks this pass travels 60 yards in the air and hits nelson in perfect stride and tony nelson takes it in for a packers touchdown in the midst of another potential mvp season rogers suffered a broken collarbone and rogers rogers went down hard on his throwing shoulder let's see if rogers is okay mike he stayed down there for a second at the back end of the play i have a fractured collarbone we haven't talked at all about timetable or anything i think we're still going through the process about nfl mvp right now if you ask me you know the best player in the nfl best player in that team by far and without him you see what they can do in his absence the packers would go two and six rogers returned in the final week of the season wouldn't you know it it was a game against the bears a game where both teams were tied for the division lead winner takes the north loser misses the playoffs down by [Applause] [Music] is one behind jordy nelson and now it's fourth down again it is fourth down green bay 46 seconds to go fourth and seven i still have nightmares and flashbacks of aaron rodgers blitz is on last game of the season to go to the playoffs rogers was once again king in the north [Applause] the king in the north [Music] the nose tackle creates pressure up the middle obscuring the passing lane rogers sidesteps to give a center better leverage the passing lane is opened going deep made by downfield cobb cobb inside the 10 touchdown the coverage was initially extremely good but roger's dancing around and sooner or later he'll kill you back off to a one-and-two start rogers has thrown for less than 200 yards in two of their three games should packer fans be a little concerned simply amazing that's what he is each and every week rogers steps up after a shaky start to the season rogers famously told packers fans r-e-l-a-x relax rogers would go on to win his second league mvp play action first down two receivers it's like taking a cinder block and trying to throw that thing 60 yards down the field [Music] [Applause] [Music] the two-time mvp reigned fire excellent job of aaron rodgers knowing that he had a free play he knew he had drawn the bears offside mastering the hard count and now rogers is so good in that hard count you got a free play aaron rodgers embracing his inner dragonborn that's three weeks in a row mike a hard count gets the packers a free play free play rogers has made a living of this and james jones and rogers have done it again don't forget even after the dancing around the thing that makes him so special he can throw off a platform remarkable aaron after doing his best houdini impersonation rogers headed to motown so now one last play untimed play packers are trailing 23-21 obviously this is an all or nothing snap to rogers scrambles to his left under pressure rolling right escapes right side looking rainbows high and deep rogers ark to hail mary and delivered the motown miracle [Music] rogers total disbelief at ford field he followed up one miracle with another against the cardinals in the playoffs and this is ball game 55 seconds to go fourth and twenty his feet aren't set he can still deliver either one foot sidearm better than anyone yard line of arizona oh my goodness it's the whole ball game for green bay to stay alive more miracles from the batman five seconds to go for green bay [Music] [Applause] flag colts look to a junk rogers to the end zone and it is caught as nelson is able to help battle butler for the football lions have now won the division title since 93 lions rush four there goes rogers again looking i mean you just you can't stop him if he does that nfc north division champions again they're gonna air it out rogers does this better than knows anybody it's like to be the [Applause] and a best triangle for bayley he's the only quarterback maybe in league history that i've seen do this repeatedly let me tell you who aaron rodgers is if dan marino had an even higher football iq had already won a super bowl was much more mobile the season for the packers was aaron rodgers ability i mean that is a car wreck somehow hangs on a jarring knockout punch and aaron rodgers holds on to the football rogers pops up and calls timeout and with that hit aaron rodgers a brilliant job to hang on to the floor after getting smoked like that comes back a few plays later and delivers the throw of the year what points i think what aaron rodgers that throw he made that should go to canton that might be one of the greatest stories i've ever seen in my life he didn't even step into the throne that is unbelievable believable pinpoint accuracy on third and 20. incredible this guy every week every year does things that other quarterbacks just can't do make the big throw downfield on a dime that bails his team out [Applause] the packers are moving on [Applause] aaron rodgers has done it again it is never over with number 12 out on the field in a week one game against the bears rogers was knocked out early remember he had no training camp as somebody who grew up in chicago waking up on saturday morning was in san francisco [Applause] four-man rush here comes look out down he goes in the 25-yard line and that is a sight that has everybody's hearts stopping at lambeau field i'll be back you just got the bears uh a 27 year old prime player who is a former defensive player of the year in his prime and matt [Applause] [Music] you never know how the things are going to turn out in the long term just when it was looking like a bear's route the king in the north returned aaron rodgers came out of the tunnel he is on the field right now he could have ever figured this about an hour ago [Applause] rogers dancing nobody was with the jesus touchdown geronimo allison this might be one of one of his more impressive performances given the circumstances steps up there sits the only king i mean to bend my knee to devotee adams and adam's dives for the end zone touchdown he is the white wolf the king of them it's a six-point game you don't think do you i mean you don't think right i don't see them do a lot of stuff the king in the north the king in the nerve in the chicago territory randall cobb inside the 20-yard line randall cobb is gonna score once again king in the north [Music] dak prescott was poised to announce himself into the elite class of quarterback he had arrived and was ready to out duel the best of the best [Music] but then rogers happened oh there is just one more thing lieutenant blitz far sideline devonta adams what a throwing catch i can guarantee you this he is not thinking field goals look like the official first said winded here's one to martellus bennett running hard in a first down with seconds remaining on the clock third down and eight snap rogers rush on steps up scrambles left roger's on the run turns out across the 20 to the 15 and out of that aaron's pointing to the right now gets the snap leap touchdown [Applause] a spectacular third [Music] [Music] when roger sees that flag on the defense he lights it up at age 37 rogers should have several more prime years left to dominate the league arguably maybe the best year of his career right now the best player on earth by such a measure it's really not fair to compare other players to him this season rogers was once again named mvp his third the [Applause] perfect whether he finishes his career in green bay or not is unknown but wherever the dragon board goes success is sure to follow and rogers escapes gets out of trouble people say aaron rodgers is great they don't do him justice [Applause] yard run nobody brings it home like jill it's nobody make it so [Music]
