A Wet and Wild Hammock Camp in Dense Forrest - Saying Goodbye to an Old Friend

just walked into a club but i've got a style outfit camera don't look at the camera but style it out don't fall over keep it cool rodney trigger [Music] right this is oh man right oh look at that it's kind of eerie there's plenty of bones kicking about i've uh i've no i've not camped here before i'm there's sort of a clearing up up there so i might get some stars it's not as thick as everywhere else it gets pretty thick and it's pine wood and also it's littered in buns mate littered with buns a few decent sized ones there could make some out of that so i'll keep them in camp just to make it a little bit a little bit more weird a bit a bit more eerie she's nearly halloween in it so bang this lad on a stick or something staring into cam for halloween vibes ew i mean hammock first time in a long time in hammock so let's get that whistled up and um and get a fire going bag's leaking bag's got a leak in it mate dad jokes jokes not bad um sweet um i get a look around it just the dd super light tap three by 2.8 or 2.9 or something not not perfectly square the dd front line hammock just a few um just a few buns really that's all just to keep it keep it real um it's quite good actually i've just uh been able to tie it off on these trees because all the trees are so close together these back free looks like it was made for it and then i just tied one down to a sticking to the ground there so all the water will just run off this way and it affords me to be able to look 360 degrees around me which is perfect for the morning so i've just got it's been a while since i've shown me uh amex set up probably because it doesn't focus there's no point yeah i've got these am steel super light carabiners they get caught a little bit so i'm probably gonna look at doing something else with these i've had these for years man absolutely years tree yoga um quick release knot with a toggle to get down bungee cord attached to the bug net my little porch this does everything with me this i even use it at work i used it recently i forgot my knee pads at work and i just had that in my truck and there you go ideal in here we've got the seater summit pillow the alp kit pipe dream i think it's a 600 i do keep forgetting so apologies for that me army softies they just add an extra layer and underneath all that is me neoair extra-large x-therm and in my bag look and there she's the dangler and i shall be dangling within it and also got a little gap up here look so i can see twinklers and la moon if she comes out if well she'll be out but i don't know if she'll pass over that eye this time of year but i might go out and see what we can find later on what does that mean the [ __ ] is that to billy can knife there he is rest in peace mate rest in peace it's been used and much loved will continue to be used and much loved until the day i can't use it and love it anymore get some carrots in there i like them chunky i just like to get them in chunky if i'm slow cooking it 30 don't bother peeling it just get big chunks in garlic aren't messing about crush it up but i'm putting a full bulb in you do you smash it up to get all the flavors out i don't bother taking skins off just eat skins when you slow cook it or if it bothers you take them off or take them off when it's cooked but whatever that's it in with the marinated pork simple bit of salt bitter pepper just a little bit of thyme is all it takes dad gags dad gags oh no it's been raining pretty heavy everything's soaking so i'm just taking everything that's well as much as i can from the from the trees it's just been caught on its way down and not not been lying on ground and the canopy from the tree will keep it pretty dry still a bit damp like but best of a bad bunch here there's my buzzard friend it's going to get it's going to kick off later in it hmm fill a few of these gaps so let me shavings dot disappear get some little bits itty bits [Applause] big on you flying oh his wood is so wet so i don't wanna smother it he says smothering it but just gradually and it'll dry out go on it's been soaking wet of late torrential rains in the uk for anyone who stumbled across this video by accident [Music] morning glampers i've said it before but the greatest thing about sleeping in a hammock is waking up in a hammock it's so comfy sorry if that light but let's see let's turn this off and see if i can show you what i've woke up to all right i'm gonna do a quick quick tidy up i've got stuff to do today everything's soaking it rained in the night everything is drenched um as far as wood goes so it would be a bit of a chew i think to get a fire going get this hammock squared away there is how we're going to do this that this will be the bits that right near the fire should be dry enough yeah i'm using the lighter sue me there she is oh no look at that tragic tragedy has happened look oh no dude i was just trying to it's not even that big a piece there's no real knots in it or anything but look oh dude chao'd it whoa oh no that is heartbreaking look at that [ __ ] that's it she's dead she's a deer killed it i've killed it there it is look yeah r.i.p damn that is a shame a true shame but i will keep that now like obviously it's not you it's no use to me now as a knife but i'm gonna keep it i'm gonna help i'm even i'll give you even put it on my shelf on at home as a little memento because that is just an ornament now it's been fruit wars mate it's got a story behind it anyway from me being gifted it and the way it was made and the person who made it and then the person who by mcq bushcraft lee from lb custom knives it's just me good weep but me i got a lot of use out of this i got a lot of use out of this mate i hammered it hammered it served me well and if it's got to go out here like this then that's how it's got to go and that is just an ornament and a memory and i'll i'll still treasure it forever it's last task was to give me warmth to make this breakfast so let's get that on so long old buddy i had a little forage yesterday found some amethyst deceivers and some hedgehog mushrooms pretty purple which you would normally think alarm bells but they're actually safe and get a specimen of the hedgehog now the fonter bits a little bit this is the hedgehog mushroom um and you can see by the you probably won't be able to see but the gills aren't so much gills they're like little spines like little uh that's why it gets the name hedgehog mushroom under there you can't really see but um to anyone who's new to this don't just go around picking up mushrooms i shouldn't have to say it because there are some absolute units out there that'll take you out of the game they'll log you off permanently and in a horrible way um never mind the ones that just get you make you terribly ill there's ones that can actually log you off forever and you will not remember your password you'll be gone game set and match mate so just pick the shrooms that you know 100 to be the shrooms that you're targeting and that are edible oh making me been grafting i've been landscaping quite a bit um i just finished a nice quarry tile path in a like a victorian style front garden with the rope edging and and that sort of a thing just put some dark paving to match the quarry tiles i'll let you have a look right this is all dried now this is late just needs cleaning up and pointing i've put this concrete reinforced concrete pad in um it's about 150 mil and just shut it off with timber and timber here and then i'm going to tile that i've left this low enough so that the difference in the tile will come up to me flush with the paving and then i'm going to put some edging in around here clean it all up and that'll be a job done so stay tuned there we go at the end of the day um i've got to put more edge i've got to put more edging down here because the wall shut me out so my pad ain't big enough so i have to fill that in so that i can get this level down this um sorry my edgy not wear down and then cut this off in here seal it grout it clean it down seal it again jobs are good and there we are finished traditional quarry style path with with the dark paving cut around here and some rope so traditional rope edging some planting in here sort of crown lifted so it's not taking out any of the the view to the house there we are job done there you go that's the day job that's the day job but things are slowing down a bit now because it is you know it's getting into winter it's coming into winter so things are slowing down a little bit so hopefully i'll have a little bit more time to get out and make some videos do a bit of camping and stuff higher higher just have a little uh scout of it mushrooms make sure there's no soil going in or whatever not too bothered about bugs i hate them but no one needs any grit no you don't need grit in your breakfast oh it's got so dark man real dark and it's raining atmospheric just break them up a bit with my hands oh yeah so a couple of eggs and then we've got salt and pepper i can't forget my skull not taking them all i'm not a maniac just like skulls and buns things of that nature nature like nature come on there we go come here no trace that i've been here yeah then in it come on let's big on wonderful good spot that's first time i've camp dear i appreciate it good little sight that right let's go how do i get out down here the forest floor is littered littered with mushrooms man i've seen better days like seeing better days but there's just so many stacked it mate stacked it i was sleeping here oh i've stayed here forever that's me stick a fork in me i'm done see ya lols there you go the cat like reflexes let me down stacked it right come on call these shrooms everywhere beauty have a wash i don't actually have time to dunk the junk things have taken a bit longer than things taking a bit longer than expected so just a nice little splash of the old faceroo it's a stunning day i've got stuff to do boring stuff boring stuff to do there's a lovely camp that it's a shame about the knife but i'm gonna i'm gonna just put it in a display and put it on the wall gone but not forgotten that's me gotta go and pick up some furniture from my dad's house i mean i mean big wagon i got furniture in there right i'll be back i'll be back soon as i say i'm i'm putting more um more stuff on
