A Thing of Beauty...

[Music] [Applause] [Music] hello everybody today you're going to meet the other members of the family the more elusive ones you don't see very often um the other horses the younger Horses The Herd have all come in today to have their feet trimmed faria's been so we've got a few pictures and a few shots of that for you but we thought we'd give them a groom as they're all in the Stables so we're going to just go down today we're going to start with two and we're going to introduce you to Beauty which is Nick's X show jumper and a horse called um Avatar who came to live with us through injury um so we'll take you down and introduce you to the two girls they're rather lovely and they're extremely fat but they're going to have a good groom and a bit of a trim and then we're gonna pop them back out with their friends and over the next sort of few so weeks or months so I'll introduce you to everyone else in the in the younger herd so we're going to go and do that we've just been out and brought some special conditioner for their Mains because I don't think it's going to be very easy it's been a while isn't it so yeah so they're looking a little bit a little bit grubby but yeah we're gonna go and give them an ice cream and we will show you and you can meet them all so see you in a minute thank you [Music] so this is beauty she's now 16 17 years old she was next jumper back in the UK she hasn't done any jumping since arriving to France she has retired just like her dad so um yeah so we're going to give her a groom and try and get rid of some of this Mane we're going to keep it long as much as it pains me to do it I like nice trimmed tidy manes she doesn't want to play books um Beauty so you can just make out she's got very very long name but I'm going to keep the main nice and long because of the Flies so it will help her keep the flies away as summer's coming so we're just going to give it a nice brush and um yeah check her all over make sure she's okay don't think she's working don't need to worry about your weight do it you do pretty well so we'll grab her out and we'll um yeah give her a nice cream [Music] ESO beauty is looking extremely well look at that body that is one hell of a bod nice round bottom oh it was shiny as I can't could be look at this Mane so yes that definitely needs a bit of grooming there got some fairy rings here this is what the fairies do they climb up their mains and they create these little ties all over them and they um create a ring as you can see if you look it's a perfect ring and they ride them around on a full moon so Legend has it so we're gonna have to remove those because um yeah it'd be nice to just get a Mane nice and nice and soft again hey Beauties so she has got the longest tail in the world ever so we're just going to trip trim the end off but I'll keep it very very long because they use them to whisper away the flies in summer but we'll just take the tips off because it is looking a little bit a little bit um wrapped Haley hey it's like going to a spa Beauty get her hair your hair done you've had your feet done very nice okay so the first thing I think I need to do is um try and work taste some of these knots out [Music] [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] so this is Avatar she was retired here through injury and she's probably I think she's only about 12. she can still be ridden and hopefully um Charlie will do a little bit about with a in the coming years but yeah the moment she's just enjoying being in the field so I'm going to pop them both back out now hey girls you want to go out [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] time to stop us [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] twice [Music] [Music] no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no [Music] no no no no no
