we're looking forward to that brother jerry jones is going to be here and of course our district superintendent brother steve boyd will be here and i think that's going to be a great time and i don't know how many of you are going to general conference but tabby has been recognized and that will be officially announced there am in indianapolis and so that's good and if there's people that want to get uh set for pastoring or preaching and so forth you know you need to get into tabby it's going to be a great time and you know i'm excited about planting churches this year i mean people have to be safe and you know we're safe we're good but there's a lot of people who are not saved and we have to try and get them in also of course we are going to be starting a haitian ministry and they'll be right on campus here they'll start out on campus and they will go from there and you know we gotta we gotta think about people that's not safe because if they're not saved nothing good is coming out of that you know people are gonna say well the lord is gonna be kind and put him in heaven not happening i know that they probably switch the mic off they're not going because peter is going to be there and if they didn't obey what peter preached it's not happening so we want to get people safe i'm excited that way when people get saved beloved i get excited and so we want to get them saved and the lord will will indeed bless us and of course the major project that we have uh this year is we're gonna start this year is south florida and um god is reminding me from time to time that he's counting on on us being in south florida and people have to be safe miami is a larger place than tampa and so i think when we go there we know that god is able to do something and we we're going to do something i know there is a lot of probably a lot of demons down there but we know how to fix them and i don't mind fixing them amen because we have to get those people to a place where they can sing about jesus and get excited and talk in tongues and run around you know i i remember one year we were at i think it was because of time and also general conference and we had one preacher i mean he would just run all over the place when he gets tired he sat down a little bit once he rest off he got up and run again you know you got to be excited about jesus beloved god has been so kind to us i mean some of us he lifted us out of the mirror clay some of us i mean we didn't even have a good natural life and god straightened us up and touched us and give us a good job and help us we need to be thankful all give thanks unto the lord for he is good because mercy is endured prayer we need to love god beloved and let him know we love him and appreciate him and when we sing about him i mean we get excited because god has been good and i'm excited and i pray i pray that you'll continue to get excited and love god and you know see what you can do for the lord because better days are coming the island of jamaica he's also the brother of sister angela chin and a cousin to brother kirk macleod so i want you to keep that family covered in prayer that the lord's hand would be on them and amen we just know that our god is able to comfort where we can't comfort and our god can do what we can do so i want you to pray for that family amen when you have an opportunity and you can express chapter four beginning in verse 10 down to verse 11 and also first john chapter 2. verses 15 through 16 once again that's second timothy chapter 4 verses 10 through 11 and while you're finally now just give honor to our pastor and bishop and their family in the ministry amen and for all that they do amen we don't want to take it for granted we don't want to take that for granted amen you know great leadership god fearing leadership amen so the word of the lord reads in second timothy for demons has forsaken me having loved this present world and is departed onto thessalonica cretians to galatia titus unto dalmatia only luke is with me take mark and bring him with thee for he is profitable to me for the ministry we'll turn to first john chapter 2 verses 15 through 16 and it reads love not the world neither the things of the world that are in the world if any man love the world the love of the father is not in him for all that is in the world is the lust of the flesh the lust of the eyes and the pride of life and it's not of the father but it's of the world and for a subject tonight would be a second win a second win that's w-i-e-n-d a win and we'll act pastor if he will pray over this evening praise god we thank you for your word lord jesus your word is true word is already anointed oh god and your word is able to make us wise unto salvation i pray lord god that your word will go forth now with power with demonstration of the spirit that you give us a heart to receive your word that you remove every obstacle lord every impediment lord jesus christ that we might be transformed that your word would have room to work in us lord god for your transforming us from glory to glory and from strength to strength i pray that you anoint minister brown lord from the crown of his head to the soul of his feet lord jesus use him for your glory tonight we bind satan we buy enemy that would seek to come against the church of the living god we forbid the enemy to operate in this place tonight in jesus name we loose the power of the holy ghost now to bring salvation and healing and deliverance to everyone lord god that will hear this word tonight we give you all the glory we give you all the honor and we give you all the praise we plea the blood of jesus in jesus name we pray somebody ought to say amen and amen amen thank you for standing you may be seated a second win and so this subject uh will make sense in a few moments but in our opening text we read about demons you know not much is mentioned about demons in the scripture i've been said about demons and scriptures that he was a fellow laborer with paul he helped paul spread the gospel in a few supporting scriptures in philadelphia chapter 1 23-24 ephephris my fellow prisoner in christ jesus sent you greetings and so do mark aristarchus demas and luke my fellow workers and we see that it didn't say that they was working for paul didn't say that they were on paul's payroll but it says that they were all working together and that's quite instructive because if we look around we can see that if god has saved us he didn't just save us just to make it into heaven but he saved us to spread his gospel message as bishop was saying there are many people that needs to be saved and so we see here that demas was a fellow worker then also in colossians 4 and 14 it reads our dear friend luke the doctor and demas sin greetings and so now the opening scripture in second timothy that we read was written shortly before paul's death and paul asks timothy to come as soon as he can and in paul's own words he tells simply put demons has deserted me because he loves the things of this life now it's apparent that in time of need he was abandoned by demons paul said only luke remained with him and while demas is only mentioned three times in the bible these things these three times tell a sad and tragic story he goes from being mentioned among the likes of mark and luke to deserting the apostle paul why because he loved the things of this world and to be quite honest with you this world has some very attractive things if you're not careful you know what we're honest we can say we're sanctified and filled with the holy ghost but the devil knows what you like the devil knows what you like this is why well i won't say that i'll only speak for me because i know me this is why it took me so so long to get into the church because i love the things of the world i didn't want to let them go and a lot of times what really did it for me is i knew if i died i was going to hell and i didn't want to go to hell but the world will meet your price if you have a price the world knows what you like sisters he knows the type you like brothers he knows the type that you like so the world will meet your price if you're now sold out for jesus how sad is it for someone to turn their back on the faith in exchange for the things of the world why would anybody do that because we really wasn't really sold out for jesus how do you avoid these things well first that you just have to remember what god saved you from you've got to remember the vow that you made to god you've got to remember and sometimes testify to yourself the things that god delivered you from don't be so saved that you forgot where you were on a friday night and a saturday night don't be so sad that you forgot what the alcohol tasted like don't get so sad that you forgot where you could find the man on the coin don't get so super spiritual that you forget what god saved you from don't you forget you were supposed to die in the shootout don't forget how it felt when you got shot don't forget that you should have died of std the days don't forget you should have died of cancer but jesus and all of his love and all of his grace and his mercy he loved you when you didn't even love yourself how is it you say that we can become so super spiritual that we forget that we're working for the same god we're working for the kingdom of god because if we don't love god with all of our hearts the world will meet your price so now how do we avoid becoming like demas first john 2 and 16 says for the all that is in the world is the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life and the bible also says it is not of the father but of the world this word lust we hear it a lot lust is something by simple definition that you can hardly wait to get people lust after people they lust things and believe it or not some people lust after their own selves you ever seen those people take a selfie everywhere nobody cares what you look like in front of a tree who cares who cares what your plate of food looks like i promise you i don't care some stuff just i don't understand i'm gonna take i'm gonna come in the kitchen cook this food put it on a plate take a picture and just send it to god knows who the god knows where what kind of what kind of status somebody gonna answer me after we preach what kind of satisfaction you getting after that i digress but lust turns people into liars deceivers and manipulators their actions towards others are based on the craving that they want to get what they want just as bad as a drug addict would do anything to get his fix someone in lust would do anything for their self-gratification we also have to take we have to avoid the lust of the flesh romans chapter 7 verse 15 through 18 declares for that which i do not for which i for which i do i allow not for what i would that i do not but what i hate that i do if then i do that which i would not i consent unto the law that it is good now then it is no more i that do it but sin that dwelleth in me for i know that me my flesh that is that dwelleth no good thing let me say that again in your flesh dwelleth nothing good there is nothing good about your flesh your flesh is it's not even worth going to heaven because your flesh isn't even it's going to go back to the ground from where it comes from from ashes to ashes and dust to dust that's how much god thinks about your flesh but in the soul in this society that we live in we put so much emphasis on our flesh we implant it we surgically move stuff and put it here and put it there and god is not impressed with it bishop said he's not impressed either verse 18 says for i know that in me that is in my flesh dwelleth no good thing for to will this present with me but how to perform that which is good i find out that's why people of god is easy to to do wrong things because it's our nature the world has a system the world will appeal to your flesh this is why people try to change their look they want their flesh to be appealing it comes down to the same parallels of lust women dress seductively because they want to draw attention to their flesh men do it all but i can't understand how people would dress a certain way but then get an attitude when you get the attention that you say you weren't looking for well why he looking because you you giving him something to look at well he shouldn't be looking you shouldn't be dressed in that way this is why i say this a lot of people need to be delivered from the spirit of dumb because it just don't make sense why he looking don't wear it and he can't look don't give him nothing to look at the bible also says don't entice your brother to fall into sin but in our flesh dwelleth nothing good this is why paul said we have to die daily we have to crucify our flesh because the biggest war between your spirit and your flesh and when you crucify the flesh completely when you annihilate your flesh then you can walk in the spirit and honor the things of god which brings us to the lust of the eyes now this is quite interesting also the bible lets us know in the ten commandments address the lust of the eyes and its prohibition against covetous against coveting exodus 20 and 17 commands you shall not covet your neighbor's house you shall not covet your neighbor's wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that is in your neighbors coveting can include a desire to have people possessions or status and satan uses the lust of the eyes as an avenue of temptation and part of the reason eve listened to the serpent in the garden was she looked at the forbidden fruit and she saw that pleasing to the eye satan used a visual to help trap her satan tried to similar tactic on jesus and one of his temptations in the wilderness was an attempt to make jesus covet earthly power satan used a visual he said to jesus i'm going to show you all the kingdoms of the world and all of their splendor he then promised to give these things to jesus for a price of course jesus didn't fall into the lust of the eyes and satan was defeated people of god we can't become intoxicated with what this world has to offer if you have a price i promise you the world will match it which brings us to the pride of life perhaps one of the most evil temptations is the pride of life this is the very sin that caused satan to be kicked out of heaven he desired to be god not a servant of god but he desired to be god we could pay attention to isaiah chapter 14 verses 12-15 notice what it says it says how art thou fallen from heaven oh lucifer son of the morning however cut down to the ground which did its weakens the nations for thou hast said in thine heart i will extend into heaven i will exalt my throne above the stars of god i will sit upon the mount of the congregations in the sides of the north and we can pause right there the size of the north that means he's saying he's going to be equal with god next verse please it says i will ascend above the heights of the clouds and i will be like the most high pride pride come listen to me come look what i have come see what i'm all about but notice what the bible says yet thou shalt be brought down to hell to the sides of the pit the arrogant boasting which constitutes the pride of life motivates the other two lusts and it seeks to elevate itself above all others and fulfill personal desires it is the root cause of strife in families churches and nations people this is why jesus said everyone who would follow him must take up their cross and deny themselves why would jesus say that because jesus don't want any of your flesh to receive any of his glory jesus is saying if you're going to follow me you've got to forget about yourself so much so you have to across crucify your flesh and you've got to have faith and walk after me the bible lets us know it says that the pride of life stands in our way if we truly seek to be servants of god the pride of life comes not from the father but of the world and as such it is passing away with the world but those who resist and overcome the temptation of the pride of life will do the will of the father the man who does the will of god will live forever this is what caused demas to backslide and to walk away he didn't resist the temptations people of god are not saying that you're not going to be tempted the temptation is not a sin but it's rather what you do with that temptation you're going to be tempted today you're gonna be tempted tomorrow some of you are even tempted right now but you've got to remember your testimony you've got to remember what god saved you from you've got to remember the first time you came to the altar you didn't come to god looking for a title you didn't come to god looking for a position you just wanted to avoid hell at all cost you was willing to pay the ultimate price you was willing to walk away from the world you was willing to walk away from that relationship you was willing to give up that job because the only thing that mattered all you wanted was god all you wanted was salvation all you wanted was eternal life but now sometimes we feel that the road is weary we feel that it gets rocky we feel that it gets hard but all you've got to do is don't quit don't throw in the towel there's a fresh wind blowing you've got to remember in the book of acts the bible says and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind not filled all in the house in other words what i'm saying when you receive the holy ghost you shall receive power not the power to death but you've got the power to walk right you've got the power to live right you've got the power to love right you've got the power not to fall into temptation you've got the power to be what god has called you to be that's why the devil hates you he doesn't want you to realize the unlimited power that god has given to you but we're going to expose him more tonight because we know god we serve he's given us power he's given us what he needed he's given us the sources he's given us the resource don't forget your testimony church don't forget what god has saved you from if we take a look at the early church let's see how they responded to the battles in their warfare the bible says that they assembled together and now they notice what they prayed in acts chapter 4 verses 29 through 31 and it says in now lord behold the threatenings and grant unto thy servants that with all boldness they may speak thy word by stretching forth thy hand to heal and that signs and wonders may be done and then to heal and that the signs and ones will be done by the name of the holy child jesus the bible says and when they prayed there was a shaken in the place and everyone who was a symbol was filled with the holy ghost and spake the word of god with boldness do you see what happened right here and here in other words they got a second where the same wind blew in the upper room in acts chapter two with the same wind blowing again in act shot before there was a phrase that becomes so familiar especially as those that relates to attract me it's the phrase or second win it's often experienced by a runner who's run until they've reached the point of exhaustion typically just before they catch that second wind most runners feel like their lungs are about to explode and every muscle in their body is on fire telling them to quit then all of a sudden psychological but regardless of the cause of it there is no disputing that this fact actually happens i'm here to tell this church that god is sending a second win to his people many people have feel you're at the point of exhaustion many people feel like i can't take it no more is it worth living this thing for god should i live my life out in the world but don't you forget how good god has been prophet said in the last days he's going to try to wear out the saints church we're living in the last days he can't wear us out because god has invested too much into his church that's why jesus when the prophet will say a word from god but when god himself makes the declaration in other words he's saying devil i wish you would because i'm building this church i'm laying the foundation i'm breath out of you but can i tell you that breath is life breath is symbolic of the holy ghost if you have no life then you're no spirit to the devil the valley of the dry bones was no threat to the devil but when the breath of god began to blow there stood a mighty army to plunder hell 120 discouraged followers of jesus was in an upper room in jerusalem we're no threat to the devil but all of a sudden a rushing mighty wind of god began to blow and it filled them all but the holy ghost the devil is not afraid of our programs but the devil what gives them nightmares and sends shockwaves through the hell's case is a church when everything we do is driven by the wind of god when the blows everything changes when the wind blew in the book of genesis an earth that was dark and void suddenly came to life trees and grass and birds and fish and animals suddenly came into being there was nothing it was a wind from god that divided the red sea from the children of israel to crossover disciples were gathered together in prayer and because of their faith because of their boldness because of their testimony of jesus they have been persecuted they have been persecuted and they have been threatened and commanded not to preach or teach anymore in the name of jesus but instead of gathering together complaining and comparing their wounds they pray essentially what they said was god we need more power god we need a double dose that's where acts 4 and 29 comes into the picture they got a second win they got a refilling they got a fresh anointing they got fresh fire they got fresh baptism then in chapter 5 and 12. we reading by the hands of the apostles were many signs and rot amongst the people don't be like demons don't walk away from the don't walk away from the truth i know it gets hard sometimes i know it's easy to complain i know it's easy to say what's not being done all but can we get a spirit of acts chapter 4 and find ourselves in the upper room and cry out to god
