a problem in the shower

[Music] [Music] my soap keeps falling out of the soap area in the shower [Music] i thought a soap dish might solve the [Music] problem but then the soap dish kept filling up with gross soapy goo water [Music] to fix that i put some drainage holes in the soap dish [Music] so but then soap coagulated in the drainage holes preventing them from working then it dawned on me that i didn't need the ditch at all just the tray [Music] problem solved [Music] i spent a week of my life working on this in august 1939 hitler can stand by the long aggression world war ii documentary so in one of my world war ii history books i read about how at the height of germany versus russia evil hitler versus stalin is also kind of evil at the peak of that with like thousands of troops dying every day that hitler once spent like two weeks fixating on what the uniforms of his troops should look like and around the same time stalin wasted like 10 days or something like that fixating on what the shape of the bayonet should look like two inconsequential decisions that these military leaders evil especially in hitler's case very evil military leaders were fixated on that was ultimately like a distraction from super important things so where i'm going with this is this like a week um fixating on a soap dish i find myself like obsessing about little meaningless inconsequential things in life more and more and i think that i seek these distractions because every time i like look at twitter or watch news on tv or anything like there's so much crazy stress and tumult happening in the world that to focus on fixing um a soap dish is a really satisfying safe thing to think about [Music] it's a sunday and sundays are usually just like us and the girls but today um candace is trying out like a new babysitter like somebody to help us out and candace asked me to like give the babysitter some space with the kids so i have like a free afternoon uh candace asked me to put together this swing set but this is one of 12 boxes and i just just don't think i want to do that put it together there's no way there's also a wasps nest in my neighbor's yard that i've been meaning to relocate but that's a project for another day [Music] i mean it's a beautiful day for the beach ready ready [Music] whoa hey how was it with your sister did you put together [Music] you

Pretty sure Casey is over-enunciating his words in the shower scene so he could easily re-record them on a mic afterwards and match them up - they’re ever so slightly out of sync. Clever idea though - would be a nightmare trying to record audio with the noise of the shower and the water everywhere
