day five in Vietnam day two in hoan at the hoan Memories Resort let's go check out the breakfast bar look how pretty Kim looks no not today every day I want fbba tiny Bowl you can have this one eggs I like got watermelon dragon fruit this is called sausage but I'm going to guess it's just salami F salami looks like salami I forgot what everything is banana bread carrot cake yogurt with Peppa walnuts and strawberry jam and of course got to get F we'll go back round too K needs your eggs two eggs eggs and soy sauce two eggs in the morning want to run down the itinerary eat breakfast eat breakfast go into the ancient Town what were yesterday coffee go shopping some more buy some things like knickknacks and then get Ben me F which is like the famous bis Spa in and then around 2:30 we're going to go back to the tailor shop from yesterday and get to try on our clothes that we made cool we're going to the hoan memory show show dinner at 700 show at 8 and then 9:30 9 to 9:30 they start boarding people onto the boat we go straight from the show to the boat full day got to eat up yeah get your calories in we're in a hotel lobby Kim's grabbing some tickets for the hoyan memory show later tonight they're probably the most expensive thing that we've done so far here but we've only heard good things about it everyone's been raving about how awesome the show is it's where're there's three tiers of tickets so there's like the basic tier there's like the you know next tier I don't know what they call they call like the high tier and then there's like the VIP tier we just got the high tier uh I think it's $28 per person which for a show ticket in the US it's very very cheap in Vietnam it's like the most expensive thing we've done so far but it's still pretty cheap I think we're doing this later tonight too the memories cruise on the H Hoy River it's um 120,000 per person a little less than $5 a person for a little boat ride on the river that's pretty great we'll do that release lanterns for peace on the river we don't take cabs anymore sit L's only cim as usual is on photographer Duty never get tired of this River yesterday we were Bing along this path all the way into kind of like the all the way past this Resort and into the local area and then um I got I'm not exaggerating I counted I got 20 mosquito bites all over your chest all on my chest now we're in the chaos this is the chaos part of ancient town where there's tons of uh scooters and sit losos and people and cabs just hustling and bustling and somehow not crashing into each other but we'll hang out here we'll go shopping and then we'll go into the areas that are a little more quiet well they're not quiet there just no cars allowed yeah a little bit more peaceful until you get to the bridge we're walking down the uh alleys again a different alley than last time this is a lantern making class really pretty look LA Burger or is it LA Burger La Burger La Burger only in La it's a la Burger another Lantern making class another Lantern making class I think this is a lantern Street this is a lantern Lantern making alley in Vietnam the stores on the first floor and then the upstairs is the house we found out that these go really far back so not only is the second floor house but usually the first floor is house too it's just the front right here as you can see just the front right here's a shop and then the building goes all the way back that's all house second floor and third floor is all house too hello another Lantern making class the Patagonia is really cute These are nice how much does this bu you 220 uh hi hi 350 that is the good price for you 350 for two 350 yeah okay yeah thank you um no no bag no bag no b no B 340 340 340 okay come on come on you come on come on you all right we got two cross bodies so we got my mommy a cross body but it's kind of for me um I just wanted one that was a little more low profile than Mine mine's like really bulky that's for Korea not for here and then Kim got her neon blue is it neon blue yeah neon green Patagonia so we got them for like $6.80 each I think that's the right price $6 80 cents each that's pretty good go check out some sneakers how much did I buy this for 130 yeah yeah yeah yeah found this is pretty good this is actually like the real dry fit all right no fruit for us no fruit no fruit we brought we keep buying fruit and not eating it all and then also we keep getting free fruit from the resort so we have like a whole stash of fruit those shoes are actually good price yeah $36 for those New Balances yeah I would buy a pair but I already have a pair some of those are like obviously fake like the uh Jordans felt really rough but the New Balance I think that's uh spot on yeah yeah that of bikes there's a lot of stuff but it's really well organized it's really organized in a in a grid and it's hectic think there's a lot of stuff but it's actually pretty clean or pretty you know I don't know if clean's the right word uh it's very organized organized is the right word it's not messy these are cute I like this were you looking for a notebook it's like kind of a Nala we got scrunchies this is a girl store oh no it's a man store too Kim used to work at a paper store is that right yeah so she's going to ooh oh this is nice it's nice paper yeah Kim's going to make a custom book right now so she's picking out the book cover and she's also going to pick out the type of paper that goes inside the cover page the bindings all that stuff let me get on Kim's umbrella a little bit I got a Crouch do you have an umbrella too grab yours I do but I'm also holding the camera I got a Crouch you need like a backpack umbrella you can wear one on your back yeah yeah yeah no you know I I need one of those umbrella hats yeah hat that was a very good store cuz that's the first store that I've seen that does it like that so I would cuz some stores you you can kind of already see they just buy it and they sell it but at least there you know they're making it so I'm okay buying it there cuz it feels it actually feels C so a lot of times you'll see places that look like specialty or artisanal shops and then you'll get kind of tricked into buying something and you walk down 2 ft and there's like three other shops selling the exact same stuff and you're like a shoot oh no they're they're knocking off uh this is shepher Perry if we sit we have to drink if we drink we have to pee if we pee we have to buy something else to pee yeah so once you once you pick a spot you drink you have to pick another spot again it's a vicious cycle yeah so hold off on the uh coffee as long as possible all right we got a pair of New Balance shoes for about 30 bucks we got them to throw in the socks probably overpaid by a little bit overpaid overpaid but I think I think we could have got like 750 if I really talked to her yeah we could have but but you gave up I'm kind of in the mindset right now it's really hot I want to sit in a cafe and I don't want to sit there for uh to argue over an extra dollar oh was $2 right yeah yeah we could have knocked off like $2 but I'm spending like $10 a day on coffee so look at the doggy do where's doggy oh where's the dog why are all the dogs so short they got stubby legs it's Vietnam we're all short Something In The Water here we lack we lack the nutrients Something In The Water here is the no nutrients the rest of the body grows but something you want to go to that nice coffee shop that we saw last night all right Kim's got to go pet this stubby doggy this is the short leg Club short Club short leg Club hey doggy I got short legs too he looks like my old hey doggy I got short legs too you going to bite you JP like get away from me do you have food no cute look how this shop has this little mini ramp here for uh mopeds it's probably when the uh workers come home they ride up this thing with their mopeds parking in the back none of the shops here are like low quality is that make sense like all the shops are really well put together clean have really nice stuff it's just a really nice Ambiance look at those North a jackets that one cute the white one yeah this is towards bunme right okay let's walk towards bunme and then uh bunme is back is one street and then down oh okay oh this is a cafe right here yeah this is option this is cute Cafe they have teas here too there's the upstairs as well we St upstairs want to go here yeah you want to take a look upstairs see if there's any good good advice upstairs yeah you want sounds interesting orange cold brew this how to make Vietnamese coffee so they add hot water this is DEC Contraption called the fin fin filter this pushed down you pour water in it's a it's a French press it's a fren but it Vietnamese yeah it's like a Vietnamese French Press it's pretty cool so that's the Finn coffee filter it's really similar to a French press obviously this Vietnam was a uh French Colony Once Upon a Time so there's a lot of French influence so B is made from baguettes the fin filter is very similar to a French press this one's orange C brew and this is the um lii C Brew K that sounds good yeah yeah K so no ice I've never had orange C Brew it's my first C Brew in Vietnam too m too actually I don't think I've ever smells like orange really it's very interesting it's a very light coffee so the coffee flavor is very light but then the orange flavor shine through it's a little bit more of a sour orange and sweet orange but very refreshing so this is what is this baby um that one is this is the orange the one your auntie order glowing skin glowing skin and then that one's tropical detox detox this one's a lii liy Cobo oh this one's like a dessert really it's nice no I think it's a good size David's reapplying sunscreen something you got to do every 2 three hours especially in Vietnam it sweats a lot also cuz he doesn't use an umbrella like me so he has to I'm not fashionable enough for umbrella also it's cuz he's filming so he doesn't have a hand for umbrella and a camera I'm also holding all the bag not today we B everybody a cross body today so everyone can hold their own stuff when we were on the marble Mountain I was holding everyone stuff I was on meal Duty now everyone gets their own bags I actually really like this Cafe right on the corner people watch moments moments where is it you can't really see it moments back to wandering around the streets so much to see best deal in Vietnam is right here best deal in Vietnam buy one bag get one free beer for your husband he deserves it that's that's marketing right there that's a pretty store well I feel like I'm saying that every time we walk into any store I don't think we've walked into a store yet that isn't a pretty store you know it's fake alligator well obviously it's fake alligator but it's um it's the embossed I mean even if you go to YSL it's fake alligator right the reason why is because in Vietnam there are a lot of alligator so if you go to certain areas you can actually find real all in uh Hanoi that's where I was going to buy alligator skin there this is a real alligator you can tell by the grain it also feels completely different but Kim made this for me for my birthday completely different my favorite thing about Vietnam is all the plants I love all the plants we're going to [Music] B I don't know it's up or down my cousin's name is but my teammate's name is f but it spelled the same but with different accents we you going to B me f or B Fong we're not sure what the accent is that's the uh most famous bunm place in hoan because Anthony Bourdain went there rest in peace I don't think I've ever had a bunme in my life that I didn't thoroughly enjoy so I'm Sure I'll like this one oh no line me me no that goes up BME that's an apostrophe it has a DOT on the o ah they making a bunme here so you got all the uh veggies that go into all the bunme but there's also the different meats that go into each ones you got pork chicken sausage Pate different sauces depending on what you order and they're making it in record speed you can see they get not only is this place packed but they get a bunch of orders on grab so they're constantly [Music] delivering who all these people they're not all enemies people did you bring a baby picture you put under here all so we're all getting bunme yeah bunme is about $150 each there's Anthony Bordain right here rest in peace barbecue pork they got ostrich we don't want you don't want that you just want the normal stuff uh let's get a pate they all have Pate oh they all have Pate Pate is just the spread that they why is it five star is that the most famous that's the most famous want to get some fruit juice let's get some watermelon juice all right I love watermelon juice two watermelon watermelon juice is so expensive in Korea two coconut two at two watermelon two watermelon [Music] okay [Music] good the bread is really good we got four bunme sandwiches two coconuts two watermelon juice the total came out to $10 [Music] exactly of course we got to eat the coconut meat oh it's not that soft no it's still a little [Music] hard that's got to be uh one of the favorite meals I've had so far B is my maybe my favorite Vietnamese food I would have eaten two I kind of wanted to eat two I could eat two a little more shopping before we go back to the tayor shop to the Tor shop yeah why don't we do that we didn't realize it but we're actually really close to the tailor shop that we were at yesterday so we're going to walk in that direction and Shop in that direction and then we don't have to take a sit low even though we like taking sit lows we're just going to walk there instead we're back at the Taylor shop this time we're in the upstairs in the changing and fitting section there uh this thing goes on forever I think it's like four or five floors yeah this is a really nice too yeah it's one of the nicest tailor shops here they have three floors and their second floor is all fitting rooms like huge glass and a lot of sunlight it's less than 24 hours yes but we're a little special we are we got a little special treatment special but we got a lot of pieces I think we got like 30 pieces total I'm going to try everything on and adjust it I guesso I'm excited David's doing a fitting of his first set in the blue the blue is really cute I like the blue the blue blue is your color this color is so cute it fits your skin well you got same thing right yeah it's like your under tone your skin is nice Kim forgot to record I was too busy enjoying the show but I tried on all the clothes they look really nice I don't think I can wear anything that's not tailored anymore I think I'm spoiled now Kim's very happy with my tailor tailored clothes I'm very happy with my tailored clothes I'm very very happy with my tailored clothes pants you wear them around I would wear those pants often yeah I got blue salmon matching set short sleeves short pants and uh two black shirts and a white uh linen pants and uh beige linen pants great Basics I think my mom's really enjoying this experience because now she's picking out some more stuff there's a shirt that my aunt's wearing that my mom really likes they're going to leave the shirt here and they're going to copy the pattern make the exact same shirt in some different materials and their turnaround is like one or two days really fast really cool so if you guys want to come here in hoan i' stop by this place called T Taylor here you can screenshot that and get the address it's uh if you can't see it then just go across from this Starbucks the yellow Starbucks I hope there's not a bunch of yellow Starbucks I hope this is the only one getting closed done is exhausting we got to get some Starbucks I think I'm the only one that wants Starbucks this is our first Starbucks in Vietnam normally I wouldn't go to a Starbucks but it's a pretty Starbucks in hyan ah it's full of Koreans all right let's look at these me prices strawberry aside with lemonade that sounds good 87,000 that's like three bunm or three or four bunm depending on where you get it for a Grande strawberry as lemonade hold Brew is 77,000 the is dong about $3 oh I hope they accept card they have to accept card I'm out of cash it's not the same price it's still the most expensive coffee in Vietnam but it's like $3 for a c Brew cobw is I think Grande cobw in the US is I think like five bucks maybe a little bit more five or six bucks so it's about half a price [Music] what are they fighting about what are they fighting about I don't know fighting about something you know people say that when people when Koreans talk when people speak Korean they sound like they're fighting but not as much as Vietnamese Vietnamese people always sound like they're fighting Vietnamese people tell me Korean always sounds like fighting I'm like no they're usually fighting they're they're actually fighting but vietnames it really sounds like they're fighting the Vietnam Instagram [Music] that baby this one has clothes this has clothes cat good spot back on the S though and they're never here they're at like a crowded area here not even no back on the S low heading back to the hotel to the resort we're gonna shower rest a little bit get ready for the [Music] show it's always fun it's like a little Joy Ride shower rest yeah relax 6:00 we go and then we go to the show sun set so suddenly we're trying to figure out dinner we were going to eat at this really really really awesome venue awesome looking venue that was in the I don't even know what to call it like a theme park um where the show is going to be but we looked online and the reviews were really sus like there were a bunch of five star reviews and a bunch of onar reviews and we reading the onar reviews and they said the food was really bad and we were reading the five-star reviews and they said the five star reviews were really sketchy some were like just not related to restaurant at all so we think that they were fake reviews or people that were incentivized to leave reviews so we thought we we play it safe also there was a picture of a cockroach in one of the foods so that was like nope that's a hard no for us we're trying to figure out what to do for food we see people eating at the resort so we think that maybe we can eat here we're trying to figure it out they said we need like a meal ticket if not we'll just go out and find something simple to eat we just want something easy and convenient so that we can get to the show on time and not have to worry about it we have 2 hours oh no we have an hour and a half we're just playing safe figed out the food situation we're just going to eat that at the resort um it seemed like most people had a meal included with their room we didn't have that option so we were kind of confused but we figured it out we can pay there's an allart menu and there's a set menu we're paying $9 each for the set menu it's like five courses it's pretty great it's expensive for Vietnam but it's really expensive yeah it's really expensive for Vietnam $9 each but it's a set menu it's a lot of courses and it's also the convenience we're at the resort we also can trust this place cuz we've been eating breakfast here every morning and the food is solid so we know that dinner's going to be solid as well it's also packed here show spread big bowl of white rice we individually got some of these noodles with salad and some broth some meat some fish some bok choy some other meat chicken chicken chicken and a and a big broth big thing of soup good spread is this everything yeah okay let's eat let's feast so the hoan Memories Resort like 3/4 of the island is a theme par called hant Impressions theme park feels like it now the vibe is different we walked around last night and there were zero people except for the workers there was Zero people and it felt really creepy felt like an abandoned Park so I think it's free to walk in I don't know if it's free year round but it's free right now to walk in it's pretty cool there's shops and restaurants and street food and we did ask around to try to get a gauge of the prices and they are pretty pretty inflated prices Kim's buying tickets for the boat ride so I'm on camera Duty now gim's here all good yeah there was a long line to buy the ticket check out this Lantern tree that's cool can you walk up there yeah oh you can Lantern tree pretty that's a thumbnail we're going to be taking one of these boats after the show it's definitely a lot of like very instagrammable spots for photos it does feel completely artificial but it is a resort it is still pretty fun as long as you're having fun yeah there's like um you know there's like Instagram place that you go to and it's like not fun but you just do it for the photo here's pretty fun hello like subscribe tag two friends you can't tag friends on YouTube can you actually you can oh tag three friends we were going to eat at this restaurant it is pretty empty considering how cool it looks wow not expecting this this is not what we were expecting but check out the stage I don't even know if you can call it a stage it's like a set this is all part of the this is all part of the show [Music] awesome it was really pretty a lot of dancing singing choreography the set was not what I was expecting I think the whole way that they set it up was pretty amazing definitely worth a visit in terms of story I have no idea what's happening what was happening but it was pretty and the dancing was nice I would go again I'd take people there I'd go if I were you show was a success now we're heading to another boat to ride the boat and we can f lanterns in the water oh we got to put lanterns in the water one thing we learned about Vietnam Vietnam they love their LED lights their string lights of course it was all over the show too yeah LED lights all over the boats it is pretty Kim's leading Kim said this boat's better yeah you see the difference this is more comfortable anyway H and memories land that's where we watch the show and that's where we are staying we got our lanterns got blue I got yellow all right Kim just explained the story to me it's a very pretty Story the men used to go out on month-long fishing trips for long times months at a time and the women would stay home and they'd be sad cuz they don't know if their husbands are going to come home safely their husbands or Sons so what they would do at night in case the men are trying to come home at night they would light these lanterns and place them in the river and let it flow out to the ocean so that the men could find their way home because it was dark and that's the story behind it it's very sweet very sweet would you light a lantern for me yes got you [Music] don't it go in there I put I put mine all the way over there [Music] okay oh good placement baby he's trying to push it so it doesn't touch the boat success find your way home to who to me oh you're a fisher woman I'm a fisher woman they went all the way over there they're all over there each other all awkwardly and you can look out sideway we did the boats in ancient town and it was really fun but we didn't do the lanterns cuz it was so crowded that all the boats were just running over each other's lanterns and drowning them and we just felt like it wasn't that fun of an experience uh but I'm so glad that we got to do it here it's a lot more peaceful we got to take our time and now we get a little boat ride that's our Villa right there come on Vietnam day five Haan day two in the back you tell that I'm having like the time of my life are you having fun mhm I'm having fun thank you Kim for planning everything and booking everything we got day six tomorrow the Adventures Continue we're not laying off we got plenty more days here keep
