know a place to eat a Cowa I show you I show you real Vietnam real Cowa but it little bit far from here okay I show you maybe you one in here they are like traditional they make very delicious okay and they little bit cheaper in the old town I go for this now I think I just lost my bearing oh my gosh I don't even know why I'm walking out see I got a GPS now straight ahead now I've got my is one of the best cows you could find in hoan and it's outside of the hoan village we going give it a try here it is our very first tast in hoyen made with thick noodles sliced pork barbecue bean sprouts lettuce and herbs the most famous dish in hyand cow okay so I was told by the local that there's a br underneath here so you have to mix it thoroughly like this and then you dig in I'm not sure if I'm just starving or this Cowa tastes really good all I can say is the best they open at 700 in the morning and close at 7:00 in the evening so find your way here Cow Town good overall that was a good place to eat if you're looking for cow this is also cheap it only cost us 50,000 for the big bowl and 30,000 for the small bowl me and Sheila are not yet full because this is our first meal something is no other than the banme queen herself Madame K this delectable creation typically consists of a crispy baggot filled with a variety of ingredients like Savory Meats fresh vegetables early morning allowing you to save time and cover as many areas as possible during the golden hour with just a few people on the road the ancient Town feels distinctly different compared to nighttime don't we start our adventure already for our first mission let's tackle the thrill of riding a trailing basket boat so right now we're going to H coconut that's where our meeting point is we did our bookings with clue we're going to cycle all the way to Han coconut that's right we're going to cycle there the distance from the hoan ancient town to the location is about 5.5 km so it's going to be says 1 hour plus if you're walking so for those who have a bike it's half of the time guys if you're thinking grab it's probably about 10 minutes of course we chose to use the bike so that we absorve more of its uh what you call nature and then the journey and everything so it was really a good ride very smooth I didn't feel any strain on my muscles right yes so anyways let's go on we go so this is the main highlight guys this is why we come to hoen this is why we came in this is what we're after the experience that we're looking for is this basketball check it out there we got happy locals different type of uh breed say it's a water coconut yeah it's a water coconut so it's called mea pans so I'm going to order one so me and Sheila can give it uh a taste why did they call it coconut as well after soaking up the sun of course we deserve a cold dessert so why don't we try these so-call Nipa fruticans which are so special in this area very nice it's like caramelized coconut wow this is a surprise it does taste like coconut plus P give it a try we have this in Philippines we call it makao makao yeah makao remember now yes so good and that was an amazing experience everyone so what can I say it was worth money plus it was really cheap if you do it in CL so you save the hassle in bargaining your price here when you come for your boat ride so this is a must do when you come to hoen um the entire experience would cost about uh 16 USD plus tips and everything plus the coconut drink I had so was not was not bad it was really cheap plus we really got a whole experience out of it the boat spinning earlier was very tiring I could really feel my muscles all strain when I was holding myself my dear life on the boat they really got got you spinning and you get dizzy from doing that so that was really experience you should try that but it's an additional 50,000 they they ask you for a specific tip for it other than that the fishing and the the singing and all is up to you whether you want to give tips or not but of course it will help a lot if you give a little bit even a small small amount also they're very very happy if you give him something anyways let's go back to hoan ancient Town let's go and experience the historical sites let's go but wait it's also time for lunch so before heading to the ancient town we looked for a place to have rice and lo and behold we found an enticing shop by the roadside what could this be from it's the chicken rice version of Vietnam it's made of um yellow rice dried um shredded chicken some herb and onion and the soup um I think not everyone can eat this because the taste is a bit strong plus it has a blood so it reminds me of tinola in the Philippines it's actually exactly the same so I can take that I can take it for me it's okay it's nice but for faral he really doesn't like it ancient town all right so we're back here in ancient town hen and I've got myself my tickets because if you want to visit one of the important sites here in hoen he got five landmarks down here of which one is very famous the Japanese cover bridge unfortunately I noticed is under renovation right now so it'll be closed for a few years I'm not sure when they're going to open but uh for those who are visiting right now the year 2023 and 2024 you will not have the opportunity to see it as it is like in the photo but that's it's okay end of the day they say we can still go in and visit the place so we're going to try and visit all this and the best part is the ticket is for the whole entire State when you are in hyan so you just have to purchase it one time it's only 120,000 dong which is equivalent $5 per person so now rather than wasting time let's go and experience hen's important landmarks let's go I can say you've never truly been to hoen if you don't get to know hoen right here in the ancient town is the very heart where it history unfolds the main reason why this town was inscribed in the world Heritage list on 1999 why it's now a wonderful Living Museum of architecture and urban lifestyle hoan ancient Town offers at least 20 Heritage sites for you to visit like this one a traditionally Assembly Hall for the Chinese ethnic group from fujian China socialize and worship fukan Assembly Hall all right so we've reached our third location muang familyes Chapel let's go among the old houses that you can visit is this a unique Relic that not only shows the characteristics of an ancient hoyan architecture but also a destinational historical and literary stories there's a guide inside to explain every detail of the house like this Japanese design door plus window oh there are also lots of old books paintings old coins and various artifacts which in fact makes it feel like you're in a museum all right this is the communal House of mean w Min Wang communal house exp communal houses like Min Wong served as Center for religious cultural and social activities in hayan mwang played a vital role as a hub for the mwang community a group of Chinese Merchant and residents who settled in the city during its prosperous trading era that's it for visiting Hans historical sites yep so you guys are in favor of history museums and all culture this is the things you can do here in the historical site will cost you $120,000 or equivalent to $5 all right let's go for some food really famish right now see how expensive you can get if you eat in the main Center the past few days we've been eating outside of town which is about 1 to 2 km outside we're having a simple seaf fried rice and fur with some mango juice and uh local beer all of this already cost about almost $20 compared to what I usually have with Chila outside from the main town all their local food which will only cost you on average about5 to6 us that comes with coffee and tea $6 two or $20 for twoo you do the man anyways let's have my dinner now going have tee d h some Vietnam local beer as night falls let's embark on a magical Boat Ride Along the Hoy River so we've got ourselves uh booked for a boat here tonight here at the boy River we got ours with cl and apparently it's not actually that easy to find this place if you to CL because they will message you and where to meet so luckily we found a place he told us to meet him at this ATM now we're waiting for the guy to come fet us here CL oh yeah cl cl yeah yeah we found him I would say this is one of the most touristic things you would do here in hen I can see why there's a lot of people it's actually really beautiful and we haven't even experienced yet the entire River but just starting already itself already we we are soaking in that that that magical night it's time to put the Lantern on the river okay all right and you did you make a wish you are supposed this ride it will take you 20 minutes to go from the start to the end of that River and the uturn and come back to where we we defeted us was a romantic ride at would say there's your couples coming very hungry right now so I'm going to get some coffee and some bun me let's go before we set out on today's extensive bike journey of course let's indulge first in a hearty breakfast to fuel our making my way to Anan beach before we even get down there I'm going to first go and experience the stra village just on the way before I make my way to un Beach so let's go oh my god oh look check out the market right now we're in the countryside of poan and the best part we have our own bicycle lane see them BL W hello Hi friend hello friend my uncle [Music] hell 20 M away almost there turn left all right so we reached our second pit stop here and it's tra Village also one of another tourist things to do here if you come to hoen what I can say is that it is very large green from what I understand is that uh they say that hoen gets most of his vegetable from this uh Plantation here so it's really beautiful if you're coming for something peaceful and quiet this is the place to pass by especially in the morning it's not too hot so we are really enjoying the breeze right now and seeing the farmers do their job and this are the few activities that they offer here they have a farming tour cooking class food massage experiential uh program for students vegetable Village Specialties and coffee and all kinds not bad so this is probably there's a fee for this I'm not sure what's the fee because we came in from the back way of the highway that we making our way to anban but before we get down there let's first go and explore this uh Greenery and then we make our way to anban beach so let's come let's go check out what there is to see down here I'm not sure if there's a fee to pay for a ticket because I came from the back way but if they do ask me to pay for a ticket then we'll anban Beach let's go just another pit stop on the way to anbang is this uh Bridge it reminds me of the back Waters of carala you look it down there check it out [Music] beautiful now we really getting there yeah it's huge I think it's good for surfing though I see some people do paddle paddle yeah paddle boarding yeah paddle boarding and then there's a fisherman down there in the middle of the sea and some people swimming but I find it that it's quite strong current so I'll probably not jump in today it's not really the season right now to visit anbang I read it online but I still see some three doing their sunbathing and swimming and we noticed after passing by the restaurants the prices for food and drinks is times three than what we had normally from the main ancient town right yeah yeah it's quite expensive down here we're not going to eat here I will definitely eat back in town because in here it's too expensive so we'll be on a budget here we just come to absorb the beach Vibes and after that head back to Haan this is the bigger version of the basketball we had at the coconut Forest try to do the spinning thing with this from all my travels around the world I can see that a lot of the countries have a very distinctive features of their boats like in Vietnam you can see it's like a bowl in the Philippines they have the two sides of it and every boat in Bangladesh especially I will never forget that Moon shaped boat I don't even know how it goes through the sea and then in Malaysia it's just that normal boat so for all the viewers down there which country you they call it Rose dumplings because the shape of it really looks like a rose you see it's not made out of Rose but the shape of it looks like a rose highly recommended all right guys there was a lovely lunch the white rose dumpling I highly recommend it's very close to unbun so now I'm headed back to the ancient town to get grab ourselves some coffee here when you come to Vietnam their coffee is number one go it's time for coffee once again but what we're about to experience is far from ordinary this place has a rich history dating back to the French colonial times upon entering you'll be greeted by the cafe and inside always the distinguished fourstar Historic Hotel we're not here for the hotel though so let's proceed and enjoy our coffee and we arrived at the coffee shop and was recommended by our Homestay owner which is called Sun poen I'll leave in the description below for you to find this place one of the best coffee shops I would say recommended by our local so this is what we found unique on their menu it's got like a milk if I'm not mistaken looks like condensed milk and black coffee so let's give it a mix a steer and wow very sweet and thick perfect to wake up for the day m okay so I'm recharged caffeinated all that was a good coffee now we're going for some cultural performance show which tells you a story about hoan's history let's go hold time as we are far from concluding Our Journey Through Time almost there guys so what I can say is that look at the cultural performance location it has its own Island and there beautiful buildings on that represents hoyan from the distinctive color as you can see which is quite similar to the ancient town so they painted all in yellow and I'm really amazed with the bridge it really gives you that see all of the people uh whe doing their normal day locals having a seat and foreigners enjoying the coffee Vietnam is really known for its coffee so these are the things that you get to do this place was actually recommended To Us by Mrs bu and she told us that we should come here to have coffee early in the morning for Sunrise and drink coffee with with the locals but we couldn't find it on our second day here so we missed it that's okay end of the day since we're here already we've done the first on the second so I highly suggest this is the third place to visit if you're here in the ancient town okay come early though yeah because if you come early there's no people like this one there's not much tourist and you can enjoy the view of the river by yourself and with a few people but I managed to get a video of it early this morning when we pass time going to the yeah going to Chick Chila so let's show them how it looks like now this is how it looks like this is how it looks he taught us how to eat the puncha since it's our first time and apparently this food is very famous in Hanoi so this shop is already recently open so it's about one year was that one year in operation but the one actually that was famous is in Hanoi so it's been operating for almost 9 years the owner is so kind that he even tried helping us arrange a transfer to Danang after having some bua let's go wash down with some m m is a special H herbal drink made mainly from lime and lemon grass and some other herbs so let's go try it I'm not sure what's so special about this but everyone everybody's talking about it and this is the most famous spot right here at the ancient town so let's go by let's go inside well consider yourself lucky if you find a seat inside how many [Music] help eat this is decoration this is decoration it's got lime lemon Sarai there some Sarai Essence into it lemongrass lemongrass yeah it's nice it's nice thing nice about this it the presentation so pretty it's nice but I find it too sweet though refreshing oh dear we had too much cofffe today we had three coffees and then the moth oh my gosh but we have already covered a so many things for you to do here in hyan but to be honest there's a lot more that's right that's right so now we're headed to Danang final Pit Stop of our hoyen trip all right so I'm looking forward to one of the famous attractions there which is the Golden Bridge so now that ends our trip here in hoyen let's head back to the hostel and catch our ride as they were bringing us now to Danang so let's go so if you guys are looking for accommodation here in hyan Center I will highly recommend this place lavilla Homestay why it's because the first thing is because it's on if you're on a budget or if you're a Backpacker this place will will not hurt the bank second it is only 300 M from the hoyen ancient town during our stay here we've met one of the most Pleasant and I would say most hospitable person who has given us their their authentic experience out of Vietnam culture I would say very friendly and then they really give you good recommendations of the place so you can ask her any types of question about the area where to go where to drink where to eat where to visit she'll get you the best deals as well sometimes it's even cheaper than the websites that you can find I'm not I'm not kidding right she she also organizes the tour for you yes so she does airport transfers and everything that tours tours especially especially yeah yeah so let me introduce to you the owner her name is Mrs toy hello hi so this is her so if anything you need from her you can just find her in this counter and she'll be there to entertain you guys here in lavilla Homestay I'll leave the link in the description below for you guys to find this place all right you can find on bookings Agoda and Expedia so why wait come to Haya now get the experience that you're looking for the ancient town where Modern meets ancient all right let's go another thing you guys can do when visiting hoan is to do a day trip to Danang and witness the Dragon Bridge so what's so special about this is that in every Saturday and Sundays they will do a special show where the bridge blows up fire so it shows its purpose as a dragon so fire will be blow going out later here at 9:00 p.m. so this is only happens every Saturday and Sunday 9:00 p.m. and we go on for 10 minutes so this is something to experience and we're doing this is our last day uh visiting hyan it's the best way to do this because it's already close to the airport so might as well just make this is our last trip of 3 2 1 boom amazing there you have it people so that's the Dragon Bridge show after it blows out fire blows out water for those who are
