sharing and absolutely we have a message worth sharing and giving to all the world you'll hear that in this lesson so i know you'll want to stay tuned with us and even though it's coming to the end of these lessons you still may not have those guides yet and i'm just going to encourage you to go ahead and get those and the reason i'm going to encourage you is because maybe you've missed quite a few or maybe you don't have them still yet but you can go back and get those and then you can study all of these lessons which will be a blessing to you you can get those by downloading them at 12 get everything that you need and get it together because it's going to move rather quickly as we begin we're going to talk about a message worth sharing and as i've studied this lesson it is a message worth sharing in fact it's to go into all the world and i'm excited about that so again welcome back and introduce the panel on to my left brother ryan day glad to have you i'm excited to be here going to be diving deep into the book of revelation my favorite book oh praise god and you have on your left there pastor john lo mccain nice that's right see as ryan just said when you step into revelation remember it says i john saul [Laughter] sounds good to me and on your left sister sister gio marconi thank you so much pastor kenny excited about the study today mm-hmm and who do you have on your left there it's it's like the new kid on the block jason brad yeah jason bradley yes and and happy to go on this journey amen we're glad to have you jason thank you so much for joining us i know god's going to give you some good insight in each one of you here as we go through this lesson we need to have prayer power and prayer right we've been learning that in these lessons have we not brother jason since you're here today would you offer prayer for us absolutely absolutely dear heavenly father we thank you for the wonderful opportunity and privilege to study your word and now we just ask for your holy spirit to lead guide and direct us into all truth in jesus name we pray amen amen praise the lord okay we'll go to the sabbath afternoon's lesson there we go to the memory text again this probably will be shared several different times but i'm telling you the more we hear it the more we're going to settle into our hearts and our minds and that we'll be able to recall that when god calls us to share it with someone else the memory text again is found in revelation chapter 14 verses 6 and 7. revelation 14 6-7 it reads like this it said then i saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven flying having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth every nation tribe tongue and people saying with a loud voice fear god and give glory to him for the hour of his judgment has come worship him who made heaven and earth and the sea and the springs of water what a familiar passage of scripture that should be to each one of us we should have not only just read it we should have be studying that in this hour that we are living in the key to sabbath afternoon in my opinion of studying the key is simply christ's death was meant for all people the message was meant to go into all the world and as our text said every nation and every kinder and every tongue and every people that's the good news that's the gospel of salvation that's the good news of jesus christ who came to deliver us from the penalty of sin that's i mean that's just good news today we have a redeemer we have a savior we have a a second chance right to get things right by the grace of god and of course those goes on on by his grace praise god for that book of revelation was written as this passage come from revelation 14 especially for the end time people we know that and so we should be studying and encourage other people to study it too not only is a revelation a prophecy and things that are come to pass but it just really points in it's a revelation of jesus christ we find jesus in the book of revelation let no one fool you and try to throw you off from that you find jesus you find what's happening you know even in the world today if you're a little confused what's going on get get into the book of daniel revelation god's going to help you to understand that we have a message to give to the world a message worth sharing and i believe that with all of my heart you know in sunday's lesson it's titled peter's present truth message now again this should not be anything that would upset anyone because there's such thing as present truth you know and we need to find out what present truth is and there's times that that needs to be interwoven with the messages that god gives his people here in these last days why because god has from we know from the very beginning sent special messages special points and periods of time and there was always to prepare a people for what was coming on this earth aren't you glad we have a friend aren't you god we have someone right who sits in the authority right on the throne and it lets us know what's soon to take place what's taking place even now in this world all the stuff we can have peace knowing that jesus is on the throne so don't be surprised so don't be caught we don't need to be caught off guard because the bible has said my passage of scripture is mentioned so many times amos chapter 3 verse 7 the bible just simply says surely the lord god will do what everything nothing oh thank you okay he will do nothing notice this but he revealeth his secrets unto him the servants the prophets this is a promise you know get in and get a hold of that promise god said i'm not going to do anything until i let you know first and then i'm going to reveal it now it's up to you to accept that revelation or not but god said i'm going to reveal it i don't want you caught off guard i don't want you to be fooled i don't want you to be deceived that's right you know i want you to know so that you can be prepared and then once you get prepared then you can help prepare others by the grace and strength and the power of god our lesson brings out several examples of what we just talked about of god warning before the event took place for instance before the flood these are maybe simple things but man they just hit home and they certainly hit the example for us before the flood god sent a message through whom through noah did he not basically that a flood was going to come the world was going to be destroyed now did he do it before the flood came absolutely you know genesis 6 you can read more about that when you have time uh number two there's another joseph joseph was raised to you know at the time to prepare for that seven years you remember yeah a plenty because there was going to be you know some rough times ahead so he was there four casts before in the word of god joseph i read one time or said joseph became the savior of egypt in the right way right he was the man of the hour genesis 41. three notice this the prophets and of course jesus himself talked about the destruction of jerusalem yeah don't be deceived you need to know these things are going on matthew 24. and then along comes john the baptist praise god for john the baptist he gave a message that we need today still yet but he gave a message of repentance to prepare a people for jesus first coming so don't you believe along with me that we need to hear that today it's the message that jesus is coming the second time it's we need to repent and get ourself right matthew chapter 3 because jesus is coming we believe that god has given a special message for these last days for the world it's going to test and it's going to prepare a people to meet him and it's called as we read in our memory text the three angels message of revelation 14 we talk about powerful words of scripture now this message and other important truths i believe can be called present truth this is what we're talking about present truth it can be called that second peter 1 verse 12 it simply says we need to be established in what and present truth we need to know in other words we need to we need to understand the hour that we're living in and that we've been studying here that god always before sent what he sent a warning so he's sending warnings today before the events take place so that we can know and so this would be present truth at least in my opinion this is present truth and then of course you read the in the second peter 1 19 it simply says because we have a more sure word of prophecy since the word of god is sure right as his throne is sure these things are going to take place whether you accept it or not whether you believe it or not or may i say nicely whether you want it or not these things are going to happen and we need to make sure that we read the word and get ready for these things that are taking place you know a question maybe could could be asked it said are the truths or the doctrines we hold today present truths there's been discussions about these things well we have present truth and everybody might have their own little take and so on about present truth and really what encompasses present truth well i found something in second testimonies 3 55. i pray that it'll be be a blessing to you and maybe give a little more important knowledge of things that maybe we need to be you know focusing on along with a lot of other but notice this we believe it starts out we believe without a doubt that christ is soon coming we believe without a doubt christ is coming there's no doubt in my mind that's right it's coming because it's just that's a sure word we know this is not a fable to us it is a reality notice this we have no doubt neither notices have we noticed a doubt about present truth for these years notice this the years that we've had the doctrines that we hold today are present truth maybe that's the bottom line the doctrines that we hold today as a movement could be classified and put into present truth of course because do we need all these absolutely we need all these messages today to warn the world why because we are preparing to meet jesus in the clouds of glory not going to go through all of the message but you've turned your bible already to revelation chapter 14 6 7 8 9 and 10 so on in there that's given the three angels message i might ask a question you know as we look at those messages is it paramount that we understand that they're present truth absolutely if we look at revelation 14. that's all i'm going to do is just discuss and just touch on them because there's a lot more discussion going to be on on these messages but if we said we saw an angel flying in the midst of heaven there's a message to be given to the world okay we under we say okay that's that's present truth the message is going to be preached to all the world that's present truth as far as i'm concerned this angel messenger said with the loud voice do what give glory right to him for the hour of his judgment has come that's right god's last day people present truth is that we are living what we're living in the hour of god's judgment we are living in this time if we had a real concept pastor at least in my opinion all of us here it seemed like we'd be doing more than we're doing i i don't know how people can do maybe some more than some of you don't seem like you're busy all the time but it seemed like there may be a little more urgency to it if we really believe that this is a judgment hour we've been here for many many years and soon it's going to be over with present truth we need to be hitting on that no doubt and then it says go back and worship the one made heavens and earth so we realize that we need to go back to the beginning and certainly bring forth what seventh day sabbath and that right you have to go back to the beginning worship the creator of heaven and earth so to me seventh day sabbath is present truth and then they're following another angel second just simply said babylon has fallen this fall and we have to follow why because she's drunk we understand it so once this message goes out and the people hear it should there not be a call to come out of her my people i believe i'm just making point this is present truth that's right you just don't give a message and give the truth and you just walk away you give a call you give it urgency and then compel them by the grace and the power of the holy spirit to come and to join in and then of course the third angel's message and last minute or so here it talks about that you know if any man worship the beast in his image and receive the mark in his hand and his forehead well they're in a lost condition to me that is present truth we have an obligation to warn the world what the mark of the beast is what the image of the beast is all about what's taking place in the world today that leads us to think not only with scripture but we see signs of the times are everywhere amen think about they're everywhere and so we need to grasp hold of these things and simply say now we're not saying every time every time every time but i at least in my opinion what i'm in prayer and again what i may be impressed with may not be what you i i know i get some letters and calls i understand that well you know you spend too much time on this and doom and gloom and you know you may not be impressed what i'm impressed with and you may not be impressed what i'm impressed with god impresses each one differently that's what makes it so good and so wonderful to have a balanced message and everybody doesn't give the same way see i'm starting to get excited about i got to calm down because i realized at least in my heart the urgency of this time why because our message today we have a message to give that's right and we need to give it to the world and we can only give it with the power the aid of the holy spirit that's right this represents a real message that we will be tested on i'm not even getting to all the stuff here but a message that god's people everybody will be tested on and we're going to have to match up to that by the grace of god why we believe the lord is coming and because we believe we have a message that's good and we need to give it to you preach it brother i'll get excited amen well you got me excited so i got to get excited amen praise the lord well hey i think you set a great foundation we're talking about in monday's lesson revelations in time focus now there's a lot to be said on this and the very little time that we have i'm going to do my best to emphasize that end time focus and so the lesson brings out in monday's lesson that while the second coming of jesus is referenced and talked about in the gospels it's not a major focus of emphasis in fact the majority of the focus is on christ's first advent now again it is reference it's talked about there are texts in the gospels about the second coming of jesus but if you really really want to find what the end time focus is by the time you get to these great apocalyptic books like daniel and revelation and more specifically in this case the book of revelation which means again revelation in the original greek there was apocalypses which means a revealing and unveiling of this beautiful last day truth that jesus wants to reveal to his people the it's certainly clear that one of the great major themes throughout the book of revelation is the second coming of jesus and we want to provide some evidence for that and look through some of these passages all the way through the book of revelation that reminds us of why we do evangelism yeah it reminds us of why we're here why we preach the gospel why we witness why we share jesus now with a sense of urgency with a sense of appeal with a sense of calling out and crying out for people to come to god now so i'm going to jump right into the first chapter of revelation and you can see seven verses into this jesus isn't holding anything back he's letting you know why he's given you this last day as brother kenny brought out present truth and this is for sure a present truth message notice what he says in revelation chapter 1 verse 7 he says behold he is coming with clouds and every eye will see him even they who pierce him and all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of him even so amen so i mean we have literally just walked through the front door we've pulled back the screen door we've kicked our shoes off we're trying to get comfortable and but we haven't even sit down yet and jesus is already saying hey let me remind you i'm coming soon and i'm not just coming soon i'm coming quickly so be ready another passage in the book of revelation that uh is quite fascinating and ironic to me is revelation chapter 6 verses 12 through 17 and this comes within the context of the the end part of the sixth seal and it's quite interesting when you read these verses because it's literally describing the return of jesus notice beginning in verse 12 all the way through to verse 17. it says i looked when he opened the sixth seal and behold there was a great earthquake and the sun became black as sackcloth and hair and the moon became like blood and the stars of heaven fell from the earth as a fig tree drops it's late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind so this is talking about those signs those great signs that are leading up to this great second coming event notice verse 14 then the sky receded as they scroll when it is rolled up and every mountain and island was moved out of its place and the kings of the earth the great men the rich men the commanders the mighty men every slave and every free man hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks and the mountains and it said to the rocks in the mountains uh fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the lamb for the great day of his wrath is coming who is able to stand and i find this quite ironic because in the original greek here the word for lamb is the word arneon and of course the the general word in the greek for lamb for instance in first i think it's john chapter 1 verse 29 when john sees jesus coming behold the lamb of god who takes away it's the word amnos which is a general there's a lamb there's a sheep but this here the word arneon is referencing christ as a baby pet lamb a small little baby lamb kin of the first year and so it's interesting that these men in judgment we're seeing clearly here that they're running as pastor brought out the previous lesson i loved it you know we don't want to be running to the rocks we want to run in from the rocks right out of the rocks they're running to the rocks and they're crying lord you know let him fall on us and hide us from the face of the baby pet lamb it's just ironic to envision but jesus is seen all the way through the book of revelation every time you see the word lamb it is he has seen john saw him in vision as a baby lamp and a lampkin of the first year appeared slain in revelation 5 before the throne of god which is an interesting very interesting imagery there an image in your mind but jesus is the lamb of god indeed revelation chapter 11 verse 15. i love this text it comes within the context of the uh the the seventh trump i believe it is then the seventh angel sounded and there were loud voices in heaven saying the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our lord and his christ and he shall reign forever again within the context of the second coming of jesus where jesus is now he has received the kingdom as his own that stone that has come and had filled the whole world and has become a great mountain it is referring to the kingdom of christ at his second coming revelation 14 verses 14 through 16. we're not going to spend much time on this one but just to reference that this is indeed talking about that central theme of focus the second coming of jesus it says then i look for starting with verse 14 and revelation 14. he says then i looked and behold a white cloud and on the cloud set one like the son of man having on his head a golden crown and in his hand a sharp sickle and another angel came out of the temple crying with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud thrust in your sickle and reap for the time has come for you to reap for the harvest of the earth is ripe so he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth and the earth was reaped and of course this comes right after the proclamation of the first second and third angels messages we don't have to wonder as to who this person is sitting on the cloud who thrust in his sickle to the earth this is jesus christ this is jesus christ at his second coming revelation chapter 19 probably won't spend a lot of time on this right here just simply reference it and and reference the fact that in revelation 19 verses 11 through 16 the bible envisions and pictures christ as coming back on a white horse with all of the angels with him on white horses and and it says that uh right here in verse 16 and he has on his robe and on his thigh a name written king of kings and lord of lords again we see this theme all the way through the book of revelation christ is constantly reminding us hey i'm coming hey i'm coming hey get ready i'm on my way hey i'm coming very quickly and so also i think of revelation chapter 22 if you'd if you missed it if you read all the way through the book of revelation and you missed this theme all right you missed this theme of the second coming of jesus jesus says look just go all the way to the last chapter of the bible and read through that in case you missed all that other stuff let me really emphasize it for you because not in one not in two not in three but four verses in that same chapter he says i'm coming i'm coming i'm coming notice revelation 22 verse seven he says behold i am coming quickly blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book and then you keep reading through the chapter you get to verse 12. and behold i am coming quickly there it is again and my reward is with me to give everyone according to his work and then of course verse 17 and the spirit and the bride say come and let him who here say come lord oh come lord we're ready for you to come come get us lord and take us home and then verse 20 i love this and he who testifies to these sayings says surely i am coming what quickly amen even so come lord jesus christ so we see very clearly all the way through the book of revelation jesus is crying out as this great last day present truth message crying out and saying look i'm coming quickly are you ready and see i have to just ask here in closing why do we evangelize i kind of alluded at the beginning of this particular lesson that i started but you know what is the purpose of all of the public evangelistic series that we do what about all the small group bible studies that we do what is the purpose that we go out of our way to make sure that this message is proclaimed it's because jesus is coming so that's it that's right we know that he's coming soon and we have to prepare not only ourselves but also others and we have to be warning them and preaching it with a sense of urgency that they need to prepare and know that jesus is to return soon i also find it interesting that all the way through the book of revelation another theme another constant theme that we see coming up is the sanctuary theme the the book of revelation is just shrouded in sanctuary terminology that's right and if you look at the sanctuary blueprint which we know as a blueprint model of salvation the ultimate goal of the progression of the sanctuary message is that god's people want to be in that most holy place so we can be in the very presence of god god desires his people to be with him that's why i told moses let them make me a sanctuary that i may dwell among my people and in the book of revelation we see that eventually when we get to those latter chapters jesus comes back gets his people there's no more need for separation there's no more need for a sanctuary necessarily because we are now with him forever there is no veil there is no separation we want to be in that most holy place we want to have a most holy place experience right here in these last days and the only way we can do that is to prepare for his soon coming take this gospel serious let the gospel transform us and preach it that it worth sharing i'm going to pass it quickly to pastor john low mccain he's going to be talking about revelations end time message revelations end time message i feel like i need an hour so you guys need to relinquish your time i was joking you know this is a powerful message revelation it's the end of the story i feel badly for those churches where people are told they can't understand it it's like watching the most amazing engaging uh production of a movie and then somebody just unplugs the television and say well we have to guess how it ends well the lord is not going to sneak up on us he wants us to know as pastor kenny said amos 3 7 surely the lord god does nothing except he revealed his secrets to his servants to prophets there's a component in the bible of secrecy that the lord has reserved for those who follow him you know when the disciples were on the mount of olives and jesus talked about the second coming in matthew 24. then the bible says then his disciples took him away privately and asked him specific questions tell us when will these things be and what will be the sign of your coming and at the end of the age he didn't tell the multitude he doesn't tell those who are not his followers he doesn't give out a secrets and you know the bible talks about the gospel it has been hidden through the ages but now is revealed revelation so you see revelation is the revealing it is the final curtain call on humanity so i like to look at revelation chapter 14 in three particulars first of all the three angels message is a preparation message it's a preparation message now why is it so vitally important because jesus is coming back for the world that's right god so loved the world he's not coming back just for the church he's coming back for those he's given all of humanity an opportunity to be a part of his eternal kingdom he's not going to sneak back that's why you have seven trumpets trumpets are not silent that's right and i know there are many interpretations about the trumpets but the trumpets are not silent instruments he wants to blow the trumpet blow the trumpet in zion and sound an alarm in my holy mountain he says if the servant or the or the the watchman sees the sword coming he has to blow the trumpet so god has given us as a church the responsibility of blowing the trumpet of the three angels and messages to every nation every kindred every tongue every people now why is it a preparation message because the lord is preparing to come back and he wants the world to know i'm coming back now in matthew 24 we find also that the messages of revelation is a prerequisite message look at matthew chapter 24 and verse 14. you know it by heart i'm laying some foundation you know it by heart that's right it's a prerequisite and this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations and then shall the end come it's not ironic or coincidental that the three angels messages is to every nation kindred tongue and people that's right it's called the this gospel of the kingdom is the everlasting gospel what is the everlasting gospel salvation by grace through faith in christ alone we are not saved by works we are saved four works but the message of salvation the emancipation proclamation the entire world needs to know that the devil may have bound you but i've come to set you free and if the son therefore shall make you free you shall be free indeed so it's it's a message a prerequisite i'm coming i want everyone to know so that you and have you'll have an opportunity to get ready so matthew 24 but then the three angels messages is a prevention message now go with me to revelation chapter seven it's a prevention message now what i'm going to do is insert right into revelation chapter 14 we're going to see the con connection the contextual connection but if you look at revelation chapter seven this shows the prevention aspect of it verses one to three after these things i saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth holding the four winds of the earth that the wind should not blow on the earth on the sea or on any tree prevention that's right then i saw another angel ascending from the east having this seal of the living god and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea verse three talks about the prevention saying do not harm the earth the sea or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our god on their foreheads don't do i'm going to prevent you from doing anything until i do what i must do that's right it's a prevention message i'm not going to let you harm the earth or the sea or the trees until i've sealed the service of god on their foreheads let's go to revelation 9. and i'll show you now right after the earth the sea and the trees as the bible talked about right after the impact comes to them notice the next prevention it's a prevention message look at revelation chapter nine and verse four and by the way i believe personally i believe that this talks about the appearing of satan because when the bible talks about a star that fell from heaven what star do we know in the bible that fell from heaven that's right the only star that fell from heaven o lucifer son of the morning how art thou fallen from heaven elusive for son of the morning isaiah 14 ezekiel chapter 28 luke 10 18 i saw satan like lightning fall from heaven that's right revelation 12 7 he did not prevail but he was cast to the earth and his angels were cast out with him if you let the bible speak for itself this is very clear the only star that could have fallen from heaven to the earth is satan the morning star lucifer meant the morning story jesus is the bright right and morning amen but let's look what happens after the earth the sea and the trees are impacted politically socially financially and religiously that preparation work for the people of god to be sorted out notice what happens in verse 4 of revelation 9 they were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth or any green thing or any tree but only those men who do not have the seal of god on their forehead prevention again don't touch my people right and so many people apply this to what happened during the dark ages you know the the wars of of the muslims and um and the ottoman empire you might have some application there however i believe that this has a greater application because the ceiling work is an end time work that's right and strangely enough the only place in the bible where we talk about the seal of god the only place in all of the bible where the seal of god in revelation is mentioned is in verse four the seal of god it's talked about in revelation 7 but it's talked about here clearly described the seal of god on their foreheads so you see once again a prevention message now why is the prevention so significant because revelation is where the two sides now are no longer merging they are on opposite sides they are completely polarized complete evil on one side complete righteousness on the other hand and babylon let's go to revelation 18 now babylon that has boasted of its success has to be fully built up before it's completely destroyed that's right that's what happened in the book of genesis they had to build the tower up before the tower came down and babylon is in its building stages right now it is being built socially and is being built financially it is being built politically and it's going to finally be built religiously that's right now that's the entire system of babylon because revelation 18 verse 1 says verse 1-3 or first says come out of her my people why does the lord want his people to come out because soon if you don't come out you're going to receive her plagues and share in her sins but here's the point that's so significant that's why god has given us the responsibility of proclaiming this message because he's saying you got to get my people out i'm not reforming babylon i'm i'm destroying babylon it's not a movement of reformation but a movement of removal i'm bringing this system down there's nothing about it that can be reformed because it's a cage of every foul spirit an unclean and hated bird and the devil lives there these unclean spirits dwell there i'm not reforming that system it's at the point of complete corruption i've got to get my people out but now look at revelation 18 verse 21 to 23 this gives a picture of what happens when her sins have reached unto heaven as revelation 18 verse 5 makes clear verse 21 to 23 then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea saying thus with violence the great city babylon shall be thrown down and shall not be found anymore just as it happened to literal babylon never be inhabited again same thing for spiritual babylon let's look at verse 22. the sound of harpists musicians flutists and trumpeters shall not be heard in you anymore and no craftsman of any craft shall be found in you anymore and the sound of a millstone shall not be heard in you anymore what is the male still needed for to grind out wheat that's right musicians all the successes of babylon look at verse 23 and the light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore right now the light is shining what light is that the light of the gospel it has to shine in babylon so the people in darkness could see it isaiah 60 verse 1 and 2. in a time of darkness god is saying shine that light so that my people in darkness could see it let's continue in the rest of this verse verse 23 the voice of the bridegroom and the bride shall not be heard in you anymore look at the financial system that's coming together today yes for your merchants were the great men of the earth for by your sorceries all the nations were deceived and in her was found the blood of the prophets and the saints and all who were slain on the earth yes powerful so well yeah a lot of food time to come out of babylon that's coming down that's right and revelations message is a preparation to come out amen amen thank you so much pastor john i always think this is my personal opinion but pastor john nobody preaches the book of revelation like pastor john i could listen to you all day on the book of revelation because he knows this book thank you i love that preparation message prerequisite message prevention message i got to study that that's powerful so we're looking at wednesday i even forgot my day i got so excited about that wednesday's lesson which is understanding god's message more fully specifically the first angels message so turn with me to revelation 14 revelation 14 6-7 we're going to read those two verses we've already read it before but we'll read it again here and then i saw verse 6 another angel having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell in the earth to every nation tribe tongue and people so let's look at the messenger who does the preaching clearly it says another angel now in the word of god and it means an angel or a messenger matthew 11 verse 10 jesus used that word to refer to john the baptist why because he was a messenger preparing the way for jesus first coming you and i are called to preach the first angel's message to be the messenger to proclaim this message before the second coming of christ what is the message what are we to preach pastor john already talked about it the everlasting gospel that message of salvation by grace through faith amen and what is the mission who are we to preach to it says we're to preach to every nation tribe tongue and people now the word every in greek past means each and every one that's right specifically so in other words it's not just saying okay you're to preach to the world in general you're to preach to every person every nation every tribe tongue and people what is that message let's read the next verse saying with a loud voice we are called to proclaim this message with a loud voice this is present truth as pastor kenny talked about fear god give glory to him for the hour of his judgment has come and worship him who made heaven and earth the sea and the springs of water so we will hopefully cover in this time fear god give glory judgment hour creation and sabbath and worship we'll cover it all quickly so if you look at fear god and give glory to him i look at these two it's very closely related revelation 15 4 says who shall not fear you o lord and glorify your name for you alone are holy for all nations shall come and worship before you for your judgments have been manifested you see there we see the connection fear glory and judgment that's right fear has to do with our thoughts really in my mind it has to do with thoughts in the word of god fear means respect reverence reverential obedience psalm 111 verse 10 the fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom a good understanding have all those who do his commandments and we see that fear connected with obedience ecclesiastes 12 13-14 let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter fear god and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man king james says or this is man's all for god will bring every work into judgment including every secret thing whether good or evil there again we see fearing god respecting reverencing him connected with obedience and we see that connected with judgment that's right give glory to him to me if fear is thoughts glory is actions we know in the word of god the glory represents character think about moses remember in exodus and he said god show me your glory show me your character remember god hid moses in the cleft of the rock and he allowed his backside not his face but the back to pass before him and what did he see he saw his goodness he saw his character glory represents character i think of first corinthians 6 19 and 20. do you not know that your body is the temple of the holy spirit who was in you you have from god and you're not your own for you are bought with a price therefore glorify god in your body and in your spirit we are called to represent jesus represent the character of god with our thoughts and with our actions the hour of his judgment has come yes judgment in revelation 14 is clearly part of this end time present day present truth message judgment is a good thing for those who are covered with christ's righteousness that's right i want to pause on that for just a moment because we know clearly judgment is not a good thing for the wicked but for those who are covered with christ's righteousness you do not have to be afraid of the judgment because you are covered with his imputed righteousness and his imparted righteousness let's look at that very quickly imputed righteousness romans chapter 4 verse 3. romans 4 3 we know our righteousness isaiah tells us our righteousness is as filthy rags so there's nothing good in us but jesus covers us and justifies us with the righteous white robe of himself amen romans 4 verse 3 abraham believed god and it was accounted to him reckoned to him for righteousness now this whole discussion in romans chapter 4 whether did this justification take place before abraham was circumcised or after he was circumcised because if it took place after he was circumcised then that means okay he had some works that took place in order for him to receive this righteous white war robe or the justification but romans 4 paul is very clear it took place before he was circumcised philippians 3 9 and being found in him not having my own righteousness which is from the law which we know is filthy racks but that which is through faith in christ the righteousness which is from god by faith the moment you accept the lord jesus into your heart he takes away those filthy garments of sin as he did in zechariah 3 as he stood remember joshua before the angel of the lord and he covers you with his righteous white robe but he doesn't stop there he transforms us by the indwelling holy spirit revelation 19 8 to her that's to the church that's you and i it was granted to be arrayed and find linen clean and bright for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints this is sanctification now you might say wait a minute i don't have any righteousness but this is christ in you the hope of glory colossians 1 27. this is john 15 5 that abiding in the vine the moment jason we become disconnected from jesus we begin to die that's right and we begin to live in our own works and our own righteousness but as long as we remain connected to him and christ lives in us his righteousness flows forth the judgment of course we know is entered against the wicked remember the fifth seal in revelation 6 the martyrs cry out how long oh lord until you judge our blood and avenge us from our enemies this judgment is that vengeance that they were crying out for taking place this judgment is pre-advent it takes place before the second coming of christ because when christ comes the second time the destiny of everyone will be decided revelation 22 11 he who is unjust let him be unjustified he who is filthy let him be filthy still he who is righteous let him be righteous still he who is holy let him be holy still and the last moment let's look at worship him who made heaven and earth the sea and the fountains or springs of water this is fourth commandment language reminiscent of the fourth commandment which we won't read but you find in exodus 20 verses 8 through 11. in there it talks about remember the sabbath day the seventh day because they had forgotten it to keep it holy and then we know that in six days the lord made heaven and earth the sea and the fountains of waters it reminds me of jesus resting on the seventh day at the conclusion of creation genesis chapter 2 verses 1 through 3 when the heavens and earth and all the host of them were finished and god ended his work what happened he rested on the seventh day and he blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because in it he rested from all his work which god created and made you see the issue at the end of time is over worship who will we worship that's right are we going to choose to follow jesus and follow the lamb and allow him to transform us keep his seventh day the sabbath holy are we going to allow him to cover us with his righteous robe so that we can stand undefiled in the judgment that's my choice and i hope it's yours as well amen wow jill you just preached a whole sermon and i might have to watch this on youtube so i can process it all thursday's lesson is entitled god's final appeal this is god's final appeal and this is a very important message and you know when we hear the word appeal it's a word that's thrown around quite often but i think it's important for us to examine the definition of the word an appeal is to make a serious or urgent request typically to the public and that's what we're going to see taking place here when i first looked at the book of revelation i have to admit i was intimidated and there's still parts about it that intimidate me and since and since we're being honest here right and perhaps that's the case for you too it wasn't until i was on salvation in symbols and signs that i began to view it as a love story because the book of revelation truly is a love story it's about christ coming back to receive his purified bride and so we're going to take a look at some of these components in here the second angels message we'll jump into that but i want to go to revelation chapter one let's go to this to the beginning of this fascinating book and i think that it's very important to remember that when we're studying the book of revelation everything that god does is motivated by love i think that is is a key so let's look at revelation chapter one verses one through three and it says the revelation of jesus christ which god gave him to show his servants things which must must shortly take place um and he sent and signified it by his angel to his servant john who bore witness to the word of god and to the testimony of jesus christ to all things that he saw now jill i like what you said earlier about fear god is you know equivalent you got to be obedient when you're fearing god you're obedient in verse 3 here it says blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written in it it's not enough to read it it's not enough to hear it you have to keep it that's right for the time is near we are truly living in the last days i'm a firm believer of that and i think that if you just turn on your news you'll believe that as well when you start looking at all of the the signs that are coming into play whether it's it's pestilence whether it's earthquakes whether it's i mean all these natural disasters happening at a rate and frequency in which we've never seen before and uh god doesn't want us to be caught off guard or confused about the message that he has for his people and throughout the hands of time god has had a message for his people as we touched on earlier now we're jumping into the three angels message well continuing into it as we have touched on it um and we're jumping into the second angel's message now the three angels messages are an end times message for an end times people one that counteracts the counterfeit and for everything genuine that god has the devil has made a counterfeit so let's look at revelation chapter 14 verse 8 and it says and another angel followed saying babylon has fallen is fallen that great city because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication now when i think about wine i think about somebody getting drunk and when i think about somebody getting drunk i think about them being confused and so here we're talking about spiritual babylon and so that means that there's a confusion and we know that god is not the author of confusion and he doesn't want us to be confused about the message about him coming back to receive us about the things that need to take place and so that's spiritual babylon now if you think about physical babylon well they had a whole world of issues there was so many problems with them let's look at revelation chapter 17 verses 3 through 6 and it says so he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness and i saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy having seven heads and ten horns the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication and on her forehead a name was written mystery babylon the great the mother of harlots and the abomination and of the abominations of the earth i saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of jesus and when i saw her i marveled with great amazement i love what it says here though because this kind of breaks it down in revelation well not in revelation in great controversy page 381 ellen white says the term babylon is derived from babel and signifies confusion it is employed in scripture to designate the various forms of false or apostate religion in revelation chapter 17 babylon is represented as a woman a figure which is used in the bible as the symbol of a church a virtuous woman representing uh a pure church a via woman and or an apostate church it's very interesting it's very interesting especially in the times in which we are living we're seeing all kinds of false doctrine that's coming about whether it's the state of the dead whether it's the the sabbath you know there's there's a disagreement in those areas but when you study it from the word of god you can't be confused unless you introduce man's tradition okay now when i think about the book of daniel because daniel and revelation kind of go hand in hand there when i think about the book of daniel and i take a look at the beginning of when the some of the children of israel were taken captive it's interesting in fact let's go there let's go to daniel and let's look at daniel we're going to be in chapter one and daniel chapter one and we'll start let's say in verse verse 3 then the king instructed ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs to bring some of the children of israel and some of the king's descendants and some of the nobles young men in whom there was no blemish but good looking gifted in all wisdom possessing knowledge and quick to understand who had ability to serve in the king's palace in whom they might teach the language and literature of the chaldeans and the king appointed for them a daily provision of the king's delicacies and of the wine which he drank and three years of training for them so that at the end of that time they might serve before the king later it goes on to say that they gave them new names as well and so this is kind of a reprogramming he's introducing them to the culture he's introducing them to their beliefs and all the craziness that they have going on the sorcery the astrologers the magicians all of these things now we notice in verse 8 and in verse 8 i think this is is important for us as well verse 8 says but daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's delicacies nor with the wine which he drank therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself daniel purposed in his heart now we are living in the last days and as we look at the different messages and all the things that are going on and the false doctrine and all of this stuff we have to purpose in our hearts to follow the word of god that's right i forgot how you say it it's uh sola scripture yes we have to follow the word of god um and you can't go wrong with that cannot go wrong with that so living in the last days standing firm on the word of god as we saw with daniel walking through now daniel survived multiple administrations and he operated and conducted himself with integrity amen and that's what we must do today you know we talked about worship and the issue with being with worship who are you going to serve i remember a pastor saying that you know if i ask you for a banana and you give me a banana did you fulfill what i asked for the answer is yes now or actually if i ask you for a piece of fruit that's what it is if i ask you for a piece of fruit and you give me a banana did you fulfill what i asked for yes okay now if i ask you for a mango and you give me a banana did you fulfill what i asked for no well we can worship god any day that we choose any day we can work worship him but he set aside one day that he's sanctified and made holy and that is the day that we are to observe that's the seventh-day sabbath and if you look back at the children of israel when they were getting manna they collected it six days out the week if they collected more than what they needed other than on the sixth day in preparation for the sabbath it would spoil it didn't spoil there's something very special about the sabbath day and that's because god sanctified it he set it aside he made it holy and so we are being called out of false teachings into god's marvelous life exactly amen amen very much wow praise the lord that's a message worth sharing isn't that right okay some final thoughts last year yeah absolutely you know that ryan jason said something earlier sparked my attention he said that the devil was trying to deceive you know daniel and his friends with all that craziness that was going on in in babylon and that's exactly what's happening in these last days we have a lot of craziness going on the devil's trying to deceive us but we look to jesus we keep our faces in god's word and he will see us home amen here's the patience of the saints here are those who keep the commandments of god and the faith of jesus revelation chapter 12 and verse 14 determined to be among the faithful amen revelation 3 20 behold i stand at the door and knock open the door of your heart to jesus amen just study the word of god stay true to the word of god amen i pray it's been a blessing to you it's been a blessing to me a message worth sharing and don't you believe that it is a message worth
