hello everybody today I have an updated guide for llot if you didn't know this character has been the buzz or Talk of the Town recently especially with lucilius and how easy or how trivial he makes it especially if you just Spam Dodge but there are a lot of things that I want to bring up especially from my initial guide with llot and there's new text there's new play Styles there new sigils new builds everything that I know and have kind of developed through my time uh looking at llot through 1.1 I do want to announce or establish that I've now opened up YouTube memberships or Channel memberships it cost a dollar to pay for a channel membership and what I'm going to be having with the channel memberships is going to be new emotes new badges that you have associated with your title or with your name and ultimately whether that means in the future there are specific Channel only posts or Channel exclusive things that you can find specifically through Channel memberships I'm not quite sure yet but expect something like that in the future thanks again for everyone's supporting let's get back into it so first off let's talk about what it means to actually play llot what his game style is ETC now to be clear you basically have two different ways to play llot you have the more common especially right now kind of play style of spamming your twin twin dance the H ha instantly and over and over into infinity and piss off pretty much everyone in your lobby or you have the more Min maxy thought out theorycrafted way of playing Lance slot which involves using his combo finishers using a lot of his skills buffing himself up and doing a lot of damage now ultimately although you could definitely argue that just doing this for 20 hours straight is certainly a way to beat literally the hardest fight in the game which is lucilius but there's a lot more to life than just holding down the Y button on your controller or holding down right click ultimately I'm not here to argue about which play style or which kind of way you want to play but I will give you a build for both variations in case you're curious let's move on now choosing the right skills for Lancelot is obviously really important but we do have to talk about the actual gameplay Loop and outside of the spam heavy attack Dodge everything kind of gameplay Loop that one of the other builds for Lancelot has right now his typical traditional gameplay Loop involves him using BL DOL giving him the supplementary damage buff and then using his blade impulse to kind of close the gap and then use the rest of his skills now that sounds very straightforward and kind of uncomplicated something that you do have to remember is that because of how instantaneous and how consistently quickly you can get out these skills you do need to sometimes weave a combo finisher in between your skills or while you're kind of just waiting and sitting and flurry and using your normal attacks I'll go into further detail on the training dummy to kind of show you what the different gameplay Styles or what it kind of looks like when it comes to normal fights and what it looks like when it comes to training dummy fights but let's move on to skills so his skill choices pretty much haven't changed since the last time that I did this video now again you have BL dou you're not going to get rid of this under any circumstances you have blade impulse which is your Gap close and a lot more useful and does a lot more damage than I originally had initially expected but then you have turbulence which in my opinion is pretty much always going to be the skill that you trade out if you feel like you still need to Gap close with blade impulse and of course you're not going to get rid of either Southern Cross which is your biggest DPS and bl dul which is of course your damage buff now like I just mentioned if you don't need gap closers you can always replace blade impulse but most of the time that won't be the case you could definitely argue that this additional AOE with turbulence is not nearly as impactful as literally just getting a glaciate which is part of the reason why a lot of people like taking landlot especially when you're not just rightclick spamming 24/7 now again to kind of describe the strength of each ability of course blade impulse is the Gap close in case if the boss runs away which saves you some time you don't just have to Sprint across the map it does decent damage as I had already mentioned and turbulence also kind of does the same however it does also have the added bonus of being AOE so if there is a boss where there's multiple mobs together or you need to clear out mobs a little bit quicker turbulence is your go-to skill that being said though if you do want to have a bit more utility and Skip certain phases with glacite but Al though I mentioned the value of Cs Winder earlier in my old video but I didn't show you a way to optimize using glacite which I'll be showing you in a tips and tricks section at the end of this video now after miggy's damage calculator had come out a bunch of people have been doing calculations or doing some analysis research with what skills do a lot of damage what's possible to actually be your bread and butter skill and what caps out easier or harder among all the skills and your attacks and it should be known right now that Southern Cross not only is a very fast multi-hit skill it also does the most damage out of En your skills when it comes to playing Lancelot now for sigils things have definitely changed because of lucilius and Lancelot is basically no different now ultimately after 1.1 things you have to consider when it comes to sigils is whether or not you can actually afford or whether it's worth it for you to get gamma if you then want to run something like double beta or if you want to run double Alpha depending on what kind of character you have are you a character that has less is more are you a character that uses basically no attacks at all and you're only skill-based but fortunately or unfortunately technically because it costs more tiers to do this build Lancelot is a character who gains the most value out of using Alpha Beta and two gamma if you are familiar with what alpha beta and gamma do alpha increases the damage cap of your normal damage attacks beta increases the damage cap of your skills and Gamma increases the overall damage cap of all of your damage dealing abilities skills attack Etc while also giving you a 50,000 barrier and ultimately is by far the best sigil not only because of the passive but because it effects pretty much all your attacks now of course these sigils also come with damage cap which is really important and ultimately a lot of people like having the 60 damage cap increase alongside the alpha beta and gamma damage increase although as of the time of this writing what is understood about these damage caps is that on average you gain anywhere between 5 to 10% increase in damage when you have these sigils on but assuming that you are able to fit everything that you want in your build whether that be evasion whether that be utility or health Etc it does mean that you are doing more damage statistically if you have the new lucilia sigils to be clear I definitely understand the argument about not using these especially with technically how long or how tedious it is to fight against lucilius but because there are new ways to now farm for lucilius either through Lance slot spamming his right click or through this new Block tech which I'll include and kind of describe later it does mean that getting these sigils is definitely not as insane as it used to be now for the rest of the sigil builds of course you have War Elemental you also have the three supplementary damage fives which is terribly annoying because I literally don't have a single sub damage 5 plus and I literally have like 1,300 hours in this game now at this point and then you want to round things off especially in a post lucilius kind of ERA with a tyranny and stamina alongside having you know Max crit with a crit sigil and then having combo booster to kind of round out how much damage you do now if you noticed most people consider tyranny and stamina pretty much all you need to damage cap especially on a character like Lance who doesn't really have that high damage cap but actually you do need combo booster because if you do want to use a Sigil like flight over fight you need a way to compensate for the damage and therefore that's how you're going to find it you're going to include it and therefore the way that you end up damage capping is through using combo booster ultimately if you want to use something like life on the line that's also okay but ultimately I don't really trust myself and I want to be able to use the healing from life on the line if you also didn't know there's actually a weird interaction with life on the line in the way that I believe tyranny works or either Tyran or stamina it's it's one of those two where it doesn't you know it doesn't scale properly so in that case and especially because again lanot a character that pretty much demands having 100% uptime it just makes more sense to have combo booster on okay but assuming that you want to do the spam build which again I'm prefacing right now you should really only ever be doing offline and not really be doing online with players like I'm telling you right now it is a really scummy like do not I not advocating for doing this specific Strat while you're with other players whatever you do in the privacy of your own lobbies is totally fine if your AI start getting upset at you well you can't really blame me for that one either cuz I'm giving you this disclaimer but here's the second build now you'll notice number one that I have a plus4 alpha which probably doesn't make a whole lot of sense to you but it makes sense to me because formerly I thought that I was going to use double Alpha but unfortunately I ended up realizing that I needed Alpha Beta but long story short I still hit the cap which is 30 and it doesn't really make that much of a difference as you can see here I still hit the 30 cap but instead of being 32 I'm now 31 but if we go down the list the actual major change that we have here is that because you are very frequently with the AFK Strat going to be losing out on your total health bar and it's going to get lower and lower and lower what you actually gain more value from rather than taking stamina is actually taking enmity if you aren't familiar with what enmity does it says that it boosts attack based on how low your health is and if you you've ever failed the transition phase with all the orbs where you have to break the orbs or step on the orbs you get reduced down to 1% Health now outside of those specific changes there isn't much to change when it comes to this build and ultimately in general if you do want to do this play style it's less about your damage because sometimes you'll end up just hitting like a wall or something and not hitting the boss at all and it'll be more about your AI to really do the heavy lifting now ultimately I do want to give a bit of a PSA for those of you that have probably been grinding for hours upon hours and are trying to figure out what the ideal end end game Builders when it comes to landlot especially if you're chasing for something like flight over fight Plus Glass Cannon plus sub damage 5 plus so if you just take a look at what I have access to or what I don't have five pluses of we actually have convenient slots for three traits in the form of three sub damage five pluses and a flight over fight and I'm here to give you basically two different options when it comes to what is available now the very classical kind of build when it comes to the minmax like AKA you have to be farming for like 4,000 hours is going to be having three sub damage 5 pluses all that have quick cooldown but something that I've been kind of exposed to and explained to recently is that although the very natural progression from here is to then put a Cascade on a flight over fight sigil Lancelot does not actually apply or use Cascade in a very meaningful way because Cascade of course would be super op if that was the case if you are using something like his heavy attack often to dash around and stuff you do actually get pretty decent value from Cascade just keep that in mind when you're trying to assess what kind of endgame sigil you want on here here but something that I'm not even entirely sure is possible but I would assume would be a potential option that you could have on flight or fight I apologize guys I literally don't I've never seen one myself I'm still waiting literally for a sub damage 5 plus a single one after 1300 hours by the way is going to be uplift now of course having uplift as one of the most insane SBA Chargers in the game is huge value but then we have the conversation of the imbus now of course having 10 crit is just mandatory if you want to be 100 crit but if you're looking for for the additional traits on your right Stone and what is actually worth it and what isn't running five Cascade assuming that you have access to a flight over fight with Cascade is going to be ideal but again you have to keep in mind what I mentioned about how you apply Cascade or how it works which leaves you with the seven secondary trait but ultimately this is kind of up to personal preference I've seen great Arguments for something like stun power or you could even use it on something like linked together either of these are fine now in terms of Mastery nothing has really changed since 1.0 but I would say that in terms of slot now there's definitely huge value from having stun power as opposed to just having flat attack or trying to get SBA damage cap up again with new information being found with something like mey's calculator you could now argue that instead of sun power you could definitely get something like SP damage increase but because we found out that it is either ridiculous or just not worth it for you to actually cap out on your SBA damage there's basically no reason for you to take the SBA damage cap up as opposed to either just taking SBA damage raw increase or just taking stun power that being said in terms of priority I would definitely say that having Max crit is definitely more important than pretty much anything else that you could find on here but Max crit alongside I would say Max skill damage cap up is actually more important than maxing your normal attack damage and the reason for this is because I had a damage parser that kind of went through and saw how much damage I did with each of my skills and my attacks Etc and as you can see here the normal attacks or the normal attack damage that I have here is in the form of Stiller glance I didn't even know that's what the name of my attacks were but as you could read through this little description that I have 63% of Lance slot's damage comes from skills and around 36% comes from normal attacks and all of this or the calculations of the stats is of course done after excluding stuff like link attack or even supplementary damage now again in terms of raw damage how much you actually gain from doing skill damage or normal attack damage the percentages are about 40% which comes from Southern Cross turbulence and blade impulse and for normal attacks we calculated it to be around 23% worth of your actual damage that is specifically coming from normal attacks now obviously the percentages can vary Up and Down based on fight and what you're doing but generally speaking if you are doing over 60% of your total damage not including supplementary damage like I mentioned you can see why there'd be a bit more priority on skill damage cap as opposed to normal damage cap I do want to warn you though that if you're reading this or seeing this and using that as your sign to now run double beta instead of Alpha Beta the scaling of Alpha and beta in the later stages is actually way way way worse than the first 15 levels when it comes to both of these sigils so ultimately although this is more skewed towards beta there's no reason for you to run double beta even though you technically do more damage split with it even though you technically do more damage share with it now again in terms of weapons you kind of get the gist of it nothing has basically changed at all since the last time I did this I did awaken my Ascension weapon here because I actually like the way that they look when they're ascended or when they're glowing so that's pretty much the only thing that has changed since the last time I recommended weapons but ultimately again if you do want to use your Ascension weapon early and you want to gain some of the sigil booster in the damage cap and the additional attack early on before you get Terminus weapons that's totally fine but I think at the time of this writing a majority of players I think are now understanding that Damascus knife or the Terminus weapon is just not that it's just not that hard to farm out especially if you have ai or have will help you farm it prior if you are playing a lot of these things by yourself though you could definitely make the argument that upgrading the Ascension weapon for Lance slot or for any character for that matter would make decent sense especially because you have nothing to carry you or you don't have anyone to help you out with your fights otherwise if you don't want to invest into the Ascension weapon on average though if you aren't going to be using the Ascension weapon I would either say that running the critical rate and critical damage weapon or even the stun power and linked together weapon is definitely usable it just kind of depends on what you have what kind of you know setup in terms of your build you have but ultimately all the Min maxing doesn't matter since all them need to get upgraded and even in terms of Mirage Munitions there's pretty much no way to actually waste these because you get infinite amounts of them so don't worry about it you can remove the Munitions the only thing you have to kind of worry about is if you get the perfect right Stone early you should definitely not waste or imbue your right Stone on a weapon you're not going to be using later I've seen a couple horror stories now where some people had the perfect Cascade plus critical hit rate you know 10 and also had something like tyranny or combo booster they used it on their Ascension weapon early and they didn't end up getting to use it on their Terminus weapons later huge rest in peace for that guy now in terms of final tips and tricks about this character there are a number of things that you could definitely consider uh as combo animation cancelling any things like this that you would definitely gain value from ultimately something that you might notice about some skills is that they have animation lag or it takes a little long for you to actually cast the animation so something that I've definitely noticed to be really good is that especially with how long it takes for you to cast your supplementary damage buff you can actually cancel or speed things up a little bit easier by using your buff and then immediately using something like blade impulse to kind of bridge the gap or kind of get out of the lag earlier okay now this is going to be the actual gameplay or kind of advanced section tips and tricks section whatever you'd like to call it about how Lancelot actually works and how to maximize his damage now something that I think is criminally underreported when it comes to Lance slot is that ultimately your gameplay Loop actually revolves around you being being able to gain access to or kind of maintain this flurry skill as you can see here and ultimately it's doing a lot of your major normal attack damage as opposed to your skills but if you noticed earlier on I wasn't able to just get into the flurry or get into the more meaty damage part of my combo if you are just raw manually getting to the flurry you'll notice right there that actually you have to do a few additional hits to kind of build into this combo now as you can see there the buildup hits are definitely a DPS loss because you aren't immediately getting into the flurry so the first big major Revelation or kind of thing I'd like to inform you about Lancelot is that when you use the skill you actually immediately gain access to using your flurry immediately after now on the topic of really annoying slow animations let's talk about the supplementary damage buff and your glaci now again everyone loves getting into the flurry animation very quickly and no one likes doing any buildup or any lag but something you probably noticed if you've ever played Lance Lot is that when you open up with your buff again you don't gain anything and you instantly have to just go into the slow animation it's kind of annoying the skill itself already kind of has a long animation and you don't want to be sitting there while the boss is you know actively hitable or up timeable so how do we fix this well thankfully there's actually a very good way to kind of cancel out all the animations and that's to use a skill like your blade impulse or your Southern Cross or your turbulence which I don't have right now in order to cancel out the actual lag of the animation now you might be wondering how glaci shite is if it's even worth holding down as you can see here I'm doing K like very minor damage but you don't really want to be holding it down for that long and I'm actually here to PSA that what I had originally thought is that if you didn't hold down glacite for long enough like what the boss unfreeze the answer is no so again now what you can do actually is tap out your glacite to immediately get the glacite proc and then immediately cancel the lag behind the animation because it takes quite a long time and then use a skill like your blade impulse use something like your Southern Cross or use turbulence to immediately get yourself out of any initial like animation lag and have to like worry about getting into flurry instead of doing something like glaci Shide into now these weird buildup attacks now you basically learned how to play 85% of llot and if you do the things that I just mentioned right now on average you'll probably be better than I'd probably say 95% of the players that actually play Lance slot especially on matchmaking or just kind of playing the character for fun no problem or no beef with those players that's totally fine but something that kind of pushes you above and beyond when it comes to Lance slot is actually the timing of when you use certain skills relative to your length time and also starting to weave combo finishers into your skills and now if you're someone that does use training dummies something that you'll definitely see Great Value from is that while you are gaining stun power and it looks like you can now immediately use your your link attack and continue with your combo as you've noticed right there not only did I knock up the dummy which is annoying specifically for the dummy run you'll have noticed that actually you have to kind of land and then go into the link attack which is kind of annoying in terms of continuing your uptime now again while this might be a more specific to training dummy runs and you could ultimately kind of just turn off the Dummy from getting knocked up anyways something that I found to be really helpful is actually timing it so that instead of doing your link time first you actually do your turbulence first and then while you're in the air or while you're kind of hitting the ground and you have lag otherwise with turbulence you then immediately link attack to throw yourself back into the air and following a link attack you actually gain access to flurry as well which means that in terms of timing and stuff you're not missing any uptime you're not hit with any weird you know low damage output while you're trying to get back into flurry now in regards to combo finishers this is in my opinion one of the most slept on underrated or not really talked about things when it comes to characters just because for certain characters it looks like you could just Auto attack forever and then just use your skills off coold down but actually if you want to be at the very very tippy top when it comes to a character like lanot especially you are going to have to use a lot of your combo finishers to kind of maximize your damage now in terms of when you should actually be using combo finishers the answer is pretty much when any of your skills are down now as you can see here I'm going to buff up give myself a bunch of damage and then actually all I really have to do or all I have time to do right here is just use flurry which is nice but you would definitely want to be able to use finishers or kind of use your combo finisher because it does a lot of damage especially after you have Max ice now Max ice is not that important because you definitely hit cap really easily with your damage skills but in terms of actually wanting to use your combo finisher and doing more stun or having more damage output you actually want to use your combo finisher again when your skills are on coold down or right before you see them come back up now the reason for this is because number one your combo finishers do a lot of damage but number two sitting here and doing flurry infinitely is not actually optimal especially when you can add either stun power or more damage using combo finishers now master this is definitely a little bit tough and in actual fights you may definitely not have time to use combo finishers uh in between your skill weaves or anything like that but I figured that it was really important to mention that if you are in between skills and it doesn't feel like you have anything else to do definitely consider using your combo finisher in combination with or right before a skill so that you don't end up having this dead air where you have to rebuild your flurry or rebuild to get to the point where you can flurry for reference what I mean by that is that if you do end up randomly using a combo finisher without a skill as you can see here there's no way for you to then get back into your actual combo that's going to be it for this video though guys I hope you guys learned a lot from this I've spent a lot of time playing llot I know I'm not the most insane player when it comes to Lance slot but I've definitely played enough to say that I've got a decent idea when it comes to how to play the character if you enjoyed this content or more content like this guys and you made it this far in the video thank you so much I appreciate it so much if you have any ideas for character video ideas anything that you want me to cover when it comes to not just Gran blo but anything feel free free to comment it in the comment section below thank you again for everyone that number one has been watching and supporting all the different
