A Brief Visit to Middlesboro Kentucky

hey buddy its ignited Cody and company and we're sitting in the middle of an impact crater that's right around 300 million years ago give or take a few million years what started out what they think started out as asteroids somewhere around the planet Jupiter ended up exploding through that much beer as a meteor right here were at an object that was at least 1,500 feet in diameter hit the earth in the exact spot the town of Middlesboro Kentucky is located this fact wasn't even known until the 1960s when it was discovered up Bank 1966 is when it was discovered let's take a drive through Middlesboro the town at ground zero of an impact crater folks wrong 25e going towards the Cumberland Gap tunnels and the Tennessee and Virginia line for the beautiful little town of Middlesboro the town built in a crater if you look at the mountains around Middlesboro you can kind of tail here you got a Middlesboro mile JC Penney's Dollar Tree roses milk to show fit there's a lot of play in a cinema and once again played paint in the mountains in the back looking around at this you kind of want to write took them in 1960 to discover it was a crater Middlesboro is the boyhood home of Lee Majors although he wasn't born in Kentucky he moved to Kentucky I think at the age of 1 or thereabouts and spent much of his childhood here in Middlesboro I bleed living with an eye doctor of course you can google Lee Majors that biography and get on with that probably a lot more detailed man give me but this is the home of the bionic man the Six Million Dollar Man which adjusted for inflation would probably be like 30 billion now and you know contrary to some of the rumors out here he did not dig the Cumberland Gap tunnel with his Bonnie farm that was actually done by the Army Corps of Engineers wasn't mrs. Ted we've got a mrs. Cody with us and a an unusual treat we got Papa Cody with us but don't we over here do the rat mrs. Cody to the right we're not going through tunnels we won't go through downtown ants right your other right okay they go down in there and that's a beautiful part of town there's other Zone KFC cities I burn over responsibility for any accidents at my house by telling me it's okay to go when it's not yeah that's right now I understand that it's flooded pretty bad right around downtown here in the flood that we had a few weeks ago yeah is it the uh was it may may change the night what wasn't the football field man her hostel mainly major field I think it is too I'm sure folks from Middlesboro can give more accurate information than me please feel welcome to comment in the comment section and give us all the cool information you tanked up on your beautiful hometown very friendly people see welcome to Middlesbrough now you'll notice you'll find Middlesbrough spilt two ways according to Wikipedia both ways are correct once again locals were no better than me although I have to spend a lot of time in Middlesboro not recently we've spent quite a bit of time down here you know it pretty good don't you papa coyote yeah but it looks like me around the bicycle just to try to avoid running over him get back way for commerce let's go I'll let you round when you get up there actually that general ambassador was armed yeah don't wanna crown him too much beautiful First Baptist Church I love big old churches the older and the bigger the better of course little country churches are wonderful too all Church is wonderful the part of the crackers I would assume so we're going to take you to the hospital and obviously we're in a major residential area here and judging from what I'm seeing it looks like some people's cleaning their houses out I think maybe they got a little water here I don't know once again if you live here hey give me information over what sections got flooded what didn't be greatly appreciated don't want to get in those that's a full wave now you're fine why was it just me or we don't really fast like 25 notice I always seems faster I'm not driving we're at the Middlesboro a RH Hospital our h is a Appalachian Regional Health be able to hear turn we might do a little video there at the mall or some more you know he returned be nice a little diner with it you gotta make mouths with Caesar a gas station it's nice and I put a few conveniences close to hospital when you have to be there on that to somebody having at hospitals it's not had anything close at hand the Middlesboro Airport had that for a long time it was the site of the restoration of the glacier girl p38 fighter World War 2 era fighter which was recovered from a glacier I believe it now lives in Texas but its first flight after it was reconstructed was right here in Middlesboro and we witnessed that I mean ass about the fan some pictures of it in the put them up and then to this video but I don't think I can but I'll see are you then seeing that so we'll stop this part here and then Willa maybe did a little more stuff up the road here looks like we got a little uh something going on with cops / - our rat is that three of them three those a Melissa period occasionally I like to do for trucks and stuff but I don't I don't invade people's privacy if they've had an accident or something because I'm walking with somebody invading man just to get some YouTube views we don't do that my occasionally a video of speeding for our truck but that's a lot different than forever taking it somebody's accident tragedy involved don't you think this is God yeah Oh looks like they've had a farmer up there and that a building there yeah this point to downtown right here the business that section is really really beautiful really looks like an old-school southern small town now we couldn't leave folks without getting a little video of the welcome the Middle's world sign could we [Applause] get a little flavor of downtown [Applause] [Music] [Applause] you know I thank the guy who put up the concrete signs that says prepare to meet God now let throughout the boss or say throughout the South now I bleed throughout the whole country I think he's from up down here maybe I should have googled back before i did the video ver that just occurred to me so I couldn't have Google water wouldn't thank him Hey look at this look at this neat little drive in countries driving hey we made we may get something eat there open we do the video [Applause] [Laughter] [Applause] and don't you love this sign right here serving you since 1955 boy I bet something folks were in the parking lot of the Middlesboro mile I want to thank you guys we're taking a little trip through the town and the crater with me you're appreciated like I like I said before you guys are the ignited Cody if it were you I'd just be a guy walking around talking this up with a camera I so appreciate you if you like this video hit the thumbs up subscribe share this video on Facebook and any other social media you can you're appreciated bye bye you
