A Brief Visit to Kingdom Come State Park

hey everybody it's the ignited Kody and you were looking at beautiful Cumberland Kentucky and we're about to go into Kingdom Come State Park isn't this beautiful up here and we're not even in the park yet parks that way that way yeah better way hey let's go take a look at Kingdom Come State Park isn't that beautiful down there lot of you [Music] hey folks the kingdom come park sits in an elevation of 2700 feet has eight overlooks it's named after the popular Civil War novel the little Shepherd of kingdom come by Kentucky author John Fox jr. it became a state park in 1961 and here's a map of it you can pause that and study to beyond - here's some more information on the park and you can pause this and read it if you want to a little at a time I'd read it to you but a contrary to popular belief even I'm not even I'm not that long-winded let's go I'm gonna take a look later on for look folks this is just simply breathtaking look at this from this earth view from this blockhouse overlook just look at that I did believe this is the first place in Harlan County they had confirmed black bear sightings hey booboo let's go up to the kingdom come Park the kingdom come Park a course is a in Cumberland Kentucky which is in Harlan County northern Harlan County in extreme southeastern Kentucky let's go we're going to take a look at the lake they have and over there is Lake hey they must have pretty good fishing up here for that many people will be out I think that's most people I've seen in one place in a couple of weeks except wild Mart of course let's go take a look at it it's pretty good shot of the lake from this pretty little trail they got here look this is just a real pretty spot up here [Applause] boy I love all this time work this is really beautiful there's our little lake again look this away and see what's up there or is it these steps and this town work just beautiful of course it's starting to resemble it exercise a little bit might activate my allergy to exercise here in a minute looks like some folks taking graduation pictures down there and a lot of folks fishing ain't nothing wrong with fishing it more speaking people spent their time fishing instead of making trouble this would be a wonderful world of live in [Applause] look at these bankers they got down here and that trail right up next to life this is a very fishermen friendly place and especially if you look over at the parking lot I'd say he's pretty handicap accessible for folks and I'll let mobile box to fish so that's really great that's really great because everybody should be able to enjoy fishing Laurel trail cave amphitheater 1/4 mile top of Raven Rock 3/8 mile the apparel on trail nature Haven and IB trilled all right folks this is how official II reached the point where it's exercise and I am so allergic to exercise I mean I got nothing against exercise it how you do it from a recliner I'd be fine with it but this is beautiful and worth it even for no lazy guy like me Pine Trail to playground man and after ain't often you find a sign pointing the playground in a place like that I'm pretty desperate for a place for your kids to play like this a playground Hansel and Gretel was looking for Wow this is just beautiful who this what a great place for a cookout look at the size of those gnats bugs flies whatever they are I bet in the summertime it's not unusual to see a snake around here listen that stream coming from mother but look Rockman that's it's very neat hey there goes that one that showed me a minute ago look at that right down on that rock look what we're at man look at this and that's just cool you think we can make a few more steps let's give it a try look at these beautiful rocks and look at that and here's the cave amphitheater I feel the heat coming off these rocks above me from the hot day we've had here southeast Kentucky Wow listen that the COO sticks in here and now these ladies and gentlemen taking center stage ignited Cody give him a bowl of soup beans and imagine he'll entertain you don't like it don't look like they've actually used this in a while that's kind of a shame as this is really neat yep this is neat there's another trail for another day can't show you the whole park course but that's what's neat about it you can get a lot more than one videos one video out of it there's there's a cave amphitheater and that is beautiful it's beautiful back in there folks this trails kind of rough going down here at least for somebody with my knees so I'm gonna pause this have I file down I want no witnesses and that is for the amphitheater is what we was just at and this is going back down the trail folks I tell you that this is a really nice place I love this water running down under this rock and that folks up there was the cave amphitheater I like it I didn't like a walk to it but I liked it well back at the lake folks we have found the dam through you're out there there's a little way to the little lake isn't that cool Oh folks Lissa let's see if we got time that lease maybe look at one more quick thing this is just so neat like I said we'll come back and it's really neat that there's more stuff here in one video a hole but uh let's see if we can get one more look at one more thing I'm really having a good time with you guys hey folks I said I hope we had time for one more thing here at kingdom come park well we've got time for one more thing create overlook and it's a beautiful time of day to see it elevation two thousand seven hundred and sixty feet no joke it says it right there let's go up here and take a look wow look at this folks isn't it beautiful isn't this beautiful just look at this my goodness it's beautiful what a panorama there's no shrugs what a panorama man this is just beautiful look at sky [Music] beautiful folks beautiful let's look at that can you see that there's a lunatic right there stand on that rail like that [Laughter] hey no pictures please and can y'all see the moon up there right there you see that boy that's a nice like I said look at that beautiful moon after you can see it I certainly hope you can well folks it's getting dark and
