this is our 72 h1b with 12 000 miles we got this they had it painted white someone chopped the rear fender so we were gonna paint a rear fender and everything to make it match then we ordered the decals from rick brett rb's decals and uh anyway we decided let's just hold off so we're going to send the decals to uh two brothers painting in oklahoma so i had to get a rear fender and i found another refrigerator but are not really familiar with a 72 h1b what we're going to do we're going to take this apart we're not going to use this fender but i have another one because i just realized it takes these brackets right here so we're going to take this off so we can get these brackets so i have a small bone yard of our own personal stuff i realize it has this handle on it right here to pull it up so the chrome is very poor obviously the condition of the bike is very poor as you can see the center stand rotted away but it still has original pins in it so we're going to take some parts off this bike and then i'm going to take it back to my personal bone yard however this if we can't find another one that's better than this we're gonna powder coat this black we're gonna get these painted and i have one of i have this tail light wire cover and much better shape this is this is going to be pitted but these look like they're going to be okay-ish then this is the rear stay we make this stay for a 69 to 71. 72 h1b was a little different because it takes the reflectors here on the side so this is another one that if we can't get this cleaned up we'll probably get this powder coated to make it look good and i think the black powder coating will blend well with the orange we're not making the bike a hundred percent perfect but we're gonna make a really nice rider out of it i've had this bike for years and you can see it's this is nice it's got the someone put an o-ring chain on it that wasn't me the rims look good the spokes look good the covers look good the fork tubes are really pretty nice and i believe that's the original tire on the front if you look at the meters they're they're gorgeous of course their front brake doesn't work but it's got the original grips someone painted the exhaust pipes black and we stripped the paint off the off them if you come to the rear wheel look at the condition of the brake panel the the brake actuator arm all that stuff is really nice you got the horns here for cooling the brakes and everything then if you look at the old one here you can see just how nice this one really is so we're we're going to start uh we're going to pull that apart we're going to use a few parts off it some stuff we're going to throw away some stuff we're going to kind of keep but uh just kind of kind of want to show you where we're at with this stuff all right we'll proceed and we'll show you some more a little bit here okay uh i'm starting to really get into this bike i didn't realize how nice it really was i've had it sitting in the corner for years this is nice this is a nice bike okay so what we're doing here is i wanted to i noticed this was all goon this hole so in our parts dash i already had these for another bike years ago i already had them painted look at that see here's the here's what the problem was this was all goon this is nice this is gooned and then uh i have this uh one on here out of an h2 and i think these are the same reflectors so this will all be original stuff so we're gonna try to make this bike with all original parts so just a nice little added thing i kind of get excited about this stuff so here it is okay we have some more progress on our 72 h1b we did get the motorcycle running and uh motor looks nice we did put this oil tank cover on it just so we can get it started i'm having the body set repainted we took all the we took all the paint off the pipes and cleaned them up a little bit it has new kenda tires on it new steering bearings has some nice powder coated headlamp brackets with the reflectors these are the ones that we took off it and if you notice they just drilled the holes too big for whatever reason or whatever so we have the turn signals on it the bike only has 12 000 miles this has new fork seals all the bolts are nice all the turn signals are looking good original grips this is going to be a very nice motorcycle if you come over here you can see we have the original air box on it all new fuel line we're going to come up with a bracket here i think we have one of these but this is just temporarily the when we got it it was missing this bar here so this bar came from our barn and it was kind of gooned so we had it powder coated what we have here is also we're going to put this on this is where you pull the motorcycle up now this was missing so this also came off a bike that i had that was kind of gooned so we had this uh powder coated i think the black is gonna look okay it'd be nice to get the chrome stuff eventually but this kind of blends in nice then we have the front fender bracket powder coated this is going to be nice then we have the two fender brackets that go inside powder coated it's got a new o-ring chain chain guard's all nice we put a new foot foot rest rubber on it i was missing one of those we are going to take the paint off this shifter here see that's kind of painted up here so that's one of the last things we got to do and as i said it has new tires on it now we're going to rebuild this caliper and we're going to rebuild this master cylinder because i wanted to keep the stock stuff on there so whatever it takes to make it nice we're going to do that so here's most of the parts here so we're going to go over all this and it has the stock air box snorkel with the dampeners on the bottom has the stock air box here and the boot okay so just want to show you some progress what a big change thanks hey i'm johnny from johnny's vintage motorcycle company and we're offering for sale 72 kawasaki h-1b we've had this bike sitting around in our warehouse for some time and it was uh painted white so anyway we wound up we sent the paint job out to two brothers painting in oklahoma and they they did a really nice job on it paint's really nice um it's got new kenda tires on it it's basically an unrestored motorcycle and uh many many original parts it has uh we didn't pull the engine apart or anything because it runs good we clean the carburetors it has a new pangol fuel valve of course fresh two-stroke oil and everything works the rear bar we had powder coated the chrome wasn't nice and 72 is a very unique bar to its own self because the reflector is on the back where the other ones aren't drilled for the reflector so that's a one year only part for the 72 h1b also on the other side of the motorcycle this has been powder coated the lift up bar here it's got a new chain wheels and spokes are nice it's got 12 153 miles original grips lots of original parts this is really a nice bike very nice uh got an issue here with a knob is a little broken right here so you can see that um i don't believe the bike has ever been in an accident and i don't represent it as a mint condition bike because it's not mint but it's a seriously nice uh everyday rider now we haven't had a chance to put a lot of miles on this yet because we just put the body set on and we got too many motorcycles but uh just going through the fronts of the rear fork tubes are pretty nice they're not perfect but they're pretty nice um brake seems to work good there's a little scratches here on the on the ball here original grips i mean all in all this is a pretty nice bike so we're going to uh get her fired up it's got a pingle valve on it we have uh fuel filters on it just so we know what's happening underneath here is it is the fuel valve we've got off and on there is no reserve it's on either on off or it's on there's no in between okay so a little bit of fuel get down in there it's cold so what i'm gonna do is i'm going to start it with the choke just to see what's happening here what's the start ah [Music] [Music] um okay uh now that we've the transmission works the motor seems to run pretty good and we only have a mile on it after we put the body set on and everything and like i said i've had this for a long time so we always like to turn the gas off now we got the updated pinkle valve because that's the cool thing to do in our opinion the old diaphragms were okay but you can get parts for these and these have a warranty so you can always send us back the penguin get it rebuilt if you so desire so like i said uh this will make a nice everyday rider got 12 153 miles they have a clear title we're gonna be offerings for sale on ebay at no reserve so what a nice starter bike if you're looking for a nice little triple uh we are selling it as is because we have not rebuilt the motor or anything but it sounds everything sounds good okay thanks for looking
