faith Jesus spoke of little faith Jesus spoke of great faith Jesus marveled at people for their unbelief and Jesus marveled at people for how great their faith was some people don't even have faith to pray for the sick other people have faith to say a prayer for the sick then I was in a meeting in Rhode Island when I was in Bible College and the man ministering said I want everybody that's deaf or hard-of-hearing and one or both ears to come up to the front and he took an offering plate you know they have the offering plates in church that are gold colored with the red felt on the bottom burgundy or whatever and he went down the line and said everybody put your hearing aids in the offering plate I've never seen anything like that before and then he went down the line and 30-some people thirty three maybe all had their eyes or their ears opened up and received their hearing every one of them testified and you know how I know they weren't faking because I was one of them I had basically lost I won't say all my hearing I had lost a lot of hearing in my left ear because I started playing the drums when I was 16 years old and like an idiot you know not at 16 pretty much some people some people never pull out of it but I mean it takes it takes a man till they're about 35 or 40 to realize they have to take care of themselves a little bit that you don't get hearing back you don't get eyesight back so I played drums in my room and I would do it without ear protection all the time so the snare e'er the the the snare drums on your left if you're right-handed that ear was that was pretty gun and when he prayed for my ear it felt like Luanne you have water and you're in a bathtub and it all rushes out and like you could hear before but now you can hear everything that's what it felt like and I never lost the hearing again well what's the difference between not praying for the sick praying for the sick from a distance and father we just pray for those that maybe have what level you operate in seven steps to the highest kind of faith step number one know the integrity of God's Word know the integrity of God's Word the first step necessary to attain the highest kind of faith is to know the integrity of God's Word you must know that God's Word is actually what it declares itself to be the Word of God is a revelation from God to us we should also realize that the Bible is God speaking to us now today the Bible is not only a book of the past and a book of the future but it is a book of the now the Bible is not only a book of the past and a book of the future but it is a book of the now this book the Bible is a God breathed God and dwelt God inspired message this book the Bible is a god-breathed God indwelt God inspired message NIC if you could grab me faith you become one of those Christians that say stuff like well I know the Bible says that but God expects us to use what you know they don't have any any understanding that this is God speaking I've heard people say you know I want to hear God speak some preachers say if you want to hear God speak read the Bible out loud this is God speaking to me and the Bible says in numbers 23:19 God is not a man that he should lie nor the son of man that he should change his mind if he spoke a thing he'll bring it to pass if he said it he'll carry it through if I can find what God said to me in this book I can stand on it and it doesn't matter who agrees or disagrees no the integrity of God's Word Hebrews 4:12 for the word of God is quick and powerful sharper than any two-edged sword piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart Moffitt's translation reads for the logos Word of God is a living thing you see quick means alive or living think of that the Bible is a living book carries power that's why any any demonic government in order to do what they want to do what's the one book they have to ban by a scripture that just came to me and I want to read it in the King James I believe it's acts 24 acts 24 verse 14 Paul's on trial and this is what he says but this I confess unto thee that after the way which they call heresy so worship I the God of my father's believing all things which are written in the law and the prophets you know what he said I'll tell you why I'm on trial I followed this book with such ferocity that they call it heresy but I believe everything that is written in what his Bible was at that time the law and the prophets I believe all things that are written in this book I want you to take your Bible and if you don't have your Bible with you you should have it with you but I want you to hold your Bible up and I want you to say I believe everything that is written in this and the Holy Spirit will empower you to do it Holy Spirit empower me by the gift of faith to believe all things that are written seven steps to the highest kind of faith step number one know the integrity the veracity the power of God's Word the integrity does not fail God doesn't lie God doesn't change his mind the grass withers and the flower fades but the word of our God stands forever therefore the first step to attaining the highest kind of faith is to settle on the absolute integrity of God's Word the Word of God should be foremost importance in your life sometimes people feel that God hasn't spoken to them unless they've received a message in tongues or a prophecy but God's Word the Bible is God speaking to us and tongues and interpretation or prophecy are not to be put above the holy written word of God the word comes first the gift of tongues interpretation of tongues and prophecy our inspirational vocal gifts given to us in order to inspire us in line with the written word God and if someone gives an utterance that is not in line with the word then it's not the Holy Spirit and manifestation no it's just somebody speaking out of his own thinking or speaking by a wrong spirit we need to judge these things in light of the word as we're told to do the Word of God is a foremost important because it is God speaking to us I've always maintained that attitude and just acted upon the word in that way as though the Lord Jesus Christ himself or here in person speaking to me when you settle on that fact and have gone a long way to you have gone a long way to understanding faith there is no need to try and argue about the Bible let me think about it the devil didn't even argue about the Bible hey Uganda been to your nation love you when Jesus quoted the word to the devil he never even reported it's settled it's amazing to me how many people endeavor to get around certain truths in the Bible or explain them away but you should always accept the Bible for what it says and walk in the light of it it seems some people want the word to say certain things so they just sort of read certain things into the Bible whether they're in there or not but we only have the right to believe what the Bible says not what we think it says when you really begin to study the Bible for yourself and accept it as it is you will wonder why in the world you believe some things the way you did it is absolutely astounding some of the things people believe that really aren't in the Bible it seems we often accept that someone says about that what someone says about the word instead of seeing it for ourselves what the Word of God actually says and that's why I've been careful in these lessons how many scriptures do we go through per lesson I want you to see what the Bible says step number one seven ingredients to the highest kind of faith ingredient number one know the integrity of God's Word ingredient number two know the reality of our redemption in Christ know the reality of our redemption in Christ I want you to say right where you're at I am redeemed no the reality of your redemption in Christ the second step necessary to attain the highest kind of faith is to know the reality of our redemption in Christ we should understand redemption not just as doctrine and not as a philosophy or as a creed of some kind we should know that in Christ we have actually been redeemed from the authority of Satan for in the new birth we have been translated into the kingdom of God's son the kingdom of God in other words we have been placed into the very family of God now here's the scripture on being delivered from Satan's Kingdom and I want you to say that where you're at I've been delivered from Satan's Kingdom not I'm hope to get delivered I need delivered I have been delivered from Satan's Kingdom Colossians 1 12 through 14 giving thanks unto the Father which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the Saints in light who hath delivered us from the power of darkness Colossians 1:13 who hath hath is has not is going to deliver us not is in the process of delivering us who hath delivered us from the power of Darkness that's why you don't hear me try to get people free from generational curses if you're saved you're delivered you might need to find out you are but you are Jesus has delivered us from the power of darkness how much of the power of darkness did Jesus deliver us from a little much most are all oh Jesus has delivered us from the power of darkness and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son in whom we have redemption through his blood even the forgiveness of sins another translation of verse 12 reads which made us able to be partakers of the inheritance of the Saints in light we are able to be partakers of our inheritance and we can enter into our inheritance in Christ now read verse 13 who has delivered us from the power of darkness this verse does not say God is going to deliver us it says he has already delivered us when we were born again into God's kingdom the Greek word translated power here means Authority in other words we could read that scripture who has delivered us from the authority of darkness now that word darkness means everything that Satan is the kingdom of Satan but in Christ we've been delivered from the power or authority of Satan's Kingdom Nant raised the Lord I feel this welling up in God's Word is alive praise the Lord Colossians 1:14 says in whom we have redemption through Jesus's blood therefore Satan cannot be an authority over the believer for we've been redeemed revelation 12:11 revelation 12:11 and they overcame him Satan by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony the American Standard Version reads they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony the blood of Jesus is the basis for our victory but you have to add your testimony to that then we talked about this yesterday you have to add your confession to it you have to stand your ground against the enemy with your confession of faith in God's Word because Satan is the god of this world and he will try to have authority over you Satan will try to exercise his authority over you in life but you simply have to know you have been delivered from the power of darkness and from the authority of Satan through the blood of Jesus Christ you have to know that by virtue of the new birth you have been translated into the kingdom of God's dear son Colossians 1:13 which we already read in Christ you have redemption through his blood and you can overcome the devil in every single combat no matter what the tester trial is because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of your testimony or your confession of faith so so many people have only been taught that the blood of Jesus forgave their sins but the blood of Jesus the Bible says in the book of Colossians not only forgave our sins but delivered us from the power of darkness I want you to write that down in the comments and I want you to write in your notes you should even write it in your Bible be a good thing for you to see from time to time not I need delivered I am delivered from the power of darkness that doesn't just mean witches and you know magic spells everything that belongs to Satan I've been delivered from why do you think Jesus went around just healing people left to right and center because sickness and disease is not of God it's of darkness so when he saw it he attacked it because he came to set people free from everything that belongs in the realm of darkness I have been delivered I'm not just forgiven I'm delivered from the power of darkness think how many people they know you know I know I've been forgiven but man I I need prayer because I really battled with alcohol you don't need prayer you need to read or have somebody read it to you and clean the wax out of your ears Christ has delivered me from all the power of darkness now you start believe we've spent two days on this you start believing that in your heart and speaking it with your mouth you're gonna need prayer all Jesus did to send Satan on the run was quote three scriptures to him that's how powerful the Bible is 1st Corinthians chapter 6 verses 19 and 20 first Corinthians 6:19 and 20 what know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you which you have of God and ye are not your own for you are bought with a price therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are gods glorify God in your body in your spirit both things belong to God are you coming to sit with me see you later here the Bible says not only your spirit but your body is bought with a price think of that so glorified God in your body and in your spirit both our gods praise God notice it says glorify God in your body 1st Corinthians 6:20 that means your to glorify God in your body does God get any glory out of the devil dominating you physically with sickness and disease could God get any glory out of a body which is the temple of the Holy Ghost being afflicted by the enemy with sickness and disease certainly not we need to see these things clearly in the light of God's Word and then we will learn to take a stand against anything that attacks our bodies just as quickly as we would stand against any of Satan's attacks Colossians 1:12 which we already read says giving thanks under the Father which hath made us meet or able to be partakers of the inheritance in the Saints in light Healing is part of our inheritance as children of God as we walk in the light healing is revealed to us in God's Word the Bible tells us that we have Dominion and authority over the devil through the blood of Jesus which includes sickness and disease John 10:10 Matthew 817 first Peter 2:24 as we saw in Revelation 12:11 it has revealed to us and God's Word that it is by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony that we overcome Satan if we're born again we already have been delivered from the power of darkness and have already been translated into the kingdom of God's dear son write that I'm telling you this will help you right have already just right have already those two words have already I'm not trying to get something I have it already we have already been delivered from the power of darkness and have already been translated into the kingdom of God's dear son now notice this verse says giving thanks under the Father which hath made us able to be partakers of the inheritance thank God I can partake of my inheritance right now some of you are go to churches or grew up in churches where they were always talking about heaven one day in heaven how many know sickness will be over no yeah it will be over then but the Bible says he made us able to partake of our inheritance now I can partake of it now you can write that down I can partake everything that's available in heavens available to me now pray that his will that's done in heaven be done on earth we are delivered from the authority and power of darkness now we are translated into the kingdom of God's dear son now we have deliverance and Redemption from the hands of Satan now we can overcome the enemy now by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony our confession we can glorify God now in our bodies and in our spirits which are God's now man if we only cover these two ingredients and be a happy day ingredient number three seven ingredients to the highest kind of faith number three know the reality of the new creation say it two more times give you time to write it know the reality of the new creation know KN o W know the reality of the new creation the third necessary ingredient to attain the highest kind of faith is to know the reality of the new creation and to know the legal side of redemption you need to know that in the mind of Justice you were recreated in Christ Jesus you should also know the reality of the new birth vitally for yourself you should know and understand that the moment you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and confess him as your Lord you are recreated I'm gonna read that again you should know and understand that the moment you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and confess him as your Lord you were recreated that is when the legal act of redemption which was wrought in jesus's death burial resurrection became a reality in your own life in the new birth you have in your spirit the very life and nature of God I don't say that again you have in your spirit you have in your spirit the very life and nature of God now I'm just thinking as I'm saying this how many people who are bound say the opposite of that all the time you know how to catch some depressed person in church saying you know well I'm really battling depression but I know that I have in my spirit the very life and nature of God you couldn't stay depressed no what will you hear people like that say well you know I'm just really battling I really think I'm oppressed I sometimes I even wonder if I might I might be possessed and do you think I'm possessed they get their mind all the exact opposite of redemption because in you need you really if you missed the last two days you don't hear me saying this all the time you never going to come in boldly before the throne and attain what you're believing for in faith feeling like a defeated sinner now you know I just I really battle fear it's the exact opposite I am recreated I'm born again the sinner is dead but me that now lives as Christ in the flesh the Bible says I'm a joint heir with Christ he's my elder brother I'm born into his family I've been born into his family born of the Spirit born of the blood hallelujah man it's awesome it's no longer I that liveth but Christ liveth in me I want to tell every alcoholic the alcoholic is dead the drug addict is dead the abuse victim is dead the person who experienced a life-altering trauma is dead you've been made new If any man be in Christ he's not a sinner saved by grace he's a new creature the old life Christ with the devil or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel and what agreement hath the temple of God with idols for you are the Temple of the Living God and God hath said I will dwell in them and walk in them and I will be their God and they will be my people come out from among them and be separate step number ingredient number 4 know the reality of our righteousness in Christ know the reality of our righteousness in Christ so if you understand what I'm teaching you can never sing that song there's no mountain he won't climb running after me there's no wall he won't knock down running after me because he's not running after me he abides in me and I abide in him I think a lot of the people who write songs that we sing modern songs not all not most a lot I said I think they let they live in sin or battle sin and they've never gotten victory and they write the songs from that standpoint because they they feel convicted but I'm not living in sin made up my mind about that a long time ago and that's what we're getting to now know the reality of our righteousness in Christ Romans 3:23 - 26 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God being justified freely they have to attain by right living but that's not true righteousness is a gift obviously believers are supposed to live right but righteousness means rightness and right standing and righteousness is a gift how do you know that Romans 5:17 for if by one man's offense death reigned by one much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign as kings in this life by Jesus Christ that's Romans 5:17 the gift of righteousness those that have received the gift of righteousness shall reign in life as a king by Jesus Christ write down righteousness is a gift not one you have to seek for he gave it to us upon salvation then it's your job to use the gift live righteously God is our righteousness God himself has become our righteousness God is our righteousness praise the Lord God the Father became our righteousness when he imparted to us his nature eternal life when we were born again in the new birth Jesus became our righteousness the moment sacrifice of himself Hebrews 9:26 no the only fight the believer is called upon to fight is the good fight of faith and there is a fight to faith if there is a fight to faith there must be enemies or hindrances to faith if there weren't any enemies or hindrances of faith there wouldn't be any fight to it so we're going to talk about very quickly these six enemies that try to fight your faith and you beat every one of them six big enemies to faith we'll call it number one lack of faith comes from lack of knowledge of God's Word Romans 10:17 faith comes by hearing hearing by the word of God lack of knowledge of God's Word will hinder your faith number two lack of understanding of our place in Christ the second enemy to faith is a lack of understanding of our place in Christ enough Christ's place in our lives go through the New Testament particularly the epistles which were written to you and write down entire phrases that tell you who you are in Christ and what you have in Christ because what we write down we remember better enemy number three lack of understanding regarding our righteousness we've covered that at length Psalm 32:1 and 2 blessed is he whose understanding regarding our right to use the name of Jesus we just covered that enemy number five lack of understanding about acting on the word number five enemy number five lack of understanding about acting on the word God's words not just to be believed it's to be acted upon a be simpson who was the first minister who preached divine healing in the United States as far as I know just acted like the word is true and he received his healing in his testimony in a Christian magazine at the age of 46 dr. Abbey Simpson who was a Presbyterian minister at the time and later found that the Christian Missionary Alliance was told he was dying of a heart condition and was given only about six months to live dr. Simpson said he had heard many testimonies of healing even in his own church he took a short leave of absence and went up to his farm where he could spend a lot of time studying the Word of God at the end of the two weeks dr. Simpson took a piece of paper and a pencil and wrote after searching the Word of God for two weeks I am convinced the Bible teaches that divine healing is for us today and I this day accept Jesus Christ as my healer and declare that I am now healed of my heart trouble and that I am well and I promised God to use this newfound strength and life and energy entirely for his purpose and to further the gospel I promised God I will share this truth of healing with others and will help them after that time Simpson went to a luncheon where he was the speaker all that came to him to speak about was the one word out of Matthew 817 himself so dr. Simpson opened his Bible and read the entire verse and told the audience he wanted to focus his attention on the word himself then he gave them his testimony about he how he had been searching the Bible and had come to the conclusion that Jesus was still healer today after the luncheon he was invited to go mountain climbing by the men to whom he had spoken the thought immediately came to him that he couldn't be able to because of his heart condition but then he remembered he had declared his healing so he accepted the invitation and went up to this point he had not really seen or felt his healing but had just accepted it declared it by faith all the way up the mountain every time he got his mind off the Word of God he'd began to feel the symptoms of his heart condition but he overcame these feelings because as he claimed the word again for his healing all the symptoms would go away he fought this battle all the way up the mountain but when he got up the mountain he walked about victorious without any symptoms dr. Simpson was 70 years old when I read his testimony in his magazine article brother Hagin said and he said he'd never had any more symptoms whatsoever after the mountain climbing experience PC Nelson said that more people lose their healing over a counter-attack than anything else think of it for example an assistant chaplain during the Korean War said the United States took one mountain in battle 14 different times and each time lost it or they lost it 13 times and the 14th time they kept it it's the same way with faith real faith holds on to the blessings of God real faith is the child of the knowledge of the word dr. Simpson acted on the word and got real faith from it instead of trying to believe he just acted upon the word he acted like the Bible is true act like the Bible is true enemy number six lack of understanding about holding fast our confession of faith Hebrews 10:23 let us hold fast our profession or confession of our faith without wavering for he is faithful that promised kenneth hagin said
