weather's been like straight butthole up here the past couple of days like last night the garage flooded we had like this crazy rain windstorm that came literally out of nowhere and flooded the garage so we had to like get everything out of there and whatnot so uh the weekend's supposed to be pretty crappy but i'm taking advantage of this small like sunny two-hour window that i have to actually go to a driving video with the car so over the past week or so i think it's been about a week now josh and i've been tuning the car it's pretty much where it needs to be but like in the top top of the rpm band like seven to eight thousand rpm uh we're running into a fuel pressure drop with the fuel pressure regulator something in the fuel system is causing it to drop whether that's the hop switch for the second fuel pump or it is something else in line in the system that's causing fuel pressure to drop so we're seeing like a 6 psi drop up top so at like 68 psi drops down to 62 and that small change affects injector duty cycle a decent amount it changes our injector duty cycle from 70 up to like 90 95 percent so i got to stay out of that area of the rpm band right now until we get that worked out but the car made about 630 wheel horsepower 535 foot pounds on josh's virtual dyno we are gonna be taking this to the track to do a quarter mile to see what it will actually trap at to verify that as well in the future i don't know when the next track day is that we're gonna be able to get out to but the car will be going there with josh when we get out there but today we're gonna go play with this thing because i've been driving this thing all around we have some with some fresh ethanol in the car we're sitting like e68 right now not the best not the worst but it's what i have to work with oh also the mint the pink and the black og drive hoodies are all on sale for the next 48 hours if you guys didn't get a chance to order one in the last drop and you do want to order one i'll link them down below if you guys want to jump on that but let's go mob around in this thing okay so let me start off by saying i think the amount of power this car makes is a little absurd for street use but you know it's nice to have it when you want it so using josh's virtual dyno it takes into account the weight of the car the size of the tire the logs that i send them and then it predicts a very it's a pretty like close estimate of how much power the car is actually making josh has proven his virtual dyno a couple times with track runs and we'll be doing the same thing with this car once we get out to the track but um even if it's like minus 30 horsepower or whatever 600 horsepower for the street is a lot like i've genuinely thought that i've had fast cars in the past i have never driven a car this fast and it was a little terrifying it was enjoyable like i absolutely love this car i love how much power it makes but it's a little scary like i don't understand any circumstance where you're going to need 630 horsepower but any day of the week i'll take it i also have a gopro up in the engine base i'm kind of hoping that that doesn't like fall out and just get demolished so right now the power band realistically is a little above 4000 rpm um depending on what gear i'm in is when i can really get into boost if i'm like all out flat flooring it from fourth gear at 3000 rpm we don't really hit full boost until about 5000 which a lot of that has to do with the turbine housing that we have on that turbo so it's a 6062 with a t4 housing on it undivided the reason i got that turbo is because it was in stock and ready to ship and going rotated was kind of a spur of the moment decision it wasn't really planned um so i've already contacted precision i'm getting a v-band exhaust housing for that 6062. uh that should bring spool down by about i don't know 600 rpm or so we should have about full boost around 4 400 or 4 400. we'll be swapping to that here in the future as well we also need to jump up to bigger injectors so like i said in the top of the rpm band we are running into a fuel pressure issue where fuel pressure is dropping which isn't a good thing um it's definitely certainly not a good thing at all um so i'm trying to avoid that area of the rpm band right now but i mean i don't really have any need to be in the seven to eight thousand range while driving on the street this car's a daily driver but the car is overwhelmingly fun to drive so right now i have about 563 miles on this new engine that we put together uh no issues with it so far a lot of subaru's out today too i haven't really had anyone try to mess with me in the car yet but we'll do a couple polls while we're out and about because it's uh it's definitely fun to get into boost in this thing yeah we'll go straight we'll go down the big hill the big hill sounds fun the injectors in this car are fairly loud uh if you guys remember we have id 1700s in here when i was talking to josh he was saying that we may need to jump up to some larger injectors if we want to push more power um which would be like around ide 2000 i don't know if they make id2000s anymore i think they're really like id26s id2600s and if that's the case then it becomes very difficult to control idle so i don't know if i want to try to push it anymore um since we do daily drive this thing i want it to still be very streetable which it is right now i would just like to bring down that rpm band where the power kind of kicks in a little bit with that other exhaust housing i will say that i was worried about balance in the car too as a daily driver with it making like i'm not gonna call it stupid power but with it making so much more power i was a little worried about balance and the car still feels relatively balanced when driving it it doesn't detract from the car that it makes so much power like if you're in like full on boost because right now we're set to about 30 psi on the 6062 if you're full on boost um the car definitely needs a little bit of suspension work to get it to where i'd want it to be just to bring that balance back but for overall daily driving if i'm hanging out and i'm only going up to like 20 25 psi or so car feels fantastic since we're coming up in the winter though i don't think i'm gonna keep the car on e85 all the time like i am right now like right now it's still fall and e85 is still very manageable um i think i'll probably run a flex blend in the car keeping the car maybe around e40 to e50 or so just to get some of the benefits of e85 uh but for the most part i think i'm gonna be swapping back over to pump gas on pump gas the car made about 505 wheel horsepower which is still plenty especially in the winter time up here like i do not doubt and we will go test this i want to launch this car and do all that fun stuff but i do not doubt that this car will break traction on all fours even with the 265s that we have on here now i could see it happening and we're going to verify this we're going to test this we're going to find out because that's what i want to do god they're on a slingshot the fair's going on right now over there they're all in a slingshot getting launched into the universe no thank you [Music] dude it's so quick dude it's so freaking quick oh that was only 24 psi we had eight we had no that was 23.86 we had seven more psi oh oh my god dude i haven't actually played with the car like this at all i just did the last oil change on it yesterday to get off the break-in oil and actually put in normal oil and oh my god actually playing with this thing now feels incredible absolutely wild it picked up so quick and it just kept going oh my god dude ah i've been so i've been trying to be so nice to it the first 500 miles like yeah we've been getting into boosting it and whatnot but i've been trying to like stay off of like getting into the car a lot and holy hell dude that picked up so quick and it doesn't do it justice on camera every time i do one of these driving videos and i always like do an acceleration part the camera never does it just as to how fast it's actually like picking up speed but that picked up speed so quick oh my god dude rotated setups for life it spools quick i will say that oh dude it's cool so quick and it feels so good man that made my butthole like tingly that gave me like a tingly butthole feeling right there oh my god dude oh my god oh my god i thought the fb black was fast i was so wrong oh my god oh yes baby daddy karma what have we done to you this car was such a [ __ ] box when i bought it do you guys remember when i got this car i bought this thing i was like this thing's just gonna be a somewhat stock daily driver i ain't gonna do much to it we're just gonna enjoy it and play with it maybe some minor bolt-ons [ __ ] this thing's making over 600 horsepower now and still my daily let me say that still my daily dude it's so freaking quick who needs this much power on the street we haven't gone above 26 psi either which is good because i'm trying to stay out of like the top of the rpm band but holy hell dude holy hell who needs this who needs this much power every day i'll tell you me am i gonna abuse it hell yeah am i gonna beat on it hell yeah am i gonna enjoy it [ __ ] yeah i'm waiting for the day i just want someone i want someone to try to [ __ ] with me on the freeway now i'm tired of getting picked on by corvettes tired of getting picked on by hellcats my car may say taxi on it but i promise you she quit dude we just took off from that [ __ ] honda oh oh my god dude i love it i freaking love it ah imagine that like a ray charles voice with like some smooth jazz in the background i love it and she's got more in her too which is the scary part we could push it farther oh my god huge sons of [ __ ] i'm excited to take this thing to the track i'm so curious on what it'll run in a quarter mile once we get that fuel pressure issue fixed what do you guys think what do you think it'll run in a quarter mile ish roughly oh my god why are there so many people trying to get off on this freeway right here and i feel like it's like an unsuspecting car like granted it has a massive wing it's got flares on and it's wrapped yellow and says taxi most of the subarus up here that are like daily driven are not this quick like most of them up here and i don't wanna i don't wanna like sound like i'm talking down on anyone's cars up here but most of them are not that quick that are daily driven up here so i feel like this is unsuspecting for a lot of the cars that'll try to like mess with me and whenever i do get cars like that try to like mess with me it's always like stock honda accords and some dude in his like 40s that looks like he's cracked out so let's go jet back to the house corvette you want some of the sauce don't you you think you're quick here's the thing corvette you think you're quick and you are quick but you went quicker than me just remember that so to be honest i really don't think there's much else to do motor wise to this car um unless we really wanted to push the bounds and go faster with it but i'm like incredibly happy with the build i do have that sparco seat that i want to put in here that i had allocated for the 17 sti um so i think i'm gonna throw that in here i would like to do a couple other like small interior mods and then we're gonna be re-wrapping the car again here soon for the winter time uh for some reason some of you guys have been asking me if i'm selling this thing i mean i didn't have any intentions on selling it but hey for the right price you two could own a 630 wheel horsepower taxi but that is all i've got for you guys on this one i just wanted to give you guys like a down and dirty like driving video of the car like i said we will be going to the track soon to do a quarter mile run in it because i want to see what it traps and what it'll run uh b i just want to go beat on the car some more and play with it some more and see you know stuff some of you guys were asking me about the 17 still i have no updates from kyle i've been trying to get a hold of him and i have had like little to no luck so i think monday i'm just going to swing down to the shop um go see what's going on with the car and kind of go from there so hopefully there's some 17 videos coming soon i was told that it should be done soon but i'm not getting any info back on it so we'll see what happens we need to get that car going we need to get that car alive and running because we all want to see the blue barou survive and come back to life but anyways that's all i got for you guys on this one if you like the video you know what
