hello everyone if you really want to grow pineapples from the crown or top successfully avoid these six common mistakes one delayed planting when you cut off the pineapple top you should plant it in the soil within a few days although the crown can survive of the fruit for months its energy reserves become depleted with time when you plant the pineapple top that has been off the fruit for a long time its Vigor is drastically reduced and thus it grows slowly and takes a long time to mature this is why you have to plant the top as soon as you take it off if you're not ready to plant you can place the bottom of the crown in water keeping your pineapple top this way will cause it to grow roots and ensure that it remains vigorous when you plant it in the soil this will also make it grow and mature faster two not watering properly watering pineapples can be tricky inadequate watering can cause slow growth and smaller fruits excessive watering fer development of diseases in addition when
