all right i'll tell you if it ain't one thing it's another um we are almost done here [Music] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] all right loaded our stuff going up to uh i actually got four stops uh south dakota uh montana and two in north dakota final in minot these things can be a little tricky and the only oddball thing that uh they've done that i got to deal with is this pallet right here so they put it on this side of the trailer they did two things they blocked where i can put the chain on the little tractor and with that pallet sitting in the middle i don't know i might drive this little tractor forward and get enough to slide that pallet over but what happens if i leave that pallet right there and throw a strap over it that pallet is gonna work its way to the center of the trailer so uh i have to figure something out other than that it's just a little bit of uh finagling i don't know if i can move it forward enough to uh get that pallet in there or not i don't know all right we'll figure it out this thing here is pretty easy this thing oh look at that i just saw that there's a little pallet up on the top up there man i'm glad i saw that so i gotta make sure i do something with that and then these things here not too hard so let me uh let me start on this um and then once i get done i'll show you guys what it looks like but it's been a while since i've done this like i said that one pallet down there is the thing that's bugging me everything else is easy let me get started i'll talk to you guys in a bit okay i got part of the problem fixed so i manhandled that bucket i'm a little sweaty a little stuff like that bugs me oh and then you try to explain to them what to do so what i ended up doing was i i don't have any keys that little thing i put it in neutral it's hydrostatic so it doesn't roll but i managed to push it forward right to the edge or back however you want to look at it right to the edge of the trailer and then i got this bucket and turned it this way so i can put a strap on the bucket right there and then it gives me access to the chain tie downs right there so uh i don't know what they were thinking doing it the other way but i haven't loaded over here in a long time oh boy all right so now that i got everything in position now i can start running my straps and getting everything through here i got to take care of that little pallet up there too let me get going uh i get a bit all right i'll tell you if it ain't one thing it's another um we are almost done here we'll just go quick uh i have a pr i have a problem with the truck but uh let's just take a quick look and we'll look again later i used some equipment you guys have never seen me use those little straps right there i've been dragging them around for a while they're rated for 3 300 pounds put a chain got a strap on the bucket same thing back here these little see those little straps right there and they are rated they are load rated we've got a strap on this bucket a couple straps over this crate right here these right here i haven't used these i've been dragging these for around for a while put a chain through there come down to the winch these are rated for 5400 pounds you see right there um that little pallet on the top i put a two inch strap and strap the pallet to the crate and then we strap the crate to the trailer last thing we're gonna put some straps over these things right here um i stopped to get a drink of water and i kept smelling rotten eggs and uh i took the battery cover off and this battery right here is really hot it's still hot to the touch so i turned the generator off um i don't know if it's the generator causing problems or what but uh i turned the generator off i've uh there's peterbilt dealer or rush truck center dealer about 15 miles from here so i asked him if i could change my batteries in the parking lot they said yes so uh i'm going to start working finish this up get over there so we can get some batteries in the truck all right we're over here at rush and i think we're in olathe kansas they're being nice they're letting me change the batteries on their parking lot a lot of dealers won't let you work on their truck in their parking lot but they're being good so plus i got a good deal on batteries now this is the one right here that was getting real hot it's still hot so so so [Music] so so [Music] uh [Applause] so all right we're good to go i gotta take these back take those old batteries back inside but i recommend rush peterbilt olathe kansas good deal all right talk to you later all right we're done for today we're over here in purserville iowa at the sap brothers truck stop i bought fuel i got to get a shower i'm a mess um i got to feed her i did check the batteries while i was getting fuel pulled the cover off and they're still cold so those other batteries uh overheat sometimes what happens rough roads and the guts of them will break and what's happening is it's shorting out inside and that's what causes it to heat up years ago when me and my wife were driving i was in the sleeper teresa was driving and we had a battery explode inside the uh battery box but uh rule of thumb if you ever smell like the sulfur like rotten eggs around your truck most likely it's your batteries so um that place we stopped at or it was i called it rush peterbilt but it was a rush trucks place they didn't sell peterbilts but it was a rush place ah they were great a lot of the truck places will not let you work on your truck in their parking lot and i asked them before i bought the batteries if they'd let me work on the truck we're on our way to we're going to end up in minot north dakota we're on our way to rapid city south dakota we're going to do that tomorrow hopefully we're going to wake up early in the morning and take off and then we're going to billings montana we're going to try to do that one on friday tomorrow's thursday and then we're going to run over to wilston north dakota and then mina north dakota um i don't usually go up that way i just wanted to change pace this load page pretty good i will most likely have to deadhead a long way out of minot north dakota but i knew that going in but i just wanted to change the pace so anyway all right i'll talk more about that there's bailey dog she's been good today she's anxious for dinner you all right yeah you're good girl all right we'll call it quits talk to you later bye you
