hi how are you I hope that you are well this video as you can see from the title there five truths of being an actor this video was suggested by Rachel who is absolutely lovely thank you so much for all your support Rachel you're a legend child loves you as well so two transfers my friend Charlotte who is Emma Hamilton drinking video which you can see right now she literally suggested this in like February so it's taken me a while but here I am and before we get into the video please do give it a big thumbs up if you enjoy and please you also subscribe down below also click the notification bar to get an email went out of those okay let's get into it so my number one truth and being an accent is it's a lot harder than you think growing up I was doing theater and stuff with people at school specifically and I was so passionate about theater and be like oh and do you want to do sister whatever night no dramas to Dawson it just easy son easy grade I mean theater is hard on your mind on your soul people of the time you often don't get paid very well for it unless you're like at a very very very very very very tough even Western performers don't get paid very well to be in an actor's heart you will always be told that you won't make it so many people out there will be so ready to tell you that you won't make it you just have to be like maybe I want full as try and also if theater is what you love and it's what your entire being wants you to do you've got to go for it you know I mean what's the point in not trying yeah I'm proud that I've moved to London and I'm trying to do it I'm proud my second truth of being an actor is the business is very incestuous I don't mean people in the same families but basically in the show business family there's always going to be somebody in the cast two three droid somebody or flirting with somebody or doing whatever with somebody and in your groups as well people will have been with various people in the group and there's a lot of love and theater is shared around a lot the third secret of being and access it's quite an obvious one and also quite obnoxious but we're all crazy let's be honest you have to be insane to be like yeah I would like to be an actor please because as I said we refer back to number one it's very hard you end up spending a lot of money to do it and it doesn't always pay off but if you love it and you must be absolutely insane also to be an actor you do have to be up for anything you're into an audition and I'll be like I want you to portray the color yellow and you're like oh yeah I'm being yellow this means absolutely we'd like complete seriousness it's a weird business just number four people think that people who do theater and acting and performing art and have a degree in a vocational subject like we are a sick and that's very very wrong to be in a play for example or a musical you have to like research that part like for example assassins that I did with about all of the different people who have tried to assassinate American presidents and I'm like a dumb expert on the subject I know all of their names I know who they tried to kill I know what gulnur used and all sorts of pointless crap but to be in that show and to be able to really portray that character you have to know all this stuff the audience don't know that you know that what you'd be able to tell things with integrity and an honesty and a truthfulness gift other information inside but then helps you it's one of the tools that you use to share your story with the audience number five it's the most judgmental and also the least judgmental business ever I mean that it's very very true on the one hand it's so judgmental obviously every single day you're being judged on your performance the way you look the way you sound the way you walk the way you breathe the way you do everything literally when you're on a show or an audition every part of your personality and physicality is being judged and it can be quite it can be quite hard you have to pretend like it's not happening like I know in classes and stuff when I was training I would be so self-conscious because I was like everyone is judging me right now that was a very big difficult very feet across but at the same time the theater people are also the least judgmental people anybody of any race sexual orientation gender any kind of minority or anything is nothing in the theatre if anything a minority is something that is that is praised and it's like wow I love that you will never be in a theater company where's anybody homophobic or transphobic or anything like that you know in theatre it's great everybody loves each other that's why they call movies Oh I enjoyed my five truths of being an actor I love you very much I will see you next time bye
