was ratatouille the musical the rat of all my dreams??

i cannot cope i was like this will never make it to broadway now i'm like get it to broadway um i'm in love with this man stop hi everybody how are you i hope you're very very well i've not been here in a while maybe you noticed maybe you didn't it's okay if you didn't but it would appear i'm very very very late to the ratatouille ratatouille party which is interesting for me because i'm normally early for everything i actually thought that the ratatouille thing that i was like so late to it that it that the party was over do you know what i mean and then at the beginning of last month they announced that they were going to be doing like an online concert thing with broadway people and the ratatouille world reignited so i did actually film a video about this about a month ago and then i didn't upload it because i've been struggling mentally before then as i say i kind of missed the whole ratatouille thing i hadn't seen a single clip of it i'd heard friends talk about it and i'd seen people tweeting about it and things but i'd actually never seen a video and you're like amy don't you love tick tock because i'm like yes i do but normally that's at 2 am in the darkness at night time and i really don't like watching musical theater tick tocks to be completely honest specifically like ones with lots of singing in them because i don't really want someone belting in my face at 2 a.m you know my tick tock for you page is kind of strictly cats crafts lgbtq small business tick tock that's that's where i am so i missed the ratatouille thing so in this video that i filmed back in december i basically watched a handful of the videos but yesterday the show went live and i thought why don't i buy a ticket and watch it along with you guys so if you don't know ratatouille the musical is basically something that was started on tick tock as a girl at home i think she was like tied in a room or something and just started singing this song that she'd written that was like the theme tune for ratatouille if there was a musical this was only back in like august lots of people enjoyed it and you know what tick-tock's like it's great because everybody's allowed to join in it just became this massive like viral meme thing they were making costumes and sets and logos and songs and choreography and everything you can get the tickets for it on today ticks it's basically like a pay what you can which i think is amazing as well because i had worries about if it was gonna make it to broadway is it inaccessible then for people all over the world and people who can't necessarily afford a ticket for a broadway show so you can pay what you can so it's between five dollars and a hundred dollars i believe and the stream is live for 72 hours so january the 4th if you watch this before then i would definitely suggest getting a ticket because all the money goes to the actors fund and as we know people in the entertainment business are really struggling right now so any support is amazing i am aware that it is a pay for view thing and also the money goes to charity so i will like be doing a kind of live reaction to it but i'll only be sharing little snippets of it so please do support the content yourself if you can and yet let's watch it together as i say i watch like five videos so i really don't know anything and if you don't know me by the way my name is amy i make a lot of theater content here on youtube if you would like to please subscribe that would be very kind i have to say before we start i feel very mixed about it because as i say i do have the worry about things being taken over by broadway people and you know the people who created this i want to see how involved they are i know that people have been paid for their contribution maybe i look too much at the business side of things but i i do worry about like the people who have invested into the show with their creativity and time and things will they be compensated and acknowledged for what they've done we'll see i have to say i'm quite excited [Music] hi i'm emily jacobson also known as at ajax hundreds of other composers designers choreographers and actors posted their own tick tock contributions this year alone the actors fund has given over 18 million in emergency grants why is this making me so emotional it really wouldn't be amy reacting to something without her crying so we'll see i do love that she's opening it she is the person who originated it i'm very very happy about that also her eye makeup is beautiful a broadway that uplifts the voices of women and queer artists yes i love it so far i love that they're using this platform do you know what all my worries have melted away they really have they've melted away i love that the people who created it are very clearly involved i'm feeling very positive [Music] oh my god this is amazing i don't feel so emotional this is so lovely oh my god he's got a little book oh it's so cute [Music] oh my god this is so well done i know it's directed by lucy moss you know of six fame who we absolutely adore this is so cool he's got the ensemble you know i was like how they're gonna do it my small p uncreative brain just couldn't understand it and this is so cool oh my god i'm obsessed ashley park andre the shields [Music] oh my god this is actually insane i love how adam lambert's in it and it looks like he's playing adam lambert he really said i don't need a costume i'm adam lambert i'm obsessed with the fact that they've used like tick-tock features in the video with the like three people it's so cool stop i can fully see in my head i can see the show i was like this will never make it to broadway now i'm like get it to broadway i love the commitment to the costume you know oh my god [Music] i'm sorry i actually don't know who this man is but his voice maybe i now do believe in love at first listen um i'm in love with this man i would have liked a little bit more of the lady trying to kill the rat because i think it's such a good part of the film but it's okay it's only an hour long i understand [Applause] [Music] the orchestrations are so stunning they're gorgeous aren't they i'm enjoying this [Music] oh my god this is so good i wish i was sat in a theater i wish i was seeing this and i wish don't i miss theater this is just perfect casting i'm i'm just having a great time i'll be honest look at his little face look at that little face okay so i've never seen him as evan hansen i heard clips of him singing before he was in the show but my goodness when you look at him and you see him sing you're like wow like you are evan hansen the voice great little actor i think he's fantastic [Music] i honestly think this is so cute i hope they release these like a cast album because i you know i would listen to this incredible i loved that so much [Music] oh my god i want to download all these songs they're so good are they the girls from six [Music] i can already tell that would definitely be my favorite number in the show hundred is [Music] yes [Music] oh my god i love that i think that one was my favorite that one was my favorite so far i don't know i love so many of what i'm them oh my god stop andre de shields just he just hits that spot doesn't he just um just yes please you are a god i mean just look at him the sequin blazer the rings the brooch i'm just i'm so here for it this is wonderful my heart is so full [Music] i thought that was incredible that was so much better than i thought it was gonna be there's still seven minutes left of the fantastic i will be fully honest i did not expect it to be that good i'm not just saying it i thought that was so well done it was definitely a lot more condensed than it could be i think there's like there's a lot of stuff that was kind of skipped over but obviously i think it's better that they didn't get some writers in to write some songs and i think it's great that it kind of did happen so organically i love how many people were involved i feel like it was very much a celebration of the people who did it rather than like broadway people being like we're gonna take this over do you know what i mean i absolutely loved it 100 want to listen to those songs again wasn't that so much fun do i think it will make it to broadway i don't know if i'm honest i loved it and i think that there is a lot of scope for it i don't know if making it go to broadway i don't know how i feel about that it's like fun and cool and like cute and wholesome and when it goes into like at the moment everything's going to charity it's all grey it's all accessible for everybody but then when it goes to broadway there's all those different things that come into it so i don't know i would be so interested to hear what you think though what a great fun thing i'm so glad i did that i'm so glad i watched it i'm glad i'm back doing videos and thank you so much for your patience while i saw my
