5 Things You Didn't Know You Could do in Downtown Las Vegas (And 1 You Can't)

what's going on guys jacob worth back here with another video of jacob's life in vegas coming to you guys from downtown las vegas nevada currently at the intersection of fremont street and 7th street adjacent corner from container park right here near the el cortez hotel and casino and today i have a video about five things that you didn't know you could do here in downtown las vegas and one thing that you probably would not think would be a big deal but several people have been surprised by this i'm going to try to save you guys from that negative surprise but first i'll give you guys the bonus okay a lot of youtubers always like trying to save the bonus to the end i'm giving you guys the bonus first today now this one i'm going to tell you guys about there are several properties here at downtown in las vegas where if you show them your boarding pass then you can actually get some match play or some free play and stuff like that so the first one i'll actually tell you guys down over here if you fly in southwest or on spirit you go to the d they will give you 50 dollars in match play if you show them your boarding pass within 24 hours of landing you get 50 bucks in match play if you flew on southwest or on spirit that one i actually mentioned in my video the other day i first heard it from say hi to matthew then i saw asa vegas did a video on that one as well and then another place you'll get it at if you fly on allegiance you will get a 50 match play over at the golden gate the d golden gate and actually right here at el cortez they will take care of you too if you come in on any airline i asked them the other day any airline they'll give you 25 in match play they'll give you a free drink and anywhere from 10 up to a thousand dollars it's just total luck of the draw in free play so there's your bonus to kick things off now we'll actually jump into the first thing you didn't know you could do here in downtown las vegas and be sure to give a thumbs up for the triple bonus to kick this thing off now the first thing you didn't know you could do down here in downtown las vegas is actually play a little bit of golf right here at the downtowner for those of you who have never watched buyer before never been in here they actually have a putting area i mean it's not it's not top golf okay you're not gonna be practicing your uh your long drive or anything like that here you're not the driving range but you can play if you're staying here as a guest it's totally free to play if you are just want to come and play it's five bucks a person and also if you're staying here as a guest you um can play plinko they have a little plinko set up in their lobby where you can win prizes like a free drink at their bar or room upgrade and stuff like that so it's a different setup they have here in downtown tucked away most people don't even know about it if you stay at the downtowner this is actually their swimming pool right across the street and your parking spot is actually at this parking lot right over here so right here not even a full block from fremont street if you want to play some golf wire here in downtown you can go ahead and do that the next thing that we'll talk about here in downtown las vegas you know what you can do and i'm sure a lot of you have walked right past this and i even realized it so right here on the corner is commonwealth so we're here on the corner of 6th street in fremont street commonwealth one of the more popular spots here in downtown you can go grab a drink more of a club environment on the weekends that kind of thing but within commonwealth there's actually another bar there's a little one that's hidden away called the laundry room and in order to get inside the laundry room inside there you actually have to have a reservation and you have to have a password to get in there and there's no photos allowed there's no video allowed in there it's a very small environment compared to the overall bar or the overall building and it's very secluded so right inside there i'll either put it on the screen or put it down in the description you guys can look it up to um give you guys the password at least the number to text to get the password so you guys want to get that you can actually have a nice quiet hangout place to have a drink here in downtown even when it's crazy the third thing you did not know you could do here in downtown las vegas actually pertains to weed and it pertains to marijuana now our marijuana laws here in nevada are a little different you could say because yes it is legalized cannabis is legal here but you can only legally consume the product as of right now as the making this video the law could hopefully change in the future but you can only consume product legally either in your residence or in like your friend's residence and you have permission to do so which puts tourists in a tough spot because none of these casinos and hotels want anything to do with it because it's still federally illegal so you can buy your product but you technically as a tourist have no place that you can legally consume however there is a place just up the road here you just go a little bit north here and there's a dispensary called nuwu where they have a 24 hour drive through that you can go drive through pick up your products if you want and they have a smoke lounge inside it's the only smoke alarms i know of uh in the las vegas area and the reason they're able to do that is because their dispensary is on tribal land so because it's on tribal land the state actually does not have the authority to tell them they cannot have a lounge they can't gover them because they're on tribal land so if you guys do want to go any time of day drive through pick up your product or if you guys want to go to a smoke lounge just north of downtown here downtown fremont street a little bit is your dispensary over in new you can do that the fourth thing you did not know you could do here in downtown las vegas is you can actually take a piss on the berlin wall interesting maybe not literally on the wall but you're pretty damn close because there are urinals for you to use you guys go down to uh main street station right over here in the men's restroom it's just the men's restroom uh you will actually see some of the berlin wall in there so you can actually urinate while you're in the bathroom and you can actually see the the berlin wall now ladies you can go in there as well they will actually just you know basically shut the bathroom down briefly the guys will wait for a minute so if you want to go in there the security will shut it down they'll stop it they'll escort you in there you can you know take a photo do that kind of thing and then they will bring you out but uh just please don't take too long when you do that the fifth thing you didn't know you could do here in downtown las vegas this one's going to be big for you history people is just again just a little bit north of here is the old las vegas mormon fort now this is something that is important to las vegas history because it's actually the first permanent a non-native set settlement in the las vegas valley it was actually set up along a creek by mormon missionaries in 1855 so it's kind of hard to imagine i think today for a lot of people that you know there once was a creek coming right through here in uh downtown las vegas that was where the early mormons first set up um their settlement here in the las vegas area and you know here we are a hundred plus years later las vegas has become what it is today all right so those are the five things that you can do here in downtown las vegas plus all the bonuses but one thing that you cannot do this is going to surprise some of you has to do with container park now container park unlike probably the vast majority of places you're in downtown las vegas they will not let you bring outside drinks in here and they will not let you take drinks that you bought in here and bring them out so for a lot of people it's kind of surprising because you know you can buy drinks in one of these casinos right and you can you know walk up and down fremont street in and out of different places and at different casinos they don't care no one says anything about you know the open container so you would think that you could just walk right in here as well but no they will not let you so before you spend a whole bunch of money on drinks and you want to go cruise through container park no they're not going to let you bring them in there any drinks you buy in there they're not going to let you leave with them either and the drinks you buy inside there you can walk around the park inside with them but if you go into a store you're not supposed to drink your drinks while you're in a store it's weird rules it's a weird setup but those are the rules over here container parks i want you guys to like you know wind up having to waste money throw drinks away and stuff like that if you guys come down here over to fremont street so i hope you guys like this video i hope you found it helpful
