good day folks at stompit basement reviews today we're going to look at five ski accessories that i wouldn't want to live without nah that's not true i wouldn't want to ski without them the first one is the packable puffer jacket what is good about this one it's made by recycled materials nice not all of it but fair bit of it next thing is it looks so good a weird downtown regularly and also when i go climbing i use this jacket to stand on there belaying it's great and of course that it fits so well in my backpack once it's packed i never called when i have this one around but here in the swiss alps i don't need to bring it too often what is bad about it takes a while to pack it down the zipper is a little bit annoying and i bought the one with a hoodie this because when i'm on a climbing adventure i like to have the hoodie but the hood is always annoying in the ski jacket so i can recommend to buy the one without the hoodie it's better next one this is so important to me to have a durable leather gloves i don't buy any other gloves than leather ones because nothing else really is durable enough and i like them to last at least a couple of seasons which these products usually do the first one out is pretty thick wonderful leather a nice like neoprene cuff uh hester 4 line it's a very pricey glove i probably spent 150 euros on them in zermatt but usually you can get them for about 100 euros i've used these ones on and off throughout my entire life and they used to last me three four years until they feel really thin and worn out and they're brilliant but these ones are bought in november and i already managed to get some holes here i'll show you i had to tape it even i don't know just some grabs and i had cut them open already much quicker than i usually do but the tape here is a good tip i often tape the this finger because i grab with it and sometimes i slide on the edge and obviously you can cut a hole so i'm willing to give them a break but i have a feeling that hester maybe has gone a little bit downhill on the quality so these are almost taking the first part of my favorite gloves the scot spring glove what the heck is it called the full name anyway something like that link in the description this one is more suitable for spring it's a little bit thinner a bit more nimble it gets some soft material here that despite it not being leather it's been really durable so that are my favorite two gloves next one is i always have a pair of liners i typically buy these ones i got from smart wall when is it sponsor me but they don't anymore very sad about that liners you keep them in your jacket or in your pants put these ones on first then your durable leather gloves and it gives you quite a lot more heat are you much warmer in the gloves so link the description for them too next thing i really like basically any really thin merino ski socks i cannot ski without this everything else gets stinky and awful and i think the smart ones are especially good because they're pretty tight and they're not always 100 merino they put in some synthetic materials in it so they stay a bit more durable and also a bit more stretchy so it's like really sits well on your foot also here i used to be sponsored by them but not anymore i'm really disappointed about it i'm such a fan they're great so this is the atomic amide back protector it's pretty lightest and most breathable back protector i have ever tried or seen i use it in winter for skiing and also when i go enduro biking in the summer what's so special about it is that you can really see through it so obviously a lot of moisture can easily leave your body and go through it you're not going to get so sweaty while it's when it's warm it gets super duper flexible it really follows the back in a really nice way so while it's light and breathable very comfortable it comes with a little bad side with the way it's designed right now it has this little it's like little pipes made out of this kind of material while it's warm it's kind of soft and it hardens on impact but when you ski sometimes and if you have a crash and get some snow in here snow gets stuck easily and it hardens the plastic or if it's just a bit cold and then it's not so comfortable on your skin even if you have like a base layer in between so that's the downside and also the price it's not not so cheap but it's light it's nimble and comfortable next product [Music] i mentioned them in my cheap ski gear upgrades video too i can't mention it enough it's the same once these ones i've used them for two maybe three winters now see those custom footbeds they don't need to come from cedars i don't really care it's freaking wonderful every foot needs it would you agree carlos totally so carlos is filming today he used to make thousands and thousands of these ones when he worked at a boot fitter in london um they're great this model in particular i like this material when it's dry but sometimes this one when it's wet it's it's a little stickies when you put your foot down you get kind of stuck on it so with these ones you got to make sure they dry out well or it's a bit of a pain in the ass to get in them so good thing comfy feet happy person bad thing a little sticky and they all kind of pricey 100 euros minimum maybe but is it worth the colors 100 yeah it really is you can't put a price on comfy feet and a little word of caution with these bad voices here we can see marks of an old boot dryer i had um they're best dry with like a one of these dryers that use a hot air warmer to dry it i had one of these blocks you put in that just gets warm and it actually melted my footbed and it lost the shape a little bit but um yeah oops i avoid that so that are there five ski accessories i wouldn't want to ski without yeah they're great and thank you for watching leave a little comment what are your favorite ski stuff series and yeah use any of them links if you need some of this stuff too i wish you a nice day and i'll see you soon ciao you
