5 places to hide an Apple AirTag on your bike

hi guys Jace here and today we're gonna look at five or more places you can hide an air tag on your bike [Music] now of course the purpose to hide their tag on your bike is to well find it if you're drunk and you've left your bike somewhere and don't know where it is then you'll be able to find it and also if someone steals it then you will be able to find it hopefully there is a flaw in this in that if you press to make a sound then the thief has your bike and it makes a sound and the thief is then alerted as to the fact that there's an a tag on the bike so try not to use the sound or alternatively what you can do is remove the speaker out of the air tag and here's a link up here as to a video where you can remove that now I did try this however for some reason the air tag didn't work afterwards so um I'm not going to do it again what you can do is just make sure that you don't press the sound when you're looking for your air tag and just find it um just by looking at the location now the other thing you can do to be super safe is put two air tags on your bike one may be in a slightly more obvious place the thief will find that and think they've removed the air tag and the other a little bit more hidden therefore you've got two chances of getting your bike back so that's another thing to bear in mind and probably a good idea I bought all of these items off Alibaba Express now some of them look quite good some of them are slightly cheaply made there are however Alternatives that you can buy that are a little bit more expensive and maybe slightly better made so just bear that in mind as you will see me putting these on the bike but surprisingly some of them are quite good let's look at what I've got and how I put them on the bike and let's see if I keep them on there or which one I do keep on there first of all got a couple of these and all they are I think their back is sticky so you can just stick that anywhere inside your bike so you can stick this under your seat you can stick it anywhere in your bike because it's rubberized and the air tag goes inside it won't rattle around so much that fits in there snugly and pretty easily it was the simplest option is better and this is a d severe tag I can just pop under the seat here stick it it'll work great anywhere else on this bike maybe not on an e-bike if you took the battery out and placed this in there that would be great you can place it under I guess some bash guards or you could place it in the pannier but yeah this is a great option and probably the easier option for most people next we have the bike Bell which is pretty cool if it works let's just get it out of the box and have a look actually that's a pretty good sound it's brass oh wow I actually wouldn't think to look there you'd never know there was an air tag in there it looks pretty good quality yeah let's see what it's like when it's on the bike I actually like that a lot now we've got the Bell here if you only likes to use this sometimes um during the week just to cruise around get some Fitness in got a Drive Phillips screwdriver over here it's brass it's pretty good well it's on there literally took a minute to install great and the sound is awesome [Applause] okay next up we've got our reflector pretty good for the commuter comes off like so looks like the air tag Pops in it see if it's better the other way around oh yeah so she put it the other way around Works a hell of a lot better that's quite good as well if the reflector works and you wouldn't probably think of looking in there all right then a very easy one it's already got a reflector here let's have a look at how this one will go pretty straightforward not the best quality so I probably wouldn't keep it on here but as you can see it fits in pretty well and if this one wasn't here you wouldn't notice the difference so yeah that's pretty good and very simple to install bonus here we have a top cap it's pretty simple enough foreign there we go that was pretty easy to put on took me a couple of minutes um it doesn't look awesome but also in the same respects it doesn't look too bad either pretty smooth pretty Compact and yeah quite happy with that surprisingly good now this next item is part of or goes underneath your water bottle cage or Carrier there's quite a few of these on the market um looks like it fits okay and then you've got the two screws I'll fit in your water bottle cager underneath your water bottle okay so you can fit your water bottle cage on top and then this in there now the normal water bottle screws that come with it as you can see aren't quite long enough so we will have to use the ones that we get you do get the special Allen key with it which actually I'm going to have to use not the best looking thing it's hidden reasonably well though and you probably wouldn't notice it I'll see if the water bottle fits in yep one fits fine still needs to be a small one on this bike so just be careful of the clearage okay finally this one looks like it goes underneath your seat it's got lots of fiddly tiny screws in it so hopefully I do not lose any yeah looks like that will clamp on the seat clamp and the air tag will go under here I think I've got a problem with this one here because Trends on how wide your rails are where you can put them down so this one is quite flimsy and I think there are a lot of these on the market I don't like this one so I'm just gonna put this off it's going to go right there now put the other screw on I mean it looks okay and it will be quite neat I think but for today and for me it's a no and we've got better other options here so this is going there you have it what's your favorite one of my favorites is just the basic one here where you can stick anywhere and hide in your frame so that might be worth getting and it's probably the cheapest and the most flexible and you can use it a variety of ways the other one is the Bell that is
