- Can I show you five
different ways to make money with AI art that actually work and along the way teach
you genius new props for generating stunning AI
images that you didn't know? Well, that's the challenge
I've set myself today. So let's jump straight into it. One, Wisdom Story videos. So check out this YouTube channel. It's just four months old, and
honestly, it's pretty crazy. But in less than two
weeks of posting videos, they had their first viral hit. It was this video here. It's basically a glorified
slideshow with AI art and an AI voiceover, and it's
gotten over 2.4 million views, which is insane when you think about it because YouTube lets you
make money from videos that you post with their
monetization program, YouTube assets. YouTube assets is available
in over 200 countries around the world, and it lets you earn money by
splitting advertising revenue with YouTube on your videos. On average, most videos on
YouTube have a $3 and 30 cents to $4 and 40 cents RPM, which by the way, if you've never heard
that phrase RPM before, basically means revenue per mille, which in other words means
revenue per 1000 views. So on average then, a video on
YouTube earns $3 and 30 cents to $4 and 40 cents per
1000 views that it gets. And so if you do the math, then it means that on
average we can estimate that a video like this,
which got 2.4 million views earned as creator $7,900 to $10,560. And honestly, it could be even more because some videos on YouTube
get an even higher RPM. I know that my RPM that I get
for videos is well above $4. So yes, if we just watch
this video for a moment, you can see that it is super duper basic. It is just effectively a slide show. It is a slide show featuring AI art, which will just be
generated with an AI art app like Midjourney, and it's had
a filter put on top of it. And if you were to actually
listen to this voiceover, which I've muted, it's just an AI voice, and chances are the script for this video would've also been
generated with ChatGPT 2. So yeah, this is mostly
just an AI generated video. And well, admittedly, I got
curious and I decided to come and see if this was the
only channel crushing it, creating these wisdom stories. And I quickly discovered
that, nope, it is not. For example, take this channel here. This channel is just five months old and it's had over a hundred
thousand subscribers. They make similar wisdom story
videos using AI generated art and voiceovers, and their
videos get tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands
to millions of views. But that's not all.
Take this channel here. This channel is just two months old, but it's already creating videos that are getting tens
of thousands of views with some videos like this one that they posted just one month ago, getting hundreds of thousands of views. And yes, because I know that
somebody is absolutely going to go into the YouTube
comments and point this out to make money from your YouTube videos, your channel does need to
meet certain thresholds. You need 4,000 watch hours
and 1000 subscribers. But well, from my experience, once you get your 1000
subscribers on YouTube, you've usually had to
have gotten enough views that you'll already have
your 4,000 watch hours too. And well, if we come to Social Blade, you can see that in Dream Spark's first month of posting videos, they gained over 13,000 subscribers, which means chances are they
reached the YouTube threshold for monetization within just days. So then the question is this, how can you generate viral
AI art that's similar? That's a good question. So for this challenge, I'll
be generating my AI art with Midjourney as my app of choice, but you can use whatever
app that you like. So if you prefer DALL-E,
you could choose to use that or if you prefer a free
AI art tool like Leonardo, you could use that too. Either way, it's up to you. So then I set myself a
challenge for this video to create a similar
picture here to this one. And so to do that, I came
and prompted Midjourney and I described the monk that I wanted Midjourney to generate, including his age and pose. And I also specified the angle I wanted the image to be made from, and I specified the setting and I described how I
wanted the image to feel, and I also noted the quality that I wanted the image to be made in. And look, here's the thing, right? Some people are surprised
when I do what I did here and ask for an image to
be made with less detail. Most people assume that
the more detail the better. But in my experience, lower detail can
sometimes have advantages. So for example, I think that
it can create the feeling of an image being more
mystical and calming, you know, which is why I picked that. So after that, I set the
aspect ratio parameter to also be 16 by 9. The aspect ratio parameter
lets you change the size and dimensions of the image that MidJourney generates for you. And so I picked mine to be made in 16 by 9 because on YouTube, the aspect ratio of a standard YouTube video that isn't a YouTube
shorts video is 16 by 9. And then that was it. I let Midjourney go
ahead and do its magic. Now, obviously in practice, you
would want to get Midjourney to do lots of generations
for you to pick from, but for this video, I just
did one and out of these, this one here was absolutely
the best in my opinion. I think it's quite stunning. So then onto number two,
creating cell pillows. So yes, I think this is pretty cool, but using Print on Demand, you can make and sell
your own cool pillows that feature AI artwork. And there are two ways that
you can make money doing this. The first is that you can come to a print on demand
marketplace, such as zazzle.com or redbubble.com, where
you can sell your AI art that you generate onto products that they print and sell
like pillows for a profit. You just upload your art onto the website and you get paid a commission whenever it sells onto
a product like a pillow. But there is another way too. You can also come to a general
online marketplace like Etsy. On Etsy, throw pillows
featuring cute artwork and patterns are also popular. And so here is what you can do. You can come to a print on
demand app like Printify, and then choose a pillow from
the catalog to customize. Then you just upload your AI
art piece onto the pillow, and then you can list your
pillow for sale on Etsy using the printify Etsy integration and price it for a market price. And then you can earn a profit
each time your pillow sells. And I'll show you something
on Etsy right now. There is one style of pillow
that is super trendy right now, and that is William Morris
inspired Throw pillows. Some stores on this niche have made over a hundred thousand
dollars in the past year just selling trending pillow designs, such as this trendy William
Morris frog pillow here. So if you've never heard of him before, William Morris is a
historical British designer. He was very famous for
revitalizing interest in traditional British style
textiles through his artwork. And well, as you can see here on Etsy, when you create designs that
look similar to the textiles that he designed, they look really amazing when printed onto pillows, which is why they've been
so popular with customers. And I'll tell you something,
for better or for worse, Midjourney is amazing
at taking inspiration from other artists,
especially historical artists, and then replicating their
style onto new images. So then to make my own William
Morris inspired Pillow, I first came to Midjourney and prompted it by noting
William Morris's name, and I explained the type
of image that I wanted and I prompted it with
the style that I wanted, and I added in the aesthetic, and I also added in the prompt, Butterfly. Since, well, if you take
a look at the bestselling William Morrison inspired pillows on Etsy, you'll usually find that they're themed around
some sort of subject such as well, a Frog. So I thought that just as a
fun example for this video, that I'd pick butterflies
to be my subject, and then that was it. I just went ahead and I
let Midjourney do its magic and create my design. And honestly, I think that
the results were pretty cool. And by the way, if you'd like to learn how I and others earn
passive income every day from selling print on demand products, you should be sure to download a copy of my free Print on Demand ebook, the 6 Steps that six
Figure Online Stores follow to make over $10,000 a month. You'll find a link to
download my free ebook in the video description below. Alright, then onto number three, create and sell Midjourney prompts. So speaking of Etsy, did you know that there is
a thriving market on Etsy for Midjourney prompts? Take for example, the
set of three PDF files containing Midjourney
T-shirt image prompts. The Etsy research app, Alura estimates that this is made over $27,000. But here's the thing, it's not just Etsy that you can make money
selling prompts on. Nope, there is a dedicated
marketplace to them called PromptBase. Here you can sell prompts for
any AI app like Midjourney, ChatGPT, DALL·E and even Leonardo. But out of all of them, Midjourney is overall the most popular. To give you some ideas
on what sort of prompts that you could create to
sell, these prompt packs that I'm showing you right
now are currently selling the best for Midjourney on PromptBase. You can see that they usually
range from $2 and 99 cents to $7 and 99 cents. Although something that is interesting is that one of the most
popular prompts on PromptBase is actually priced at $14 and 99 cents, which isn't actually that surprising when you think about it, given the fact that this prompt is going to
save people a lot of money because they won't have to
purchase product mockup photos and they won't have to
take their own photos too. Alright then, onto number
four, story time videos. So this here is an example
of a story time video made with AI art for a YouTube channel called Whispered Diaries. It's in one of the classic popular niches for story time videos on
YouTube, which is creepy stories. Now, creepy stories are a
very popular niche for this because one, they can get
huge amounts of views, but secondly, and
probably most importantly, they can have very high cash earnings. On Reddit, a channel owner
in this niche revealed that the average RPM is $11,
which basically means that for every 1000 views that they get, that YouTube pays them $11, which is actually pretty
insane when you consider that the average RPM is about three to $4. And check this out. If we come on over to Social Blade, you'll see that each
month, Whispered Stories usually gets around 1.2
to 1.5 million views getting 1,408,000 views in the last month, which at an RPM of $11 is $15,488 just from YouTube ads. And again, just like with
the Wisdom Story videos, these videos are just
mostly AI generated too. They're effectively a slideshow of AI art. And if you were to actually
listen to the video, which I have muted, you'd hear that it's just using an AI voiceover and the stories themselves are
probably also just generated with ChatGPT 2. And here's another cool thing too. If we go and do a search on
YouTube, you'll quickly find that there are lots of other
new channels crushing it too in this niche, like Dr. Spooks. You can see that they
started uploading videos just four months ago, and yet already they're now bringing in
over 217,000 views a month, which at an RPM of $11 is
$2,387 from YouTube ads. Now, of course, I do have to say, if you're interested in doing this, you don't just have to only
create and post spooky stories. You can pick whatever story
time niche that you like. But for this example, for this video, I'm just gonna run with spooky stories and I'll set myself a challenge to see if I can generate my own
similar AI art picture of a suburbian American House like Whispered Stories did here. So first of all, I'm actually going to open
up Midjourney settings and I'm gonna switch back
to their older 5.2 version. And I'm going to use the
medium level of stylization for this picture because
sometimes, as you will see, Midjourney's older versions
can sometimes be better at generating the type
of art that you want compared to their newer versions. So then after choosing those
settings, I described the image that I wanted Midjourney to create for me. And I also described the architecture that I wanted the house to be in. And I described how
detailed I wanted it to be. And I added in that I
wanted it to have strong use of negative space. And that is because negative space, if you've never heard
of that phrase before, means to have empty space
around the focus of the image. And so you can see with this picture here that the house doesn't
take up the whole picture and there is space around
it, adding to the creepiness. And so in addition, I
also added to my prompt, the feeling I wanted the image to have, and I added in the type of lighting I wanted the image to have. And I also set its aspect
ratio parameter to be 16 by 9. Since again, standard YouTube videos that aren't shorts are in a 16 by 9 ratio. And then after that, I just
let Midjourney do its own magic and generate four images for me. And the results that are
created were pretty good in my opinion, especially variation one. Now, as I said, there is a reason why I switched back to
using midjourney 5.2, and it's because if we come back and change it in the settings
to the current latest version, which is version six, this
is the result that it gave me using that version and the same prompt. You can see that it is
drastically different, isn't it? It is absolutely nothing like I wanted. So if your AI image generator
app has different versions, it is absolutely worth it, in my opinion, to play around with them. So then onto number five, shower curtains. Yes, so just like with pillows,
there are two different ways to create shower curtains using AI art that you can then sell for a
profit to earn money online. The first is to come to a print
on demand app like Printify that sells customizable shower curtains and then upload the art
that you generate onto it to make your own custom one to sell. You can then list your Printify
shower curtains for sale on an online marketplace like Etsy. If you browse through the
top selling shower curtains on here, you'll see that the best sellers usually average and range in
price from about $50 to $70, such as this trending shower curtain here that is selling for $72, which
means that this is an item that has very high profit
margins because on Printify, you can buy shower curtains
for as low as $28 and 56 cents with shipping costing an
additional $5 and 29 cents. And so then as you can see,
using an Etsy profit calculator, the profit margins even
after selling fees for this are over 40%. But that is not the only way
that you can make money too. Nope, you can also come on over to a dedicated print on demand marketplace like zazzle.com or redbubble.com. Shower curtains are a
surprisingly popular product on these marketplaces. And one trick that you can do when you're doing product
research on RedBubble is you can sort designs by best selling to see what are the top selling products. And doing this, we can see
that this shower curtain here featuring two cowboy cats
in this cool vintage style are one of the best selling
shower curtains on RedBubble. As you can see, part of the
visual appeal of this is that it doesn't look like a real image. It looks like it was photoshopped. So then let's set ourselves a challenge. Can we use AI art to create
our own similar image? But this time we will keep
the cool cowboy theme, but instead of theming it around cats, let's instead theme it around dogs. And to achieve this, I'm actually gonna go back
into Midjourney settings and switch it again to
be a different version, this time, 5.1, because
as I'll show you shortly, 5.1 is going to give us
drastically different results compared to the other
versions of Midjourney. So then after that, I prompted Midjourney by describing the type
of image that I wanted, and I added in the minimalism prompt so that we don't get a complex scene. And I also noted this
style that we wanted, and I also added in
that it is photoshopped. And very importantly, I added
in the prompt that it is fake so that Midjourney doesn't try to actually draw us a
realistic looking cowboy dog. And then I went in and also
added in a color palette that we want and I also set
the style parameter to be 500. You can choose anywhere
between one to 1000 for it. The higher the style, the more Midjourney will
make the image look artistic in exchange for not sticking
as closely to the prompt. And then that was it. I just let Midjourney
come and do its magic and do its magic it did. I will freely admit that of the results, version two in the top right
corner was slightly terrifying, but version four in the bottom
right corner was very cool. And you see, here's the thing
about Midjourney, right? If I'd changed the version
to be a different one, as you can see here, the results would've been
drastically different and not quite what I wanted. So for example, version six
created some very cute results, but they were too realistic. So if the AI art generator
you're using has different modes or versions, don't be
afraid to switch them up. So then if you'd like to learn
more about how I make money by selling print on demand products, be sure to watch my next
video here on screen, and I'll see you in the next video.
