all right this is a 2r a 475 v i'm going to attempt to rebuild this unit completely rebuild it if you rebuild this transmission the way i'm going to do it you should come out with a pretty good unit that will last you for a while first thing you want to do on the bottom of here they have some sensors with number eight boats you want to take those out take them out move them to the sides already got the pan bolts out take the pan off take the filter out these are number eight boats you want to [Music] take [Music] so so [Music] take the tens out you notice that these are longer than the ones on the side longer shorter okay shorter ones on the side on the aluminum portion the long ones are in the center left this one in reason i left this in take it out it has a clip right here this goes in here to hold this um epc solenoid in so it goes right there put the boat in there so you know now you got to take this clip off here clear that up clip up there blow that up push this one in this is the new style here there's another bolt there just got to come up right here inside here there is a filter make sure you know where it goes goes in there move it to the side right here it's a hat see how it went in accumulator piston spring goes in like that check the spring some tiny break [Music] down now this spring here i showed you in the previous video how these things break if you see one that's not broken you change it anyway something that's wrong there because this is down that should be up though let's see this is a tool that's designed to press that piston down [Applause] this is gonna be replaced with a new one anyway never reuse that get you a chance to see the two [Music] this is what the tool looks like two bolts here there's a press squeeze it press down lift it up okay this tool is for pressing it down and also for pressing it down for you to put the snap ring back in take this out [Music] oh this got a broken spring in here see that spring right there it's broken uh-huh right there no good never this first time i've seen one of these broken like this i'm gonna put a new one in here now when you take it when you're taking this one out you use that same to press down so oh this size so so done okay [Music] okay so that's what this tool is for help you press this down put the snap ring in and press it down take the snap there's another one right here right here okay actually might as well do everything because i'm going to change even the epc get this here this here you're going to have to probably get something to press down on there okay there you go something that's broken in here oh it ain't okay but this was broken sometime it is okay shhh wow hmm to get down in here i have a 3 16 12 3 16 12 point that i shave down you made it let me see here again okay shake it down and made it narrow to get in between there 3 16 12 point i shaved it down all right now i'm gonna move this back pull this out of the way now we can get to the epc so we know wait move it out the way now okay on this side over here you have the wire harness you can push it up from the bottom from the bottom pull it up if there it doesn't have any water or oil coming through if it does then change it all right let's let this down so teens [Music] some of these have a slide hammer that you can put inside here um let me see if i have one you don't need it you can kind of hold this and tap it from side to side let's see up use a lid hammer pulling up phew now now i'm gonna turn this down and smack it all right here's the pump spring intermediate clutches if these are not bad you could reuse these they hardly ever go bad this is broken okay this part here goes around this drum here we always update this with a different spring take the band [Music] notice this band it's not burnt at all so that means that i mean it's not bad we know that it had a broken spring so pull this out over here so y'all can see bearing so this is not broken you can reuse it if it doesn't have deep gouges in there you can reuse it this one doesn't it's not broken something was messed up something definitely because this has been scraping on the back right here i'm sure this piece didn't work its way down here something else we gotta figure out what's going on i like this screwdriver because it has this shape to it [Music] hmm something happened so i'm in gonna is a retainer screen get that out oh it's got messed up see this in here see that it's messed up this here this bushing is messed up okay that bearing let go in there which allowed that sunshine to dropped down okay let's get this band [Music] pull this out here's where the bearing messed up right here i'm gonna need this bearing you're gonna need another one of these too on the back there's another washer don't forget this whole piece up make sure you're examining this make sure there's no teeth that has been broken off this looks good all right oh there's also a washer here make sure you keep this on you don't want to mix this up with another washer that looks like it okay now one other thing you want to do i forgot don't miss place this and i'll show you where this goes we put it back now i'm going to take this off here 13's oh so now what you want to do you want to look in here where you see these green groups see if you can see them right here if they feel gouged out it means that there's bad you would have to get another case or repair this but if they're fine and it's just the wear marks then you're fine these just wear marks you don't feel the grooves it's just to wear marks so this can be reused this case is good all right so this is the disassembly of a 4r70w or 475w or 475v transmission the next step is take this and clean the case out you can put it in the machine washer or clean the inside to make sure it's clean you
